Title: Lockdown depression :(
Post by: iamsheikhadil on April 24, 2020, 06:31:39 PM
Is anyone having depression because of Lockdown?

I am having a really sad mood all the time and also scared of nothing many a times. I also am very much addicted to anti anxiety pills (prescribed) and during lockdown I have to take double to suppress it down. I dont go outdoors much even before lockdown but the little I did has stopped. College has stopped. Nothing feels good.

You need someone to talk to about your worries. Open up to your family and be honest of what you've been going through even before this lockdown happened.

We're having diffuculties during this time but we need to stay positive in order to overcome depression.

This is sound advice, just talking about it will help. We don't know you well enough to give anything other than very vague and generally useful advice though. Just know that its understandable and normal, you shouldn't be embarrassed in the slightest, you're stressed out from the situation and it makes anxiety and depression more likely to happen even for people that've never dealt with it before.

Keep in mind, the lockdown and your depression are all temporary things, I know it sucks but at some date in the future you'll look back and realize that everything was fine. Just keep in mind that chances are good you are not in any sort of danger. The lockdown is about doing your part to help others that statistically might not be so lucky. If you're not in a high risk category, if you happened to get it, it'd likely just be a long lasting shitty cold.

I'm sorry with what you are experiencing, are you alone?

I think the pills that you are taking also give you the side effect with adds more feeling of being depressed while we're on lockdown. Cheer up, everything is going to be fine as soon as there's a vaccine.

Look to play for computer games, watch movies, or any leisure that can make you happy to lessen the depression you're feeling. I'm wishing you well and we will survive this crisis.

It's okay not to be okay mate! Just move at your own pace and take your time to heal. Also, as lienfaye said,
You need someone to talk to about your worries. Open up to your family
or is your family one of the reasons why you're feeling that way? If it is, try talking to strangers, there are lots of online chatrooms or sites you can seek online help with. Just talking to someone that you can share your thoughts with without bias can be a lot of help. It worked like a charm for me, if you  want someone who'll listen to you without all the hassle send me a message, maybe I can help. Best regards mate!

Since you already have anxiety problem and take pills for that, you may feel depression more than the rest of the people. I think you should find some other ways to keep yourself busy, probably try to find new friends online or join the chatting sites and share your views online. But first you can also spend some time with your family members but it depends upon how much frank you're with them.

Being alone is not really the problem but how we spend the time when we are alone matters. If we keep scrolling internet all the day then surely we will get depressed so keep changing the things too often so you won't stick with anything for too long so you will never get bored and depressed.

There are a lot of things to do in order to feel better.
If you want company in those days you can arrange calls with your friends or family every day. This would make you feel less alone and will make you feel happier.
Also you can learn a new skill hobby and do what you like to do in order to spend your time creatively.

I'm glad to hear that. Because whenever someone is struggling with depression, it's a serious matter and it makes everyone worry.

Yes, we'll overcome this pandemic soon and it's just a matter of time and while we are at our homes, enjoy it.

I used to be depressed too, even though I usually eat healthy and exercise often.
I think hopelessness, sin and what we feed our minds with usually create the depression.
I repented, refocused on one true GOD (eat more healthy too), guard my mind, and every form depression or anxiety ceased completely.
I honestly wish you all the best and good things of life.

I think I don't feel depressed because I am enjoying my time while in the lockdown in my city. I think you need to calm down for a while and believe that this moment will not stay for a long time. Remember that it will be end soon, and you don't need to feel depressed. We all have this experience at this moment, but we need to calm ourselves down so we can think clearly about what we need to do this time. Maybe you need to go out of your homes but don't go to the public area. You can go out in your yard, and feel the air, have a cup of coffee in the yard while you can talk to yourself that you are so lucky now because you can survive so far, and you can survive until this is over.

You are not alone but it is the same for all of us, even i have seen reports of marriages being broken and severe fights between family members as well, so things are not looking good because staying home is tough and stress levels seem to be high because everyone is forced to stay inside all the time. I just hope and pray that the next month will bring the good news of the defeat of corona virus from all over the world.

Please find someone to talk to. Anxiety is normal during this uncertain, very unusual time.  Maybe speak with whoever prescribed your meds if you feel you are needing to use more. Meditation is quite helpful, it has been for me anyway. This is all new for everyone, you aren't alone.

