Still, as the market has finally recovered (I believe), it’s now time to see where things could be heading up to the end of the year.

Bitcoin will do well, but so will altcoins. Once the market gets media attention again, I predict everyone will get in to "get another chance" at making some money.

What's more important these days is decentralization. The past 6 months, we've seen TONS of centralized exchanges doing either shady things, (Enforcing KYC, freezing/banning accounts), and let's not forget the exchange hacks!

Decentralized Exchanges (DEX's) will surely take off in the future, allowing people to trade peer 2 peer with no middleman inbetween.

This is just one of the many altcoins, that will surely go through a nice run.

Bitcoin prices will slowly go up and I believe Bitcoin will touch 15K in this year 2020. besides that I also hope Altcoin can follow the price of Bitcoin because this year I want to see the market go to back green again after all this time in red for quite a long time. for now I see the price of Bitcoin in a period of increase and it is not difficult for Bitcoin to reach 15K on this year.

Maybe it will happen where bitcoin will reach 15k in 2020. There is an important event that is awaiting the halving bitcoin.
to reach the price of 15k it takes a lot of processes. Halving events make new investors or old investors enter the bitcoin market and make bitcoin volume higher.

As per your tittle and it will happen for bitcoin to hit 15k in 2020. We have seen bitcoin is growing from 4k to the above 10k just in a few months and that looks possible to happen anytime. Just hope that the bitcoin can keep this trend until the end of the year and 15k looks so easy to be reached by bitcoin but btw it looks like the growth of bitcoin is following the growth of gold too.

I'm pretty sure it won't smooth as you think to reach 15k there will be hundres corrections before reach that price because right now people are always taking a little profits and instantly sell their investment. So i think reaching that price will need halving first and the media should make the good news about crypto and it will bring back btc price to it's throne

Bitcoin will slowly grow as a whole bitcoin will continue to rise in the next few days and I think this will soon redeem that price, maybe this will soon be achieved within a few months?
We know that this year there are a lot of big events like half, Ethereum 2.0 etc. so this can be influenced by it so that many investors are ready from now and invest a lot in bitcoin.

Hopefully it will. The bear market has lasted for two years now and the halvening is near. Furthermore, Furthermore, with the stockmarkets hitting one record after the other eventually some cash will flow in btc.. Imo, if 2020 isn't a good year for cryptos I don't know when it will be  ;D

since the beginning of this year we have had many important events to boost the price of bitcoin itself, $ 15k might be very easy to achieve in 2020 considering there may be many other events that make bitcoin prices quickly recover, not just talking about the halving bitcoin event but it could be many other events that make the value of bitcoin grow again, bitcoin remains a mystery unpredictable but the benefits for bitcoin holders who bought it earlier this year

The interesting thing for me about this latest mini-rally is that it was alts that started it.

ETH and particularly XRP rose significantly, before Bitcoin eventually started to rise too, whereupon BTC sucked money from alts, which as a consequence have now slowed their rises significantly as BTC pulls money from the rest of the market.

The fact that alts started the rise suggests to me that market confidence is increasing and alts are underpriced right now.

agree with you. Today January 8. Bitcoin has reached $ 8,300. this gives an indication that bitcoin is slowly starting to enter the bullish area. and bitcoin has ended in falling prices. Bitcoin halving will take place in a few months. and I'm sure bitcoin will easily reach $ 15k. we'll see the effect of halving. optimistic thinking, it will be achieved.

last year in 2019 second quarter,Bitcoin Reached $14k(almost) and that year happens without Bitcoin Halving,so what we can expect for this year when month of May is neer to come?

i am sure 15k$ is just a chicken this year,though this will not come earlier and the holder will make profit but the panicked?surely will cry.

Well it can reach $15000 but the possible time where it might happen is in the last quarter of this year 2020 because the halving will not take effect or pump bitcoin's price soon as the halvening is done but if we will not see it this year im sure it will be in the first quarter of 2021 but in this year i suspect bitcoin to still have a price pump but not because of the halving but because we are getting cryptocurrency more mainstream as companies starts to consider crypto in their projects.

bitcoin can easily touch 15,000$ mark when bull run happens , im not sure if before or after the halving the bull run starts , but i guess that bull run will the most memorable.

Yeah, not only can we hit $15,000, but we could easily end up surpassing it. In the heat of the next bull run, we could very well see $30,000 or more as a new all time high this time around. I think with the halving coming up and news of the 100% return on in investment last year coming out, we'll start seeing the price really ramp up and hopefully hit new all time highs this year.

What we are now observing in the charts and what is happening with cryptocurrency prices is not market recovery, but a reaction to military tension and warfare in Iraq and Iran. It still cannot be said that the situation on the cryptocurrency market is stable. This situation may change at any time.

The answer is simply yes, why? because we had achieved that price before, there's no reason we will not achieve that price again.
What I really believe is that bitcoin will recover at the right time and will create a new all time high and I'm thinking that this year has a big possibility.

