Some exchanges listed there as top may have never been hacked yet but you can never use any of them confidently. They probably upgrade their security every now and then but they remain as a target for hackers. They are all centralized exchanges and they are like sitting ducks waiting to be shot.

Yes, we have to adopt the decentralized exchanges but there is many limitations when using the dexes for regular trading. In this case, we have to go to the best-centralized exchanges for a particular purpose.

Currently, Coinbase and Bittrex are no longer secure. Bittrex is having very low volume and is showing signs of release from the management team, they seem to have no recent events. It looks like they are about to let go of it and create something new. As for Coinbase, only Americans should use it, in addition, we should not use it. There have been many cases of account lockout for no reason and no one to support to get back the account. so consider, only Houbi Global or Binance should be selected. Their capitalization is gradually increasing and trade demand is increasing in Chinese exchanges.

No, the amount hacked on Binance was never recovered. They just returned the funds to traders from their Secured Asset Fund for Users a.k.a "SAFU fund" which is like insurance fund in case the exchange security fails. CZ even tried to push for a rollback on the Bitcoin network to try to recover the stolen Btc's and to save his face but he later retracted.

Why tell you tell that "Currently, Coinbase and Bittrex are no longer secure". What is the point here?

Although they failed to recover their fund but it's a positive sign that traders hadn't effected due to hack. We know it's not possible to get back bitcoin when it has confirmed and that's why bitcoin is most popular. But unfortunately this is the best opportunity for hackers as well. I believe all centralized exchange should follow Binance regardin secure fund of traders and their fund shouldn't effected due to hack.

To be honest any online system isn't safe on the internet. Even FBI website has been hacked multiple time if you know history. So exchanges would be victim of hackers. Hackers also use latest technologies to break security systems. But they are best exchange who recover traders fund somehow either insurance or by any other sources.

Sure not all sites are good for exchanges There are many exchange sites in Crypto that will not be called off but currently the number of scams has increased so the best sites are Exchange Coinbase Bittrex Binance the three most reliable and many Popular.

I think it's wiser never to really on any exchange even if they upgrade their security from time to time, anything can happen to them, remember that scammers or hackers will always find a weak spot to breach these exchanges

It is so many times that I've read threads similar to this.

But anyway, I have to give some hints for newcomers and those wanting to become a trader.
*Choosing a reputable trading platform is a good idea and vital thing to do before we start trading but this will never give assurance the safety of your funds and your wallet nor it makes you profitable. These things may matter of what you do and what you are doing with your trades.

I think only Bittrex is insecure because this exchange has very low trading volume and recently a lot of investors have been locked out of their accounts for unknown reasons.

I have not deposited money on this exchange since they were forced KYC users and this exchange has a lot of shitcoin that puts you at a great risk. I am currently using Okex as this is a very fast growing exchange and is among the best exchanges in the crypto market.

Binance. Binance all the way for me, think about it this website got 40 million dollars stolen and they paid all of it from their own pockets so that you wouldn't have any troubles. I would trust any exchange that has that type of profit, this doesn't only tell you that you are going to get your money back even if their hot wallet gets hacked all of a sudden, but it also tells you that SO MANY people are using it that they have made enough profits to pay 40 million dollars to continue operations like nothing happened.

There is really no way I am not going to trust binance when it comes to security and success. Plus it is a draw to trade at where everyone else is trading as well and we all know binance is definitely the biggest altcoin exchange out there.

I find that many people choose Binance as the best exchange today, I agree. But never run out of money on Binance. Because this crypto market can happen anything, the Binance exchange is a private enterprise and only CZ is the first. If scam, that would be easy. so people need to be careful and split money into many reputable exchanges. such as Huobi Global, Bitstamp, ... it is still very low fee exchanges and quite large volume.

If Binance is so secured, safe and is able to cover all losses from their SAFU fund, all the time "tries to invent" something new to cryptocurrency community, have highest numbers of daily/monthly volume, don't you think they one day can become greedy and vanish? As it said - "every person has a price". And once something is achieved they could easily vanish like Mt.Gox ? It is still clearly unknown where they are registered and in which jurisdiction they work :)

Currently the binance is the top crypto currency exchange. You can trade in binance. Because there is good liquidity in binance, you can easily sell and buy big amounts. But no exchange is safe. The exchange will only be used for trading. Never hold your fund on the exchange. Exchange owner can do any kind of drama at any time. So it's good to be careful.

