Title: Is www.thedashtrade.com legit?
Post by: soffan on June 08, 2020, 07:25:57 AM
Hi there everyone!

I'm a newbie with bitcoin and just recently started getting into it. I just came across a broker on www.thedashtrade.com and I was wondering if it's really legit?

I can't see any discussions here about it and when you google the dash trade they don't even show up in the search results which I think is a bit strange since they claim to have been around since 2010.

Any input would be highly appreciated!

I think it is a bit strange when you are a newbie in bitcoin and you don't know nothing about it, but you do know how to google things. The strange thing here is the first information you found on the internet was not thousands of trusted sources of information and exchanges, it was some scammy website that doesn't even appear in google. And you created an account in order for this scam to start appearing I guess.

You can't see much reviews about them because they were created last February of this year, so that's already a factor whether if you are planning to use and trade on their platform.
And usually, we see this kind of question coming from a newbie asking a specific website as if they are not part of it maybe your case is different or not.

If it doesn't appear in google search, how did you come across to it? Mmmm, sounds like you are trying to promote this with your noob attitude.
Anyway, if you are not playing promotion games here, I suggest you not to use any site which has no good background, which is not here for a long time. Always do enough research before jumping into anything.

I don't want to be rude, but might be a classic example of Don't get tricked by hidden spam on this forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5190848.0). This is just a new website, and base on who is, just started this February. So I wouldn't even try to invest on them, with no reviews. Better to stay away so that you won't regret later.

And just look at the starting package for crypto: $300, expensive in my opinion. And that's good enough to start your own trading/investing journey without any third party.

A newbie is somebody who has little knowledge about something, that's why I'm asking. I haven't created an account, I'm just doing my research and asking about it in this forum is a part of that.

Usually when people first hear about bitcoin they think of it as something that you can collect for free and so they search for how to make bitcoins for free, and end up in places like the mentioned website.

@soffan:

Don't trust any site that only shows 5 star reviews, they will trick you into thinking that everyone only received a good service from them.

Could you start by answering how you found this site? I am very curious and I think it will help me to understand some things that I have been researching for some time. in case someone has recommended this site for you, would you mind telling me what is the nationality of the person who recommended this site to you, if it is in case someone has actually recommended you to this site

No phone, no address, no registration, no nothing!

at least other scam sites similar to this one had phone numbers and even gave meeting in countries like india, pakistan and philippines

I must say that a newbie like you will always be targeted first by this kind of scam scheme of the website you just mentioned. From first look, the website is not even safe to visit because my browser tells me it's not supported with "https" which makes more dobious site and more appealing a scam site. As new to crypto, always exercise sense of doubt if you receive this kind of site from emails or telegram chats to avoid being victimize.

I will advise you not to proceed further on that platform because I am not convince it is a legit platform. For platform that offer trading of both crypto and other regulated asset that do not have business registration number since it also involves the trading of stocks. Also they claim to you to be around since 2010 but yet all their social media accounts is absent. Those provided on https://thedashtrade.com/contact/# are unclickable although there are phone numbers and email addresses but that does not justify that it is a legit platform. The website was registered this year and not 2010

My verdict is that the platform is not legit. Hopefully, you have not deposited money on the platform. Learn how to trade yourself stop relying on brokers. If they do not return your money, you will just be dragging issues with them. You can find a list of crypto trading platforms here https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/ I hope this assist you?
