At present, the market condition of altcoin is not very good, the exchange rate of BTC is getting lower and lower, and many altcoins have been unmaintained. Even if the development team still insists, the price is very miserable! The blow to the entire team is not small, I am afraid it is difficult to persevere. 1. In your life, when would you use cryptocurrencies to shop? We know that people like to use cryptocurrencies in the dark web.Is general life shopping necessary?

1. I would be more than happy to spend my btc for purchasing my underwear to paying all of my bills but that's not possible here. Without real adoption, no coin could be bright. For your info, BTC is being used in different shops too, afaik, some alts are also accepted. When crypto will have acceptance on all the shops, that will fulfill the goal of Satoshi and we expect someday it will be done.
2. I would prefer BTC at the first place. Although the scalability is an issue yet, BTC is the most decentralized currency so far. If I were to choose an altcoin, I would prefer LTC. It's another version of BTC too.
3. In my opinion, it's not buying opportunity. We had it some couple of months ago.
4. I didn't get the point.

This time I haven't much faith upon the altcoins because of the very irregularities in the ICO and the bounty for promotion they are offering. Earlier, in the ICO I have also made some investment. But now their value is not even a dollar. The Bunny token, here I invested more than $500 but you cant imagine the value of this overall investment now is mere $1. So, the faith come to the altcoins. So, I only work for bounty for the free coin. If I get reward then happy if not get then I feel that I had nothing to lost.

Now, if available. But there is none. I don't want to use online shops because of high international delivery fees

For me, altcoins are the best source of investment i love, it might be tricky, soft and not flambouyant but it has immense profit if you can get it right.

Also, you need to be able to stick to the best of altcoins, and to identify the best of altcoins, you must do your research immensely, avoid clout, fud and fomos and be the best you can be for yourself.

I use altcoins for several things like buying, gambling and trading but I don't consider alts to be as worthy for long term hold as bitcoin. You know bitcoin would not fail you but you can't say the same for alts. I trust Ethereum but it's a utility token with infinite supply. You can't expect to get similar profit from them as bitcoin.

In fact, I only use BTC and ETH to pay several times for online accounts, but in daily life there is no option to use cryptocurrencies. Hope things will change in the near future.

My belief in alts depends on the price of bitcoin. I do not believe much in the future of blockchain technology and cheap alts. I am just analyzing the future price of bitcoin to buy potential alts. Although it is still too early to judge but I believe with time there will be alts that can be use for payment aside eth, and can provide good service in real life, this is still the early stage perhaps.

I don't think you can use a cryptocurrency to buy a phisically product and I will tell you why . If you send right now $30 worth of bitcoin the transaction fee will be somewhere at ~$3-4 . No one will spend $30 for a product with $3 fee.

My answer for question number 2 is I will prefer to use eth as the payment option to pay when you buy online.

From a good point of view the present nature of altcoins really gives concerns, many might argue it is because of the pandemic. However, answering the questions; first I don't really know when I can use cryptocurrencies to shop because in my current location there is no platform which has adopted it yet, but if I have the opportunity online I will always go for it.
Secondly, the cryptocurrencies I will choose for payment is Ethereum or Bitcoin.
Thirdly, the market looks unfavorable and therefore might still go down more, so I will wait a bit more.
Lastly, altcoins future application which will attract more users is in the area of e-commerce, just imagine a case scenario where altcoins have already being adopted into certain e-commerce platforms we would have seen that most people won't bother selling to fiat in this pandemic when they can do their shopping with altcoins.

not much different from me, I personally use crypto only for investment. but once in a while I start trying to shop using crypto on several sites that accept payment via BTC. and I also don't think that crypto can be used for daily life especially in the near future, because crypto is not a tool for transactions like paper currencies, crypto is more suitable for investment tools.

Now I don't think of any other digital currency other than Bitcoin. Because altcoin seems to me to be made only for taking bitcoin. If you look at the altcoin market you will understand how the altcoin market is losing value. So far I haven't been able to use altcoin in real life and I don't know if I can. I do have confidence in good altcoins and i am sure they will do well in future, below i will answer your questions one by one.
1) yes, shopping with crypto has already become a reality, there are many retailers that accept crypto directly other than that you can use any crypto based cards and you have many options available now. I am using crypterium card and it is as good as bank card.
2) I am holding only top serious coins so definitely i will use only them for payment like btc and eth.
3) yes, but pick your alts wisely and do not chase any shiny new coin.
4) i think eth 2.0 will emerge as a winner and dApp culture will promote.