After several days of being stable at the price of 7500$ it now becomes around 8300$. I also think that this slowly rising price of bitcoin might be a great sign to its recovery. Aside from bitcoin, I also see some changes in the price of ripple and in other cryptocurrencies. Once bitcoin steps up above 10,000$ we can say that this year it will might hit the 15,000$. We all know that bitcoin halving is coming and if the price keeps on rising maybe after the halving we can experience again the bull run.

Certainly this year bitcoin will reach 15000 $ or even higher. In 2019 ATH of bitcoin is 13700 $, so this year it will easily be defeated by a lot of good news happening. Halving Bitcoin will make it easy for Bitcoin to break this ATH, we just need to buy and wait for the next few months for Bitcoin to go up as we want.

This is same question that was asked last year.a some experts predicted btc @15k$ in 2019. But all Hope's was lost. I also keep asking if bitcoin would ever hit 15k$ this 2020. Well this is a question that's unpredictable.

We cannot predict anything yet for now considering that bitcoin's condition is not as good as it was before. The incoming halving will surely make an impact to bitcoin which can either be positive or negative but it is more likely to be a good change. Let us hope for the best for this year and make sure that we are focusing on our investment and setting it ready for the possible bull run that may occur anytime soon. I think bitcoin condition is much better than before, because the price grows naturally(the demand comes from people who know something about cryptocurrency not from someone who follows the trend) unlike before it went up because of hype. today bitcoin breaches $8,000 resistance and we are expecting it to go higher again and then cooled down after it hits $10,000.

$ 15K USD for Bitcoin in 2020 is very possible, at the beginning of this year Bitcoin started the price movement well, hopefully the up trend can continue. especially now that there are many exchanges that have many features that support mass adoption of bitcoin.
If all goes well, Bitcoin will reach more than $ 15K USD or maybe really get a new ATH.

it's not true at all when in 2019 bitcoin could reach 14k as the new ATH at that year. It seems like that the next ATH will come again. You didn't know what will be happening for sure. As long as the prediction is still make sense and that may possible. I personally never take any prediction seriously especially for those non sense predictions that already made by big names ni crypto.
If you are taking the last year's chart and it's still worth to read it and take some from there as the data to determine how high bitcoin will go this next month or this year.

I also believe that but it seems it's still too early to believe it. my personal opinion, 15k usd will be achieved if the price of bitcoin has touched above 10k, if bitcoin is still below 10k usd I'm still on the alert because this could be just a trap by the big whale. Well, at least the current market is good, not bleeding anymore.

Most of the expectations for bitcoin right now will be a stronger and better price increase than 2019 but I believe that without a certainty like you said, even when the halving event kicks off, it's still a small basis for the value of bitcoin to go up, an absolute opportunity for bitcoin does not exist.  In addition, we need to know that this market always brings unexpected pitfalls, sometimes too much good news is just a bait to guide us, a lot of times in the past have fallen into similar conditions and we need to wait until 2019 to get a recovery, don't forget this painful lesson

Looking at how hyped we started the year, I don't doubt it is a possibility. Since it is bitcoin, we are talking about it is hard to say anything really because it could be $30k by the end of the year or $3k and neither would be impossible for how bitcoin works, if some rich folk that has $100k bitcoin comes out and sells all of his coins he could cripple the economy and the market and price could go down to $3k easily right now, or if a finance goliath decides to open a crypto investment department and invest 1 billion bitcoin could go to $30k, none of that would be unbelievable in the world of crypto.

However, we started the year very bullish and looks like people are very happy with whats going on right now, so I don't doubt we will at least for a little more while go up.

Bitcoin will do well? It has already done well and more so than most people's expectations (without counting the silly expectations after 2017.

we still don't know the surprise of what will happen to the price of Bitcoin in 2020 and of course I also hope that Bitcoin will be able to penetrate is number more than 15K. I see that currently the price Bitcoin is in its infancy and we really don't know whether the bear market really is over or not. actually not difficult for Bitcoin to reach 15K if there is a big pump on this year.
 

But don't be too optimistic because it's crypto, bitcoin is also able to give suprice with big dump eventhoug there are halving this year whales are always have strategy to play with people pshycology and make people are FOMO. So becareful with the investment and don't forget to always set a stop loss.

before halving price will start it for you 15K seriously this is very small for run ,opinion maybe not the same usually in august september the price of bitcoin improves but when there are moments when halving ,trader and investors will focus more on trying to take something for profit or hodl but my advice is that we should stay on track when that happens don't be greedy or panicky and stay calm mate

The recovery is still not a sure thing, for what I can see we saw a few days of positive growth and this is making the hopes of everyone to go up, but we still need more before we can safely conclude the recovery is here, personally I still think we will see a few months in which the market does not seem to do much and then just one month before the halving we will begin to see the trend reversal we want and since we reached 14k last year it is very possible we surpass 15k this year.

I thought the bitcoin increase will be consistent but I was wrong, currently there's a minor dump that happened. The price go below $8k and majority of alts follow bitcoin.

Since we are only in the first quarter the price might reach $15k if everything went well after the halving, they said this event can trigger the price to increase. Well its a long way to go before this year end so lets just wait if there's a changes in the market.

