Title: Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits?
Post by: SheriffEl on March 11, 2020, 11:37:17 AM
Hey crypto enthusiasts.

I recently discovered staking and I'm pretty interested in it.

However, I noticed TEZOS and COSMOS are the most staked and known staking coins. What is your experience with it? Is this profitable?

I found out that a project which i have been following lately has started its own staking event --> https://newscrypto.io/holder_rewards.pdf  Is this the same as staking? It looks profitable but i dont understand the whole procedure behind it.

What are your thought and experience around these staking/holding events?

Thanks in advance.

I use their platform and my thoughts of them are positive. They have a good product behind their token, so i think they can succeed in this market. Holding is very similar to staking in sense that you get compensated in currency just for holding certain amount. This event has quite high rewards, so it is a no-brainer, if u ask me.

Which tokens do you like to stake/hold for profits?

What you earn from staking is so small compared to how much some coin/token increase/decrease value in one month. I would not bother with thinking of how much you can earn by staking but rather buy coins/tokens that will have use case in future and its value will increase in next 10 years.  Also if sole use case of a coin is to stake it sounds a lot like a ponzi.

Well ethereum is also moving to proof of stake later this year for which you'll need 32 eth in case of solo stacking or you can stake with some pool. Similarly cardano has launched incentivized testnet their main-net isn't live yet but definitely a project to keep your eye on.

Staking profits is nothing when we compare them with crypto volatility range on prices so if you are looking to multiply your capital then its not the good way.If you just wants to make some while your crypto is sleeping then staking is okay but choose any coin which can be staked on wallet not on exchanges.

Understandable, but you do not need to do anything right? Also this NwC project has 25% rewards if you buy enough of those coins, that's not that bad imo.. But as i said i'm still new in this segment.

Its the number of ETH where by the time ETH is going to turn POS, the 32 ETH you have will be able to stake with good profit. Its not even sure if its true though. I tell whats real is to hold HASH token and stake in Bethash because passive income is going everyday for anyone who stakes it. If there is anything to invest in crypto its the casinos because whether the market can go bear or bull, you will always earn being part of the house.

I'm cold staking my XSN. (Stakenet actually invented cold staking back in 2017, and implemented it early 2018). Pretty cool.

Also running a few masternodes for passive income, which will become extremely profitable due to all the dApps that will run on these masternodes, first one being Stakenet's Lightning Network supported Multi Currency Wallet and DEX.
Allows instant trading, no sync time, no KYC, no bullshit.

I don't stake Tezos but why because it's one of the most staked is because Coinbase and Ledger are supporting it.

Honestly, I have always suggested that anyone who can get their hands on some DASH masternode should do that with no questions asked. I know that price of Dash could go up and down, it is one of the bigger losers since the 2017 peak and that is why not many people really like to get a masternode from Dash since it wouldn't really make them rich even if it was giving out 25% yearly interest because the price dropped a lot.

But, I think at its all time high one masternode was worth over a million dollars if I am not wrong, that means buying one at 65 thousand if you can would make you richer not by just giving you a decent return every single day, but also giving you profits when it will go up. It is dash after all, I am not expecting it to go away anytime soon.

Staking is similar with investment but have combination with fees transaction, more bigger you staking you'll get zero fees for your transactions. This method only for people who have big money and active for trade, specially daily but not with week/ month. In Eos platform staking can be use for saving profit from game, so the combination more variate. This time I suggest not use staking mode, try daily trade because halving most arrive and could reduce your fund of value.

Nah, I'm not having fun of doing this either cause if we would like to generate more profit better have to engage in trading or either just to hold Bitcoin. Staking won't give you much profit, it has a high risk of losing the same risk that you've been int trading. Of course, it also matters what coin you've been chosen to stake but much preferred to hold known altcoins or stick into Bitcoin alone.

Anyway, there is something we need to try and to find out also what is the result in a certain thing. Actually, there is no harm to that but I have to suggest not to put a big money on this trial.