There are many good projects out there. Our portfolio should be diversified.

1. To use cryptocurrencies at shops, I think it needs more time. Still cryptocurrencies are waiting for their wide adaption and the ways few governments think about it.
2. At the moment, BTC is the only reliable and I would say univarsal option for payment.
3. I see a good opportunity to buy but not 100% as market may lower down more.
4. We need a univarsal application/exchange/marketplace to have for all cryptocurrencies. At the moment, due to multiple exchanges and application for each toen or coin, the mass adoption is far away.

i'd be willing to pay bill or buy just about anything on a local store as long as the transaction fee cost a penny. TRX or ADA would be my best candidate for it. today these tokens are very much affordable for anyone with a hundred USD can collect it for future use, them being affordable means an opportunity to grab them while its cheaper. ADA was implemented already and its viable.

Have low faith on new altcoins but it doesn't mean every altcoin will fail as long as bitcoin is exists here there is a hope for altcoin users as well.For use case any crypto currency is still infant and have limited usage so if you want to use crypto for every purchase then you have to wait for atleast a decade from now.

The market was in general a downward trend for more than 2 years. In this environment, altcoin performances caused great losses from time to time. However, it does not show that all of these investments have disappeared.

I think the only problem with this is that there are too many crypto assets in the market. According to the latest data, there were over 5000 cryptos. (Except for those who died) The vast majority of these altcoins have no real function. And yet, many people in the market continue to trade them. This prevents the market from reaching its true potential.

Of course mate. The profits that i have taken from altcoins is way higher than from bitcoin but don't forget you can't make any decent profits with any altcoin on the market. You have to carefully select among these coins and do a good background research as well considering the use case of the project and its feasibility.

I stay in a place where most do not understand what cryptocurrency is. So it is never a popular thing to be used. The only thing i do mostly is send the BTC or ETH to friends who might need it for online shopping. I do not do that, because I have personally not be exposed to it, but i wish that cryptocurrency could be legalized by governments, so that many could use it freely without any restriction.

Sure, altcoin is still a great place for you to trust and invest. As long as you do market research and monitoring, I believe you will find the best altcoins for both short and long term investments.

I never had confidence in alts to begin with, always knew that almost all of them are scams or just trash. Still, I to this day own a tiny amount of two altcoins - not because I believe that they will go to the moon or something, I'm just waiting for a better moment to sell - I'd settle even for a 20% pump.

I believe the longer it will take for Bitcoin to start a big bull run, the more alts will be dying in the process, because alts can't have their alt season until Bitcoin will make the first move. So, yeah, it's a horrible idea to hodl alts long term, especially if they are some low-rank shitcoins. Better to cut your losses while you can.

The answer is clear. To gain faith in altcoins, you need to know the clear uses of altcoins. If these parts cannot be resolved, altcoin will die. Investors want a clear profit model.

1. I will use only a particular cryptocurrency that will cause me more comfortable, convenient, and also less cost (especially in transaction fees). In buying some shops now, it's like kinda not always a good idea to use cryptocurrency, not in all cases.
2. I will use fewer transaction fees, Bitcoin will do also especially the Lightning network that runs on the top of Bitcoin, it is amazing! I am not aware on some altcoins but there are a lot of altcoins that are fast and cheap transaction fees.

Bitcoin is now very volatile and very difficult to surpass the old ATH because the situation is unpredictable, and many investors have lost all their assets when choosing to invest in this market.

I think the market will take a few more years to end a bad time, so it is best to invest and sell only when it is profitable. Of course, it is also possible to buy some of the altcoins currently available in this market as altcoins have dropped significantly compared to a few years ago.

One expect once told me, in cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is the framework or skeleton whereas altcoins form the flesh around it. This means, both are important. I agree with some of your points, people need to use crypto currency as a payment system that's the main reason it was developed for, to be honest even I have not used it.

Also altcoins have become the favorites of BTC, which means being dependent on BTC. Alts price are still capable to go up if the traders invest more money also there is less demand of alts where the price is not showing any specific move, let's be confident and wait for alts turn.

i didn't expect Synthetix Network Token had to scale up where it is today. its not really surprising that Defi is now almost wining in the market. altcoins somehow are here to stay, you may not have confidence to altcoins but the developers are confident enough to develop a better platform.