I don't doubt that bitcoin can touch the price of $ 15,000, but the current recovery doesn't seem so stable. the proof, the price of bitcoin is very difficult to maintain the price of $ 8,300, even I think many who use the moment to sell, especially those who buy at a price of $ 6000. however, this year it is likely that the price of bitcoin can reach that point.

2020 still really long way to go. And anything can really happen in cryptocurrency. Bitcoin can pumped after halving, or maybe dumped and halving can't really help about it. But for me i will agree if bitcoin will get pumped. $10000-$15000 i think still on possible price to reach.

Everyone predictions are optimistic for the time being, but I believe it will take some time for this to become a reality as the $15,000 is not going to be easily achieved this year. Currently, you can choose long-term investment if you want but firstly take the time to analyze this coin because the crypto market is very volatile and very unpredictable.

Anyway, hopefully things will go well because 2 years ago the bear market caused a lot of people to lose money and this year the market will definitely improve again like 2017 again.

Looking at the pace which the bitcoin is trending there is no doubt about it and yes bitcoin will cross the mark of $15k if the same trend continues for couple of more weeks which will be a good sign after a long bearish market. But at the same time we need to be focused on it as there are chances of sudden dump as well so it's better to remain cautious to take appropriate action if we witness any dump.

Be patient and wait because the crypto market usually never happens to your want and the risk is likely to happen unexpectedly. This year, I have not had much confidence because Bitcoin in recent days has only increased in price when there are outstanding news and can not make me feel secure during this time. However, I would invest if Bitcoin returned to $10,000 by the middle of this year because this is a very important milestone for the entire market.

All the possibilities could have happened in 2020, especially now that bitcoin prices are slowly starting to experience an increase in prices which is almost 14% from the previous price which is only in the price range of US $7,559 and most likely that price will continue to increase along with the halving day in the year this and if we look at the tension between America and Iran it also slightly affects the current price of bitcoin.

We don't know what the future of bitcoin will be like, but we can expect that price to happen in 2020. I believe, yes. The market was unpredictable but  believe that Bitcoin has a big potential to rise better this year. 2019 wasn't the best season for crypto so we should expect the best this year especially now that there are lots of upcoming events that would influence the price of Bitcoin.

since yesterday bitcoin broke above $ 8000, it was proven at the beginning of 2020, at least bitcoin still has a chance to get a higher price this year, I think $ 15k is a reasonable price to achieve this year, the market has almost recovered since last year and what we see now is that the bear market seems to have ended, as we see no longer seen they hit it below $ 6000 since last year, so looking at the highest price of bitcoin in that year, it looks like $ 10k can be reached earlier this year

actually, the potential price of bitcoin rises greater than that, and I believe that the price of bitcoin will exceed that price. it's just that the potential can happen at the end of the year, or after halving. however, halving also happened in 2016, and the price went up in 2017, which could happen this year or in 2021 as well.

Though I don't think the market is fully recovered but I believe Bitcoin will surely hit 15K USD this year! After a long bear market, Bitcoin's price went to almost 14K USD in 2019! After then to now Bitcoin holds its position very strong, though sometimes we saw Bitcoin at under 6K USD but that was for a very limited time. So, this year as the halving is coming and the crypto atmosphere very positive everywhere, so, it is very possible for Bitcoin to cross the 15K USD!

It all depends upon your idea of recovery which means what was your initial investment and hence the term recovery changes with every investor, i am happy with the current market as i invested early. You have to understand that the market recovered from the bottom and you cannot call this a bear situation, the market rallied a lot in the last rally and you cannot consider that as the price to be as it was a bubble and now we are seeing the real price of bitcoin which has stability.

I've saw that also that's why we can see some certain dumps happening earlier and good thing we stabilize to $8k level since maybe there will be a second bullish round will happen anytime today but hopefully we can see a stable growth until the ATH will be reached but I expect this to happen on third quarter maybe on 4th or high probabilities in year 2021 maybe we can see that Bitcoin will surpass it's past ATH.

We can’t say yet but we are getting near to that price and I’m confident that bitcoin will not stop from rising until we reach the moon again and again. This is just a cycle, if we dumped then in time we will bounce back and 2020 can be the best year for that. Btc will go beyond that price this year 2020, have faith on the future updates.

We are barely over the first week of 2020 right now, maybe its too quick to make decisions that are huge and talk about what holds in a year that is 356 days of it is left? Sure it looks like there is a huge chance we can hit 15k this year and I wouldn't put it against reaching a new all time high neither but looking at the movements of the past week and calling bitcoin future price would be quite funny, even in the past week we have seen it go up, down, up, down back to back, kinda like a mario game cheat :D.

So, maybe we should try to cool down for a while, get back and just watch what happens, sure do your own trading meanwhile but to discuss what will happen so quickly looks like maybe it is just a bit of too much predict these days with so little data we have.

The current price is positive sign and once it continues there is a possibility that bitcoin will reach 15k. Though a lot of things may happen this year but in my view, btc probably will increase this year. Indeed I am one of those being confident in bitcoin.

