Title: Dogecoin tiktok challenge Hype.
Post by: bgaf on July 08, 2020, 06:51:40 AM
I think this is one of the coolest hype Ive ever seen which synced on dogecoin project. I know its a meme coin and its purpose has reedeem its objective. We all knew how tiktok becomes viral and thinking dogecoin would used this as opportunity to create demands well its work.

"Let's all get rich! Dogecoin is practically worthless. There are 800 million TikTok users. Invest just $25.  Once the stock hits $1, you'll have 10 grand [$10,000]. Tell everyone you know."

What do you think, how far the pumping goes? It almost reaches 50% on Binance market.

It's good to see that a cryptocurrency got viral on a platform like tiktok but as it was advertised as a good investment, it would have been better if the starter of trend went with a coin that could be a better investment. Dogecoin though do have price changes and places to make you rich, is an infinite supply coin which would not be a good investment for long run. This way the naive people may get more dissatisfaction on moving to crypto following a social trend.

Tiktok already lost 200 million users since when India banned them from their country and now America is most likely to ban them as well so this is going to get nagative impact on the project and do you really think people spending time on Toktok ever thought about investing? :P

I cant understand the hype, I mean why Dogecoin? Is there a specific reason to it beside that someone called out a challenge? Im not sure if a pump-and-dump on Dogecoin is a good way top represent cryptos on a social network.  As for TikTik itself, people will use VPNs and continue using it, even though that will decrease their user base significantly.

Maybe because dogecoin known as meme coin, and its a good representation of tiktok. Also with this hype, Justin Sun has tweeted about tiktok virial, his really king of hype just because dogecoin made one, he even announced it on his social media that he is going to focus on tron videos going viral. Holy crap guy!

It's already 54% Right now, Well basically if the timing was good i think it's easy for other crypto to pump but basically because Dogecoin was make for meme on the first place and also as we know "Doge" Or "Shiba Inu" was also meme on the first place before so that was good, atleast it's introduce the crypto to normal people especially for non-crypto people.

This is pretty funny, very unsurprised it worked. When a meme coin can outperform fiat currencies over 5 years it says a lot about the future of cryptocurrency.

As for the idea of it going to $1, good luck with that. Based on current market cap, if doge's market dominance remains the same in relation to Bitcoin, then doge would reach $1 when Bitcoin reaches $2.5 million (250x roughly). I guess it's possible, but I always assumed once BTC reaches $1m (and therefore having a market cap of $18+ trillion, twice that of gold) then it'd be on the basis of fiat becoming redundant, therefore price going "higher" wouldn't be so relevant, as it wouldn't necessarily be increasing against something of value (like gold). So in hindsight, I guess it's possible ironically. BTC could go from $1m to $100m pretty fast if fiat turns to toilet paper.

Imagining doge with a market cap of $125 billion is still hard to grasp though  :P

Dogecoin reaching $1 is funny. It's been stagnant for a very long time now and spikes were to be expected. It's just another pump that'll end into nothing more but few traders cashing in and many inexperienced traders losing money like always. If there's one coin that almost always gave traders opportunities to buy, hold and play with pumps & dumps, it's Doge. Expecting it to go to $1 is quite silly imo :)

This time to sell.

It has been going over 50% increase but it looks like the downtrend signal has already appeared. I just try to use this news to dump my doge.  :D that news will bring a short term hype only.

I am not really sold into that hype. Already sold my DOGE in late 2017 when it was really mooning before the great Bitcoin crash in early 2018. It was a funny coin indeed, but kinda surprised that DOGE still has enormous daily trading volume as of today.

In my own instinct, I think the reason these TikTokers wanna do this is for their followers to buy DOGE, and then they would dump it once they hit the target price. Just my own opinion though.

On a positive note, they create cryptocurrency awareness to TikTokers worldwide, and thats the good thing. I would definitely look forward if these TikTokers gonna have Bitcoin, Ethereum or any other coins with real use case in their TikTok challenge.

The one creating the hype must have purchased a large amount of dogecoin and now wants to dump them on unsuspecting investors.
I don't feel any sympathy to the people who would get butthurt for not being able to get a profit from the hype as it would be a lesson to those lazy sheep.
People should not come to crypto without knowing it. They should at least have some idea about the working principle and economics before jumping in to invest.

People have always used social media for pumping and dumping of coins, on an video media like Tik Tok, the users involved in such fake pumps and dump would be easily discarded if the profile is with real user pics. People are curious about crypto and such hype would certainly make people fall for the trend. It would be a negative image for crypto if people get a loss on following this hype. So, it's necessary for us to let people know the crypto market and how it operates and how dogecoins are made.

