As the subject goes, can we expect the newly developed Altcoin that can go beyond Bitcoin?

Better in terms of what? If in terms of transaction speed, yes, and we already have faster altcoins. If in terms of fees, yes, and we already have altcoins offering much lower fees. If in terms of anonymity, yes, and we have much more private altcoins. So in terms of scalability, privacy, and other features we have much better altcoins. But the face of crypto is Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the god of crypto. Bitcoin is trusted, used, accepted, owned, coveted, etc more than all the altcoins combined. 

What more can we ask for? This is ultimately complete and a strong currency for now, and even fiat cash couldn't overtake what legacy did bitcoin brought to us. Making bitcoin as God of crypto, can't be aligned to that but maybe I believed it was a father of crypto. If somebody can generate something that's more advantage beyond bitcoin's feature, I bet it's too difficult for him unless he is investing the entire saving he had and he should be one of the whales to establish an own cryptocurrency business.

I think he reffer for price, and he think maybe a new altcoins will get so high price as bitcoin hit and buy or mine it from start, but is hard to know which altcoin will grow so much, even for bitcoin it take years to be where is.

If your question elated to the price of altcoin that can go even higher than bitcoin and the answer will be there is no altcoin can surpass bitcoin but when your question is about the tech and there is a lot of altcoins that have already developed the tech that can surpass bitcoin especially in the scalability. You should give more explanation about your question whether it's about the price of the tech of the coin itself.

Like what people said, there are a lot of possibilities in cryptocurrency. If in future an altcoin can bring everything that people want in bitcoin and not happen yet why not we support it, cryptocurrency itself is not all about bitcoin, everything that can be profitable for us must get support from us.

Can't put it any better than this. There are other cryptocurrencies, which are superior to Bitcoin as far as the technology is considered. But the fact is that none of them have been able to replace Bitcoin so far. In terms of popularity and adoption, Bitcoin remains supreme and unchallenged. Bitcoin is not ultimately complete as what you've said. It is not the strongest currency because it is in fact more used not as a currency but as an asset or a store of value. Bitcoin needs to develop further for it to become a strong currency. But fundamentally, Bitcoin is already great and we are going to become a better currency someday.

These new altcoins are literally trying to do just this. Offering so much features, proposing to solve the problem that bitcoin currently has and even trying to come up with the upgrade of blockchain which in my opinion is full of gimmicks. Despite all of that, they still can't compete with bitcoin which has less feature and less gimmicks simply because bitcoin just works and reliable. If you are talking about alt that gonna surpass bitcoin in term of market capitalization or market dominance, I can't see any altcoin do that in the near future.

finding a new altcoin that is better than the current altcoin might be possible. But when compared to bitcoin, I think that's a bit difficult. I don't think we need altcoin that can surpass bitcoin, what we need now is an altcoin which can spread crypto adoption well and quickly. Of course, with products that are directly useful in a field. For example, altcoin can be used for agriculture, buying seeds to harvest or other services related to this.

If you thought to surpassing bitcoin price then i have to says it's quite impossible because so far bitcoin can be considered as one of the most expensive cryptocurrency but if in the terms of the price of movements then maybe there will be new altcoins will surpassing bitcoin from speed of increasing price and yes it is profitable if you invest at these kind of altcoins but i think to seeking new altcoin can increase the price rapidly for short term is quite difficult and maybe in this year in the middle of thousands of altcoins only one or several altcoins can able to do that

I think this is just a trust factor, where the world community or Crypto lovers trust Bitcoin more than Altcoin, even though Altcoin is present with various advanced features. Bitcoin remains the mother of all Crypto, but we are also thankful for the presence various kinds of Altcoin which can be an alternative for us in making transactions.

I think " new " altcoin have small chance to pass bitcoin, in popularity and function bitcoin still the king. Develop old coin with various function is more better than take new idea because new still don't have powerful foundation to built brand/ trade mark. Old altcoin already have it and only need to become innovative and creative, find new idea and adopt it in their system. Altcoin still profitable but always under bitcoin reputation.

