Title: Is this the right time to invest in Stellar (XLM) in short term?
Post by: NIKUBHI on March 06, 2020, 12:27:34 PM
As we all know Stellar (XLM) is a crypto coin, Which ranks in the top 15 positions in our crypto market. But from the past four to six months, it not doing a great job and the price regularly dumps. For a long time investment, almost every cryptocurrency gives a decent amount of profits. But in short time investment, Should Stellar (XLM) perform a good job, As the crypto market is in profitable conduction. Is this the right time to invest in Stellar (XLM) in the short term?

I have some XLM in my portfolio but for long term, I earned when prices are at the 1USD levels, and I'll only sell if the prices hits 2USD

For short time I think ETH is a better choice, if you are following the market, ETH can do a higher price and profit if BTC rises due to the halving, and remember it's all related to BTC in the end

XLM is still down by 90+% since it reached $0.80+

I don't know if that is a good entry or not. We will have to check what the team is planning to do next. Is there any upcoming product release, partnership, or listing that will make traders buy this coin? Yes - buy. No - look elsewhere.

The above is only an opinion. Follow it at your own risk.

I am now a long term holder of XLM coin, so, I will definitely suggest you, yes, this is the right time to invest in Stellar, as you might know, Stellar burned a huge supply last year, and Bitcoin halving is very near, so, all of these big event's impact is yet to be launched on XLM, So, buy now and wait for a massive pump. As you intend to hold for a short term then whenever you see a good profit, take that and get out from XLM to buy another gem! Good Luck!

Honestly many altcoins have great potential, the only challenge which they are facing is the long bear market which is trying to recover now. I see Stellar as a good coin.

I would not recommend you to invest in any coins at the moment as the market is trading sideways. You should always enter the market when it is bear and leave when it is Bull. For short term profit this is not the right time.

Do not buy XLM for short terms gain, you should only buy it for long term. I would recommend you to check LINK. It has be growing up in the present maket condition. You can make a quick profit in short term.

DYOR...

I too would not recommend Stellar for short term as there are many better options to pick from. Stellar did made some buzz last year but almost all of project within itself were largely failure. Stellar was promoted as a cheaper fee alternative for Ethereum but the blockchain doesn't provide the same flexibility as the Ethereum tokens can. Stellar coding has less options to offer.

Well everyone is not doing great in the last 6 months even the top 10 altcoins.

As for your goals, short term? long short? Although we have some respite from last years huge dump, the market is still at worst when coins are still -60% to -95% from their all time high.

The only bright side is that XLM is cheap, however, we don't know when it will be going to be pump next, that's why I ask your goal, six months? Bitcoin Halving is coming, and it could have a domino effect on alts, IMHO, so you have to think about that. Best of luck to you.

I think stellar would be a good coin to have in your portfolio. The best thing I love about their system is they need to have an activated wallet with some XLM coins and each token you are willing to use needs to be anchored with some more XLM coins. This limits the cluttering of wallet and discourage senseless projects from using their platform.

Right now, XLM is very cheap considering the ATH. You can accumulate some if you are in it for long-term. But in short-term, the charts are not that interesting to make an investment in the coin. Once Bitcoin settles, almost the coin gets pumped.

You can invest in any altcoin you wish, I personally suggest you to prefer ETH at this moment. I guess it will smash $300 in couple of days because I personally feel it's looking very aggressive after some great performance from the past two months and yes when it comes to XRP I don't think short-term investment will work as it is not doing good from the past few months, still it's upto you do proper research and Invest accordingly. Good luck 8)

I do not know your short term target is, if your short term target is 1%~5% profit for a month then there is no problem for you to invest in it.
But if you want to get more than that in the short term, I recommend you find something else because XLM basically moved sideways these days. It is very unlike to achieve a greater profit in the short term. These past months, XLM did not do something great to increase the value of their coin.
How about finding something else on the exchange? I traded MITH today and it worked fine. Got 5% of profit in a single day.

I have some XLM in my portfolio but for long term
Correct. Invest means hold your interest coins in medium or long term. For short-term, it is trading, not invest.
If one investor misunderstands it and wrongly sets up plans of investments, the that one will be unable to control emotion and mostly will easily fall into panic and get loses.

Stellar is a very good altcoin and its price now is good to enter but I would invest in Stellar with my plans to take profits in the next 3 months. With that planned-period of investment, I will be able to stay waiting patiently for good price to take profits.

As its core fundamental price movement, Stellar often suddenly skyrockets but it is a bit stressful and dissapointed when you hold it for months without any considerable growths. Anyway, in investment, waiting and patience help you earn money.

I think at this time it is not suitable for XLM to invest in the short term. What do you mean by daily trading? If in the long run, of course it's good, I also hold some XLM, but not much, but I'm sure that in the long run, XLM can return my profits because XLM has not yet shown a good movement.

There are other coins that are good for the short term as I have seen ETH and LINK.

The current status for now has decline so with this XLM if short term is very risky. Actually I have still xlm until now in my wallet but for long term hold. Once I am earning to the price I expected I will sell it for a profit. In my view, I can't say if this is a good point to buy so also by taking risks you can do on your own decisions.

Stellar could be recommended for the long term but I don't think it would be as beneficial as other coins for short term as there is no exceptional things happening for it within the next few months. Bitcoin is a favorite due to the may halving. People are mooning Ethereum for it's POS shift. Stellar is a horse of long run.

I cannot say that stellar is a good currency to invest for a short term because if you will check it's graph closely there are no big intervals to it's price but if you have huge amount for investment then a single cents of increase is already a good profit. Stellar is currently sitting at 0.06$ which currently rank at number 13 base on coinmarketcap and it is not a bad ranking.

