This is a nice information and indeed helpful. I didnt know that in my country we already have 4 atm machines available. I wanted to know where those locations, does the Coinatmradar. Com (http://Coinatmradar. Com) have specifics for the locations or area where those atms have been mentioned?

OP would like to ask permission to you  if I could reshare this post on our Local board too, or should I seek first consent with the website owners like you do. Thank you.

There has a map for specific locations if you want to know. I'm not mention it here.

Because I'm not owner of this sites, please send email to them. You can refer this thread if you want.

One specific interesting aspect to consider (besides worldwide placement and share) is growth. Specifically, where the growth is taking place.

The growth of Bitcoin ATMs worldwide in a year has gone from 4.345 (1st of March 2019) to 7.047 (05 th of March 2020), which represents an increase of 2.702 ATMs (62,19% increase). Nevertheless, the hardcore volume still resides in the US:

US (gone from 2.479 to 4.870 in a year – up 96,45%)
Canada (gone from 620 to 706 in a year – up 13,87%)
UK (gone from 208 to 282 in a year – up 35,58%)
Austria (gone from 262 to 131 in a year – down 50,0%)
Spain (gone from 70 to 73 in a year – up 4,29%)
Switzerland (gone from 52 to 82 in a year – up 57,69%).

Data derived from https://coinatmradar.com/charts/growth/

The above 6 countries represent a net growth of 2.453 ATMs. The total world growth was of 2.702 ATMs, so these countries cover 90,78% of the net ATMs created.

Specifically, the US alone represents 88,85% of all net ATM growth worldwide. So not only does the US represent 79,7% of all installed ATM (see https://coinatmradar.com/charts/geo-distribution), but it is also still behind the vast majority of growth worldwide.

Edited: One country that puzzles me is Austria. Which has retreated 50% in it’s ATM network, unlike other major countries … Ok, found out why: some (article states only 3 out 179) were dicomissionesd this year (see https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-atms-close-to-7000). As @malevolent points out, regulation could be behind the drop. Anyone from Austria care to elaborate ?

As far as I know OP is from Indonesia too, so I doubt he will forgot to note it. The reason for its absence is simply your country doesnt have any at the moment.  :D

You could add a little "*" section somewhere and add a fillippone (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1852120) experience with ATM (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5219223) (or translated version to Russian Language (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5226195.msg53877803#msg53877803)). I suppose this could be useful  ;)

P.S. I'll try to search the forum for same review/guides about using ATM and post it here if I find something.

Interestingly enough I haven't ran into any Bitcoin ATMs. I don't go to the cities too often, and that would be a contributing factor. However, it would be interesting to see how these are being advertised, and what their daily usage is. I'm assuming without doing any research that there's multiple Bitcoin ATMs in Cardiff, Wales, but despite that I haven't seen any ATMs within the central parts of Cardiff which I would expect them to be most prominent. I tend to avoid London as much as possible, but they are probably better advertised, and utilized there.

<…>
<…> I’ve personally never come across one yet, and consider that there is probably a large gap between the quantitative figures that CoinATMradar provides, and the qualitative constraints that make a given ATM likely to ever come across my book of possible prospect ATMs.

For example, this one looks nice enough:
https://i.imgur.com/RFqB1Xz.png

Whilst this one looks more like I’d get mugged in the process of using it:
https://coinatmradar.com/images/generalbytes/generalbytes_bitcoin_atm_8755833641.jpg

I figure there is not much information to go by in terms of the number of monthly TXs and amounts (what I’ve seen seem like seller’s textbook best scenario cases).

I’m also not really certain on how accurate the information is on CoinATMradar’s webpage in terms of those still up and running. Quite a few do not have the Status nor Feedback informed, so you can’t be certain it’s going to be up and running when you get there. Additionally, more info on the type of placement would be interesting (i.e. categorization such as "Busy mall", "Empty mall", "Cul-de-sac" or "hairdressers").

