Unfortunately, no. My country isn't exactly what you would call a bitcoin oriented country. Only a few businesses accept bitcoin/Cryptocurrencies as a means of payment method. That said, I should note that travelling embassies are government owned and at the moment, government organization aren't the best friends of bitcoin or tother cryptocurrencies.

Embassy is an interesting choice of words. Do you mean is Bitcoin accepted in your country or actually in your country's embassy? I doubt that any country's embassy accepts crypto currency. I'd be shocked if they did...and delighted. It's just that embassy's don't need to dabble, they don't sell merch, they process visas, handle foreign affairs...they operate in the currency their government support and the currency of the country they're operating in.

If its under the control of government then its so impossible for them to accept bitcoin right now but hopefully more private companies will do. Government is still not sure about this thing and feels its a big threat for them even on my country. We are still fortunate to use bitcoin even if there’s no support from the government, time will come for them to realize it.

In my country cryptocurrencies are not a  legal tender to use it is will not good for crypto users in our country. But I know the embassy will control by governments. So there are legal issues for acceptance of Bitcoins. But it will possible country like Japan because there are done regulations for crypto currencies.

Only a few in embassy countries accept bitcoin but in my country it doesn't accept that because it would be risky if the government were in control of all this.
Any payment such as, bills, trading, etc. will be difficult to use bitcoin but only in our country fiat is in charge if not using it then it is not legal in the eyes of the government.
We are just waiting for the time whether maybe a second country will legalize bitcoin as a whole.

In my country's embassies? Probably not. If a country's government does not approve of cryptocurrencies, it won't make sense if their embassies would. Though in my country's case, they're neither against it or approve it, and it seems like they are disregarding it.

Adoption in institutions like these might be helpful, but an embassy does not really need an alternative way of payment as such.

I think that the use of the word "embassy" is not rational here. Embassies are of the governments therefore they can only accept the fiat money of their own country or that of the country they are in. I still have to hear any embassy getting into cryptocurrency and if there can be then that can be on the news. Most probably, you can referring to countries where it can be easy to use Bitcoin to buy anything (products and services) and in that case I think there are now merchants of different countries accepting Bitcoin and if you are planning to travel to a specific country it would be good to know in advance if merchants (like hotels, restaurants, shops) are already into Bitcoin. Now, we have to admit that it can be more convenient for a traveler to convert his Bitcoin in advance and just bring the fiat money instead. You can also be inspired by going to YouTube and look for videos of people travelling the world just relying on Bitcoin. We are dreaming of a time when the tourism industry in many country can be so friendly to Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general.

So far there is no country that can truly accept bitcoin as a means of payment. The IMF has appealed to almost all countries for this. Then the rules governing cryptocurrency also do not yet exist, yes even though we know that almost all cryptocurrency is decentralized, but there are difficulties when the government does not want to open up to this. Bitcoin is only a commodity for now.

Actually right now in our country, bitcoin is not yest legalize and not yet acceptable for marketing strategy and purposes but in some online transaction we can use bitcoin and other cryptocurrency as a transaction.
Country travelling embassy in our country is not yet accepting bitcoin because first of all the government is not yet applicable to accept this kind of payment for the transaction that will be made especially when it comes to travelling agency, they are just accepting cash or cheques in order to process the payment for them but I hope sooner or later they will be realized to be open on cryptocurrency and bitcoin as the transaction or mode of payment for their services.

My country is welcoming cryptocurrency. We can pay different bills using crypro and now has more than 10 approved crypto exchange to operate. But when you mean embassy, I don't think so. Since cryptocurrency is not legal yet, a government sector wouldn't accept cryptocurrency payments. We only have one legal tender so it wouldn't make sense if they'll be accepting crypto when they are from the government unless crypto has finally been legalized.

What do you mean? Do you mean whether Bitcoin is accepted as proof of having financial means for travels? In my country it's not. I had to apply for visa a year ago about was indeed a problem for me that while I had some money in BTC, I could not provide it as proof. I'll probably have to apply for visa again in summer, and I'll face the same problem. It pushes me towards selling my savings for fiat, and honestly I don't like it.

it seems like the embassy does not accept bitcoin payments meaning that people in the government sometimes do not support this bitcoin because of the problem of money laundering, but in my country it is not forbidden to use bitcoin as an investment no more than that and not allowed to pay anything with bitcoin because it is illegal , even though it is forbidden, I still obey the rules of just buying and holding it in my wallet as well as some other crypto

I am curious about what organizations you are referring to. The embassy responded emphatically that I must exchange it in advance for fiat for binding purposes in their terms. They don't forbid me to own it, but bitcoin is still not an asset that can be used legally. I think it's quite clear here that they haven't opened options for visas and so on.

Not that I'm aware of, and I also doubt that government agencies such as embassy will readily accept BTC as payment.

Except maybe:

Of course not.Why would embassies around the world accept bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency? Many countries in the world consider cryptocurrencies to be a digital or financial asset, not an actual currency, hence they won't send or receive payments in crypto coins.
OP,that's a weird question.Do you plan to travel somewhere and exchange your bitcoins in some embassy? ;D

In my country I guess partly it is acceptable since a lot of people had already making money out of it. As to the usage, still it needs to be converted to our local currency. Some can be useful for bills and other commodity payments through bitcoin. I think there's just a need for a thorough discussion of it without compromising its usual processes to proceed with its legalities.

in my country bitcoin is legalized but unfortunately, even though it is legal, the use of bitcoin for transactions is strictly prohibited, they are too worried about the fluctuations, even though in my opinion it is a user risk. but of course, I hope that in the future many countries will legalize the use of bitcoin, such as how many countries have legalized and used bitcoin such as Japan, Korea, United States and others.

