Based from what I have seen in the forum, even if the project disclosed their team members with corresponding authentic profile links and experiences, it doesn't mean that they will going to deliver their promised objectives. Or even if they are active with their various social media channels, it doesn't tell much about the real fate of the project. For me, it is better if the project has active product that can cater a large number of users. Which means, a product that is usable by many and not a select few groups or individuals. Because the success of the platform depends on the success of the product that they are offering. Even if they have noble concept or idea but if they can't put them into actual product, then it is still useless or worthless. Anybody can make a promising roadmap but very few can really make it happen. Bottomline, on my end, I am now looking for a tangible product with potential active users. If they can catch large number of active users, then they are heading to a very high-yielding outcome.

GitHub activities can reveal the potential of a project or the project's disadvantages, team having linkedin and Twitter doesn't mean they are real, many fake profiles exist on linkedin and Twitter, beware of that from now on

Stakenet is a project that I've been following, and while their Github activities has been impressive, you need to consider that the majority of their submissions is kept in private repos, meaning you only see the "tip of the iceberg with this one". I'm sure it isn't the only project doing this, to protect themselves against "thieves" claiming the work to be their own, without giving credit.

Stakenet is probably the most ambitious project I know off, as they are doing things never seen before.

XSN plans to run their own oracle network, build their own hardware wallet, solve DEX liquiditty through API implementation on their DEX, meaning they can benefit from other DEX order books and vice versa, which will add tons of liquidity for traders to take advantange off.

CEO can easily lied about their professionals, we can't really know if they really have 5-10 years of experience can we? And any scammers can use stolen identity to create accounts on LinkedIn and other social media websites

Not everyone can interpret a Github account, Even if that is not possible, they can also check the date it was created. Most scam projects create their Githubs at a time that is very close to the project launch.
Imagine a GitHub account created a mont to the announcement of project. Sucha a project has to be suspected of something they are hiding. Also, a legit project would invest in its Github and provide convincing details.

A good project is always creating an MVP to be used as a representative of the product. MVP act as a prototype to the investors. The investor can try to expect what product that will be developed by the team. MVP is a must for the requirement to be listed on the exchange site too. I may think you forget to mention this as an important thing to identify how good the investment was.

You really showed some very important tips and i think people should care about it before invest on any project. In my little experience i understood that we need to focus on main point which is active team management. You can see all around that only those projects are survived which project's team continuously working on it and bring more benefit for their customer regularly. Doesn't matter how much popular person in core team, doesn't matter how much unique idea they have got, doesn't matter how much they are offering bonus, if they have not capability to continuously working on that project then it just a matter of time that project will be dead soon.

Based on your list, you actually did your best but what you have here might not be enough to determine a good project to invest in. A lot of manipulation is going on when it comes to some of the things you have mentioned. We just need to be more careful when making a choice of coin to invest in.

What i always look at those project I wanted to invest is their Product. If their product is possible to achieve and has a good use in crypto community, there is a higher chance for that project to become successful after launching.
 
 Also, the transparency of the team is also significant. All their activities and actions should be able to traced by the members so they know how the project's progress is leading. The identity of a team also is important as we all know most of the useless projects had a fake teams.
 
 Proper research in a particular project can also be a good tool to spot which good project we should invest.

Products are only a formality because in reality they only want to make a profit and this is also the ultimate goal when choosing to invest. If a project has a good roadmap and often holds many big events, it will surely attract a large number of investors. However, there are very few good projects in this market and it will be very difficult for you to find such projects in this bad time.

I also do not trust those linked profiles and twitter they can easily fake, I have seen so many scam projects managed by people from Linkedin and Twitter, they are not reliable I prefer people coming from a reputable company, where names can be seen on the internet and they have a lot of activities not only on LINKEDIN.

Yee, GitHub is kinda potential source to identify the project and it's live activity. Engagement of peers into the project can also reveal about its priority and potential.

However, we still can't rely 100% on it, they are just projects being coded and may end up as failure.

So again, the fate of any altcoin relays on its long journey and people's choice of investing in it.

One of the crucial points is the ability of the team to do webinar and AMA, they should be able to answer investors and supporters questions, the GitHub should always be updated and the roadmap followed, there should be no excuses why the are paused on the development, investors are following the development so the team's ability to move is very important.

Thats right I think OP forgot this to mentioned and one of the key element of good project. All those social media affair can be done by scammers but they cant fake anything on the open source of github. Regarding the team, even with linkedin users should be able to communicate with the team cause chance that they are using other's identity is possible.

There are so many cases in the past with this method. Always check if they are the real one behind the project. I am pity those profile whom being used for such fraud.

Investing is like you are playing gambling, you probably be lucky enough if you are into profitable investment but not all who invest gained profit some of them lose everything. Verification of people behind any project might be possible but can only be available on the chosen channels that they prefer in that case they can manipulate what are the things you will know about them, of course, no one will let publicize any negative information that may cause the bad image to the wholeness of their project. If you plan to invest know everything about the project as you could but always be ready for any unwanted circumstances that you may encounter.

You are right but we can understand shortly how much experience in CEO because from her developing activity with project planning day day. Professional CEOs never resort to lies and his plans are a little different which helps a project to be implemented properly.

These are good highlights and I think if followed duly will help the person make good investment decisions. However, since humans tends to change, same can be reflected on their projects, that is, where most project's team keeps improving some can start in a good way and along the line losses it all thereby causing the project to sink. Therefore in my own opinion, and however mostly for new projects, when you intend to invest and hold as the case maybe and start noticing nonchalant behaviour from the team, it is a good time to let go. Also, most team can lie about their experiences, hence when they launch a project and failed to live upto expectations, it might be a proof that they lied. Lastly, depending on the type of projects, the team should be able to have a working product which bears their ideas, if they are not able to, then something is wrong too.