Of course... There are still a lot of decent altcoins in the industry and market currently doing well Irrespective of how the market has been reacting recently. Also, some useful projects are still currently being developed. Take for instance the ethershift ESH token that has grown from less than 5 cents to over 80cents currently in less than a month. Altcoins are still having a good time in the market. Even the xinfin network token has been doing wonders for the past 2 days. Others out there are also reacting positively at the moment.

1. In my zone it's impossible to use btc or any crypto currency. So my best option is i sell my crypto asset for fiat which is available here.

2. Of course btc will be my first choice. It's much popular than other crypto currency and easy to use/store. Beside that eth and xlm will be good enough for payment method. Eth is second large crypto asset and also very popular. And i would choose xlm because of low fees and fast transaction.

Yes top ten altcoin holds good potential to bounce back any moment only if the value of Bitcoin raises I feel like most of the altcoin's future relies on Bitcoin. I would request you to look at it from a broader point of view wherein altcoins can't do much without any Bitcoin momentum as their value increases only when the value of Bitcoin increases, I would suggest you not to have high hopes on altcoins except Ethereum.

The best applications are privacy coins but they're now under attack from governments so if they survive they're going to go up in value.

Only those Altcoin that already passed the bearish trend will give you good profit when you invest on them at this time but you need to know there is this thing called timing. timing when you buy those coins you need to buy them at their right time to gain some decent amount of income. because when you just blindly buy, there is a high percentage that the price will not rise instead it will just fell and no one can tell you when will it rise again. It is also the same for me, l mean l have high confidence only with top altcoins. Going for top 10 altcoins on Coinmarketcap is good because such coins have large caps and volume and are already in demand hence the probability of it retracing to zero is minimal. However, to make the most profit, you can also look at some mid-cap coins that are still in the phase of development and forming strong partnerships. These coins have higher chance of sprouting when it meets new face of investors.

Yes I still have confidence in few altcoins, as for new altcoins they can be life changing opportunities but also huge risk investment, old altcoins are just way safer but if you can spot genuine promising new altcoins you might get lucky

the belief in altcoin season also makes me hold altcoin. even though it's not much, but I think it's the right amount for now. From your heading you are asking if there is hope for altcoin. My answer is yes there is hope. Buying and selling use is increasing a lot of companies that are into gambling use it. Many Data company are coming that also use altcoin for exchanges of data. We are getting there.

Altcoin is one of the alternative for bitcoin but not all of them are good and almost same concept with others. I am using cruptocurrency on some establishment here in our country and so far it has a good use. The only down side is limited for acceptance.

there will be a time when all Altcoins will increase 2-3x, look at THETA, 3x increase happens this season,
I already thought there will be a big increase in altcoin after halving is finished, it's time for another altcoin accumulation  :D

It may take a little time to go up though but I think it would be worth accumulating if the project is really good. Obviously the ones who did go up last bullrun will also go up in the upcoming season, so its a matter of how much you are investing today and the profit will be limitless.

Its the worse thing to learn that an investor can profit in the long run but just keep thinking only bitcoin will go up. Its not true otherwise the altcoins had already been disappearing.

First group says that Bitcoin is a solution for everything and if not, always you can built it on side-chains.

I think that in the near future, every investor can make a profit thanks to altcoin, because most of these coins are in constant demand in the cryptocurrency market, which is primarily supported by speculators. It does not make sense to look into the distant future, because each altcoin will have the prospect of being equivalent to the real demand for the platform and coin by certain companies or
specific projects. I believe that the real value of altcoin will be evaluated due to the demand in society and due to its real application, and not only due to speculation on cryptocurrency exchanges. at least regarding the prospects of ethereum and NEO, I have no doubt.

Do not underestimate altcoins, most especially the new projects, I've seen a friend who make it through a privacy coin, he buy huge bag when price was cheap, I think ICO price and few months later it turn very big, I think the coin name is Zclassic, this coin changed my friends life for good, altcoins brings higher profits and higher risks too

I have been holding my altcoin for more than a year, and I still have confidence, because the project is still going well,
the development is also good, and the community is still supporting, I have nothing to worry about, so do the other altcoins

Of course, As always, Bitcoin alone is like an island, Altcoins gives color to blockchain technology. Some Altcoins are really good in terms of technology compared to bitcoin and that is a fact, some altcoins are faster, cheaper fees but they cannot beat bitcoin which has community trust. But some altcoin is gaining people trust slowly like BNB they are pretty decent and owned by most trusted exchange right now binance it is just an example do your own research.

