Title: Starting point projects. Are they worth the hype?
Post by: Paulinerims on April 06, 2020, 02:34:30 PM
Hey, what do you think about the projects that serve as the starting point for new people in crypto? Given the projections and everything "fingers crossed" we will soon experience a new bull run like we did 2017. At that time there were numerous people just blindly throwing money into crypto because it was booming.

So are the tokens of projects (lets, for example, say Newscrypto.io that has a school program, predefined charts and simple market indicators) worth a look into?
All this project have a good utility for beginners, but will people use them or just FOMO throw money into btc? What are your predictions on this, would you start on Newscrypto or just straight to the exchange/broker/whatever.

There are many things to consider in a new project and that is the product or rather use case, if it is truly developed. People will only use what they have seen that is working and that's it, if it aren't working but have a good hype which is likely to give good returns then they won't mind to fomo. Having a good use case really matters and this is where most projects gets it wrong, they might present an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) as they mostly do before seeking for funding but do they really continue developing afterwards? If really they do ( although only few really continues), there would be many projects today worth using. So in essence, crypto this year is different from crypto in 2017, people are wise now and not ready to blindly throw money anywhere, it is either there is hype or there is something worthwhile about the project.

Nope not all new projects are worth giving a shot, many are plain bad not because we are in a bad time but because the team behind these so called new projects are all dubious, you have to be extra careful when trying to find a new project to invest money on, I'd say it's better to go for old coins

Crypto world of 2020 is clearly different from crypto 2017, now many things have change, new projects hardly become successful, that's no good at all, it means you can easily lose money here, I recommend doing very good research on any new project first, coins like Bitcoin, binance coin, litecoin, dash are just way safer

No, it wouldn't be the same as 2017.

The hype was gone and it will never return like it used to happen. People will no longer invest to various projects knowing that they can be a scam. Everyone is wise the second time around and if there will be another bull run then it will make crypto the way it used to be adopted.

There's no need for such hypes like those projects anymore.

Currently many things have changed compared to 2017, investors have been more cautious when investing in new projects.
I think in 2020 the market will have good growth, but new projects are difficult to achieve success. I think it's best to invest in the top 50 currencies on the market.

A lot has happened between 2017 and now, I guess many have learnt their lesson and are more wiser now. Many are ready to search and make the right choice by themselves now rather than look at one platform for suggestion.

I think most people just hear it from others lets say from their froends that btc is booming and they are making huge profits and it is like unstoppable and everyday we see a new high price etc i think these are the things that lure people into investing and cause fomo in people, people think it is just too easy to make money and thats when btc really pumps and makes a big peak and then finally reversal that kills all the fomo and people turn great profits into loss.

I am sure that new investors will not invest in such projects because during the next bull market, very smart investors will come to us and they will choose projects very carefully. stupid investors will just exit the market in the next half year.

At this time, it might be harder for us to state that a project is worth it or not. Each new project certainly offers various advantages of the project to attract new investors, especially those who are really new. And they are indeed easy targets to achieve, especially when there is already a FOMO and is affected by just hype. Of course, this is one of the goals of the project developer to get the investors.
In this case, it is currently difficult to find projects that are worth it like 2017. And we must be more careful and smart in choosing which ones are truly legit.

Depending on each person, sometimes some people only understand after practice, and some people have to read theory or practice before jumping into real practice, I think learning platforms like NewsCrypto are not a bad thing.

I guess people will only use cryptoqurrency only as a form of investment and nothing more. I mean this, when the crypto industry booms in 2017 we can see that many investors are flocking to take part in this section because they know that crypto is very profitable for investment especially like BTC.

As long as their idea still makes sense and it's worth to take a look but when you are not seeing a good result from the development progress and you should try to avoid such project as soon as possible. I will never try t start a new non sense project called newscrypto. Just stick to the existing project is enough.

Personally I’m not buying any new projects because of the market situation and I have to be faithful on the top coins because we need to earn money. New projects are now worth it especially if its only a hype because for me, if there’s a big hype on a new project then it must be a scam project later on.

Remains to be seen if we are going to see another explosive year similar to 2017.

Every project is good in the beginning, that's what supposed to be a project is, bring more hype. But the problem is sustainability, will it move further after the initial hype? We have seen a lot of project in 2018-2020 that didn't survived in the bear market even though the project is really that good. I don't want to draw conclusions right now but it could go as the same path as others, just saying

I don't think what happened in bull run 2017-2018 will happen again which most of the shitcoins pumped, but if we will ever see again a bull run, it will be different from before.
I think one of the reason of bullrun before or some crazy pumps are the ERC20 of ethereum, crazy ICO, most of the ICO are built in the Ethereum's ERC20.
I'll much looking forward for some kind of project which can help the finance, like decentralised finance (DEFI).

It is not that easy to trust and use the newly created project especially if we want to secure our hard earned money as newly project can easily turned out to scam if they want to. There are many source of information that we can search to if we want but the problem is whether it can be trusted or not, but if newscrypto can prove it's data 100% genuine then it is worth a try.