I see you have Coinbase right at the top... However, if people are thinking of using this platform they should at least be made aware that the support is limited to bots responses. This has already raised concerns among some users who tried registering without success since their accounts couldn't be verified due to the lack of manpower. I agree with you. Agree is currently one of the best (if not the best) exchanges for altcoin trading. It features plenty of liquidity and they've been around for a while now. Although a lot of people might feel otherwise but it doesn't change tjat fact. When Binance was hacked, they compensated users from their funds. I mean – nobody literally lost during the hack. Since then, I'm sure they've beefed up security. That aside, centralized exchange should mainly be used for trading purposes and not storing funds.  How to increase security?

1. Activate both SMS and Google Auth.
2. Don't use APIs (even though it's safe to use).

I agree, Binance is my #1 too because it offers the lowest trading fees and huge number of altcoins, futures and margin trading, the best liquidity, no KYC needed to withdraw up to 2 btc. I hope Binance will hold the leading status in crypto exchanges in future.

So it lead us to think that no one is really safe, no security features are good because hackers are simply one step of the game. As far as best exchanges, regardless if it is DEX or CEX, we just need to be careful and practice sound security measures like not putting all your eggs in one basket, specially in exchanges.

For those listed on it, I would personally say that Binance should be on top of my list, no hassle in so far as trading experience. Changelly as well, I used them before and so it OKex for about a month and CEX.io when I try to purchase bitcoin through credit card in 2018.

But I guess everyone here could have different user experience, maybe good on my end might be awful on other people. So I would say that we should experience a little and see what exchanges are going to be good on us and not just rely on reviews.

In my opinion all exchanges are good till they fulfill your requirements. I do not label any exchange depending on the security of volume. For me my local exchanges are far much better than all the listed names here.

But some time I do not need to trade on one of these exchanges as some local exchange might not have the cryptocurrency I need to trade.

So for trading purpose any exchange is good as long as it serves your purpose.

Yeah coinbase will providing all of services for the specific region, a lot of north american countries got advantages buy/sell/convert. But mostly can use for keep store coinbase listed altcoins. Even they can use debit card as a payment method. Is the Penance are local stock exchange? I see the major exchange binance given refunded when it’s hacked. But it’s never possible to manage for the overall centralized exchanges.                            

It is not easy to say which is the best crypto exchange because we will have a different exchange that we used to trade. But we might agree to say that Binance is the biggest crypto exchange so far, and many of us used Binance to trade and make a profit. And Binance also provides a free KYC for their members who don't want to send their documents, but their account will get a limit for withdrawal. I think that will not be a problem for people who are trying to make a profit because they can still withdraw the profit every day.

I sue global exchange market for trading and selling my coin reward from bounty campaign and use my local exchange only for cashing out my coin to be cash money, always trade with global exchange market like bittrex, binance and gate io, some time with some exchange market depend which one my coin listed.

Binance is keeping their platform on the trend and almost of crypto holders prefer Binance in the top of their list. Binance continue to provide a no hassle and easy transaction to its users. I also use binance for long time since it's launch and other crypto exchange in the list is Kucoin and Bittrex. I think there will be more features will be give to its users to their upcoming updates since binance already acquired CMC.

Maybe the user who listed those is interested more in coinbase than other exchanges. Maybe the user is using coinbase from the start in the crypto world. If Im choosing one I will pick the one and only BINANCE exchange I know and we know that since this exchange site operate many traders transfer or move to this.  But they still a lot of good exchange right now in our market but binance is very unique to them so thats why it is most recommended by the trader. Among your list, i must say i prefer Binance exchange reason being it's the best and the most trusted exchange in the whole cryptocurrency market. When talking about best exchanges, people always talk down binance because of the hack that happened. Left to me, i'd say security breach is prevalent among cryptocurrency exchanges and i think that is the aspect every exchanges have to work towards inorder to leave no loopholes for hackers to prey on. When it comes to volume, liquidity, and intuitive features, i have to give it to binance. Although there are other great exchanges and your list comprises most of them

It's not just about security here. Many more problems are faced by different traders. Many times there are various problems in the account, which can be solved without much hassle. Honestly, when the whole system gets hacked, the security of your account will not keep your funds safe. The binance has returned the customer's funds, which is a good thing. But it also proves that binance can be hacked at any time. What if the amount of hack is greater than binance's insurance fund? That is why it is best to withdraw funds after trading.