I don't think that we can expect the new altcoin that can be better than bitcoin because bitcoin is the leader in the cryptocurrency, and if that altcoin launched and it is better than bitcoin, bitcoin will not stay for a long time. That altcoin will take over the bitcoin position at the market, and the position will be changed. But I don't think that will happen, at least not occur in a short time because to invent the better altcoin, that coin needs to compete with the other existing altcoin.

In terms of technology yes, there are lots of altcoin that already have an advantage towards Bitcoin.  The only challenge is whether they can surpass the Bitcoin community and adoption which I think is very hard.  Bitcoin is already established and well known around the world.

In my opinion, there are big possibility that in few years there are one possible altcoin that will surpass bitcoin in many uses and for sure that more convenient with low fee and higher price. for now, there are a lot of altcoin that maybe possible but the devs are not sure on what they doing and not aiming for future. this is big responsibility so it takes more years that there are one altcoin that surpass bitcoin.

I believe that their may be already coins in existence that could surpass Bitcoin but unfortunately I think that their life expectancy roughly depends on the success of Bitcoin's success in order to eventually be able to thrive on it's own without worrying how Bitcoin is doing in the market first.  As of right now there isn't any altcoin that can hold it's own within the market independent of Bitcoins volatility besides stable-coins (which of course work differently).

You could invent "something" that could be better than bitcoin, however I doubt that will be altcoin. If you are still using the same technology as everyone else, why would people pick you over all other coins? However, if you invent a whole new technology and provide that to people, you can pass bitcoin. That is literally what bitcoin did, there was previous technological digital money in the world, bitcoin is not the first in history, however bitcoin was a much better option and people got into it, taking it to over 300 billion dollars one time.

If you can do what bitcoin did and improve on it like bitcoin, you can get people who prefer you over bitcoin itself because bitcoin will be old technology. However that won't happen with just one altcoin using same tech.

There are different factors when we say something is better. There are altcoins that are better when it comes to technicalities. And obviously more altcoin will emerge trying to be better than Bitcoin and providing what is lacking in Bitcoin. I think that's the reason why there's altcoin. They're trying to give more of what Bitcoin can give. But Bitcoin will remain as it is. It will still dominate the crypto market and new altcoins can not easily replace Bitcoin's place in the market.

As of now, more than 10,000 different altcoins exist. And none of them have managed to give tough challenge to Bitcoin, which happens to be the original cryptocurrency. And the OP is talking about a scenario in which some new coin is going to do what all these thousands of alts failed to do. Theoretically, it may be possible. But I don't think that it will happen anytime soon.

i don't want to use the term brainwashed. but maybe, not open minded. the popularity of bitcoin usage can't really be overcome by most projects that are offering more benefits than bitcoin. truly, there are several projects that were created to be much superior than bitcoin, however, they can't compete with bitcoin because as you said, they are not open minded people. we want to stick with btc as much as we are stuck in using USD as the global currency. if you know someone who is not into crypto, if you ask if he has any idea with crypto, and the first thing that will come up to his mind, is bitcoin. all the other alts are just secondary or most of them don't know their existence.

It should be specific in answering this question. In what terms that alt should be better than bitcoin? Is it on its transaction speed? If it is, then we already have alts for that. XRP, for a minute you can already receive it from one wallet to another. Or is it in terms of lowering the transaction fee? We also have that now. Many developers are presenting new edits in the code to show that they have something better in their system than bitcoin but it take a high struggle for a project to reach to the level of bitcoin which I think is impossible that any other coin will attain. Many people have spend time in searching for bitcoin and many people worked hard to convince others to adopt bitcoin which I have not saw in any other community of any coin.