Never lose your hope with bitcoin and never follow any bitcoin price prediction. We already have a small bull run due to global tension between USA and Iran. Next bull run is expected due to coin halving. Its just a prediction, I am 100% sure that bitcoin will defiantly touch 15k$ in 2020. Enough with bearish bitcoin

It is really a perfect expectation in the market but we people need to wait till the halving time and if the growth has been increased along with the adoption by the various giants, we may expect the great bump in the price chart.
May be we can find the 20k USD also in the market.

many say the price of bitcoin this year can go down to 5k and many also say the price of bitcoin can go up to 10k in my own opinion if the price of bitcoin will not rise to 15k, in my opinion bitcoin prices will only go up to 10k-12k because 15k is quite heavy achieved

In 2019 Bitcoin practically grew to $ 15k, now the market looks much better and I think that this year Bitcoin can grow to $ 15k.

We haven't seen the potential effect of what can halving do to the whole market. Bitcoin will significantly increase and it's inevitable. The likely of the bull run for this year is very high but it's best to always test the market because leaning towards the belief of most.

as a Bitcoin maximalist, I believe that Bitcoin would be big in future. $ 15k is easy thing to reach
but, we must be patient to wait. let it flow, everything gonna be okay

Everyone has different opinions when predicting the value of Bitcoin but I think things will not happen exactly as you say because any of our predictions are wrong. In fact, for Bitcoin to reach $15,000, the market needs to attract new investment funds and investors must tend to buy more. However, Bitcoin has not had much improvement in price so it is difficult to reach a high price.

Of course, I'm not sure what will happen next but the altcoin season needs to appear this year for bitcoin to have a chance to rise to a new high price.

maybe the price increase that occurred earlier this year is a sign that prices will become very high in the future. people always stick to it at the end of this year, and I also believe that prices will be very high. I think will hit 15k this year, possible during halving event, all of us waiting for it and why not for a new ATH, why not to reach 25k until end of year, but always depends a lot of many factors so we can't guarantee that something will happen.

I am not sure what will happen but the possibility of Bitcoin reach $15,000 is very high and I will definitely consider investing soon because the current value of Bitcoin is still very cheap. in 2017 many people doubt the capacity of bitcoin to even hit 15k as well,but in shock?Bitcoin reached almost 20k so this is a relevant question because halving is near.so for me?yeah it will and may have more higher value that what you expected.

It could be a sign but it could be not too. Just look upon 2018, the early of the year was good for altcoins and I still can say for bitcoin but you knew it how much devastation it brought to most of us here. The expectation that we had for it didn't go properly.

I think this is a little different in 2018. In early 2018, it still had a big effect from 2017, so the potential starts with very high prices, it's just that as time goes on, the prices are declining because of so much negative news.
At the moment, there is quite a lot of positive news upfront, and bitcoin prices also started to rise at the beginning of the year, even though in 2019 price fluctuations are pretty bad. so, I am pretty confident with the potential price that can happen in the future.

but never over expecting about the halving because there are some scene that might come our way and may change the the good thing into bad.

though there is a proof about making market high in each halving but things may not if the whales do their dirty jobs.

We have been waiting since 2018, and it's almost two years that the market has not recover into bullish move.
Every year, we have some big speculation that bitcoin will rise due to specific even, this time around we are speculating a bullish effect on the halving, hopefully our expectation will be realize this year.

there is still a very long time in 2020, now it is still at the beginning of the year, don't expect too high first. just enjoy the current rise in bitcoin prices. if you think back, for traders the increase from the price of 7.2k to 8k yesterday was pretty good. but if for the holders it will definitely be a different story because the expectations are beyond imagination. waiting waiting and waiting.

I already learn how to become more patient and having a positive mindset. But I don't want to expect for just like we mostly did since last 2017 bullish. We thought that it all be fine and keep moving high but it surprises us.
Halving in coming closer and the market price moves slowly but I'm not really convinced that it will keep moving enough for me to think that bullish will come later. I know $15k is reachable, we only just give hopes for continuous growth otherwise, we fail our expectations again.

That's good, you really believe in a recovery that is bound to happen and to reach the price of 15k this year, I'm also very sure it will be achieved soon, but we can't expect it quickly even though the trend at the beginning of this year can be said to be very good. It's probably true, every person here ask the same question over and over again! Who claim that bitcoin will hit 15k this year is a big liar, nobody can give any guarantees about the bitcoin price. Of course that most of us here would like to see bitcoin at much higher price, and that to be soon if it's possible, but reality is something else. I think that chances for bitcoin to hit 15k this year is low! I don't say it's impossible, I say that if it happens that would be like some very lucky hit!

Of course because they always long for a better market, and if the have experience the 2017 bull run and they benefited on it, then they would hope that the time will again come. It's not easy what we are experiencing now, because of FUD the market has not recovered fully yet, especially the altcoins which were hugely affected by the bear market, if there's a chance it will rise, it should be bitcoin achieving a new milestone of success.