While I won't argue the fact that Binance is hack proof, I think it's safe to say that no exchange's security is 100% hack-proof. We also can't deny that some exchanges are more easier to hack compared to others. Keeping funds in centralized exchanges  has always been frowned upon in the crypto community.  Also, a lot can go wrong even if one just uses Binance for just trading and their own wallet for storage with private keys.

I've got Bittrex and Kucoin before but Binance has been in the existence and competing against the others which seems to be on the top now. Thought about the OP's list are good exchanges, though we can hear some complaints and I think it was a normal thing to happen in all exchanges. We are not in perfection and even the mistakes of the other person could be blamed directly to the team. But anyway, it all been of different judgment, some say this one is good but some say also this is best. We can draw any conclusion if we don't try to use them.

In my opinion this is a exchange with huge financial resources and certainly this exchange will always be the number one exchange in this market. I daytraded before in Binance, and it is kinda nice to start with that exchange although there are limitations to 1 BTC per day to withdraw if you didn't submit KYC documents.
I ain't a big trader so I don't think I would need that anyway. I used Coinbase before and I wasn't able to buy Bitcoin that day because first I don't have any credit card and second it wasn't yet supporting our country but from the feedbacks of it, it seems a good exchange to buy BTC.

Binance now offers a lot of payment options for investors and you don't need to use other exchanges because for me Binance is more than enough for the rest. Of course, you can use as many exchanges as you like but the liquidity at Binance is always very good and never makes me nervous. Well, when we say best crypto exchange it means the platform itself is giving us a good earnings every time we do trade in the exchange, isn't right? Currently, the best exchange in my own idea is Binance. But unfortunately, even they won't let you trade without of KYC on high amount on coins.
I would say If you are always going with low amount of coins go for Binance. However, I have some report from users with locked/closed accounts because Binance asked them to pass the KYC before withdraw.

As expected, most of you guys would really answer Binance because it performed well last year. The KYC procedure is done for the exchange to let them know your real intention, you can't just trade a million with them just knowing your email. Binance is great, yes, but coinbase has a lot more with practicality because of the deposit methods, aside coinbase has a lot of key partners like Visa and barclays that supports the depositing methods with fiat currency. Also I want to mention the BitMex I've traded on it quite a lot and so far I got what I got with the same exchange, Binance and Coinbase.

It seems to look that most traders are likely to use Binance. Well, we can't deny that and how they'll turn back to their clients. everyone has their own place in trading. yeah, almost all of the places that you mentioned I've tried. after all, I chose binance. it's just that I prefer to trade in the local market. but for international, I choose binance. it's the most comfortable trading place that I feel.

There are a lot of crypto exchange that you can use and one of these is the coinbase I will make it bias because it is took a long time that I used the coinbade also they have an application that is more convenient on me to make more updated about the market price of the bitcoin. The "BEST" Exchange is decentralized if you ask me. As someone who cares about my privacy, and someone who DO NOT trust exchanges, I'm playing around with DEX's, and while the volume is low I still make a few decen trades here and there.

Blocknet is my absolute favorite, and their volume sometimes spikes to above $100k daily, some large trades are happening out of the blue sometimes, haha!

For a normal investor, there is no need for KYC because this exchange still allows the investor to withdraw a minimum amount of money and do not have any problems with me. I only invest in some altcoins for small amounts so maybe KYC is not necessary for me. However, if you want to join the IEO of this exchange, you need to complete KYC and this is the reason why so many investors can not participate.

That's always gonna be the case in most of the known exchange. There are always a minimum amount of transactions per day to avoid the KYC verification.
KYC on the other hand was set to protect the person's account under the exchanges' hand, specially when doing huge amount of transactions.
But, also be careful with the exchanges who don't offer KYC verification regardless of the amount of transaction, that exchange might be doing selective scamming.

Coinbase , bittrex and binace id what I used but I only use right now is binance , in your list I suggested To add more crypto exchange to make trader easy to choose where they trade . Coinbase is my wallet that I use but I can trade my coins on this because it is only supported by the other countries not mh countries. Best exchange have many coin listed for trading and always faster for deposit and withdraw, but if get any exchange have difficult for withdrawing and deposit I think many trader not interested for trade with their exchange. From the list you made, I have never used Changelly or other instant crypto swaps, but in my opinion the best for now is binance. Maybe before binance was released I often used bittrex to sell or buy crypto because at that time it was probably the most familiar bittrex among the crypto community.