All these criteria works during 2017/2018 ICO era, they are not yard stick that a project would end fine, there are many projects that fulfil these criteria but ended up a failed project, a good example is hybrid block, collecting huge fund during private sale and fail to deliver any sound exchange, it was projected to be the Asian CoinBase

Investing might be in two case fold. First is investing for quick profit and earn cool place profit. The second is investing to see what the project achieving their goals and purpose. If you are investing for quick profit , what you need majorly is for the project to make IEO on a reputable exchange , if this happens it will cover for others and then you can be rest assured they won't abscond with funds. I don't know the MVP you mentioned but if it's really important every project should pay attention to it.

The problem is not the project but the team being greedy, even a project with all this qualities sometimes will still end in the pit because of bad management and greed, team selling tokens during ieo/ico with 50% bonus should tell you there will be problem with price dump moving forward, since teams even with good credentials still can't be trusted, new project this days is very risky to invest on.

I only cut the most important for me, when I research a project to invest I don't usually read everything as it consumes a lot of time, you know as a busy person I also have a lot of things to attend to, so I just look at some pointers which is what I quoted from your post.

The CEO and the team comprises the project is very important, but knowing the CEO, you'll be able to see his experience and his achievements in life, it has to be publicly published so investors will be aware, and if the CEO is something I think would lead a success to the project, then I invest. However, I don't put everything that I have to one project only, regardless on how good or reputable the CEO, I always follow my principle to always diversify the risk.

Nowadays scam projects can fake anyone, so be really careful with your checking. You can still encounter scam projects and lose money with it, I myself have avoided new projects and only invested in the top altcoins in this market to make a profit.

OP please tell me how will someone know if the CEO of a project really have the experience of 5 to 10 years? The reason why I asked is because of few new project CEOs lied about their professions using LinkedIn profile

It's too difficult to verify them in these matters, most of them will use fake profiles to create projects. I am only interested in projects invested by many large organizations and implemented IEO at major exchanges. Those projects will certainly have a lot of hype and bring a lot of profits to short-term and long-term investors

Many of us really become a victim of these scam project. At first, they provided a good objective and a very good team behind the project but sadly ended up failed. Legitimate projects could fail, if they can't reach at least softcap. I have some experience on legit projects those projects refund money and showed every detail why they are sorry. Only a few times have passed and in their working process, we can find scam projects. Next time I will post where I have doubts about any campaigns.

What I think right now is that I do not want to invest in any new project  ;D
It is too risky and right now, I will not spend my money on the new project. I think that spending my funds for top coins is better, moreover for daily trading only.

And the most important thing is that how to ensure the CEO and team are really real, they may have their LinkedIn and also other social media, but we do not know whether they are real or use the other profile or not. n this case we must be more detailed in researching the profiles of them.

Of course, you cannot be overconfident of your analysis, but it can help at least to a level.
A research that is properly done is better than not doing anything at all or investing blindly, maybe because you heard or read about someone who said something on it.
I think most of the times, it boils down to the team. A white paper might not look so attractive and you can be surprised to see the project doing better than some that are looking big.

Team information can be easily manipulated and for others I agree with you besides that we also have to look at partners in the project, the more famous the partner, the more it will attract investors

I agree with a good number of your points while I do not totally agree with some such as in the team Information, I think for a project which want to scam Investors, they can go any length to see that their aims is achieved thus manipulating team Information is just one of many ways. On the other hand partnership just like someone else said is also a deciding factor; if a project have good and trusted partners then it's likely the team will be true since the partners can easily be asked if they are in partnership with such project or not, hence looking out for good partnership is also a good way of knowing if a project is worth it or not.

Cannot emphasize the point of doing research enough. For me even 5 minutes spent on Googling is enough to tell you about 90% of projects.

But I only half agree that it boils down to the team. Sometimes it is more about the community of users, who make a project even greater than the team ever can. Sometimes they love it so much THEY take it on themselves to carry the project and it does so well because of this.

True! Furthermore, accuracy has to exist if the team wants more people to join their projects! Therefore, doing research is always critical before joining in any project! You can doubt that all of the information is provided by the team is based on their intentions, however, better do something than nothing!

Binance, Okex, Huobi always give the best to investors because the exchange always accepts high-quality projects and therefore I think we should be prepared when they will launch with the new IEO that is a struggle because not everyone can follow IEO there.

They create fake professions using LinkedIn and they tag companies that don't exist just to decieved investors, I'm sorry for those who looks for all this in new projects to invest on them, they aren't true, today you can create fake data and wait few years later to use them to fool people, sorry OP this won't safe people from getting scammed

We're also too, because binance and kucoin everytime giving good IEO service. In fact, the number of their investors is huge and all the good projects want to follow them so IEO is willing to manage. whatever we have to be careful to invest at this time because the amount of our losses in the last few years is high.

Even after extensive analysis about the project completely still it can turns out to be a scam so first we need to ready to lose the money we are investing if you can't means then stay away from new projects.And also I don't think not much projects are worthy enough to invest in 2020 so don't take any risk.

You are right. I have seen several times a project can deceive you with their linkedin profiles.
Some will buy a profile with many connections so as not to show that they just create the profile.
But many others are caught using fake photos or computer generated images.
I think one important thing for me now is that they have working app or product in place already.
At least you know, they already found a way how to initiate their developments.
And if there is a working app, it means they are serious in launching their platform without the need of collecting huge money.