In my case, I am always checking out on the coins that is on the ranking since they are the one who is most trustable by the investors. There is a chance that their value can easily recover because of the people who supports it. Ethereum and Ripple is a good example. Even though the value of it is currently low, you know that there is a possibility that it will rise up very soon.

Looks good. It's actually not the first time that I'm hearing of StakeNet. If I remember correctly, they are self-funded. That aside, I wanted to know the rough estimate of returns percentage, is it up to 10% yearly? Also, Has the token value appreciated or gone down during the course of your investment?

I follow www.mytvchain.io . At the moment, they are in the IEO phase and you can still buy tokens with a 30% bonus (or much cheaper from bounty hunters on Forkdelta: https://forkdelta.app/#!/trade/0x45af324f53a8d7da1752dad74adc1748126d7978-ETH )

But they have a very interesting staking program. You can receive reward just for keeping tokens, but you can also buy masternodes for them and get up to 100% ROI.

More about masternodes: https://www.mytvchain.io/masternodes-en.pdf

It looks interesting just that I'm quite surprised that an IEO on ForkDelta is offering as much as 100% Roi when they haven't even been funded. In my experience, anything that sounds too good to be true is probably not TRUE.

I know of two platforms where one can get rewarded for holding/Hodling.

[1] Binance's full fledged staking platform – features tokens like $LINK, MATIC, TEZOS etc. The yearly rate ranges ftom 5% to as much as 15%.

Link: https://www.binance.com/en/staking

PS: Binance requires some KYC. If you already have a KYC approved binance account already, you don't have to verify again.

[2] Nexo: A solid Crypto loan/lending platform. Gives as much as 8% roi for holding nexo coins.

Yeah people tend to say that a lot, altcoins can pump up to 50%, but not after the dump in 2017. I did not catch any big "pumps" since then..

maybe if we talk about which coins we think will have advantages in the future and we must hold on to my choice in Btc and ethereum. even though we all know, if the current economic situation is very difficult, causing the price of the coin to be drastically down. but on the other hand, this is the right time to invest in these coins.

Correct, however, when this crisis is over, altcoins will start booming, and then they pump for more than 100%, whereas BTC and ETH not so much. However, i agree with you that they are safer choice.

Definitely we should hold the coins we see the usage in 3-5 years from now. The Pump and dump tokens are worthless for staking at the moment. Agree on Btc and ethereum, as well as some top exchange tokens and NEO. NWC, as OP said, is also a token behind a useful project I see becoming a mainstream platform for crypto traders. Will keep an eye on that.

We can't choose which one good and potential token for staking and holding because when bitcoin dump many staking token keep allow for going down more than 50%, how come staking for each month to get profit but price suddenly increase down. Maybe hold your assets and joining staking when bitcoin stable with higher price.

when the market is down, staking won't be very profitable. those who want to stake certain coins must make a new strategy to get benefits aside from staking coins for a long time.

i think staking and hodling are somehow different to each other  . you can easily hold your coins on any crypto wallet but on staking i think it needs a staking wallet  . on the staking coins i already heard of tezos but i dont heard about the other one so i suggest go on the one that is more familliar  or if you want you can still invest smaller amount to the other one  .

there are also other good coins for staking but i already forgot them unfortunately  . better wait for other comentors tho and see if they can recomend you something good

All you need to do is open coinmarketcap and you will find coins with +50% every single day. Today you have Steem. Wasting time with staking 0.000001% is total waste of time.

I only experienced using POS crypto once and it ended badly since the POS token that I bought doesn't have many investors or support.
But if I am going to try it out again I think I would only go with DASH since it is one of the top crypto.

I tried to invest money in coins which can be staked, but this method of investing simply does not for me. I believe that you can earn much more if you just trade these coins. Staking is an income for very patient people who do not want to take risks.

By far the main investment in my portfolio is Ethereum and bitcoin.  Other cryptocurrencies that I own in my opinion are at risk, but nonetheless I expect very good results from Christasist, cortex, kubitx, sportfix.
clearly what you say is true, that bitcoin and ethereum are very reliable tokens, no one seems to be able to dodge it. but what the OP said was very relevant also that Tezos was very good and the development was quite reliable not with Cosmos still not stable.
there is no harm in tezos included as a pretty good investment.