And don't think that $15k is an easy win but it could be achievable. Besides, we almost touch that price last year and thinking about how halving could have a better play this year, it could be real. I am so positive just like the others, though we can't expect for another ATH or another 2017 but seeing how the market improve and moving away from in 2 years of bearish, I feel gratitude.

Yeah i think even when there's nothing good news from bitcoin last year we could almost reach that point i'm sure after the halving the price would be so much higher. 2 years bearish is already too long and the whales are already hungry for big profits. I dont think 15k is a hard target for bitcoin because last year, when bitcoin in a bull run it almost reached 14k easily. This year, i believe bitcoin will break its ATH and maybe make a new unbelievable new ATH. But this only my opinion and not a investment suggestion.  ;D

Though I can not ensure you about it, but I strongly believe Bitcoin at 15K USD this year is very simple to achieve. Even BTC price can hit 15K USD before the Bitcoin halving. Right now BTC stays over 8K USD, in the next pump I believe it will cross the 10K USD zone, then 12K, then 13.5K then 15K USD. Everyone expects Bitcoin will cross the 20K USD I mean the previous bull run's records and that will be the bull run, but for me, Bitcoin at 15K USD is enough price to accept as a start of second bull run.

It's barely having a hard time to reach $15,000 last year so I don't think there's a good chances that it will reach or even surpass the $14,000 highest price last year. But I strongly believe that everything is possible in cryptoverse due to its volatility there's a 50% chance it will touch the $15,000 this year.

Personally, I don't believe that Bitcoin will be able to reach its ATH this year, but I do believe that in the coming years Bitcoin will grow above $20k.

I also believe that BTC is able to reach 15k in 2020, but the process required is also not easy. the current market situation is getting better with a positive event which is halving bitcoin which will soon happen. this makes bitcoin prices go up and investors come.

If what you have expected is the Bitcoin's halving will bring a new ATH this year, then you probably overestimating the halving process. Previous charts tells that Bitcoin halving will become effective after almost a year and it is not going to happen in 2020. The year that you need to wait is the year 2021 but of course, before that we will surely notice a bottom price first before it skyrocketed to the moon.

New year has passed on our overwhelming celebration, and as bitcoin became so controversial on different aspects; obtaining the most possible value was too hard to predict by now. Hitting at $15k within the period of 2020, I guess it's capable but if bitcoin all alone would grow I think the circulation wouldn't be effective to the entire crypto community. It must be spent wisely on other promising coins together with btc, so that other coins will also generate their own sustainable gains.

Not for this year as bitcoin must surpass the 2019's ATH to be able to break the new ATH. It may not easy to happen caused by there will be so many resistance and a lot of uncertainties in the market will prevent bitcoin to make it happen for that needs a lot of work right now. It may happen in the next few years as the impact of the bitcoin halving is for long term.

I personally think that it can be possible for Bitcoin to reach such desirable price this year 2020 if you will be checking at the Bitcoin's current price state as of the moment which is playing between $7,500 up to $8,000 which is literally half way down there to that desirable price. It could be possible to happen if the price will continuously rise or increase as the days, weeks or months passes by. We are just into the first month of the year so we cannot further conclude if that price range will be or will not be possible to be achieved since there could be a lot of things and happenings to come that can be a contributing factor that will help Bitcoin to rise up its price or the other way around of being a hindrance to it for rising its price. The important thing we must focus for now is the present for it is where we reside right now and just wait to see what could possibly happen on the next days of this year. I don't think we'll just see a $15k price for Bitcoin, the market is likely to be at the bottom for a while and then start to grow very strongly.

Actually we did expect bitcoins to reach the All Time High in the year 2019 but it did not happen as expected. 2020 year might bring some revolution in the price of bitcoin as we might soon see some growth but I do not believe that we will not see bitcoins going below $7000 now. But on contrary what I think is that bitcoins will first have a dump anytime before having a pump.

If we study graph carefully, any pump is always followed by a dump and according to my Technical Analysis(TA) I feel that bitcoins will first touch $6500 or even bottom to $6000 before making a pump and reaching to $10,000. Once bitcoins reach $10,000 I can make my further TA and find new targets to enter as well as exit.

I'd pretty much guarantee $15k will happen this year. I think price will spend a at least a few months at and above $15k this year, towards the end of the year. That's less than a doubling in value from now, which shouldn't be too hard. I think this year will see a peak price of $18k-$20k.

In 2019 Bitcoin rose to $ 13700 when everyone analyzed and thought that the bitcoin price would quickly collapse. And this year people expect the price of bitcoin to rise above $ 15,000 and surpass ATH 2017 because of halving bitcoin. You think?  I watch a few altcoins (because I own some of them) and they seemed to rise in tandem with bitcoin, which is what they usually do.  Having said that, I don't follow Ripple so I wasn't aware of its increase in price.  I'm not sure if altcoins led the way in the past couple of weeks, but to me it doesn't matter all that much anyway.

As far as whether bitcoin can it $15k this year, I think it certainly can--and that's also a reasonable price, too.  I would rather $15k be the high for the year than something outrageous like $25k or higher.  Bitcoin can go off on mega bull runs, but we all pay the price for that when it crashes and all the speculators get shaken out of the market.  $15k would represent basically a doubling in price, and that's good enough for me.

