Title: Have you ever got it wrong?
Post by: Dondeon on June 03, 2020, 06:58:40 AM
I have come to a conclusion that we might need to reflect on the past at times to set the future right. What brought about this conclusion?
I have had so many negative experiences in some things in life which cryptocurrency is inclusive. I kept asking myself why? but there was no answer to that until I finally found the energy to reflect on my past history involving those things which cryptocurrency is one of them. Reflecting on the past helped me to traced my wrong steps which eventually was corrected and results began to roll in. To put an end to that negative experience, maybe you just need to reflect on the past. In case you are on average, you can still reflect on the past to be above average.

At this point, I personally need to reflect on the past to get somethings right. In preparation for the much awaited bull run, setting the wrong right might be what some of us need now in order to stand a chance.

The only good thing you can do regarding the past is actually learning from it. A good example is that scam run that we had with ICO's 3~4 years back. You learn from these mistakes and move on, that's how you can get better.

The technology has evolved so much, crypto and blockchain has gotten a lot better. There may be some businesses back then that tried using crypto but failed, but right now is the good time to go digital because of the pandemic. People are trying to enter paperless billing now. There are industry grade, regulatory compliant blockhains (https://concordium.com/) that are deeply rooted in science and brings to the world tech advancements on all levels of the protocol, resulting in a blockchain unmatched in cryptographic security and transaction speed.

If you ever got it wrong before, it's okay. Remember that its part of learning and growing. You will do better this time around.

It is always helpful to reflect back on our previous actions in other to have a clear part in the future, mistakes are part of human and we will always have some bad experience that looking back would keep us wondering why!
Just recently I made a rather foolish decision to trust a project and at the end the outcome was very unpleasant for me, I felt really bad for few days and then let go, but that experience teach me to make a more sensible decision moving forward.

you know what is your main mistake?it is because you have invested in a market that you have no bigger knowledge and now throwing against Crypto investing.

Next time before putting money in any investment better learn things first and just find your way to knowledge.

Bout it is good that now you are learning and starting to at least make way into better investing career.

That's not entirely true, no matter what experience or knowledge you may think you have sometimes you still make mistakes because of the simple fact that you are human, we all have our different experiences in crypto and other aspects of life, you can not be too careful, mistakes happens all the time, learning from them is key,  and I believe the @op was not exactly throwing against crypto but rather reflecting on his past experience.

I believe I'm in a good shape today because I've learnt alot in the past, through my struggles and mistakes, actually it's good we have 'mistakes' it's the best way to move forward in this world and also for everyone who have lost many times always remember that if there is no pain there will never be gains

I've got things wrong several times and I learned from my mistakes but no matter how hard I try to avoid not making some big mistakes I still end up making one, it seems we can't escape not making mistakes, not learning from yours is the only bad thing about mistakes

It's the first step towards success that you correct yourself and learn from your mistakes. Holding onto past, regret and ego won't lead you anywhere. You should embrace your failure and look for better options for your future. There are some luck factor that may affect your result but with good precision of decision, you can minimize your bad luck while multiply your good luck.

In as much as we relate this to crypto, it's also a normal in our everyday lives, there are times when we make mistakes just because we haven't taken time to learn what ever trade we want to go in,we just start investing which might not end well, but the best is to note your mistake, learn your trade before trading,it will help reduce the risk you will face.

That is a must. You don't dwell with your negative experiences forever, take them as a lesson that you'll always learn if ever the same experience comes to you in the future, it will be an easier approach for you.

If this is related to your investing experiences and you have always invested to the wrong projects, do yourself a favor that you'll stop investing to the wrong ones and you'll research first before investing.

It's hard to get good opportunities at this time, especially if we are not always observant in reading the latest news related to crypto, so read more and always visit some of the top markets to see the development of demand volume on each token and coin.

In contrary, I wasn't throwing against investing in crypto. I was only advising people to learn from their past mistake in order to get a better result. Maybe you should read the post again. I am still in crypto so why should I throw against investing in crypto.

The most important life lessons we will ever learn will be from the bad decisions we make.We need to learn from our mistakes so that we do not run the risk of repeating them. We must develop the wisdom and sense to make good decisions and choices.

What we can do to pass everything in our life no matter what if that will bring us into the good or bad result. People must learn more and more from their all of experiences whether if that was a good or bad experience. We are running in the same way the only make it different was the result.