Find something to do while on lockdown, watch your favorite tv shows, movies, anime or cartoons. Remember this, whoever you are I am here for you, don't be sad because we are in this together, no matter how dark the path is there will be a light that will be at the end, do not let the darkness swallow you, people are struggling like you too and they are helping one another, go to reddit for the lols. Talk to your loved ones and the people you see as important and it is okay to be sad but do not let it linger for long, optimism comes a long way.

Pray always, it helps definitely. And talk to your family members. Get yourself busy with a lot of movies online, do Netflix, exercise indoors, learn how to cook, learn how to play new instrument. A lot of things can be done during this lockdown period which can take much of your time.

I agree with other people, It's the best time for lerning new skills. Like me, I started to improve a lot the last time. Because of the quarantine, I can easily spend more time reading, and that's great. If you are interested, I can recommend a good site that helped me https://raisetwice.com (https://raisetwice.com). It helped me start doing sport, learn more, and gave me an invaluable experience. At least right now, I know how and when I can start traveling after the lockout. I think you should check the travel tips for sure, and also try to check out articles on the books.
It pushed me to start reading more and learning other languages. So I think it's a good idea for you, if you want to motivate yourself =)

Aside from that, have you tried doing household chores like cleaning, cooking a new recipe, fix broken things and many others? Make yourself busy even with small things. Try to clean your pantry, your bedroom - check and clean all four corners of your room. Segregate and discard all unimportant things. Talk to your family or friends. Read books/ebooks. Play online games. There's so much things to do. I don't know exactly the condition or situation of the OP but try to see positive things with this lockdown.

Working online-only assist you to overcome frustration but also a financial crisis we will earn some money by working online and but the longer term.

It is really good to have someone from your family to talk to, because you have no hesitations whatever on what you can say. Like there's no filter because he/she is your family. Also, if you really feel depressed even after talking with your family, just think of other people that have problems even getting their basic needs. And if you have those basic needs met, why would you complain in this life, right?

Lockdown is going on in the country. In the name of home quarantine during coronavirus, uncertain future and uncertainty of livelihood are being created. At this time, every human being should deal with these catastrophic moments wisely without being emotionally broken. If we can turn the times of despair into skills, it is possible to revitalize not only our own country, but the whole world.

I think no person who likes the feeling of experiencing community quarantine lockdown because every day watching and hearing about the bad news of governments and front liners having a hard time dealing with this COVID-19. And every day doing nothing just sitting on your couch, just eat, taking a shower, and not having a face to face conversation with your friends and family really bumps me out.

I'm experiencing lockdown depression because of the unexpected delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. My family was actually scheduled to move to a new house location by the end of March. It's almost 3 months now and we're still awaiting for the approval for us to travel and move everything towards our new home.  :(

I would recommend that you always look for the silver lining when experiencing any sort of depression. Being positive, or at least thinking more about the positive things can help you focus less on thinking of the negatives that this Pandemic has caused.

Every now and then, try to talk to someone, chat, and try to exchange ideas with, even if it's via social media (although avoid the negativity since there's a lot of them out there right now). Take note, catching up with friends and relatives is always a positive thing to do.

More importantly, conversing here on bitcointalk.org is also a start, you're doing the right thing... don't hold back, just think out loud whatever you might be experiencing. Create a post, reply to a post, and/or comment reply towards another forum member here. I believe that aside from our common denominator which is cryptocurrency, we're all here to exchange ideas, opinions, and personal experiences as well.

You can still spend your summer time valuably.
There are so many things to do during this period in places that do not have a lot of people so you will avoid overcrowded places.
You just have to think out of the box.

Find what inspires you. Remember that you love, what you would do if you had everything you need. And never take seriously negative thoughts and emotions. This makes no sense. Better pay attention to something positive - it's much better! Moreover, even if you still don't know how to control your mind, anyway a bad mood always ends, and a good one begins!

Depression is real and is often not diagnosed well enough. It's a good thing though that people are starting to open up a bit regarding this (due to the stigma involved when people openly talk about these issues), because it's always best to have someone to talk when depression happens.

Indeed its best to have someone you can open up with regarding of what you've been going through. That is for them to understand your current situation and can give you advice and encourage to think positive. Depression is a serious mental/emotional problem that should be address accordingly to avoid worse situation.

Actually this attitude is normal to those people who has bad experience in other people thats why they chose not to entertain others again.

