news about important chat about bitcoin is often broadcast on national tv in my country, I often see them discussing other crypto currencies too, unfortunately I cannot provide much evidence but I see it all the time, they often discuss crypto currencies so that it will help bitcoin and cryptocurrency can be known by many people, free advertising that actually makes people who watch curious and helpless, what is bitcoin?

It's not like Americans  have never heard of bitcoin though, I'm pretty sure majority have already heart of it and that it's already a household name. What we really need is good public information as so they actually understand what bitcoin is for, and not just some moneymaking scheme like most people think.

With that said, any publicity is good publicity.

Every exposure will make a significant impact to the bitcoin therefore the more the exposure the more the bitcoin will become popular and the demand will continue to surge. Any TV channel that is talking about crypto currencies or bitcoin will bring a good audience especially if it covered a huge variety of crowd like the national TV.

Curiosity will bring the new comers to the world of crypto so we need to welcome them with all of our efforts so they will continue to invest in crypto and not just visit then leave afterwards. We are unstoppable especially if we unite even if there are few that are against us.

Well I haven’t seen or heard anything like that but if there is indeed one then I think it’ll be a good way to spread bitcoin to other people who still haven’t known bitcoin. These discussions will help people to understand in bitcoin and in return it will interest them more knowing that it is something being discussed. They will also think that bitcoin is not a scam as most people think. Having programs discuss bitcoin in televisions will increase bitcoin popularity.

Trump has tweeted something regarding Bitcoin already and that is free advertising already even though it's impact is negative, at least some of his followers have an idea of what Bitcoin is. Anyway, broadcasting it on a national TV is considered good since many are watching every day. More and more people will be curious about it and try to do some research on it.

This is a good advertisement of Bitcoin but I hope that it will be a successful one.

To be honest Bitcoin had a lot of exposure through numerous media outlets not only now, but through time. I guess it is just a matter of time.

It is more effective if the advertisement about BTC comes from Youtube. Nowadays, the use of television is for watching news only and only our parents or grandparents are still using it. Many teenager or adults focused their attention on social medias or multimedia platforms. So I see the Youtube is more popular now than the television. It is useful if they try to implement advertisements in social medias like, facebook, instagram, and etc. Because doing that, many citizen will have an idea about bitcoin, no matter what age they are.

Bitcoin has become a hot topic for news and media. They attract a large number of views whether the news is good or bad. Even the mainstream media and news outlets are covered with crypto related news and crypto are making into financial discussions and news into commerce related channels. We don't have to wait long for a dedicated show on a renowned Televisoin channel.

It will make them realize that a digital currency existed and it's not a fraud but an opportunity to change your life into something better, some of them think that way because they don't have any idea how it works and how it affects the life of some of us. They don't have enough understanding regarding it that's why a simple news can help them be aware and analyze that their judgments are were wrong because we can't change their way of thinking that an advertisement on a television is a basis to consider that something is true. We can clearly see that despite of some people doubting and underestimating bitcoins capabilities, it was still able to overcome those by showing them that the adoption is improving and their thoughts doesn't matter because bitcoin is strong enough to handle it.

Trump with his tweets was the best advertising for crypto and bitcoin for the year 2019. Facebook and it's pet currency Libra were a hit for news this year.
Elon Musk was another big advertiser for crypto as he's one of the most famous geeky guy in the world right now. Craig Wright and McAfee were too hit this year but they have little recognition outside crypto sphere.

I hope they continue speaking out against Bitcoin. It only makes them look bad because despite these powerful bimbos not liking Bitcoin, we are still heading up and become stronger fundamentally speaking. It's free marketing. In fact, it's somewhat of the best possible marketing. The same applies to Peter Schiff who has become a counter trading indicator.

People shouldn't feel so attacked each time someone is saying something about Bitcoin. All you do is show how triggered you are. I recall Warren Buffett even pointing that out. It feels good seeing that Bitcoin is still facing heavy resistance from all sides, that's how you know you are still an early bird. If everyone welcomed Bitcoin with open arms it usually means they're in.