Actually, I did find one in what seems to be a hairdressers …:
https://coinatmradar.com/images/btcfacil/btcfacil_bitcoin_atm_f9ea076e05.jpg

Cardiff claims to have 6 ATMs of the kind. Out of the six, only one has some user feedback (basically issues), so Feedback is not currently representative enough to draw customers to one or another there (the first one to realize this may take advantage there).

The information is great, but also a bit inaccurate.

I think CoinATMRadar shows only cash-in / cash-out machines, not all the machines (meaning it doesn'y include also the ATMs which accept just cash-in).

If cash-in-only machines would have been included, I think Romania would be the country with the biggest number of crypto ATMs, or at least in top 3 (?). In Romania, almost all supermarkets have a multifunctional cash-in ATM, which can be used, among others, for paying bills, taxes, for charging phone prepaid cards and for buying crypto (mostly BTC).

However, it would be interesting to see how these are being advertised

I live in a city where there used to be about 3 Bitcoin ATMs and I can't recall seeing any advertisements in the buildings. I could only find some information about them on the local Facebook Bitcoin related groups. Since all of them were located in shopping galleries, a lot of people were staring at me while I was using them.

In 2016 the Bitcoin ATM was in Bali, precisely at the Indodax office.  But along with the regulation of Crypto assets, ATMs are prohibited by the Indonesian government.
So until now in Indonesia there is no more.
It is unfortunate that Bitcoin ATMs are prohibited in our country, because in developing countries there are already dozens, hundreds or even thousands of Bitcoin ATMs.   :-[

Interesting stuff. I had no idea that number of Bitcoin ATM's in USA is such big. Probably, it's more than ATM's of banks in my country :D
And it's nice to see big number of ATM's in some average countries in Europe like Hungary, Romania or Slovakia. I don't think that Bitcoin ATM is very useful thing, but big number of these machines probably shows big demand for it.
It's shame  that I can't find my country in this list. There was 2 or 3 Bitcoin ATM's in my country in past, but it were removed due to stupid regulations...

that was i think too, indonesia has one before, then regulations forbid it, but strangely why don't they block the use of crypto in Indonesia
people can still trade, so this is a little confusing  ::)

That article doesn't delve into 'why' that happened. Austria has gone from 265 to 126 Bitcoin ATMs (https://coinatmradar.com/charts/growth/austria/) due to regulations (https://www.btc-echo.de/regulatorische-klarheit-fuer-bitcoin-automaten/), in this case transaction limits and KYC, as well as having to register with some financial regulator.

My country, Malaysia is also pretty restrictive when it comes to cryptos. So far, only three companies including Luno have been approved by the government.

Meanwhile Binance has already applied for licensing in Singapore...

Thanks for compiling, that is a lot of ATM's but In my country I got one testimony from my fellow crypto enthusiast about a particular ATM. The rate is not that updated a bit high or lower compared to the current price, I hope not in all ATM's and some lack technical support. But it just started a few years ago in my country for sure it will improve its service in the future.

Hey masulum,

First post must be edited a little. Latvia should be removed from the list. Currently, there is no ATM at Crypto Embassy CryptoCash (https://coinatmradar.com/bitcoin_teller/6254/bitcoin-teller-bitcoin-teller-riga-crypto-embassy-cryptocash/). Also I will contact coinatmradar.com support too.

At the following address only the office is located. I've contacted them because will be travelling around soon and want to visit them.
The only way to make an exchange there is: confirm the rate with their representative, they give you btc address, you make a wire and after 1 network confirmation they give you the cash.

We only have 4 in our country and don't know if the company that installed those ATM have planned to add more ATM, Cryptocurrency is becoming huge in our country, but people here prefer to buy and sell their Bitcoin to online exchanges that we have here, like Coins.ph and Abra have not even tried to use one myself here.

Sorry masulum I also made a thread about bitcoin atm on the Indonesian board here exactly https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5258364.msg54690335#msg54690335 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5258364.msg54690335#msg54690335) the source is also from, coinatmradar. I just found out you also wrote here. At present the development of bitcoin ATMs has increased rapidly and there are already 8444 atms throughout the world. The United States still dominates for the amount of atm installed.