To answer OP's questions -
1. Actually, I am not using crypto directly to shop, I convert my btc to fiat before buying anything as not many shops are accepting crypto in my area. And I am doing that for quite a long time already.
2. I think, in my area, I don't have any choice but only to use bitcoin, because very few merchants are accepting bitcoin right now. But if in case I have the choice, I prefer doge as the tx fee is very small compared to bitcoin.
3. I don't believe there is right time for buying opportunity. It is always a buying opportunity for me. As long as you sell it higher than what you bought it, then you're good to go.
4. I think one application is payment method in supermarkets - everyone buys food, so if you will integrate bitcoin or any crypto in supermarkets, people will be curious to see this option. And anywhere in the world, supermarkets have always customers.

Due to the additional dominance of Bitcoin in the current market, other coins are not being traded in the same way, Other good altcoins are expected to meet the needs of investors in the coming days.

1. We know that people like to use cryptocurrencies on the dark web. And Yes and right now. Because it will only show global adoption for bitcoin.

Depends on the altcoin isn't it? We can't believe in all altcoins at the same time all together. However there are some that I really like and trust, whereas there are some I think would be basically trash very soon, and there are some that is in the middle as well. I don't exactly know which coin belongs to which of them, if I was that smart I would have been super rich by now, but I know that there are those three categories and all coins fall in one or the other.

I want to believe that ethereum is one of the coins that would be very good and can feel confident that it won't go down, I feel doge would basically be the middle where its not major coin but still fine, and I think there are plenty of projects who will go down very quickly after they release as well, it all depends on the coin.

As of now I have still confidence in altcoins even do some prices on it are still stable, But some of them still not rise the price. But I do hope it can recover soon so I need to hold it for more time an having to increase the price again. With confidence or not, we should not expect on altcoins to be just like bitcoin that is supported by many investors. How many altcoin on the coinmarketcap really have a good potential? I am still interested in altcoins investment. I buy in altcoins whenever i see an opportunity, it's when i'm focus on the chart and realize that it will have a small pump up, my target is about 5% to 10% profits to get out, it depends on market condition at that time.

You're right its been 2 years since we last witness an altcoins season and I think some investors are losing confidence and trust for waiting. It takes patience in order to earn in crypto, if you dont have it then you might really end up selling your assets. TBH, I didn't tried to use Bitcoin or any crypto to shop but I'm converting my Bitcoins to our own currency and that is what I'm using to buy some things online. Crypto is heavily used in dark web especially those privacy coins like Monero. I will use crypto to shop if there are some establishments who are willing to accept it.

Everything that's overhyped usually will not end well and crypto is not an exception in this case and now the market is a lot more stable than before although not as "good" as before same thing happened to stocks and many more.

Yes believe few altcoins and for every altcoins unknown confidence. Do not hold every altcoins then you have no chance for make profits even it's chance for loss money. But I guess, those tokens having pretty good social media interactions and marketing are mostly promising and also give good returns on investment, whereas those IEO having very less popularity aren't even close to the ones having huge social media following. Many of the altcoins are created to act like a payment coin and most of them are dedicated to specific purpose or service. And they are also gaining relative adoption and use. In few years, people would be using altcoins for payments more than they do with bitcoin as bitcoin's fees increases. Bitcoin and other limited supply coin would act as an asset while payment altcoins would be popular merchant coin.

I really don't think it was purifying because in reality shitcoins won't have a way to rise but it sinks. Think a number of altcoins have dead already, this will tell something that many investors are losing their confidence with altcoins and diversifying their portfolio into stable coins or in the top coins in the CMC.

I am sad to say this, but the truth is that the current bunch of altcoins have failed completely. And the reasons are there for everyone to see. Many of the coins comes to the market with huge pre-mine volumes. The promoters get immediate monetary benefit as a result of this pre-mine. Yes I do believe on altcoins but it's a shame they aren't doing great like in the past, many buy top altcoins when their price are high and till date these altcoins failed to reach their old ATH, forcing investors to hold since they don't want to lose, the one lesson I've learned so far is never buy altcoins when they are surging or pumping, you will lose real quick

I agree with you, alt coins look still very good in my opinion. We should not be losing face in crypto currencies, so far they are holding pretty strong in the corona crisis. I am holding my coins, not going to sell any this year.  As for bitcoins, the price is pretty much stable around $10.000-11.000 for more than a year now, I am not going to buy any new bitcoins in the near future. In my opinion there is more return to be made with alt coins than BTC for now. Personally I have more confidence into crypto currencies than in many fiat currencies.