There's hope for you and your depression. Take a look at what is happening in California.

Court Strikes Down Newsom’s “One-man rule”

After over 7 months of violating the constitution by exploiting the current State of Emergency in California, Governor Gavin Newsom lost a lawsuit this week for his abuse of the executive order. The Judge issued a temporary injunction on his power of executive order. Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, who was one of the Legislators to file the winning lawsuit, came on the show to detail the important win for freedom in California.

Unfortunately, not all people can cope with being at home for so long. Especially if they are alone. But for some, this is the opportunity to improve themselves and do things that have been parked for so long. I hope people will look at the brighter side of this situation and if they are losing hope, think of others that have worst problems than them. I know it is not good to compare yourself to others but if it will help you alleviate your feelings, then do it for yourself.

November is the most depressing month in my opinion because it's getting so dark early and it's cold outside. During the first lockdown I spend a lot of time outside in the nature, but with the second one I find myself mostly at home. Very depressing.

I'm not that depressed in this time of crisis...
Fortunately, until now, the government of my country has not imposed a lockdown even though the number of positive Covid-19 continues to grow. manage your emotions and thoughts because the cause of depression is a person's inability to manage his/her mood and mind.

Whoever you are, don't be depressed, but more importantly, don't be locked down. Why not? Here's why not.

The number of Covid cases is rising, or so we are told. There are charts and graphs from the medical that are showing that the numbers of Covid cases seem to be going through the roof. But here's what is wrong with the cases.

If cases are rising, deaths should be rising, as well. But death charts are showing that deaths are going down or remaining the same for this year as for any year. What does this mean?

It means possibly several things. But at least it means:
1. Covid isn't all that deadly;
2. The medical and government aren't telling the truth about Covid;
3. Covid is a scam being used to take over the world.

Take a look. A short video showing this (sort of) is here: https://www.bitchute.com/video/UAeYqEd1sn69/.

A much longer video showing many important points about this whole thing is here: https://www.bitchute.com/video/L7scjpRqsAVu/.

When people are left alone and not influenced by others, they often are kinda wishy-washy, wondering if they are doing the best they can do for themselves in their lives.

The Covid PCR test takes one or two viruses from a person, and multiplies them so that it looks like the person has loads of viruses in him... even when he has no symptoms at all... and even when they can't use the PCR test to do the same thing with him twice.

Medical leaders in the government are like the PCR test. They take the little bit of uncertainty that people have if they are left alone, and multiply it into a pandemic, even though there is essentially nothing there to start with, and even if they can't do it twice.

COVID TESTING FRAUD UNCOVERED (https://www.bitchute.com/video/d7NLLMTDXfSA/)

As cases of coronavirus rise across America, shouldn’t death rates be going up too? Del breaks down how #COVID tests may be seriously flawed by providing less than accurate results and why the majority of positive cases could be false.

This is really the tough times are not much informed left and business also not doing well since consumers are no more interested now in buying and spending unnecessarily as they do not have much money left with them. Jobs being lost, income not getting generated so only on very limited stuff people are spending money and trying to save it.
Lots of jobs lost.

Lots of income and revenue have been stopped and reduced due to lockdowns. Emotional problems are dwelling in most people that are experiencing hardships with provisions.

It's a hard problem and it's even harder because of the virus.

Government has to choose between moving the economy or postponing it again.

:D thanks for the advises :) yeah I am passing time watching movies and stuffs, also by gambling  ;D I think I overhyped when I said depression, it's not so intense, just sadness and stuff that is normal. I hope this epidemic passes soon and life returns to normal. Watching the death tolls is also so sad. Hope this is over soon :)

Well im glad I was able to read the topic and your op was much more depressing to read.   I can also say you are not alone.

It is normal for us to get depressed from lock down but by now if you are still reading this then hopefully more things are open and you arent depressed.

The whole world has stopped at Coronavirus Covid-19 lockdown goes on within the country. within the name of home quarantine uncertain future and uncertainty of livelihood are being created. At this point, every person should affect these catastrophic moments wisely without being emotionally broken. Each of our employees should take strategic steps to take care of or increase the productivity of the organization in the least times in these times of crisis. If the workers don't turn from their position then the country's trade and economy will fall on its face.