The life of a man doesn't go in a straight line. The way is in a curve shape. So the life is comprised with will and owe. When we cannot achieve our goal, we feel, we are failed and vise versa. But all failures do not  prove, we are in a wrong step. Trying by earnest, we can overcome our obstacles and achieve our goal. Sometimes we think, we have failed for taking wrong step but I think this one of the steps of being success. If you think, this wrong, it is wrong. If you think this is one of the trying of success, this is a trying.

You can reflect on the past, but you must plan the future, the future is where everything we dreamed of, of course, the experience is the best teacher but do not dig too deep into the past, your ultimate goal in the future, but also you must learn from other people's mistakes, there's a lesson in everything along the way.

My crypto journey has been full of errors and mistakes. But you know what, I learned a lot from it. And I thank that those experiences happened because it made me wise in my crypto activities. I think what is more important is learning from your mistakes and do your best to correct it. So next time you will make the right decision.

I have got a lot of things wrong in the aspect of life especially investment in crypto which was also the samething that makes me thrive and also makes me the best person today. Therefore, it good to make a mistake but what's important the most is how an individual learns and makes the right correction for a betterment.

To tell you the truth i did not understand what you are trying to tell here, if you have any experience it would be better if you explain what is the correlation you are trying to point out. There is no need to reflect on your past mishaps but if you remember those and make sure you will never repeat those mistakes then it would be better. Cryptocurrency market is new and everyone started out experimenting but now we have a ton of contents to read and understand and not fall for anything.

Just learn from your mistakes, then you can be a better successful investor or trader or whatever you wanted to do.But if you are doing those mistakes with huge capital and nothing left to restart when you learnt the things will ruin your life so always start with small capital.

There is no need to reflect on the past, it could bring about unnecessarily negativity.
Instead, forge ahead as soon as you make a mistake; fix it, practice the solution to a comfortable extent and continue to do your research

not bring conclusions but learn from previous experiences. I think everyone has made a fatal mistake, especially in this cryptoqurrency industry. I personally also learned a lot from previous experience about mistakes in trading. without experience we will never know the next things.

Oh pleeeenty of times. I have been involved with bitcoin for over 7 years now, I have done sooo many wrong things, I have bought coins that really worths nothing at all, I have coins that worths less than 10 dollars right now (all of my tokens) that I bought for over a thousand dollars, I have lost so much money so far that I can't even begin to calculate all the losses I made from picking the wrong altcoin.

Mainly Nano for example, I have lost insane amount of money on that, from the exchange being a scam to price going down, I have made terrible mistakes on it that can't be recovered at all. At the end of the day there is really no point on dwelling in the past and feeling sorrow for the loses you endured, just gotta look out and find that good in the bad and move on.

Looking to the past always helps me to improve, I think this might be the best way to learn because if we admit our mistakes and analyse our own actions, we transform this into life experience that helps to shape our actions on the future and avoid the same mistakes/situations...
For me, getting it wrong is a part of life... getting the same wrong twice is dumbness

Well, there is really no way you can avoid the bad results, the thing is that we should always pray that we don't happen to have an experience that is very bad to the extent of ruining everything we are fighting for.

That's why it's good to learn how we can properly manage our risks, especially if you want to be a day trader here (it's necessary for every business), though sometimes it's good to go all out and take the risk, but we should be able to know the right time to do such things and always have a backup if things go south. And as for reflecting on your past experience, that's a normal thing to do, mistakes are there to help us learn and do things the right way.

Yes, several times i have gotten myself mixed up in different decision making, and it has been my undoing to be very honest.
When we hurry to join bounties without confirming every little details, or when we rush to invest in crowdfunding platforms, without doing credibility report; it always ends woefully.

Which is why no matter the state of mind, we must be calm as we head to trade or join bounties.

Ups and downs are part of life and in money terms too i would say you win some and you lose some there is no straight path, sometimes its your good times and you come out as winner in everything you do and similarly when you hit the bad patch it seems like everything you do is putting you in trouble, try to learn from your mistakes, stay contented and move on life will be easy.

Most people simply do not want to analyse the situation or give a thought process to their failures and they just take things too casually for them to make these mistakes again and again is normal but like you said if we keep track of our mistakes we can improve or do better next time and this is actually a winning strategy.

Here is the importance of evaluation.
Regretting the mistakes made will not have any effect without evaluation. This evaluation aims to determine a more appropriate strategy, this is the learning process. Eventually we will know that this requires a process. There is no instant profit without having a basic knowledge, except luck.