The main problem of starting projects are trust to it's users but if they can manage to build it then time will come that they will become a good competitor to the existing platform that offers almost the same services.

Any projects is recommended to look into but when it comes to investing and supporting you have to dig deep, it's hard to take a chance  now, when market is not in a good condition and people are saving for uncertainties of our times, unless the words condition and the market improves, I don't think even a hype can generate new projects a decent funding.

Many project first running never have planning for hype although they are an coin, after running several weeks later many change procedure from their project working like VIDY coin, first time an usually coin but running several months they have change with hype project by giving several percent for each holder.

Listening to people's advice or reading news about crypto education is good to add insight so that you can make well decision or reduce losses due to buying or investing in a project without studying it, but I do it only as an additional consideration only the final decision remains with me, so don't 100% considers what is being conveyed as a suggestion that must be done.

After the boom of 2017 we did see 2018 and noticed how projects were failing to generate minimise amount. Things have changed a lot  and it's been three years now, people think twice before investing into a new project.

You need to establish the use case of any project and understand which sector is benefitting from the said project. My experience says Blockchain based platform projects are good to invest.

In 2020 many projects might fail even though the crypto hype is back up because investors will rethink their investments. And now most of them turn to crypto investments that have been list at coinmarketcap which are ranked the best (1-100). I prefer projects that are already running compared to those that are launching IEO/ICO.

Most likely those new projects aim to acquire btc and major crypto through funding. 2020 projects are not that gain so much impression provided that the previous projects are all have history with scams. That is unfortunate actually for investors that are keep investing on these types of project.

Failure projects are more than success one. Why? Because they dont have the capacity to launch and develop yet they are still pursuing to have one. You can feel if the project is really good or at least the team is sincere in working out on their platform.

Do not hype any new projects because you can never tell how they will end up, new projects are too tricky this days, the least ones you don't expect to survive can be the successful project among others

I wouldn't at this point of time, it's no use to hype any coin because people are to busy meet their needs, so many countries are in lock down, which means no job no work no salary no income, so instead of investing they will try to meet their needs, there will be a time that we can all come back to the market, although the market looks good now.

New projects fails easily this days that's why you shouldn't bet on them, if you aren't so sure after doing your own research you should invest only what you can afford to lose, just in case anything goes wrong

Worth or not is dependent on how you can collect as much information about them, so you will conclude that their project is worth to invest. If they cannot give the information that you needed, then don't even think to invest with them because they cannot explain the details of their projects. The new type of project will come out, and that will be different than the old project that we knew because the old-type of the project is over and it will replace by the new one. But the problem is we don't know what kind of that project, and we are waiting for something new soon.

If I were be in such dilemma I might (only a possibility) give a try on such project only if I'll be satisfied with necessary details I want to validate. Well, 2017 is entirely different with 2020, people learned and so the project is or groups/teams who make those stuff. Beside I won't give even a small amount of care just because the project really look damn good while I don't satisfied my thoughts otherwise I will throw my money in BTCs.

I think people would start to learn a lesson and not so blindly throw money at every single project like they were before, in the bullrun of 2017. If we are growing older then the average reception of poeple and what they cosider good enough. They are changing, for better.

I think every new project in crypto currency starts from the basement which is the starting point; either Newscrypto, or iagon or any crypto currency project.

When it comes to hype, all projects are worth the hype; it helps the product and the token, and it boost the projects chances of success too. but if the project has nothing tangible to offer for adoption, it will end up dying or exit scamming.

Obviously the projects listed at coinmarketcap are a lot better than new projects at the moment. And investors have learned from many previous times, they are only interested in leading projects in this market because those projects are not scams. They lost so much money investing in new projects so they got scared and ignored it

Market condition is completely opposite when we compare it with 2017, so you can invest on new project but you need to have enough patience to get the results if you will get frustated due to the dump due to the market condition will result in panic selling and complete loss for you.

I can't expect the same bull run anymore like 2017! That time crypto has lots of positive news, ideas, startup projects! Almost every altcoins gained up! But right now if Bitcoin price hits 20K USD, I don't think altcoins will have the same growth except for some!  However, I don't see any hype for Bitcoin bull run neither for newscrypto! Everyone is passing a bad time because of COVID-19 pandemic! Newscrypto looks a good deal, but I won't invest in it until I see some major developments!

Numerous projects are out there with so many utilities and trying to focus on new one will only make us have duplicate when we could have embraced a project that has that utility.
It's 2020 and we shouldn't expect any bull run like 2017 because there's no pandemic like this one back then. What should be hoped for right now is stability and slow growth.

What you have to understand is many things has changed since 2017, most people are no longer gullible as before, most have changed their mindset entirely, most now go for major coins, most now participate in IEOs in top exchanges and list goes on; this is to show you that a good number of people can't blindly throw money again as it were in 2017. Nowadays, due diligence is the hallmark of everything, therefore until there are good results from the team hardly will anyone invest in any kind of project.