I agree is when the famous people publicly criticizing bitcoin, bitcoin will be more concerned, which is the good side. But I think that also makes bitcoin ugly in the eyes of so many people. would be a lot better if they talked well about bitcoin

If this is true, I believe that bitcoin and cryptocurrency will be very popular in your country. Because it is advertised for free on national television and will help many people know and invest in it. In my country, there are no laws for this market, but there is not too much news about bitcoin. It seems that they are not interested in this market and do not want to be popular with the people

I also see bitcoin being mention in different movies and i think it can also give at least small impact.

Bitcoin actually has appeared in many movies since a long time ago, I also saw a video from a famous YouTuber and discussed bitcoin in a good way. I think it's normal when you engage with crypto and want to tell everybody about how's your journey in the crypto industry, some celebrities also tried to expose crypto in their social media. Whether it's bad or good they literally advertising bitcoin.

What a lot of people in the crypto space need to understand is that, bitcoin do not really need the approval of the big names in the world before it can successful or attain mass adoption. It takes time for good things to be fully understood by shallow minded people and people who refuse to have open mind to new ways of doing things and technology. Its good that people are putting things in place for bitcoin to be made public and easy for people to understand.  We just pray and hope it lasts long.

Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are quite famous in most movies I've seen before, it is indeed gaining a lot of exposure as it is popular among to the TV stars. I think people in that show are not actually talking about how good bitcoin is but instead how risky it is to them. I think they have to clearly states what is bitcoin actually.

I still don't understand why so many famous people in the world don't like bitcoin and this market. They constantly FUD this market and make many of their followers scared and dare not invest in the market. It is possible that their actions were aimed at causing the market to collapse and they could buy at a better price than they are now because they missed the opportunity to become rich a few years ago.

It is the exact opposite here in our country. Instead of reporting good stuffs to make something new in people's life, medias here like to report bad news mostly every single day, and about the cryptocurrency, all they wanted to talk about is the bad things you could get when you engage into it, saying that it was just a scam because a certain person scam so many people by using Bitcoin's name, therefore they concluded that it was a scam.

I've seen positive video about it on youtube but I didn't see it on the news, so biased.

Demand will surely go upwards but not all the time, as what we can see to other countries that banned it. I haven't heard any crypto-related yet in my local TV shows but I quite remember the news then when Bitcoin was attempted to be explained in Ellen D. Show.  ;D
I must say that it depends on the host if we can't expect increase of demands, because some might badmouth it in front of the audience.

I don't think it's advertising. Bad publicity is worse than no publicity, as for me. I don't see how this could be a good sign, honestly. Let's start with the people who watch this show. It's hard to believe it for me, but the demographic is seemingly it's #1 among people aged 18-49. It does not mean that they are the ones who watch it most, though... Anyway, people who watch whatever TV gives them rather than use the Internet to choose whatever they won't don't strike me as too critical. It seems logical that if they're fine with watching what is broadcasted, why would they question what they're told there? My point is that people who haven't heard of Bitcoin were, say, neutral to it. And now many of them will only know is as something related to some shady black market illegal things.

Yes. They think they are giving it a bad name by bad-mouthing crypto but really they just bringing light to it and making people very curious. I mean if a president is against it then it must be awesome.
It just brings much-needed awareness. This sort of thing use to upset me but now honestly guys it really is just helping us promote crypto. It doesn't mean people are believing what any od those fools say they are just listening and allowing their curiosity to lead them the rest of the way.

I'd say its good, not exactly advertising, but exposure. I has to enter the language of all nations, in all languages, bitcoin is called bitcoin. That is even better than the word coin or money, which changes all over the world, not to mention the fiat names...

