Ethereum is About to set new high in this year . Most of the new and previos Projects are on the ETH platform.

In 2017 ethereum made its ATH caused by the demand for the ico but this time ethereum has faced the different thing when the ico has already dead and ethereum must come with something new that can bring a huge demand again. I doubt if the new ATH can be reached this year and I feel if bitcoin can't even reached the new ATH this year too. We can see that if the bitcoin gets correction right now and the movement of ethereum pegged to the bitcoin. That's true if the majority of ico platforms pegged with ethereum but it doesn't mean if these platforms will bring a huge pressure to the price of ethereum.

It is likely to exceed this year's ath. But if we are talking about 2018 ath, I cannot say the correct answer. This is 9x of the current price, the second strongest coin to achieve this price needs major improvements. Do not trade with such dreams. Always prepare yourself for the worst, then you are psychologically ready for any situation.

Once the market continuously and constantly increasing, then for sure that we can see a new Eth rising again or a new set of ATH for it and it is really possible, because nowadays, investors prefer those who are in top coins and were tired seeking for a new project, so they prefer having those already on top altcoins.

good projects all create their own blockchain and do not use the ETH blockchain. The highest market value I can see Ethereum  reaching throughout this year 2020 will be within the range $200 and $300.  In as much that there are a lot of projects launching their network on the Ethereum blockchain, they usually do not have any significant impact on Ethereum. But all the same, the crypto market is full of surprises and anything can happen that might influence the market value of Ethereum...

i think not this year. because this year ethereum not show about good alerts to increase high price beside that bitcoin still predictions bull run coming in the next year. in my opinion new highest will reach in bull run happen and maybe bull run happen in next year. so wait for bull run if you want to see about highest of ethereum in the next year

I think ETH price will surpass 2019 and it will fluctuate between $ 200 ~ $ 300 in 2020.

Many users predicting btc will increase this year as also ethereum. We already waiting for Eth to boom its price this year but since value is unpredictable of course we hope to see it happen in the market. We don't know how much the ethereum price will increase, and it still a big mystery for us. But ethereum needs to break $200 first because that price seems too hard to reach, especially bitcoin price is not increase so high and still stay less than $10k. Once bitcoin price can jump to the higher price and break $10k, that will impact to ethereum price and also the other coins, and that can help the crypto market to recover the price. Many people have a big hope for ethereum to increase, and they still buy and hold ethereum until now because they want to repeat history when they can make a lot of money from ethereum.

I always prefer ETH in alts but the saddest part is the price is not improving from the past two years that's the thing which worries me more, it even surprised many of them by surpassing BTC before two years and most of the investors have poured their money only because they can earn huge return right now it is slowly improving and let's hope this year it will boom again.

That is not the reason that can help ETH increase this year. There are many active projects in the ETH chain over the past 2 years, but the price of ETH has not gone up because investors have no need to use ETH. If you want ETH to be able to create a high price in 2020, then you should expect the ICO to revive, which is the only way for ETH price to go up.

I think Etereum will remain the main platform for dApps. It is still the preferred choice for developers. It will surely remain in Number 2 spot on CMC for a very long time

If the market is going to grow continuously, the ethereum price will probably gonna go up also since the value of the ethereum is dependent on the price of the bitcoin. When the bitcoin goes up, the value of the ethereum will go up also. The prediction on the bitcoin price after the halving will be 100k USD. Any reason or explanation on how you can back up this bold statement of yours? New ATH means it could go more than $1500 this year? To make ICO alive again, I think it is not easy, we know that many people have lost their trust to invest in ICO projects because many projects have turned into scams and then new projects fail, which then makes many investors doubt and lose their trust. to invest in an ICO and maybe there must be a factor that can drive the ICO back to life.

if in 2020 I am not sure ETH will return to its highest price, because bullish is still at an early stage, if in 2021 maybe I can believe it. but for 2020 that is very unlikely to happen.

I highly doubt this is going to happen as all the successful projects who started with the Ethereum token moved to their own main chain and there are only a few shitty projects left, so the idea of the entire market changing is bullshit, the only change i see is the shady USDT move to ETH blockchain and i have no idea how long they will last with all the legal troubles they had in the past regarding audits.

In altcoins, eth is my favorite crypto always. Just finger crossed probably the price will be high if the market will hype. As we can see bitcoin is already increasing this year starting we hope may be eth will reach up to the mark.

I think ETH have great chance to make new ATH this year. ETH going to upgrade to new version and this give lots of benefit to those dAdpp, token using ETH chain. Beside that, bitcoin going to halving soon, this will make whole crypto market be in a new bull run, include ETH.