By analyzing the chart and volumes, it looks like we're still in the bearish trend of the market and the resistance is to strong to break with this much volume. Bitcoin still need more time in accumulation and if it gets that, only then we may get in to the resistance is 9k - 10k. As halving is near, it may happen soon.

Bitcoin I'm sure will indeed go on another mega bull run in the near future, but that's probably not gonna happen the year of the halving. Surely sometime in 2021 or maybe even as late as 2022 we should absolutely expect a mega bull run followed by a huge crash. Market dynamics aren't gonna just change like that. This is something that I do not really want to see, we already saw bitcoin last year reaching a price close to that level and then crashing all the way to 6500, and I do not want to see that again, maybe if you are a speculator that is something that you may want but if you are someone that actually wants bitcoin to become successful and be adopted all over the world then we need that bitcoin is able to sustain a price for a long time otherwise it makes no sense to use it as a currency.

We should be aware that in a uptrend there is no such a coin that increase straight, there are always pullbacks that happening. I know is not easy for bitcoin achieve with higher price above $15,000 but looking with situation where pass two weeks in new year we got bitcoin could raise up to higher price from $7,800 and now bitcoin raise above $8,5000. Will possibility in this year bitcoin could hit above $15,000 but not change higher price as soon possible but week by week bitcoin could raise up to higher price.

I believe that$15,000 should not be a bench mark for Bitcoin in this year 2020 because this is the year that halving will take place and from past history of halving event it use to be an event that will increase Bitcoin and other altcoins price more than the percentage increase you speculated above.

It's not as it could possibly rise more and create a new ATH, that's how powerful BTC is especially if there's a real hype happening and I think the upcoming halving is quite enough to bring the price of bitcoin higher. A 100% at the current price now would only make bitcoin over $17,000 and it could happen just like the hype of BSV which pump more than 300% in one day if I am not mistaken.

according to my technical analysis, if you have to predict the price of Bitcoin throughout 2020.  the price of Bitcoin which may be reached at its highest point is around 18,000$.  but with a note that it must pass the previous Resistance point at 12,000$ and 15,000$.

and the possibility of a bearish move to the support point of 4000 $ if it happens continuously.  but I hope that will not happen.

I am not good at predicting price through chart movement so I always look for price prediction on the internet and read articles and news regarding Bitcoin.  While searching the net almost majority of article are writing about a possible $14k rally before the halving and possible $20k at the end of the year due to the halving hype effect.  I don't dare to say that it will hit $15k this 2020 but I am hoping that bitcoin will.

I think the price hitting the bottom had ended the last bottom ie support rejected the price at late December till early January this year I envisaged that the price might temporarily corrected again before heading to $10K thus hitting $15K in the no too distant future probably before the end of this year this is very achievable all things equal most importantly the upcoming halving which is the catalyst that would likely triggers the bullish run of the price of bitcoin.

Everything is possible, we might see bitcoin hit 15k USD or perhaps not. Actually, it is too early to predict whether the price will hit that amount. Before it's going to 15K it should pass the 10K UDS first and I believe it will happen soon this year. As for today the market have gone healthy better than what  it is before. Market grew from 7k to 8k and luckily it even hit 9k but stayed for a short time. Well, it is quite steady at 8.6k and I do think we might able to see 9k once again, however it might be temporary as well, the thing is, can the market hit 10k? This year already bitcoin has marked its price above $9000, upon the same it is possible to reach above $15000 within the year end. This in my view is a correction before a big rise in the price.

I didn't think that $20k will hit this year, for me that is impossible. that's need more hype like in 2017 or more and halving is near then the market is still not that improve or passed our expectation. we need to recover the people's trust to make that 20k possible, if the market didn't make a higher demand then no more chances for that price but $15k or less, for sure that will hit and everyone is expecting that.

I think that if there are no unpleasant surprises, the Bitcoin price will not only easily reach the price of  15k, but I think it has a chance to reach even $50k this year. I don't know if the increases will start now or whether we will have to wait for the market reaction until mid-year - about a month after halving.

By the looks of it bitcoin is prime to go up again, there is plenty of times during this bull run that price has fell down and that means we are going stronger these days, unlike the times we went up really high but also dropped hard. So, from the looks like bitcoin is at the very least doing well right now with all the people selling because price went up.

What you have to realize is that price of bitcoin going up means that more and more people will sell, and when you reach the resistance point (which last I check was at 9.2-9.4k level) there will be even more people selling, so if price doesn't skyrocket over that price, there will be a fall and that is expected, however thankfully the price didn't went down too much which means we are still on a bull mindset.

I think 15k$ is possible. Again it can be go negative. A lot things depends on it. Both technical and fundamentals are very important here. $15K is gonna be easy one hype starts soon,.. FUD and FOMO are both in existent but this time around, FOMO is gonna excel.