Bitcoin has become a hotly debated issue for news and media. They pull during an enormous number of perspectives whether the news is positive or negative. Indeed, even the prevailing press and news outlets are secured with crypto related news and crypto are making into budgetary talks and news into trade related channels. we do not got to stand by long for a faithful show on an eminent Televisoin station.

but you never underestimate how much influence they could give to the people and their negative opinion could lead people who don't have a clue into believeing them. Bitcoin actually don't need publication or advertising anymore because it's already known by most of people.

Yes nowadays bitcoin getting on mainstream with positive or negative talks about bitcoins and people's are getting curiosity about bitcoin and they will know about bitcoin. when it comes on mainstream so it is much needed they bitcoin will become to know everyone.

Basically, so far the news about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has risen to the real world since 2017 when the price of bitcoin surged. You can find a variety of media around the world (not only the US) that preach and preach issues about Bitcoin, both in terms of good and bad.

But maybe this time the news is hotter because there is a direct link with the US superpower and its president's statement.

Simply, many more the world talk about Bitcoin, this crypto will be more and more popular. And do you know what it means? It really means good for the BTC and other crypto development.

Actually, more people knows what is bitcoin, and mostly they recognize it as criminal money and a magic internet money, without having a research they just heard it somewhere in the news, tv or some video ads.
And never tried to have one coz its too expensive or they don't know what to do with it or no close friend should be asked on how to do with bitcoin, since most of they heard is its a scam, ponzi or something similar.

Advertisement is what we need in order to increase the awareness. Many people will not become familiar if we will not promote or advertise bitcoin. Actually, there are now many people in my community that became interested and became aware to bitcoin after one of the influential person in my community talked about bitcoin. They are now willing to adopt bitcoin because of the information that they got. Raising awareness is important in order for us to have mass adoption.

In the past many years, Bitcoin has had been a point of discussion with many mainstream media outlets and though sometimes it is presented in a not so positive way we are still taking them because publicity is publicity no matter what especially since it can be free. Does the mainstream media mentions on Bitcoin means that we are already going mainstream? Well, that depends on how we are going to define mainstream, then. I am more looking into at least 20% of the population involved with Bitcoin in one way or another before we can say it has already been a mainstream thing. Let's hope and worked for that in any way we can.

At least bitcoin again are slowly creeping in the US media, and the more they talk about it the better for us in the long run, just saying. This is like 2017 again,  :).

They're not 'advertising' it, not in the way I would describe it. Bitcoin has been on TV shows occassionally, often with discussions regarding its legitimacy, being it the biggest bubble, being used in scams, and in illegal activities, which to me, makes its effects more on the negative side rather than an advantage it gets on curiosity. Such publicity only steers away people from even knowing it.

There are so many instances where Bitcoin is discussed and it caused a lot of people to get curious to it and take a look online or ask some friends about it. This is going to incite discussions and awareness about it. So in a way this is like a free advertisement or promotion. At least people are given a chance to hear about it, raise some questions, or perhaps clarify some doubts about it.

Here in my country the topics about cryptocurrency such as bitcoin was aired on television for how many times but still cryptocurrencies or even bitcoin is not yet in demand here. And I think it needs a lot of time for the people to know more about cryptocurrencies and all of its benefits. We totally need a mass promotion in order for more people who reaches the information about crypto.

I think one of the most effective advertising for Bitcoin was when it was used in "The Good Wife" and "Mr Robot" TV shows.

The Good Wife was actually pretty big because almost the entire episode was based on it, and this episode aired back in 2012 and this was actually way before I've even heard of Bitcoin. It brought many people who got curious about what Bitcoin is and Bitcoin might not be where it is today if it wasn't for that episode.

Another is when it was mentioned in Mr Robot TV show, this was early in 2016 before the crazy 2017 fomo rally. But many of my friends saw the show and ended up calling me and wanted more info about Bitcoin.

Now its mentioned almost every month or so somewhere, whether good or bad. However those 2 TV shows really were positive for bitcoin.