No, at least not a place so close to the government. I know there are some brokers in my country who help crypto users exchange their cryptocurrencies for Fiat currency. Maybe as the year goes on the government might decide to use Bitcoin as well but I doubt this ever happening because of the way my country sees crypto.

Not here. Fun fact, in my country government offices or in its embassy, not even cheques or cards are accepted lmao. Because of money laundering cases or such, trust on public is so down that they accept only cash here that too in small denominations so not to get stuck with fake notes.

It is very minimal in my country, the government remains neutral and I think that is the main reason why it is not widely accepted here yet. They don't want to talk about such things for now since they only focus on the problems inside the country.

Your question does not really fit the situation, why do embassies use bitcoin? It's a redundancy and a lot more time consuming. Right now bitcoin is just acceptable in stores, I don't need it to grow too fast. Step by step is my goal for bitcoin, in the next 5-10 years it is certain that bitcoin will be more popular and it will be widely used as Fiat

Thats a great news for you. I feel so envious about that because here in my country, bitcoin or any other cryptocurrecy is not yet legal because only few knows about it. I think its just like 3 out of 10 and that is one of the reasons thats why our government does not legalizes cryptocurrencies and here you cant see any store or shops that are accepting cryptocurrencies as a means of payment.

Nope, you can not use bitcoin in terms of payment but only as an investment tool, basically you can't use or transact with other currencies than our official currency whether it's USD, euro or even crypto. So this is the reason why bitcoin has been banned in our country. But owning and trade bitcoin is allowed, because it is simillar to gold.

Because if anyone knows we are involved in bitcoin then there may be huge problems. So there is no chance of accepting Bitcoin in my country's embassy. Bitcoin is a difficult adoption for countries let alone embassy, Even countries like Malta, Singapore etc. with obvious adoption of bitcoin dont present such opportunity for payment . Payment for visa application or what? The interest of governments and their financial system is still silent and I believe its a process for cryptocurrency, stable coin might easy adoption by Government than bitcoin ( because of its volatility)

No , but for the future I do think that it could happen since the country right now am residing in make the bitcoins legal 100% therefore I do think that it would be really good if that happens but I am not sure if it would .

Because the embassy is governmental body therefore I do not think that the government would be that keen on the point .

Therefore I do think that that's a big no for a while for sure.

Nope.. Authorities in my country are still not very friendly with cryptocurrencies. I mean they haven't banned it or established any rules against them, it's just that adoption is not growing at the rate I'd like it too, but we can't have all the things in life don't we?.. Or we can ?  :D

Personally I think that institution adoption of Bitcoin will come as more and more businesses start using it. This way they will be obligated to come with a regulatory framework.

in my country, bitcoin has actually been accepted. but not as a means of payment. In my country, bitcoin is only a commodity of trade. like gold, silver, oil, etc. so it is not authorized as a means of payment. only, some online web shops from my country provide payment options via Bitcoin. I several times bought and paid bills on several websites using BTC, even though government regulations prohibit payments other than using the legal currency.

It is not legalized in many states including China which contributes the biggest part of this market, but still people are using and adopting it in the multiple fields of their lives. Same is the case with me it is not legalized in my country also this is one of the biggest reason why it is not accepted as the payment method at small stores and shopping stores. I a still using it and having benefits from it.

Nigerian government through the central bank has frowned about the cryptocurrencies and have won several time that people should not consider it as a safe and secure currency. However, there has been growing trading of the coin among the citizens. Today, you can not work a mile without seeing a poster of crypto trading. However, the acceptance of bitcoin in government agencies and other areas such as aviation and all other countries embassy have not at any time accepted crypto as a means of paying for visa applications, etc. even some of the European embassy that are known to be supporting crypto and blockchain project. probably they are trying to comply with the financial framework that has been established by the government through the central bank. Hopefuly in nearest future we can see any embassy that might be accepting crypto as a payment processor.

They do not accept bitcoin in my country's embassy. But I have seen a news about one embassy that allows their citizens to exchange Bitcoin for cash right at the embassy, can’t remember which country is that, someone even reposted it in this forum.

In my country if you’re looking for a place to exchange Bitcoin there are some millionaires that opened private exchange office where they exchange mainly Bitcoin and no other cryptocurrencies. I have seen a few of them agree to exchange Ethereum, but they are mainly accepting Bitcoin.

My country embassy doesn't accept bitcoin yet. When it starts, then we are sure that the world government has finally endorsed bitcoin as a global currency.
But cryptocurrency is already legal in my country, as it can be exchanged for our national currency.

There was no Bitcoin-related news recently in my country and the government is not really on friendly terms with cryptocurrency so I guess the embassy itself is not accepting payment in cryptocurrency form as of the moment. There were only a few establishments here who accepts Bitcoin as a form of payment but they are far away from my place so I can't say much about them, I only read about them here in the forum. I'm not sure if they will do accept BTC as payment in the future but I hope they will. It's probably just a matter of time, Bitcoin needs to make its way to the government first.