One key driver is FOMO, remember that last year, when the price hits 5 digit, people started to FOMO and push it to $13k. So the same thing could happen again, who knows. Although we have some correction after getting into the $9k psychological barrier, I'm sure we can make it again.

We are surely looking like reaching 15k every single day nowadays, the price keeps going up and up and that helps us get closer to it by the way. There is a possibility that bitcoin's price would increase up to $15,000 this year of 2020, and the current price of bitcoin is $9000+, which it also has a chance to increase it's price up to $10,000 maybe in the end of the month of February because more people are buying bitcoin every month.

We are really optimistic about the incoming and we can't certainly deny that everyone is also hoping and relying on this coming halving will have a positive response to the market. We've been in the bullish before because of the hypes and this year, this might because of halving. Besides, the market trend shows differently compared last year and this might be signifying for another Bullrun. If this thing will happen, we will not just reach $15k but it can more than that.

But this all can be possible if there are no major hacking events happen around that could trigger some holders/investors to be panic and sell their Bitcoins.

Of course. Bitcoin always moves in waves and as long as the lows are higher everything is good and we are still recovering from the 2018-19 bear market.

The first rally was 3000 -13000 and we corrected to a higher low of 6500. As long as we're able to defend that level and start another move up it's a classic recovery pattern. Usually its not even that good for traditional assets. They sometimes go up and down in a chanel for many months.

If stocks continue to crash for another month or two Bitcoin will probably follow but in such case we can expect a rally after the halving.

Why not? do you doubt the recovery ability of bitcoin? Bitcoin has been like this all of this time and why only see the current movement of it if all of the time bitcoin is volatile.
Don't listen to the FUD that are spreading there because it will force you to sell and not believe to bitcoin's ability to have a quick reversal.

Well, even after seeing the price development that occurred at the beginning of this year, he still doubts that the market can recover? however halving happens every 4 years, so it makes people use it to get profit. if you're really not sure about this, you can watch it. I think the price of $ 15k is still quite ideal now.

So many predictions but $15 k is way to low for experts prediction on what the price would be the cut on the supply is very huge and that cut will have a big impact on the price of Bitcoin in the market, so many predicted that Bitcoin could go high as $100 k so why not go higher than $15 k.

atleast 15k usd is more believable and easily achievable than those who said 100k usd by this year  . take a look at the value now.  the value didnt even reach 12k succesfully but now it dropped again below 10k.

 where are those people who predicted 100k usd for btc ? id like to see thier faces and reactions now about the current trend.   just because people predicted 100k usd for btc does that mean that they are true and we should now follow them ?  i still like thier positive mindset but we should also know our limits for now.

Their is a possibility to see bitcoin will rise to $15k this year. Numerous speculations in bitcoin but still I am one of those being optimistic that it can be recovered. We already witness the price is volatile, however, in this industry invest on what you can afford.

Remember that you should never invest in this market with your beliefs. Because it will make you lose and lose in this market, you need to learn how to analyze and monitor the market to be as accurate as possible. $ 15,000 for bitcoin will definitely happen but we won't know when it will happen, maybe 2-3 years or more.

Ideal for this year, we're coming to the last month of the 1st quarter so basically we still have enough time for it to see recovery.
People who are doubting the recovery of bitcoin might be new to this and are not used to see the following corrections that we went through. And because of that, they're too scared and worried if it will recover soon.

I guess the ability and the reality doesn't have to be the same. Don't get me wrong I think bitcoin will be over 15k by the end of this year as well however I am nobody so what I think doesn't really matter since I am not an expert or veteran or famous, yet I know the capability of bitcoin to go up and with halving done in May there will be enough time to recover from that and go a lot higher by the end of the year almost 6 or 7 full months and that is seriously enough time for bitcoin to go up in price like crazy.

Now it can, but will it? We may not know, we are talking about how bitcoin CAN be 15k but we are forgetting bitcoin CAN be 5k as well, it has a capability of going to 15k as much as 5k too.

This year Bitcoin started with nice swings. A few thousand dollars are nothing for Bitcoin, the price can move in both directions for that amount in a few days. I believe that the Bitcoin price is capable of hitting $15k this year, before or after the halving would be a hard answer to give. I would like to see that price before the halving, that would be the great starting point for an eventual bull run after the halving.

The market is hard to predict, we don't know what will happen in the future. For example, a company that is doing well but has to close because of covid-19, so $15k is possible but $5k is also possible. Of course I also hope good prices by the end of the year.

I'm more in favor of the price of bitcoin to reach a price of $ 15k compared to lower down. I really believe that halving will really make the pump price. however, it is very difficult to think when halving the price of bitcoin is decreasing. I also believe that after May, the price of bitcoin is above $ 13k, and I also believe that at the end of this year the price of bitcoin is in the range of $ 15k or higher.

I believe that it could hit $15K this year I think the question that we should ask is if it would stay above it or drop down after it hit it.
The BTC could reach those price but staying there is the problem just like when it reach $20K,
The price just stay there for a short time then goes down steadily.