I totally agree, binance and kucoin has been known by the big traders for a while now and they are used the most among the people who knows what they are doing and what they are expecting from a place. They have amazing volume as well so it makes things a lot easier, I personally use binance but I have heard awesome stuff about kucoin from the friends who use it as well so I like that too. If something were to happen to binance kucoin will be the place I move to.

Huge volume does signify or does reflect on what level the reputation of a certain site.If there are lots of users then it will automatically checked out

Exactly, these exchange are my favourite cryptocurrency exchange and have been using them for years now without any issues. Though there are little challenges amount their fees sometimes. My altcoins trading are done on these platforms which I see as the best among all.

But Coinbase cannot be used by everyone in the crypto market. They only use it for Americans and some countries where Coinbase is based. In addition, if we are found to use fake IP, our account will be locked and our money will be lost forever. There will be no reports or any help from them! Therefore, from now on, non-US citizens should stay away from Coinbase. We have better exchanges, namely Binance, Huobi Global. They have huge reserve funds and transaction fees are quite cheap and we have many options when trading.

Real volume is something we may never really know about. Some people think that binance has real volume but the reality is the only thing they can guarantee right now is the fact that binance may not be doing fake volume themselves. That is not really all that important if binance is not faking their own volume to look higher because when you look at the smaller coins there are ones who are not getting any attention at all and in order to avoid getting delisted there are tons of project managers who are throwing money away at binance trading fees and buying/selling between spread so that their own volume would look higher.

Everybody with different opinion, different choices and different reasons meanwhile majority of people claim Binance is currently the best base on volume but there are few things that should be taken into consideration while naming the best exchange.

That's what traders used to do so, but I think every strategy seems to be common on all aspects. There's no limits on how we're going to handle each trading approach, because every decisions needs specific timeline to catch profit in the long run. Problems is always there to challenge us, so don't give up and always be strong enough to move forward beyond expectations.

Base on my experience right now I haven't encountered any error with my favorite trading exchange which is the binance because it's easier to deposit and withdraw without any error and also I make a trade with the use of bitcoin and usdt too with the binance with spots and margin trading to have more profit.

Binance is a really good exchange if not, of them all, this is the one that was recommended to me by a friend of mine so I gave it a try although I do not frequently trade, there is still some problems with the best exchange there is, one thing is that it has a very difficult webpage to navigate for a newbie like me, so I have to learn the ins and outs of the website, I am learning btw but I still find it their least attractive trait as an exchange, the other problem is that my email is bombarded by Binance related emails that I have no use for and I am too lazy to mark everything to spam. Too bad that Coinbase is banned in your country, if I may can I ask for the reason that it is banned.

I also recommend Binance as the best crypto exchange until now. If we look at the statistics Binance has a huge advantage over other exchanges.

I will personally recommend binance have been using binance for the past few years now, seriously have tried other exchange and I think binance is one of the best exchange in terms of everything. in terms or security I have no doubt in binance, I think they just got hack last last year but they manage to remove that in just a couple of hours, I think that exchanges oftentimes got some ddos or some intruders so a high quality tech team must be hired and as what we can see binance has it, it become one of the most powerful exchanges in the world and also on the top list of everyone. I am not sure about others but for me Binance is the best crypto exchange ever. The thing I like most about this exchange is that you pay very low fees as compare to other exchanges and its trading interface is also of top quality. Other than Binance exchanges like Bittrex, Bitfinex are also of some good quality if you ask me. However, I recommend everyone to go for Binance, its the best.

The best crypto exchange for me is Binance. I only choose a trading platform based on the scale of trading volume which is Binance is the leading one. Next is the security, so far I haven't encountered any problem upon using it but I do read recently some issue with it but anyway I think we all gonna be fine as long as we don't use the trading platform to store our stash. I also based on the popularity of the platform because technically the more popular it is the more volume the platform has. Besides, I don't know if other exchanges have this but I do like future trades on Binance, it is very interesting.

It's a good source of information especially to newbie that don't know on what exchange to use but I saw some negative response to Changelly recently but I am not so sure if their accusation has been fixed already or not so you should be careful in using that exchange if possible.

As I also encounter some delays of my exchange in that platform even if it is not that big, they still take almost a week before they were able to complete my swap. For trading, Binance is good as I have a good experience in using it and there were no problems so far with regards to my deposit and withdrawal in their platform.
