OK, so I have this friend who is a sports physician and chiropractor. He is planning to advertise himself but for some reason he doesn't have time creating a website. I want to help him out and since I am confident that I can write some nice content I told him I would help him out.

I was thinking of creating blogs on Medium, Steemit, reddit, a twitter profile and so on.
I have no experience with SEO writing but I am a quick learner and I will learn it.

I am sure there are a lot of fake SEO experts and people just looking to make money on beginners like me so I wanted to ask you all for some help.
Can you suggest what I should look for? Which tutorials and videos do you find helpful on this topic?

In addition to that, is it possible to get your Medium, Steemit and other blog posts ranked decently on Google?

First, you must learn about making content for your blog. Basic or common content will not attracted for people, expecially a new blog. You should think it first, you will facing so many competitor. Example, if you want to search "what is bitcoin?", there are so many blog with bitcoin explanation blog in google.
If you don't have any skills about SEO writing, i suggest you learn it in online.

The two sources you shared are very helpful, thanks. But I have a question. SEO type of content seems to apply to websites and individual blogs. Will such optimized content work on a Steemit blog or reddit? Have you tried writing SEO content yourself?