For me, instead of short term investment stellar is a good investment for a long term one because it is safe investment as it is ranking good in coinmarketcap while the demand will not fade easily.

coin ranking top or top 20 in my opinion is not good for the short term.
except if indeed market conditions are rising and btc is rising dramatically.
otherwise it will not give good results.

Many experts say that XLM is good to have revenue for a long period of time. They speculate from their long term forecast that XLM was a good potential for investing in the long term. I think you are wrong if you are intended this for short term purposes. This is not a hype coin that you will earn in a short period of time.

Some of my friends have XML on their portfolio by joining airdrop before. Until now they keep holding on it because they believed that this coin have a potential to hold in a long term investment. So, OP, it's better to keep hold and wait until we will see your profit was there.

Is this the right time to invest in Stellar (XLM) in the short term?

If you think you can make a profit from stellar, you can invest from now on. But I don't think that stellar can increase in the short term because all of the coins will still depend on bitcoin moves. So if bitcoin price does not move anywhere, especially needs a long time to increase so high, stellar and the other altcoin will be on the same situations.

I still hold some stellar from a long time ago while I am buying more stellar in a few months ago before the price reach the price now. But if the price can get down for a low price, maybe I will buy more stellar and hold it again. It still a mystery for every coin in the market on when the coin can increase because the market seems not going higher or lower, so we can only wait for a while.

For short term investment BTC, ETH, LTC those are some good coins. But I think stellar(XLM) is good for a long term investment. I also have some XLM in my crypto portfolio. So we can not deny that it is one of the best coins from CMC so we can not judge a coin only by its price. It will recover in time. now price is low so if anyone has any plan to invest in XLM maybe this is a very good time.

As i always say, everytime is a good time to invest.
What matters is when you get into a trade, and when you decide to get out of a trade.

And it all falls back to your research ability. Are you a proper trader ? or you just buy low and hope to sell high ?
Get your strategies right, and you will enjoy trading.

Well i will not recommend for short term but i am quite confident that if you buy and hold a bag of xlm for 6 to 18 months then you will be able to encash superb profits especially after bitcoin flies there are high chances that good coins linke xlm will follow too.

In my opinion, Stellar is worth a short-term investment at current prices. XLM is one of the coins that is actively traded and is listed on many exchangers, so for liquidity problems, I think it's not a problem when we want to sell at any time

@NIKUBHI there’s no doubt in my mind that Stellar has a good ranking in the crypto market but I would advice you to only buy it if you can hodl it for the long term otherwise don’t buy it. The reason why I’m stressing on long term holding is because crypto’s often give good returns when you hold them for the long term, but if you decide to opt for short term trading then let me warn you that there’s a possibility of you incurring a loss if stellar prices suddenly crashes.

I am not sure Stellar can increase in the short term because I guess we are still far away to see stellar will increase. But that could happen if the market can start to rise high, and now I think you can invest stellar for the long term. For the short term, I think ethereum will be one option of the coin in the market because the price now is at a low price, and the price can increase in the short term. But that will depend on you, and maybe you can buy stellar from now before the price increase which we don't know when it will happen.

Actually i don't think so it's a good idea to invest on this coin right now. Cause XLM didn't pump after 2018. Still there is no huge change or update from them, so in my opinion it's not good choice. Personally i did many trade with this token but if you are want holding XLM for short time then i'll say it's not a good move. But i'll recommend for long term holding. It's a good altcoin for sure and it'll be worth it if you hold it for long time.

You are right, for short-term trading or investment, it is not so good because chart movement is also not so good for short-term investment. but if making a target to wait for a pump market occurs where it will also affect XLM it might not be a problem. but this coin will indeed be better in the medium and long term.

Xlm is a nice platform. The only problem is the lack of promotions and activity. I dont know if they even have dApps already or any thing that their coin will be used. How many platform or projects using their ecosystem? Im not creating fud here but due to performance of eth, eos, tron they been unnoticed.

Especially klaytn blockchain surpass them in terms of dApps activity. Maybe they can caught up if they can introduced more use cases.

From all the cryptocurrencies did you stopped exactly at Stellar ? There are tons of other coins better than Stellar and XRP so I wouldn't go all in into this coins but I would trow a few $ just to make sure I hold it in case it sky rockets but I doubt stellar can go massive up anytime soon.

Personally I would not invest right now as I would wait a few months maybe the price will continue to go down.

XLM and some other altcoins are now more suitable for short-term trading because bitcoin is still often corrected because halving will occur, short-term trading must make sure you put a stop loss for now. I see XLM now tends to rise slowly

You can consider investing short term or long term in top cryptos in the market no matter which of those. But your profit only depends on the amount of capital you are willing to gamble. Stellar is quiet good because it has low inflation because of its large supply on which you can take advantage of.

I think not only stellar have not been making any improvement on it's price because most cryptocurrencies does not increase its price, especially bitcoin due to the bear market. Good thing that bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is starting to increase its price again and most of us are waiting for bitcoin to reach 20k USD again.

I think not because xlm have large trading volume makes slow price movements so it's not suitable for short-term trading, it's better for short-term trading. Don't choose a major coin like XLM  because altcoin major is good for long-term trading.

Because of my friends who made some good profits back in January, 2018 I decided to buy some stash in 2019 which am still holding till date because the price is still down with over 60%. The important thing about stellar is: holding against long-term will yield more profits but, for those who are still thinking about short-term to make profit from stellar will do that at risk. Holding for a long time will be more profitable with stellar than any other  pins out there. I will keep holding till its price come up.

I think that given the current market situation, you should invest stellar or any altcoin in the long term. Short-term investments in this market may make you unprofitable, or even you will lose money without a reasonable strategy.