Regretting will just make our head crazy. Better accept that we did have mistake and move on. Yes, from time to time, we need assessment of what's going on so we know the next step that we need to take. From our mistakes, we will be a better person or a better trader. The more experience we have, the better in attacking any problem that we will have in the future.

Nothing can be changed anymore when its all done but you get to have another chance still.

I have some pondering too after I realize I have lost a lot. And If I just decide to withdraw instead and cash it out, I wouldn't have regretted the ones I hurry to buy in the early days of the crypto winter. Anyway, things changed and I have learned to trade well despite the less capital.

I agree. We have the second chance to fix the mistake by the search for the way to fix the mistake. If we don't give up to fix the problem, we will see another opportunity to get another chance to recover, and we will get another happiness. We need to learn from the mistake so we will see the chance to improve our skills to better.

That's the best thing with a mistake, we get to learn and that I hope it wouldn't hit us the second time.
Even if we make another mistake, that will give us another experience so that can improve ourselves to have a better way to solve the problem. We will see how we can solve the other mistake in the future because we already have the experience before.

this will be a little difficult but believe it or not, my past when joining crypto can be said at the time of the bull run.
I learned about bounties and airdrops from my friend in the middle of 2017, I promoted the project and got paid but didn't sell it and still hoped the price would still rise again, stupidly I didn't sell it at the time.
really a frustrating experience  ;D

I also have a similar experience, 2017 was the year I got into crypto too, it seems there are many like us who believe the of the token we hold will increase more and didn't sell when we had the chance,

in my own case, I invested my little money buying some tokens that was recommended to me, the price did up a alot but I was too newbie to sell, was thinking the price will keep growing, lol! Now looking back at those times I feel so stupid and naive.

While I totally agree with the sentiment of what you're saying, I actually find that I'm the opposite. If I look back on negative experiences and the build up to them too much, I end up back in the same ways and making the same mistakes. I don't know why, but for whatever reason every time I become more and more like the version of myself that made the mistake in the first place.

I don't think there is anyone without a mistake or past in life to reflect on in life.  If some of these pasts are not there, then we wouldn't have had some lessons to handle the future.  Some pasts I had in crypto trading has thought me and got me improved today.

my advice You don't need to reflect on or look back on your past mistakes, if you think about it, you will feel haunted. I personally have made many mistakes and I no longer regret it. and it is important for anyone to look ahead and learn from previous experiences.

This is really good by you but everyone is not like you many are like me because my mistakes give me some serious damages and now I am really in deep troubles so cannot forget this all even trying to start new and looking for better future but these mistakes make me cry and I have nothing to throw this all out of mind.

you're right. it is important for us to always do an analysis of our wrong actions that led to some losses of money. It is also important to analyze the actions that brought you good money income. and you just need not repeat your mistakes but do those actions that brought you a lot of money

The reflection of past is very much necessary because its the key or your success in the future. The past always gives us opportunity to learn and to act accordingly so that the same things or mistakes can not happen again in the future.

Truth is, everyone at one point or the other wish they had done things differently. It affects all aspects of life and worst is how common it happens in the crypto space. We have all made great mistakes in the past that we wish we could go back in time just to correct them. Could have been through wrong investments, missed opportunities, wrong holding etc.. Bottom line is, we all made mistakes we wish never happened but the good thing is that, they shape our today and we are better off for those experiences.

seems like you have a good memory because you are able to trace your past steps and you corrected it on the current time or on the future but for me i find it hard to do that because i cant remember my past mistakes    .  im the kind of person that can easily forgot things even in a short period time , it was like i have a mini amnesia   .  but lately i said to my self that what if i record the activity that im doing and i watch it if what ive done wrong   . you guys can try out that too

My past experience isn't really a sweet one. I made a lot of mistakes here in crypto market ranging from buying high and ending up selling low due to emotions but i believe those mistakes made the foundation of how good i am now. Whle on my hunting adventure,  i lose a lot of fortune because i didn't have the right orientation and above all i made mistakes from knowing when to laid off a token

We don't have to punish ourselves for the mistakes that we make. They can be great opportunities to learn, and to develop on a personal. We just need to learn from them, and to put that learning into practice. Review what went wrong, to understand and learn from your mistake.

Failure makes us more resilient because with failure we will continue to learn not to repeat the same failure in the future, everyone will experience failure in their lives and will rise up with new energy for the next stage.

Charge it to experience and learn from your mistake.
Not just that, look at other peoples mistakes and learn from it too.
evaluate your self on what you did wrong and what will you do on the future to prevent that from happening