As time passed by, I'm not sure if we're going to hit that figure this year. What I have observed, the market is struggling to stay on a certain figure (5 digit to be specific) everytime it breaks the resistance level. All because of the quick sellers and short traders who sells immediately when opportunity arise.
Nevertheless, we should be seeing another Bitcoin ATH, but not sure when.

Personally, I also believe that we could might have seen a $15k worth of Bitcoin after halving however, still we cannot remove the fact that market is still unpredictable. What I am sure is that $15k is soon can be attain, no one know when we will saw it in this state, probably this 2020 or next couple of years.

Personally, I think that in 2020 Bitcon may really grow to $15k, but it will happen somewhere in the fall or somewhere at the end of the year, it's not going to happen now.

@thirdlight I feel that bitcoin prices may rally up to $12k very soon due to the upcoming halving event, and secondly due to the fact that Indians can now buy bitcoins and use it as a legal tender. Furthermore I also believe that bitcoin prices can cross $20k levels this year, as we’re seeing lots of positive news in it’s favour. Also it’s pertinent to note that public sentiment seems to be high in the crypto market after a long time, and this too could be another factor in the upcoming bull rally what do you’ll think of this factor?.

But let us don't forget it is still a prediction up to now. It can only be guide. It may happen, or not. The best thing to do is continue to save so that if ever it really hits the peak of  $15K, you will gain big profit.

The way thing is looking now, we might likely get back to 15k price action but I am not expecting all-time high this year eventhough most predictions are pointing out to this direction because of the halving. All-time high always come after the halving and that is why my focus is on the year 2021 for all-time high in the price of Bitcoin

if the price of bitcoin could reach $ 15k this year, I'm pretty sure the price could definitely be higher. however, I don't know whether it will be stable or not. so far, the price of bitcoin is trying to go back up to $ 10k. after that, I don't think it will be difficult to go up to the price of $ 15k, especially if it is supported by halving.

I also believe that it will reach $15 this year, it's still long way to go for 2020 and a lot of events will happen. Maybe it will break it who knows. A lot of us don't know that 2017 bull run will happen all in sudden. If bitcoin does not reach at this state maybe $13k would. For now it seems we are testing another accumulation zone and I'm curious what volume will Bitcoin have in the next days and after we can make another prediction to see if Bitcoin can touch 15k$ this year. But look at the bright side, Bitcoin can be 50k$ by 2022 or even more so why think to sell this year when you can hold a little longer.

Maybe because Bitcoin is obviously declining right? We're now at the $7,000 level and it would be a very panicking moment for the weak hands if Bitcoin will touch the $6,000 or worst $5,000 level again. Specially when we are talking about the block halving that is about to happen on May. Not gonna be surprised if the price keeps on declining, since the weak hands are starting to get worried by now. There will be another "big regret" post that's about to happen on 2021 for sure lol.  ;D

That should not worry us because the question here is if bitcoin will hit $15k in 2020, and we are still in the first quarter, sure more opportunity to come to achieve that price this year. Bitcoin does not follow a stable movement, it could dump now, even $3,000 but that does not mean it will stay there, if it can dump low, it could also pump really high even beyond our expectation, that's how unpredictable bitcoin is.

I think it was only in the first quarter so there is no need to worry about the current downturn so there must be a best session where prices will return to normal as long as we hold it strong.
The panic will make us lose because it is inconsistent in holding bitcoin for a long time, survive, maybe this is enough to buy at a low price.

I am very curious to see that the price will go up by the end of the year. I can see all possiblities and not just a chance for it to reach 15k, there are few reasons mainly due to it's volatility and there might be a demand before Halving as well so this will create some serious requirement to the investors and yes!!!!

There will be a lot of people who will loose money in this process. Everytime when there is a major pump of bitcoin people tend to go all in like crazy, last time also when the price went upto $20k a lot of people invested at the ATH and price took a reverse shift from that point. So people should always use their brains while investing their money, shouldn't follow the heard and start investing in anything that is hot right now.
So I think this time also the same will happen with bitcoin, there will be a huge sharp spike in bitcoin price where everyone will be buying coins so as to not get behind the next big wave, and then there won't be any new buyers left so the price will fall dramatically just like last time.

Last year wasn't really that far away, it is only 400 days ago or so when we were almost $14k, which means if we managed to do it once why not do it again? Moreover, back in last year we did it from $3k to $14k, that is a huge gain, this year we will only need to do $10k to $15k and that is a lot easier.

I personally think that the simplest way to make sure bitcoin goes up is to have buy orders ready in case price drops, if you do not allow bitcoin to drop, people who want it to drop will try their chances but will fail and when it doesn't go down people will take that as a signal and will start to buy since if something can't go down the only direction is up. I feel like $15k is quite easy to achieve, we need patience and hopefully these short future investors do not get in our way neither.

From current perspective it's seems very hard for Bitcoin price to reach $15k by the end of the year. Not impossibe of course but to my opinion not very likely.
We see how Bitcoin price struggles with 10000$ barrier and even if it crosses it, it can't stay there for a longer period or grow further.
There is still plenty of time until the end of the year but due to all circumstances it's hard to tell how Bitcoin price is going to behave.