Yes. I can't find any reason to not believe in future of altcoins. I know in the market there are lots of scam project available. But there are lots of coin which  have great potential for future. If I have to chose one coin to implement as payment option I would go for any coin which have very low transaction fees.And at this moment  market is normal many coins are in high price so it's not a very good time to invest. Actually the government doesn't support cryptocurrency for users privacy could be out of control. When big users couldn't trust cryptocurrency to scam projects. We know that every day new coins are listed in the coinmarketcap where we don't need as many listed coins. I haven't used any cryptocurrency yet for shopping but I'm still confident about cryptocurrency. Whatever coin we use for shopping, there should be fast transactions and low costs.

With this current market's situation, i think many crypto enthusiast have gain confidence in their altcoins and tries to buy or hodl their altcoins since some of it are showing dominance in the market. Some altcoins shows good performance now, and i think in the future some altcoins would be use to huy stuffs online as a form of payment. This would be possible in the near future.

Always possible, in fact there are some altcoins that can be used already for making payments. But they're not dominating over Bitcoin ofcourse.
Just recently, I just happened to get bumped on conversations on reddit saying that it's a good season for altcoins, after weeks from the day I read the discussion, bitcoin just went higher.
Everone is entitled to give opinion, that's why we should not believe every speculations that they are providing.

Altcoins are a reliable investment too like bitcoin.
They are growing in price and following the movement of btc hence we can expect alts that has good future might really use as one of payment method too. Some people are losing trust during bear market but now the price shows a significant growth so they engage themselves again.

There are so many to choose and invest so yeah i am still confident about my altcoin on hold.

There are many of them that BS and scam,some are dying but not all of them,still there are good currencies aside from Bitcoin that can have a good future.

Some of them are

I believe in altcoins, as long as I have a breakthrough idea and the source code is always up to date, there is a chance for altcoins to grow.

These coins, especially those that are in the top, have proven to everyone that they are able to survive in the difficult conditions of the volatility of the cryptocurrency market. Many participants in the cryptocurrency market fully trust top altcoins and always have good profits.

me personally, still do have confidence left in altcoins but I'm now smart enough to only hold 10% fund in altcoins and 90% fund in Bitcoin because let's be honest altcoin knows how to disappoints, having only 10% of funds in altcoin kinda give me ease of mind, that's the risk I can afford to take

I still believe that there are still great altcoin projects out there and new good altcoin projects to come. Only bitcoin alone can not serve every demand that the financial industry and the average user has.
It becomes more and more hard to choose the right altcoin though now that there appear no altcoin projects everyday and of course at least 90% of those won't survive a year.

I dont see altcoins or any crypto currency being used in the future. I get the question a lot but i just dont understand how people are entertaining the idea of such volatile coins being used in every day life.

I can't deny that the value of altcoin was too far from the value that each and everyone would loved to invest. Altcoin i guess was being left by other cryptocurrency compare to bitcoin which was the biggest hit of cryptocurrency. As for these questions, i usually used bitcoin for an online payments and other transactions that crypto can buy online. It's one of a good features of crypto that we can actually pay immidiately with no hustle converting into fiat, just bitcoin payment could be done for an online transaction. I also think that sooner or later altcoin seasons comes again in crypto market.

1. I would do if available. I expect, Soon many services will be available that are going accept payments in cryptocurrency.

I think it's worth believing in altcoins for sure. Yes, there are a lot of them, but among them there are very worthy ones. eg uniswap, monero, binance.

Even though I 100% trust Bitcoin but I still really trust Altcoins and especially the top 10 Altcoins that have survived and been trusted over the years, and I still hold some Altcoins like Erhereum, Litecoin, Doge and there are some other Altcoins although not many.

Well, there are so many altcoins these days, and when investing into a certain project let's also do your own research before buying. Only those legit project will stand out in the market and there's more opportunity to earn sa profit. So no doubt the best investment but also take note of the risks since some altcoins becomes no value in the long run.

1. I never shop using BTC, maybe because it is not available in my area.
2. I prefer Tron, because the gas fee is quite cheap.
3. I think it's time to buy. but my advice, choose an altcoin like eth or tron. indeed there are no guarantees but to be successful we must take risks.

altcoins have always followed their own trajectory and this isnt always the same with BTC
so sometimes bitcoin may be mooning and altcoins may see very little positive change in price, that doesnt mean that ill lose faith in altcoins.
I analyze projects well before investing in them and after i have invested, i give it time to gain value.