When everything was closed for quarantine, I first reacted calmly. I thought it would be fun to stay at home for a few weeks, to do what I couldn`t on a normal day. So I played computer games, watched movies, drew. But in a few days I got tired. I began to miss work, the gym, friends. So I got depressed. On Canadian Pharmacy I read that you need to do hobbies and sports to overcome depression. I started doing sports at home, but I didn't like it at all, it's not interesting at all. So I started taking anti-depressant that I bought on the same site. After a while I was relieved and now I feel great

Initially when it was new and for some weeks all thought its will go away as not imagined it can stay this longer. But keeping busy in some or other stuff was the key, and this helped me as also kept learning new things and things helps to create new passions and develop new skills through it.

In the first week same feeling that i have specially when my work stops as well things that i have been doing almost half my life.
But after 2 weeks of boredom?we (me and my wife) decide to try online business in which brings us good source of income now.

We are lucky because in other countries now,Second Lock down is happening so what about their feeling compared to us?

I only hope that we all will be okay in the second lockdown, and we can pass this time until the vaccine can be distributed to all people who get an infection and our country have the vaccine in every hospital. We can feel calm down that the government is still trying to get the vaccine, and I know that our government is working hard to get it as soon as possible before the new case increase again. We need to be careful to take care of our health until the vaccine arrives in all countries.

Does it mean in your country 2nd lock down implemented again?that is sudden because in mine we are lucky not having this rules one more time.

And also it is openly broadcast by government that Vaccine will be distributed either 1st quarter or 2nd of the following year.

We are all worried especially now that there is a virus. We do not know when it will end. Many are unemployed. Can not leave the house without a gate pass. So many are depressed. Others are losing their jobs. and Rising prices that people can no longer afford.

Not real lockdown, but I guess every people cannot go to the public area. The new case still increases every day, making the government re-evaluate the second lockdown. But fortunately, the government understands the situations which happen to the business owner, so they don't use a strict lockdown as before. The employee and the officers can go to their office or store or warehouse, but they need to follow the strict health protocols. But I heard that the vaccine would be distributed to the nurses and doctors who interact with the Covid patient.

Good news is that there is finally an vaccine being developed  that works. Pfizer and Biontech have a vaccine that seems to over 90% immunity. It is probably still going to take another few months for it to be mass produces for most people, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. For all us in lockdown and feeling isolated and bad about the current time, we should be relieved by these news. 2021 is definitely going to be better than last few months.

The covid 19 has caused almost all countries to go on lockdown which increases the number of people with depression which is really bad. To get over this, is try to ingage with your friends and family more through phone calls, chat, messages. Do what make you happy, keep yourself busy to reduce over thinking. Try not to isolate yourself from the world this will help.

I don't know what world you live in. Although I guess. I just don't watch or read the news. As I was a free person, I remain so. I'm not affected by this plandemic. And I sincerely wish you the same, so that everything is good for you, that you are inspired and do what you love.

With the imminent second attack of the COVID-19, lockdowns are going to be normal now. The key take-away is staying active and busy during lockdowns. Sooner or later most of us are going to face depression. What I know is being alone is a choice. a choice that you make. I personally like being in solitude as it helps me relax and reflect. whereas a person feels alone when he is not getting the desired attention he wants.

My humble suggestion in this regard would be to stay connected with your friends and indulge in productive activities. Curate and nurture your hobbies. Pay emphasis on self-development. this will be an opportune time to take part in a course and construct skills.

Good to hear that mate i thought you will be having another Lockdown in which really worst to happen.

But also i like the idea that the Frontliners or the Nurses and Doctors will be given the Vaccine?this will help the situation lessen the chance of having spread the virus.

Anyway Take care always Mate and Be aware that following the protocols will really save you from infections.

I can not imagine what will happen to people if the government really does lockdown as before because they can not get a job or make money. The government is trying to give the vaccine to the frontliners, nurses, and doctors first because they are the first contact with the patient. They need to get protection first, and then the government can distribute the vaccine to people who get an infection.

Yes, thank you very much for your attention. I hope you can do the same thing, don't forget to protect yourself and family, and follow the government's health protocols.

Its important for us to not feel alone during these trying times. If we have someone that we can open up about our situation that would be better, it can lighten up the burden or depression that we feel. Lets cheer up because this is not going to be forever, the virus will go away soon specially now that some pharmaceutical company already made a vaccine.