Yup stakingrewards is G.O.A.T. website for this question, I have checked that place more than a million times before I decided to make an investment on staking, I really wanted to have an exponential growth investment before and right now I have something like that, it grows when I don't touch it, the more it grows the more it grows so as long as I don't touch it in theory I could probably get thousands of dollars just from couple bucks just by letting it be. Waves, Tezos, Cosmos, Algo, they are all great if you want to invest.

Passive income at it is best is when you divide all of it to top ones and you keep getting more and more from them while also being diversified so you do not get hurt. Do not worry about times like this, it is temporary and everything else is down as well anyway.

I personally prefer to trade daily, which is more effective for me personally with a small capital that is not suitable for choosing altcoin with stake / hold.
current price fluctuations are so large every day that nobody can predict so I better avoid holding for too long.

Yes you can earn more money in trading than just staking a certain coin, also staking limits your profit or gained money every day while in trading, it will depend on the market movement and your strategy to utilize the currrent situation of the market. But holding it and staking it is different from each other. You can hold on every wallets available and wait for pump while in staking, there will be specific wallets to do so.

Every investment certainly has a risk, but if the stake in a coin that has potential such as Tezos and Cosmos it never hurts to try. I myself have had several NRG stake that I got when earndrop round 4 and the target to sell NRG was 7-8$, and I saw that there were many people who had that stake coin.

Mostly I like to keep the top coins for the long term, because I think it's the easiest and most profitable strategy in crypto. For example  ETH, LTC, BNB, ETC, etc.

The fact that some coins are still able to get a huge pump again. I can say that is not an impossible thing to happen again. Altcoin can still get 50% or even more but the fact that if that will not happen anytime and remember that was always happening in the different rate or position. You can see what is happening with steem and it has already got a big pump and that's it.

Holding and Staking are different in terms and use! I have different choice for holding and staking. For Staking, I am stick-on Dash and Cosmos coin, I liked the Energi, but their staking reward is being tiny! And for holding purpose, I chose Ethereum, BNB, LINK, NEG and NEO coins! I will buy Bitcoin for holding when it goes to under 4K USD again!

I used to have WAVES and that was a good period however when I checked how much money I "actually" made I realized that I wasn't making all that much money at all. Consider that when you are making any type of investment. When you invest lets say 500 dollars and it promises to give you 50 cents a day thats fine, it doesn't matter if you can recoup in 1000 days, thats fine, however when your investment drops to 400 dollars or 300 dollars, the income you get is dropping as well as you losing your investments value.

So you basically end up with 30 bucks earned but your 500 becaming 400, so you have 430 in return and thats minus 70 instead of the profit you were waiting on. Calculate those type of things before you decide to put any money into stake currencies, I did a mistake and I wouldn't want you guys to do the same neither.

During times like this I remember how important to have some sort of passive income. I know you guys may think that it doesn't worth it for much of the coins, I know that not many people want to get into lower coins because they are even more volatile than bitcoin and bitcoin is really volatile. So, your 400 bucks a month passive income could turn into 100 bucks a month income in a single drop, however that is still 100 bucks income, and that is very important.

Plus, if you keep that profits you make during the good times and not take them out, you will be better during the bad times as well. Think about all the people who got fired during this period? If they put only 1% of their salary into the stake coins, they would have been making a decent income right now without working, probably not enough but they would at least get something instead of zero.

Of course thats why it is better to Hold longer and or try Trading semi long term for much Good income(but of course Riskier than staking)

I'm personally staking my Blocknet coins with an annual ROI of around 20% currently, which isn't too bad. I think I'm making around $100/month at current prices, all I need to do is keep my computer running, which it does anyway.

There are tons of projects out there to stake, I like Blocknet since it's an old project since 2014, so it's pretty consistent in terms of coin price, and return on investment. More over, if you hold 5000 BLOCK, you can run a masternode, and profit from their DEX and other services, such as their XRouter And XBridge which is coming in the near future.