I think if you are going to create an altcoin, it maybe can compete with bitcoin in terms of the transaction speed. But if you are going to compete against bitcoin price? That is kinda impossible. Bitcoin will remain memorable because it is the mother of all cryptos and its popularity will never fade. When you think of Crypto then you will remember Bitcoin.

But the problem is that they are not the first and prime mover of crypto, that's why they are called alternative coins. So I have doubts that we can see coins that are going to topple bitcoin on top, specially regarding the price.

Bitcoins dominance is very high and it's development are more stronger and secure that's the reason it is considered as the "king". Yes in crypto anything can happen but it might take ages for a altcoin to beat BTC, because BTC was the first decentralised digital money and it's popularity is very high among the altcoins. BTC is still developing and coming up with new innovative ideas to grow more and more hence I will say no alts can beat BTC.

Better than bitcoin in what way exactly?  I mean, in terms of transaction speeds we have a lot of other altcoins that is so much faster than bitcoin is. And also there are a lot of altcoins with a lower fees. But if one want to make altcoin that could possibly overtake bitcoin, well, I don't think that's possible. Not now at least. Even major alts cannot beat bitcoin in so many ways.

If w could think of the fact that market is a big circle of competition, we could analyze that there is already various altcoins created that mostly aims to surpass bitcoin but they end up falling to these circle of big competition. As a result, top altcoins such as XRP and ETH remains at the 2nd and 3rd just because they have the best capability to offer in the market. Too bad that Ethereum doesn't have a fix volume that makes it incapable of makings market price higher than bitcoin. Because mainly in economics, if the supply is infinite, we couldn't drive further the market price of Ethereum.

Whether later there is altcoin that can surpass bitcoin or not, we don't know what will happen later but for me personally bitcoin will remain in the top position for a long time and maybe even bitcoin will continue to be at the top. But if something happens or a big factor has an effect on cryptocurrency and there is an altcoin that can stay afloat, it may be able to surpass bitcoin. But I don't really think about it, for me right now the most important thing is how I can continue to survive in and produce in cryptocurrency.

On what grounds are you making the newly coin better than bitcoin. i think there are cryptocurrencies that have been developed already in this space whose features are better than bitcoin in terms of being used as a mode of payment. Take or instance, Ethereum, Tron, Litecoin etc. but if you are looking or a coin that serves as a store of value then i think Bitcoin has no competitor.

No one will be able to pass through the capacity of Bitcoin as an altcoin. To date there is indeed ever say a price that exceeds BTC against USDT. But that's not the size of a coin in order to beat Bitcoins from all sides. Judging from all sides and strength, Bitcoin has no comparison to date. Security, speed, price calculations until confidentiality and privacy are all already in the technology of Bitcoin.
Maybe later it is also if there is a digital asset that can rival the BTC I think will have difficulty because the age and experience of this BTC is already very complete.

I think I would say open minded is a really tough thing to do in this space. Brainwashed is probably too harsh,,, but a lot of crypto people are a bit closed minded to say the truth or to see things correctly. Superior in technology does not mean much if it is not superior in security or superior in development like Bitcoin is.

All alts are in theory better than Bitcoin but when you see in reality how they all get hacked or all get controlled by founders, then the truth is known.

It's been a long journey for bitcoin from the beginning and it's been able to overcome so many hardship, dirty predictions, bad market days, etc it's on of the reasons bitcoin is the most trusted in crypto world till date, if any altcoin is going to be that capable well it's all good but won't be able to beat bitcoin

There are more altcoins in the market till date, but none have given hard competence to bitcoin. Successfully bitcoin have crossed its ten years, if some altcoins were to grow better than bitcoin now it could've happened. As things were getting advanced in the future there might be chances for better altcoins than bitcoin. Right now the chance for such an altcoin is really low.

in the system and the price of bitcoin is indeed superior to other coins. so if a developer says that their coins are more efficient in transactions then there will be deficiencies elsewhere, whether it's in the level of decentralization or security. but so far bitcoin is still superior in price and security level.