I think that's impossible to happen within this year, (base on my opinion) since there was no signs to bring that speculation into reality, Ethereum was stable and progressive in terms of its trading price across many cryptocurrency exchanges, its within the average price in last few months and it remain strong, others also said that Eth will be benefiting the upcoming Bitcoin halving and i really don't know if there is a connection with those upcoming events and Eth price. but still crypto currency has full of surprises who knows it will be turn into reality.

Too early to predict because Ethereum has been through a bearish year I think now it's time for Ethreum to progress further I feel it can reach a new high if we compare it with whole 2019 but not sure if it will reach ATH because a repeat of 2018 is not an easy task to achieve again.

That's a very big question for now and as we think people aren't having trust on new projects, then why we're going to push a lot of ICO to be back to life? We're already into more desperate situations, and not is the best time to move on and start a new chapter of cryptocurrency. More challenges made us stronger in time, and two years of having indefinite income was so devastating. Now is our best time to find another alternatives to earn better profit venturing physical business.

In 2017 Ethereum jumped to new recorded price due to ethereum investment in almost every ICo, but now Ethereum again needs something huge like ICO to fly again to new record value in price.

It depends on what way btc is heading. Although we are in 2020, wether you like it or not, alts will still follow the trend on btc. That clearly shows on why there's no alts that can surpass btc. If btc set a new ATH, then possibly same thing will happen with ETH and other alts. For now, it's too early to say that a new ATH will be set since halving haven't passed yet. You can only predetermined the way we are heading months after halving, most probably 2021 or last quarter of this year.

I think it will jump up into 0.1BTC again once the bull run start to happen in the market. Or it could be more I guess at 1k$ and if that happen more millionaires will rise up here in cryptocurrency and its credibility also will increase too and popularity. I'm pretty sure they will have a great year this year Bitcoin halving and their POS features are coming, it's been a long time that Ethereum has not been recovered their old-time price and this is the opportunity that we are waiting for, better buy some now or regret later.

this year the ETH is likely to be at the point of saturation, rising or not, not decreasing, the maximum will not be any major change in the ETH. The replacement of the new platform on ETH is also felt to have less impact on ETH prices. No one can tell if Ethereum would set a new ATH this year but history tells that Bitcoin bull run is triggering most of the altcoins to gradually increase. We just have to wait if the Bitcoin halving effect would start this year or next year because that is the sign of the market is ready to skyrocket to the moon.

Actually many altcoins were really recovering at these year, it may be the impact of halving and especially the plans ETH have been put too. Many still see and uses ETH platform for new projects and even the old once. Hopefully, ETH will recover fast this year.

Not really true considering that if all the influx of capitals were coming from all these altcoins which could automatically increase bitcoin dominance, so many altcoins will be doomed. Last year the bullrun for bitcoin affect greatly all the altcoins and makes them got dumped so hard. It seems likely, although I don't want to look into its upcoming 2.0 though but it might cause encouragement also to investors to buy now. You're right that ethereum needs new proposal to aim back the trust of the users in ICO, but this not affect much because everyone is still use ethereum because of its low fee's and everyone love it. for me as I use ethereum as converted in bitcoin, it gives me more convenient to use and feel more safer because I receive it in seconds. so ethereum still in the top line.

My Answer will be a yes! because not only 2020 will the season for altcoins but scores of people are attracting nowadays to the crypto-related platform aswell This means more projects will emerge in the erc20 platform more frequently for sure and with Eth 2.0 it's definitely gonna set a new ATH!

ethereum actually experienced a time when it was not dependent on bitcoin and could walk on its own, but it didn't last long and went down again and now it's finally the same as other altcoins, dependency on bitcoin is still high.

This can't be a fact that projects are being launched on Ethereum so that Ethereum price will go for a new high! Im not sure about that. Just try to analyze with this current level price of ethereum and how is it possible for ethereum to reach another ATH. As you can see that if the price of ethereum is not even the same with its level when the price of bitcoin worth 8k in 2018 and at that time and the price of ethereum was around 500.

I agree with you. This is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin as the price is enough low. Last week BTC price was 9k USD, anytime it can boost up to 10K USD. Ethereum is a good investment though but people are losing hopes on Ethereum as their growth is very low according to other good coin.

Hopefully Eth will be making a high growth this year since most of the ico projects today are mostly in eth flatforms. It may not reach its ATH again just like the previous year but for sure we will see good growth for ethereum before this year ends.

Still I remember the time when people were starting to compare with Bitcoin and Ethereum. This Ethereum has highest probability to touched top price. But problem is still has no accurate time to beacon chain where Ethereum blockchain will be build for POS.