As always, do your own research!

I don't have any idea about Tezos staking reward but COSMOS is a true gem in every section like you can hold it or stake it, whether you go, your profit is confirmed in this coin! Besides this, Staking XMR, DASH would be great! For holding, you may have a look at ETH, LINK, XTZ, STEEM, ICX, IPX, XLM etc, these all coins will be great!

ETH, BNB, Tezos, XLM ... these are altcoins that I hold with Bitcoin. In my experience, these are the best altcoins in this market for us to invest in, and these altcoins are also suitable for my long-term investment strategy. I believe that in the future these altcoins will become huge

Blocknet is a good one to stake right now. I'm also staking a small bag, including Tezos (which I got for cheap thankfully), and XLQ.

First of all, I would like to invest in projects that would give an unrealistic opportunity to receive dividends.  To date, there are very few such projects, but nevertheless we can mention such as Sparrow and Amanpuri.  Sparrow today has certain dividends to holders of tokens in bitcoin, ethereum and usdt.  Amanpuri is just starting to implement its project and we will still see what its prospects are and what are the Benefits for investors.

I don't like staking. This is another type of create bug holder system that many people may have already damaged. If you compare it with the crypto market, you will know which is more profitable. Because the profit that staking gives is very little, one coin more increase and decrease every month. If you trade in a good coin, more profit is possible.

I only believe in investment in btc, simply because i think almost the great majority of other cryptocurrencies are either scam or useless tokens without a real need, so they all have no future and investment in them is so risky.
If you look to hold in order to make benefits from ups and downs, then i recommend always bitcoin as the most volatile option to get benefit from. And if you look to make earnings from long term holding, then you also safe with bitcoin as it's growing by time and has a great potential to survive in the future .

I have nothing look other than Bitcoin and ETH. I've started to have them both for a long time and it never gives me disappointment even there is a time that the price drops so bad. We know the potentiality of these coins and it never changed.

There are a lot of things to consider in choosing a coin for investment, not only for its price but also it's market volume. There is no way to dig deeper or even look at the bottom list coz you'll find nothing out there. The good coin/s to invest is already on the top.

Of course we all knew how btc is a good for hold because of its famous or what but in terms of staking or let say reward for holding btc wouldnt have that since it utilized POW.

For me, I guess cosmos is one of the good project that has benefited staking. Many 3rd party app and even exchanges supported it. The price is pretty good entry also for now.

Ethereum is the highest "Return Of Investment" reached alternative cryptocurrency, According to coinmarketcap the current ROI of Ethereum is around 5975%, which is the 3rd most popular and used cryptocurrency, so there is no doubt that ETH is the most potential crypto for holding a long time. After ETH my 2nd choice is Ripple and LTC cause both of these coins have a good previous market history and both coins have a good market capitalizations, pumping can be happened at any moment.

XTZ is popular too among the profitable staking altcoins. I don't doubt the interest in the ETH and ERC20 altcoins because of the popularity. History repeats so ETH will hit the ATH in the next few years. As the popular cryptocurrency, it is not surprising to see ETH in list of preferred altcoins for holding a long time. Investors analyze market history and choose the best altcoins in terms of ROI.

besides, if we talk about potential, then ethereum has enormous potential to develop. I think the next bitcoin price increase will trigger ethereum prices to reach the $ 200 level. Well, it's only less than $ 30, and I think if the price of bitcoin is in the range of $ 7500 to $ 8000, I think the price of ethereum will approach or exceed the price of $ 200. it would be a good investment in my opinion

No doubt about this. Tezos is one of the most profitable coins to stake. Cosmos too not doing bad. With several bakers to choose from for Tezos stakers in AtomicWallet with all rewards coming directly from chosen bakers. I stake both Atom and Tezos in AtomicWallet. Loving my staking experience.