In terms of platform features? Yes, there are many cryptocurrencies better than the features of bitcoin. Speed, security, other features, there are simply many created to surpass bitcoin's features and functions. But in terms of price? It would be very hard to beat the king of crypto. Bitcoin simply dominates the market in terms of market shares. There are too many supporters of its platform that neglect its outdated features in exchange to its price and dominance.

but several factors make altcoin also a good choice. It all depends on the function and usefulness of the coin. such as coins that have smaller transaction fees or withdrawal fees will be a more widely used option by traders than withdrawals using bitcoin that have greater fees.

Many have tried actually to surpass the features of bitcoin but none of it become successful. Until today I haven't seen altcoin better than bitcoin. In terms of features more users are into use of bitcoin. Indeed many altcoin in the market but in terms of benefits btc is still best.

It's possible but it is gonna be hard.
In terms of adoption, Bitcoin already has the most of adoption worldwide already.
Some altcoins would seem like that it is gonna be candidate for replacement of Bitcoin, but in reality both are aiming differently.
I remembered back in the days when people tend to ask often if ETH would replace BTC soon.  :D

Some altcoins boast of better features of course, but when it comes to acceptability, Bitcoin remains the most acceptable and nothing changes that. Also, Bitcoin is the most trust worthy for long term. Most altcoins which promise great features still fail in the long run, so it's pointless trying to figure out an altcoin that can go beyond Bitcoin per say. Also, don't be in a haste to forget that Bitcoin is the only truly decentralized cryptocurrency.

There are many coins in the market that are already better than BTC, BUT WHY BITCOIN? Of course, it is the origin, maybe some are faster, convenient, and cheaper fees but nothing can bet the original, simple as that.

New investors treat the investment as a dog race, they gamble over the fastest choice. As a responsible investor, making research and choosing the best altcoins will make the crypto ecosystem a better place without scammers. For the short term, a certain altcoin can beat the market performance of BTC but the survival games will show which coins will pass to the next round after the long-cold bear market.

Better in terms of speed and technology, YES, of course. It is possible and they are plenty of those out there. But bigger than BTC in terms of Market Capitalization is near to impossible. My opinion though. 


Displacing Bitcoin from Number 1 is only possible if Governments of top countries develop and use fiat based cryptocurrencies.

In my journey in the crypto community I have heard about a number of coins in which people are saying that some features of them are better than bitcoin but we can see that are not adopted and loved by people like bitcoin as we know the base of bitcoin is much stronger. It is because many people and many businesses are now involved in the usage of bitcoin and they all support it. It is the support of these people and companies which have made it the best coin of all. Till now if none of the coin came better than bitcoin then we can think that none of the coin can come better than bitcoin.

The answer is Yes, but the question now is which coin would give the kind of returns BTC had last Decade. I don't know why people keep search for the next BTC when the real one is at your disposal. It is not late to buy BTC if the price is going to $100k in the nearest future

^ Bitcoin is unique and there's nothing better than bitcoin. I have known a copy cut of bitcoin that now pumped so much because there are too many conspiracy theories that it is a hype project and there are several exchanges delisted this coin. The BSV and BCH, they all start the name of Bitcoin but they can't overpass bitcoin. There are a lot of inventions that similar to bitcoin technology but the fact they dont have real use of the ecosystem.

Yeah you can create another altcoin that is better than bitcoin. But better based on what factor? There are altcoins out there that has better confirmation time. Again, there are coins out there that have scalable block size causing faster confirmation time and speed.
There might one day be a such altcoin that might become better than bitcoin in such a way that it will be used for daily transaction as a regular currency. But this does not mean that it will replace bitcoin. People will still use bitcoin as a store of value.

For technological problems, it might be able to surpass, it has already happened, but until now there are no coins or tokens that can exceed the bitcoin market capacity as "trusted". Moreover, bitcoin is a pioneer, has more adoptions and has gone through many challenges over the past decade, not a short time to achieve that.

