Title: [Help]Have a question about appropriate section.
Post by: Rohan Kotkar on January 08, 2020, 05:03:07 PM
Hello.
I recently launched a thread on behalf of xrp.party.
Initially i launched the thread in "Announcement(altcoins)" and "Gambling" sections but perhaps mod deleted and moved one of the thread in "Services Announcement(altcoin)" section which does not really have that good response.

Can i know why mods deleted and moved those thread?
Was'nt it in appropriate section?
Which section can i launch such thread?

Regards,
Rohan Kotkar

*Please move this thread in appropriate section if this does not belong here.

It got moved to "Service announcement (Altcoins)" because it's not a bitcoin gambling site. It's for XRP (which is an altcoin).

And since you made multiple announcements of the same service (spam), one of them got deleted.

Oh so that means multiple announcements are not allowed??

And which would be more appropriate section for that announcement? Because not all peoples really go through "Service announcement(Altcoins)"
It is actually a game platform so where would it actually belong??

Sorry, i am asking this as i do not want to post it again in wrong section .

Since it got manually moved to the Service announcement (Altcoins) section by a mod/admin, then obviously it belongs there; regardless if a lot of people go there or not.

If you want to increase exposure, maybe you could put a link in your sig.

Jr member rank does not allow to put link in signature as also putting the link in signature only would gain that exposure??

This is actually a sad news for me then.

Since you're going to need a member rank to be able to add links to your signature, you might want to buy your way into being able to instead. You can pay a certain fee to get the Copper member rank, which is pretty much just a bought version of the member rank. You can then add links to your signature. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104

I already read about copper membership but instead of "buying" member rank, i would love to rank up on my own efforts. That's why i didn't bought that membership yet. I would rank up on my own. But yet, thanks for your suggestion.

It doesn't "buy" you member rank... you will stay at your current rank (ie. Jr. Member). You just get some of the privileges of the "member" rank in terms of being able to include links in your signature.
Allows you to post images even if you are a newbie, reduces the time-between-actions limit, and provides some of the same benefits as being of natural Member rank.

So, you'll still get to enjoy "ranking up" on your own efforts. :P

Well, i'm 15 posts away from being a member rank so why buy copper membership?? Just a fact of earning 6 merits. I believe in myself and i really hope if i actively contribute over here, earning those 6 merits won't get that challenging. I'll wait until i rank up to add a link in my signature. Until then let me continue posting ;D

You could look at it as a way of contributing to the forum as you are using it to advertise for a company. It also increases your ability to provide that service to other businesses, by allowing you the freedom of member rank. Don't get me wrong I'm glad to see you willing to take on the challenge of ranking up and wish you the best in doing so, the above is just some food for thought.