By far the main investment in my portfolio is Ethereum and bitcoin.  Other cryptocurrencies that I own in my opinion are at risk, but nonetheless I expect very good results from Christasist, cortex, kubitx, sportfix.
Bitcoin and ETH are good choices, but I don't understand why you are betting on those shitcoin? I have never even seen them in this market, if you have invested in it then I think you should sell them as soon as possible because the market now is not for shitcoin

I prefer hold coins over stake, because hold is more profitable. Price movements in the market are very volatile, this is what makes it hold
can be very profitable. Unlike a stake that provides very small income, but stake coins are relatively safe. I will hold ETH, LTC and XRP.
As for my stake, I will choose the XTZ and BNB tokens, because both of them are very appropriate as the tokens stake.

Really? I would say Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash or any other free fork or airdrop would make highest ROI because well, from 0 to a lot of value, is that not free money and huge ROI? Bitcoin plus all the forks make it highest ROI ever,,, right? ETH is ok but you had to invest in it first it did not come free.

Yes i don't believe in the future of the great majority of altcoins but am always interested in some great developpement (not to stake for profit) like Grin coin or Beam. Personally, I don’t even hope for close prospects to get any results from all my investments.  The cryptocurrency market is still in a low position and despite the activity of Bitcoin and Ethereum for several months, many cryptocurrencies have not recovered after the fall of 2018.  So you have to hope only for a long shelf life of all your assets, while projects sell their product and cryptocurrencies will be appreciated in the cryptocurrency market.

I also recommend it, but if you only have not so many assets, then I recommend altcoin, and that is ethereum. if you have assets under 1 bitcoin, you should choose altcoin, because the potential is greater than having bitcoin below 1 bitcoin. for example, if you have 20 ethereum right now, it would be great when the price could reach $ 300.

Looking for $300 is gonna be a long wait for it, imagine that we are still at $120.
Bitcoin is more volatile than of altcoins and this is the advantage for traders as they can easily move their money in and out. But if you are a long-term holder, may ETH suited for it or even Bitcoin can do as well. But I don't have guts to be a long-term trader and I preferred for a short-term trade that is why I choose a coin that is more volatile.

I personally prefer to trade daily, which is more effective for me personally with a small capital that is not suitable for choosing altcoin with stake / hold.
current price fluctuations are so large every day that nobody can predict so I better avoid holding for too long.
I am part time trader so beside trading i also interested to keep hold/stake for limited times. I am aganist of long term stake. I can't spend time for the daily trade it’s hard for me. I want to mention few specific coins these(btc, bnb, eth) can be store to the long term investment, though bnb and eth is big collapsed yet. But i never go to stake/hold for a new project.

I joined from the pre-sale and as a result, I've made about 8 times the profit and I'm still getting my distributions every day.

Now, due to the mismanagement of the exchange, there are fewer users and their distributions are much smaller, but I have never had a non-dividend, so I have bought more tokens with peace of mind.

So I have high hopes for this AMANPURI as well.

There are so many projects you can hold right now. I've got some NEO (Just in case it takes off again), some Tezos, and some Bitshares.

Lately also accumulated Blocknet, which I believe has an amazing upside potential due to their passive income opportunities, consisting off:

Staking, DEX fee's, Oracle Fee's, and fee's from their improved Infura solution. Scarse supply, and with on-going development, this one is a true winner in my book.

If I were to invest in a long-term token / alts, I would choose BAT. it has a moderate capitalization and when bulls run it can grow to about x5 or x10. One of my favorite things about BAT is that they have a great search platform. When experiencing Brave, I felt like this was a new world and it was really great at security. and it also fits my investment criteria, which is creating real value for society. Brave is doing very well and marketing is very good, so it will definitely be a good alts for long-term investment.

Energi coin (nrg) masternode. Strong fundamentals and community. A thorough project run by the team with its core concept on wealth creation. I make a little less than 200USD monthly on my stake. Of course one of the best ways to make money in cryptocurrency is through staking coins. I have done staking since 2018, my favorite coins
for staking are BNB and OKB. Both are very profitable, what is needed in staking is patience. Without patience all will be in vain, and therefore
in choosing coins or tokens for staking must do an analysis and research. So it will not lose when staking coins. For tezos a good choice for
staked, but for cosmos is not a profitable token for staking.