I really think that there will be a newly developed altcoin that can go beyond bitcoin, even it is the first cryptocurrency that was ever created that someone could create that is more better than bitcoin when it comes to fast transaction and security. Always expect the unexpected that bitcoin could be replaced by a altcoin that we will be more unique and valuable in the future.

What Bitcoin earn in 10 years that any coin can't easily earn in short time. If you think for popularity than it's not easily possible. By profits, every good fresh coin is better than Bitcoin. Altcoins pump is always good than Bitcoin or top coin.

The technology that all these altcoins have although being really fancy still untested and probably unreliable while bitcoin is already tested by so many people. the fact that we found the issue regarding blockchain scaling for the masses is due to bitcoin being used by so many people while these alts that carries so many technology will just have 10 000 users running the blockchain at best except those top coins.

It depends on the aspect of being better which you're looking at it from. If it is in terms of ROI yes many existing Altcoins are better than Bitcoin already but if it is in terms of acceptability and utility, no altcoin can surpass Bitcoin as it currently is. There are alternatives for a reason and an alternative cannot be better than an original.

I don't think there will be one, some of the altcoins that are ranking now is a clone of Bitcoin, the closest that a coin can get is Ethereum but the gap is too wide they are not even a threat to Bitcoin, all we have to do now is support Bitcoin and forget about new coins that shills are calling the next Bitcoin when it's really not. 

In my opinion, It's not possible to invent an altcoin that would be better than bitcoin in terms of value. Though, it's possible to invent an altcoin with a better technology which surpasses the bitcoin. There's always the possibility of doing things better and technology is always getting better.

But it is still possible, as we all know, cryptocurrency has a lot of room  for improvement. Anything can happen and can be invented in the future. But for now, we can see it as impossible due to our current situation in the market. If bitcoin will improve more, I am sure that altcoins will also do.

That's it. That is what exactly I meant. The value of Bitcoin does not solely depend on its technology anymore. When it started, Bitcoin was only offering its technology to gain attention leading to support and finally leading to trust. But then various crypto projects have already improved on what was started by Bitcoin. But they cannot discredit Bitcoin being the less improved version because all of them are just mere improvements on the original, the beginning of everything.

If you really mean to surpass Bitcoin as a whole then there is still a possibility to do it as we are living in an open source platform with a freedom to use whatever we like to create. As the technology will continue to modernize then I am sure time will come that it will happen.

But right now, Bitcoin is still the king and it will be difficult to replace it's current place as of now knowing that big whales are in favor of Bitcoin investment rather than in altcoins.

I think all is possible specially in what kind of technology thar we are have now. All we know that even the impossible thing can develop and built because of technology. But always remember that if altcoin will innovate, there is a big possibilities that bitcoin will do it first because  all we know that bitcoin can be classifies as a pioneer coin here in crypto so it is not hard to innovate.

In terms of transaction speed, there are so many altcoins already that has surpassed Bitcoin.
In terms of fees, there are many altcoins too that have lower fees compare to Bitcoin.
In terms of technology, probably there are some who has a better tech than Bitcoin.

There is only one thing that altcoins can't get easily but Bitcoin has it already. Trust. This is why Bitcoin is still on the top of the market. Many people trusted Bitcoin already that is why they are posting it and the fact that it is the first cryptocurrency to be created, it is being used by different exchanges, merchants etc.

In conclusion, any altcoin can surpass Bitcoin in different aspects but they can't beat the trust to Bitcoin.

hopefully, it can happen together between bitcoin and altcoin. I was afraid when bitcoin started the high pump and altcoin couldn't follow it. We've seen that happen last year. but it looks like this year the market looks better than last year.

I do agree that crypto industry would be good if there are no scammers but you have to accept the fact that every industry, there are a lot of greedy people who will take advantage to those new ones hence it is also better to have those cause it will give us broad knowledge and experience to be a better crypto holder.