If by high you refer to the price, then I suggest you look at the chart carefully and reconsider your position. It did appear as if for a while we were heading back to new highs, but it may have been a mirage or a gimmick to get people to invest in it. After a few weeks of a sudden uptrend, a retracement seems to have settled in and we may find ourselves back in the lows of 2019. Hopefully, it doesn't get as bad as in 2018.

what you are very sure of is that the analysis must also be appreciated, especially if you say that "continuing to buy and hold" is a sense of optimism that must also be appreciated. but what you say all of that is very much I agree because I also believe that there will be a change, this can be seen with the early year movement of bitcoin which is pretty good. this will make and encourage all altcoin to be passionate too, especially ethereum which will also affect the growth of new projects.

That was good to know because last year I didn't notice anything about ETH that has a project even if there are some but it is unlike from the previous year where almost all project must be used etherwallet before entering into market and that's why a lot of people thought that ethereum wouldn't dump.

It is also need to notice and realize that some projects do not go further beyond or survive the market after some years and it is sad to see that some IEO projects are just repeating the mistakes of many ICOs. It is also important to study well the project and take note of the realistic goals that it wanted to reach. Ethereum is very good currency, but i think Ethereum can't go more than $400 in this year. Ethereum rises very slowly, and I heard a news Ethereum co-founder sell a lot of Ethereum and dumped it(2019). For this reason, they lost many investors. But I believe that Ethereum will make a history in future.        

It depends on just so many factors ranging from adoption to investor intention to market conditions, if we saw an unstoppable market run like we saw at the end of 2017 then definitely we are going to see new highs, lets stay positive and hope for the best.

Yes there are lots of projects running on ETH, but that doesn't mean it's going to increase to a new ATH this year.

I'm pretty certain now that Ethereum is set on a path to redemption. We should begin to see new highs this year. But my bet should be around $500 to $700.

If we will compare the current price in 1month, we will see that it shows an upward pattern that creates eth to pump from @0175 to @0195 now based on what I am seeing in binance chart. Eth is doing much better and it has needed this for a while. If you consider it is needed for gas for every single token then you would assume it would go up in price. It has a need and it is one of the few alt currencies that are actually worth something and spendable and needed. I also have been using eth more and more often for buying things online especially when you paying small amounts like a few $$.

It is not impossible that Etherium's harha will rise again, but this must go hand in hand with the price of botcoin as well. Since the beginning of 2017 we have known that Bitcoin and Etherium will be in tune with the same price increase, as well as many transactions using ETH.

It is a tough task to expect the price of Ethereum reaching an all time high valuation anytime soon, either they need to come up with something that could attract the investors but by the way in which they are going it is a hard ask to expect them to reach those high rally in the coming years. I am not investing in it anytime soon as i am not expecting this to move higher because the valuation is too small now to have a rally in the next one year.

As for the pool of viable POS chains out there, the numbers continue to grow, and the competition is becoming more stiff. Except Ethereum comes up with an overwhelming incentive POS economics that undercuts all the current versions in the market. The ATH level of Ethereum was achieved almost 2 years back and then it was the ICO hype which propelled the currency to such a high valuation. But the ICO bubble burst after a few months and Ethereum came back to the previous levels. And I don't tjink that this cycle is going to repeat again. What happened in 2017 was a once in a blue moon event. Those who invested in Ethereum back then got 120x returns, which would look unbelievable if we compare other mainstream investment options such as stocks and bullion.

It's been upped for like 50 bucks this month so that's a good start, although the expectation is too high because of current condition and many speculators said that the price could even go higher, but yea speculation is just a speculation. let's hope what we can do next

Based on the development release, we might have some higher expectation for ETH, at the beginning of this year already the price of ETH increased 50$ which seems to be very interesting. Once we see the development release definitely the price of ETH will skyrocket in this year.

The price went up due to pure speculation. There was no major news from the development team lately and there is still no clarity regarding the timelines for Ethereum 2.0. I also hope that the price of Ethereum will rise very high and set a new record, because I bought Ethereum in 2018 (when Ethereum prices down very far), so if Ethereum prices increase very high (exceeding Ethereum prices in 2017), then I will definitely get a very big profit, therefore I still hold Ethereum that I have, because I am sure the project from Ethereum will be used by many companies and make the price of Ethereum can increase very high.

Come to think of it, Ethereum price skyrocketed when the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed too so in order for Ethereum to reach a new ATH Bitcoin must reach a new ATH too. If BTC will not go beyond $20,000 then there will be new ATH for Ethereum. Anyway, anything is possible in the crypto market. Lets just see if what happens to this coin. I think you are right because etherum has done well in the past few days with its price rising up to 266$.
But still it somehow is under the radar, almost everyone is mentioning bitcoin surpassing 10,000$.

I think if bitcoin continues its bull run and increases in price, etherum will follow suit, and other altcoins.

With their positive news that's coming into the network it will see another all time high again. Since the positive movement, ethereum has been one of the best altcoin that has a good move. Ethereum upgrade maybe the possible cause of this move and bitcoin in general. Bitcoin movement always have a good impact on all other Altcoins.
