I fought with all of the abbreviations before settling on CNCY.  I think that it is the best.  I really thought that there should be an R in there as well.  I really wanted CRNCY, but then I am basically spelling Currency, so...

No real right choice there, just matter of preference I suppose.



Delta,  All in process :)  The name and development has been around for a bit and I wanted to get it out.  I will be changing a number of things.  Namely the difficulty adjustment and probably the time of blocks. All other stats will sty the same.  Number of coins and what not.  You have any good dev ideas?

why not Scrypt Adaptive-N

Adaptive N will not be considered.  Tech is good and we will advance with tech.  Unless, you can point me to somewhere than makes a compelling reason to adopt.  I just do not see the benefit, except to remain all GPU forever, which is bad.

Do you really think that "these improvements" are worth a damn.  Hint: the answer is no.

Can you name one innovation that is truly warranted? POS, Adaptive N, Quark, it is all smoke and mirrors and we will not play part to it.  That being said, we do have work to do on the backend and it is being addressed.  Chill out.  Things take time.


What we strive for is to give people a cryptocurrency that is recognizable and has value.  Again, it takes time.  

Stop trying to makes things they are not.

Again, backend improvements are the works.



That is why the 5 minute blocks, to temper the 5 hour diff adjustment.  The block time and diff algorithm will be changed soon, maybe before launch, if possible.

Time is a constraint.  I spend weekends with GF, so nothing gets done.  I really only have about 6 hours tomorrow.

I suppose I could push back the launch to later next week, but I would rather not.

Sorry, I've had an internet outage.  Pushing launch back to April 4th.  Sorry about the issues.

Launch pushed back to Wednesday April 9th.  Working on client to make it stand out in the crowd.  I think you guys are going to like the changes.

Launch pushed back to as soon as the client update is finished.

Amazing Changes in store that will make us stand out.  Should be done soon, but can not commit to a luanch date.  The launch will however, be 2 days after the new client is ready.

Launch has been delayed until the updates to the client are finished.  It should be soon and there are major changes for which the community will be very happy.  The old client is basically thrown away and started from scratch with fresh ideas.