Only free advertising on TV makes at least everyone know that bitcoin exists.
Besides, I didn't really hope that media like TV would review the positive things about bitcoin, as they will only give controversy about bitcoin.
Yes better than nothing, the introduction of bitcoin will require a long process for the layman.

imagine National TV is now in front to talk about Bitcoin?first we have Movies that gives small chance to bitcoin popularity,then we have celebrity endorsers and now here TV ?and not just that it is National?man this will give Hope for the supporters of crypto specially Bitcoin.

That might be true, but I can almost guarantee you that even though the majority of people might have heard of it, most aren't aware of what it really is.  I've met people in real life who basically know what bitcoin is, but they didn't know what something as basic as a wallet is or of the decentralized nature of bitcoin--which IMO is why it's so unique and important in the first place.  Such people also tend to connect bitcoin with drugs, money laundering, and terrorism too, based on media coverage of whatever busts made the news.  The more positive coverage that makes the press, the better. 

I generally like it when bitcoin gets coverage because it's in a bull market, as in 2013 and 2017 and not because it can be used for criminal activities.  That's a bit unfair IMO, since fiat gets used way more for the same stuff and yet a lot of people don't think too hard about what they're hearing on the news.  Not all media reporting on bitcoin is good, and I wouldn't consider every mention of it to be "free advertising" by any means.

This is the kind of opportunity that we haven't have in our country. Cryptocurrency news aren't discussed very well in the local news, and government is quite neutral about it. With the less news appearance of bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it isn't attracting most of the locals, though, I believe social media and internet news is the factor why we still have a growing number of cryptocurrency enthusiast.

If ever country will have a news portal of cryptocurrency, it would be better if they don't just focus on bitcoin, but also to tackle crypto holistically.

talk about the development of crypto and bitcoin is very rare in my country, regulations do not yet exist and it makes only a few television stations in my country not much raised the topic of this conversation. maybe pay TV will often be found, maybe because I don't spend so much time with television I don't know much about it

Talking about criminal activities, I just remembered back then when I first encountered the term Bitcoin. I was browsing facebook, scrolling down my feed and then have read about Deep Web stuff having this kind of unlawful activities, and would be paid using only Bitcoin as their medium.

As for being non-crypto enthusiast back then, I just got a bad impression to bitcoin, I was afraid to take an initiation when a friend of mine introduced to crypto space 'cause of having bad impression to Bitcoin itself. So it just proves that when bitcoin be advertised in not a good way will leave bad impression to audiences that will lead to an avoidance.

It does not happen overnight. But eventually, if Bitcoin is being openly discussed in many media platforms, broadcast media, print media, even social media, and others, people will be informed about it and it will somehow increase their curiosity and even knowledge. This will lead them to weigh things on their own and decide whether to use Bitcoin it good or not. This will also break the myth that Bitcoin is just for computer nerds and illegal transactions online.

Yes you are right. In order to destroy the negative perspective of others against the cryptocurrency I think it needs more people who will discuss cryptocurrencies into the public and take note that not just an ordinary people but an artist or any famous personality to persuade the people that cryptocurrencies are not only for illegal transactions but it has good effects and benefits for us coz admit it or not most of us are follows what we see in the television or social media most especially when it is in demand.

I think this is normal, not advertising because this is a news channel and they often have to post hot things in any field. In my country there are many media that talk about bitcoin every day but it doesn't penetrate people, because most people in my country think bitcoin is a scam. As for me, it's not uncommon for me to post this news, I only really like it when celebrities speak well about bitcoin, when it is influential.

Yes, we cannot conquer the world easily and quickly. But we should not stop exerting effort and talking about it, promoting it, using it, and buying it. We have in front of us a system that is deeply rooted in our society and a real Goliath. But it does not mean we will not try making things better just because the status quo is strong. If bitcoin is a scam in your country, then how come media talk about bitcoin everyday? We all know that mass media is the most powerful influential thing aside from internet, and once it states bitcoin, I am pretty sure it will affect the mindset of the people watching. Though, in our country, even without mass media broadcasting about bitcoin, people already have knowledge about it because of the internet. Which I consider more to provide free advertising rather than mass media.