Genesis Coin became is the company that the most manufacturing Crypto ATM machines, followed by General Bytes, Bitacces and Lamasu. I read several ATMs that support multiple digital currencies, not just bitcoin there is LTC, BCH, DASH, XMR and I think it's top ten coin. But of all Crypto, Bitcoin is the most widely used currency.

Efficency, maybe this is the reason why people in your country using exchange than ATM. Because from exchange, user just need to fill easy data than goes to ATM.

Sadly there are no bitcoin ATMs around here although we have a lot of people interested in buying/selling bitcoin.
Bitcoin ATMs would decrease the risk of getting scammed by untrusted local sellers and it would save us a lot of time when trying to cash out to the local currency.

Efficency, maybe this is the reason why people in your country using exchange than ATM. Because from exchange, user just need to fill easy data than goes to ATM.
Also because most exchanges don't ask for KYC when exchanging small amounts. Besides, they charge less fees compared to ATMs.

I'm surprised that there are so many ATM machines in the US. In my country, there are only 4 ATM machines which I never see.

Still, I think Bitcoin is still not yet adopted in most of the countries and even in some countries, bitcoin is not even accepted I think if the government is the one that is going to push bitcoin there is a big chance it might adopt fast compare when the government doesn't care about it or doesn't support it.

I'm surprised that there are so many ATM machines in the US.
Well, I am surprised too, they are the biggest community that has a bitcoin ATM machine, but why Press Trump in the US did not like bitcoin and I read from the tweet on his twitter account said, " I am not a fan of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies" [ https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1149472282584072192 ].

Indeed, this is a very helpful thread because I have read newbies threads asking where they can buy bitcoin without complying with KYC verification.
Now, you can easily browse the bitcoin ATM machine near you.

Indeed, this is a very helpful thread because I have read newbies threads asking where they can buy bitcoin without complying with KYC verification.
I see in the US all about Crypto is under surveillance, and FinCen is the agent to oversee all Bitcoin ATMs activities in the US. The aim is to avoid AML and other malicious transactions. So I think they use KYC for user registration requirements. For this reason, this may apply to all Bitcoin ATMs. So i think can not buy or sell or other transaction Bitcoin at ATM without KYC (IMO).

I think this services is community based input data. Everyone can submit any information about ATM near him or send a feedback if community found fakes information. About approval, team not mentioned much on this form https://coinatmradar.com/submit/ if you need more information, maybe you can send them an email.

There *were* about three or four in South East Queensland at one point.  I was able to use the infamous one that was seized by QPS both prior to their raid on a coffee shop and later on when it moved just up the road to a stationery supply shop.  It's now parked in a garage on the inner eastern suburbs while another ended up turned off in an inner western suburb.  All of them had been turned off by the start of 2018 prior to the spike in price.  I haven't heard where any are now.

PandaBtm was operating one:

it says it got moved...but the page shows no other ATM..

And their map shows nothing:

The one that is listed

is a buy only machine

Yes I opened https://coinatmradar.com/country/44/bitcoin-atm-china/ (https://coinatmradar.com/country/44/bitcoin-atm-china/), there is no bitcoin ATM in China. I think this relates to the law rules in China, if digital currency is only virtual property and not as payment. Although Chinese PBOC (People’s Bank of China) recently launched digital yenYuan, this system that I know is different from Crypto blockchain.

As far as I know China is a country that does not have much sympathy for cryptocurrencies, even cryptocurrencies are banned in this country. So the absence of Bitcoin ATMs & altcoins in this country is completely understandable.

5071ATM Bitcoin & Altcoin is located in United States. This is an impressive figure, it is even more than all other countries combined. This is amazing, can we say that the United States is the cryptocurrency market's paradise.

Considering how high the fees American Bitcoin ATMs tend to have, is it really a paradise? All it shows how beneficial it is to be a huge developed country with easy access to capital. But the ATMs themselves have to ROI, and due to compliance requirements that's only possible with high fees.
