Title: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: Pffrt on May 01, 2020, 12:48:26 PM Is there any gambling site allowing Lightning Network? It has been a pain with the recent fee increase when it comes to deposit on gambling sites. Usually I gamble with low amount and if I lose all, I deposit again. I don't want to deposit big amount. If there's nay, recommend me. Would like to save the fee.

But instead, you can save not only BTC, but also platforms that accept altcoins. I usually prefer Ethereum as an example. Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: mindrust on May 01, 2020, 01:00:19 PM There are a few.
You can see most of them here: https://lightningnetworkstores.com/ These are the ones you see at the first glance: https://simpledice.com/ https://luckydice.com/ https://www.lightningspin.com/ These all look promising. They probably should spend more on promoting their website though. Tbh I think all casinos should start adopting LN because it is clearly superior to the base protocol. I think people even don't know that they allow Lightning Network. They should have come up with more promotion. Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: ralle14 on May 02, 2020, 06:57:14 AM Bitdouble is another gambling site that accepts deposits through the lightning network (https://imgur.com/11o68Qv). Not many bitcoin casinos have lightning network as a deposit method right now as a lot of gamblers don't mind waiting a few minutes for a block. But I agree with mindrust, casinos should consider adding the lightning network as one of the alternatives.
Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: mirakal on May 02, 2020, 08:50:29 AM There has been few adoption yet on crypto gambling sites, I wish they'll all adopt soon.
While we are worried with the transaction cost now, maybe consider using altcoins, I think that would save the problem as most of the sites now are already accepting altcoins, some only accept major altcoins like ETH, but at least it's lower compared to bitcoin's transaction fee. Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: stomachgrowls on May 02, 2020, 09:53:35 AM You can see most of them here: This link shows it all.https://lightningnetworkstores.com/ Seen some sites do make use of LN like; https://www.luckythunder.com/#/ https://www.moneni.com/dice They should have come up with more promotion. People do still hesitate on using LN for some other reason like still on development state or some sort.Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: Sadlife on May 02, 2020, 10:09:56 AM Lightning network is a pain to use there's no user friendly graphical user interface to transact quickly with LN (Lightning Network) but for me, i only use the normal way to deposit in Gambling sites and the fees are not that high. I guess this is because most users are now using segwit that's why there's less congestion in the Blockchain network. So we can enjoy sending and receiving our crypto in gambling casino's.

I am sure that's a temporary problem which they'll fix soon. How hard could it be to develop a user friendly GUI in the end right? I think as long as the protocol works safe and fast, GUI won't be much of a problem. Remember Bitcoin itself used to be complicated for us too right? As for websites, I've seen some, but they did not get popular. If the issue is with transaction fees (although they seem normal to me these days), why not use Ethereum/Litecoin/Doge? Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: LoyceV on May 02, 2020, 11:55:13 AM I've used these:
Lightning network is a pain to use there's no user friendly graphical user interface to transact quickly with LN Try BlueWallet (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5168527.0). It's custodial (and LN is experimental), so don't use it with more than you're willing to lose. After trying a few wallets, this one is my favourite (and much easier than opening your own channels).Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: Russlenat on May 02, 2020, 12:00:53 PM TBH, I have no idea that there are gambling sites who are adopting with the LN, I think someone should make a thread summarizing a gambling site that uses LN, this would be helpful for gamblers who likes a fast and cheap deposit and withdrawal transactions.
Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: swogerino on May 02, 2020, 12:04:15 PM I don’t know much about sites with Lightning Network but when I want to not pay high fees I choose to play with other cryptos like Litecoin and Ethereum. The fees are not high at all and I know a lot of gambling sites accept alternative cryptocurrencies.
Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: Timelord2067 on May 02, 2020, 01:27:23 PM I have on my LN list:

You have a point there. This whole concept is experimental in the end. Just because not many people use LN right now don't mean It won't be huge in the future. It may or may not but it is just another experiment. What LN trying to achieve is, seeing that if BTC could scale worldwide if there were no altcoins around. Since there are coins like doge, eth, ltc... it may look like they are wasting their time and effort there but then again, people used to think about that for btc too. satoshi didn't care what the others said and did what he wanted anyway. As long as there are people who develop LN and somebody uses it, it will continue to exist. Title: Re: Gambling sites with Lightning Network Post by: Pffrt on May 02, 2020, 02:17:10 PM Thank you guys for suggesting the sites. I will be joining them soon and will try to give a review if I got enough time.
People do still hesitate on using LN for some other reason like still on development state or some sort. Yeah but you know with recent fee increase, LN would get a huge attraction. I just feel hurt to use such high fee when I deposit in gambling sites.Thread locked. |