People that tie up bitcoin with drugs and terrorism are bornally foolish people who arent doing that well on life and have never invested before. These are the people who prefer to work a 9-5 job and passive income is like a myth to them. They show their arrogance by showing how little they know about drugs and the black market. I've never in my life heard of a drug dealer taking bitcoin. Those online vendors are specialists and a very very very tiny amount of drug users order from them. The fiat is dirty and covered in drug residue apparently so.... I still think negative coverage is good coverage because people who believe in bs and connect educate themselves at not needed in the crypto world so if thy think negatively about crypto no one actually cares.

Bitcoin is no more an ignored thing; everybody is discussing this innovation of 21st century. TV channels need rating and more views, there is no better way to discuss bitcoin in your show to get more viewership and high ratings. In my country bitcoin is see on every channel almost once a week and that’s a positive sign to educate local population regarding bitcoin.

Good for you, on mine bitcoin is being slept on by everybody even the local media. Though big names and investors I suppose caught wind of bitcoin and are probably investing on it as we speak. Regardless, this still shows how bitcoin became rampant in just a matter of time, you can say this is good advertisement, but we people who have stuck with bitcoin for a long time know better that this could cause another dump. As people who are interested with bitcoin because they thought it's another get rich scheme don't see any big gains on their money.

Slowly the adoption is happening, bitcoin are even mentioned in movies many times, I remember it was mentioned in ant man, and just recently I saw a movie entitled JEXI,, it was also mentioned there, they are mining bitcoin.

It's true that it's good for Bitcoin to be advertised in national TV but don't think they will do it. Government can still meddle and interfere with what to advertise in national TV. Governments can also ban such commercial and by just looking at the possibility, they might not allow to advertise it on national TV. The channel can also be affected if the public got scammed in crypto. I just like they won't tolerate that kind of advertisement, they might approve crypto in their country but not for tv ads.

I heard it on tv a year ago and mostly I seen it online. I think its really starting to reach the individuals but mostly through hear-says. There are financial institutions talk about it as well and some tv programs reported it on financial magazines and market or trading discussions. These free advertisements will surely promote btc and crypto currency as a whole.

There is some TV commercial that is advertising bitcoin but I don't remember what commercial it is but one I am pretty sure it is related to the cryptocurrency. It is getting good that there are some tv advertisement is happening in some country because of this advertisement, the people are getting more curious on what cryptocurrency really is and by their curiosity they will be able to try it and explore the cryptocurrency as their new hobby for them to earn more. This probably the good effect of advertising cryptocurrency to the television commercials.
Banning crypto related commercials can really do by the government if the contains is just to harm people, that would be the one that the government will avoid.

According to me this is a stage at least people should get to hear bitcoins or cryptocurrencies. It’s possible when we spread it using a social media so that at least with no second thought in their mind they'll search what exactly cryptocurrencies are. Not at the very first initial stage they'll invest but at least try to get how to start and what exactly it consists of. They'll generate an interest once they read it and once they are familiar with it they might start developing their career as a crypto enthusiast and it would also land them up in profits if they have the ability to make immense efforts and understand about cryptocurrencies more deeply.

This would grow the cryptocurrency markets to next level and we could also see huge rise in the markets if the demand rises as per we saw in the bull markets which arrived in the mid 2017.

There should be shows and conferences discussing about bitcoins. This will attract more people towards cryptocurrencies and perhaps might even influence those peoples to start their career into the era of cryptocurrencies. People will get interest to know more about bitcoins out of which they'll even start investing which will lead bitcoins to the next upper level. There should be sessions and advertisements free of cost for the ones especially who are not in cryptos yet.

Curiosity will be generated amongst people which will be resulting people into bitcoins. This would also help the peoples who newly join into the cryptocurrencies to start earning a passive source of income. Most of the peoples should know about cryptocurrencies so that we can create an immense demand and it would indirectly hike the price for cryptos.