Rather than energi and it's better to take dash to run the masternode. The liquidity of energi is not so big as dash and that will affect the potential of coin to grow. More liquidity and more guarantee. it's better to go to the dash rather than energi caused by it offers more guarantee than energi.

maybe if we talk about which coins we think will have advantages in the future and we must hold on to my choice in Btc and ethereum. even though we all know, if the current economic situation is very difficult, causing the price of the coin to be drastically down. but on the other hand, this is the right time to invest in these coins.
Yes indeed if we are talking about getting profit, we must choose top altcoin as you mentioned BTC or ETH, also BNB. But no doubt if we think to invest in any coins, BTC is the first choice. Cause of some problems prices are so down as you said, and maybe it is a chance to collect some coins which can give us a good profit in the future. An economic situation shouldn't be an excuse which doesn't let us go forward towards financial freedom, there will be other opportunities as well. HODLing is the key to financial freedom with the crypto industry.

I am staking tron on trust wallet and few months back I started staking RDD coins but right now its value halved hope it may bounce back to 100 satoshi levels so that I may see some decent profits. Other than these two I was in plan to start a masternode for bitsend but its value drastically have fallen down but still I am watching it out to get into for a node to be set out. If anyone having any update on bitsend, that would be more helpful to me.

I am also in plan to buy and stake ETH once they will be releasing their 2.0 version. It is just a plan and I may need to re-evaluate based on its profitability. After ETH, I often thinking about waves and its leasing features but not sure how effective it would be in terms of ROI.

Does ADA have staking feature?

I really like tezos (XTZ), because in 2020 XTZ is very profitable. So it's a good choice to choose XTZ as the best staking token.
If we want to make XTZ staking, it can be done on a binance exchange with a minimum holding of 1 XTZ, and an estimated annual
yield of around 7%. And other tokens that are my consideration for staking are KAVA and Tron.

Is profitable or will be profitable cause we're still in the Q2 of the year 2020 and it too early to conclude about the historical record of XTZ.
With that been said, NRG prove to be the most equipped, innovative and potential stake coin in the market and i will advice the OP to choose it rather than other manipulated coin/token. In the meantime, ETH is also another best option if the ETH2.0 is complete.

I started accumulated Blocknet though, since the project allows for multiple income streams due to their passive income opportunities, consisting off:

Staking, DEX fee's, Oracle Fee's, and fee's from their improved Infura solution. Scarce supply, and with on-going development, this one is a true gem.

Recommendation is indeed in this matter as many of us believe in Holding and thats why we encourage many of people
around us to invest as well .

Asking what would be the best coin?then it is not altcoin but Bitcoin of course because nothing safer than putting
money in powerful cryptocurrency like Bitcoin.

But in regards to altcoin and which site?nope just buy good altcoins in top 10-20 and be ready to held them in your
position for at least year or more thats the only way you cans ave your
 self from losing big.

But never forget that here in volatile market everything is possible,to earn or to lose so make sure that you know the
risk and blaming no one in time that bad things happen.

To make a profit, you need to invest and hold the top coins, because they will always be safer to invest and they will always be promising, only you need to constantly analyze the top coins.

I do this. honestly, I've been holding some top altcoin in the long run. so far, I am still waiting for large upside potential, to sell at the right time. bitcoin, ethereum, BNB, are the first choice before investing in other tokens. I'm sure many people have plans like this...

and don't forget to always read the news about the development of the coins you buy so as not to miss a moment where prices rise and fall, sometimes there are people who always ignore it and finally they have to wait very long to get a profit

If you believe with that project, you should hold that tokens, and add more amount so you can get many rewards. I don't have much experience in staking coin or token, but I think that can give you profitable in the long term. I believe there are many more coins or tokens that you can use for staking, but I don't know how much the rewards. I always dream about staking DASH because the profit is big than the other coin but to have many DASH before stake needs much money.

Staking is currently the new oil. Your choices of coins are great.  Most especially Tezos staking I have read some interesting facts about Tezos staking and I think it's one of the very few coins with profitable stakes.