The best what current and nearest future bounty campaign could do is to run a tiktok campaign  :) The first one will be the richest.
It was obvious that cryptocurrency would one day get on a hype wave and get pumped. Few years ago only twitter and facebook were popular among social network campaign, year ago instagram started to appear amount bounty pulls. Now it is tiktok time.

As tiktok audience is new to crypto, alts like cryptocoin or token (or something of that kind) wont do. Tiktokers can be caught on the hook with something that has "bitcoin" in its name.

I am seeing a classic Bitconnect scam right here but with real and reputable coin. This is really bad to be honest. Ones investors starts dumping those coins in the market to those people who doesn't even know what cryptocurrency is, there will be news around the world on how cryptocurrency is a scam again. This kind of hype will not last long though.

I would definitely not mind if Doge reaches $1. But until then, there is still a long way to go... dreaming  ::)
In general it is interesting to see what influence tiktok can have and I'm already curious how high the price will go.

that is good thing to happen with dogecoin. Tiktok is very popular to the teenagers and middle aged in the internet today it will for sure pump the price of dogecoin when there is a huge adoption on this cryptocurrency. $1 is a bit too far from happening yet still im hopeful.

yeah, i have read somewhere that for useful coins development and new events could create upswing price action, but for a "joke meme crypto" as their founder calls dogecoin, meme could call for price upswing, but that could not be held as long term event, and it will go down sharply at the end

I have many friends using Tiktok and as far as I know, they don't know much about cryptocurrency especially a not so active token like the Dodgecoin. Probably a hype that its hard to get the attention of tiktokers, its hard to believe on this one.  :D

This is still a nice try by the Dodgecoin, let's see if they will succeed to pump the price or it will stay on its current level.

Tiktok already lost 200 million users since when India banned them from their country and now America is most likely to ban them as well so this is going to get nagative impact on the project and do you really think people spending time on Toktok ever thought about investing? :P
Tiktok originates from China and since there's a tension between this two big countries, people in India are doing their best to boycott all the possible Chinese products and even the technology, well I also heard that Tiktok will leave Hongkong as well.

Not just with that. It's now exposed that they've been hiding a spyware and various articles have been made for that to let the other knows who are not great with Cyber Security.
I hope that many people will stop using TikTok because of what it really has. But I like the idea of Dogecoin challenge but we can always do that even without TikTok.

Exactly the point is for hype. So eventually the price will go down and I can already see it happening. Traders should realize the Sell Button soon or else the profits would be gone. Im not against dogecoin, but I cant seem to understand why people pay attention with this project cause its development is clearly outdated. I will bet my money on defi project than this one seriously.

I hope that many people will stop using TikTok because of what it really has. But I like the idea of Dogecoin challenge but we can always do that even without TikTok.
Why stopped tiktok? With our current situation, I think this is a good way to pass time and ease our boredom. Yes its only a fun app but sometime, this could help us ij our stressful time like in the time of covid.

From those who see crypto / doge as a scam currency, they will surely doubt this investment
and won't bite this ideas.
Though there are also people who are already into this business that might take part but
due to what information that you provide.
For sure it will be a ride to take where open opportunities showed up and give crypto peps
to take advantage with this popular apps.

This challenge is enough to make a scene of the Doge community because it has been able to pump half of it after the Meme tiktok, yes I admit that tiktok is an application with many users today even the most best-selling application today.
But I will use the increase to sell it, I do not know how in the future it is only in my mind that this is only temporary to become viral.

I agree with you that thinks that blow up in price due to hype, have a huge downside potential. Therefore it makes sense to realize profits.

According to data from Messari, Dogecoin's trading volumes spiked close to 2,000% in two days, as 🎥videos on #TikTok encouraged users to #invest. The ShibaInu meme-based #asset's price 📈rose 35% over the same period.

When I checked Dogecoin price on CoinMarketCap this morning I saw 46% rise. It's interesting what TikTok can do for some alt-coin
price in so short-period of time. I don't think this rise will last, with Dogecoin it will be just temporary. Soon it will go back where it
was. But I think this will affect people from crypto-communities to pay attention on TikTok more!

This old coin has never stop surprising us, It was pumping on the Binance market currently at 37%. I remember way back in 2019 the Dogecoin price was also skyrocketed just because Elon Musk has tweeted about Dogecoin as "her favorite cryptocurrency" that was insane for just saying my favorite cryptocurrency and then Dogecoin price was pumping up. I think this time is not Elon Musk anymore but for the millions of TikTok users. let's observe and wait maybe we can ride the on Dogecoin train.

Doge coin is really living in the hype. What if we do it on bitcoin? Using a famous social media platform to promote or hype bitcoin at the same time just like what happened in the last quarter of 2017. History can possibly repeat itself. People now are using social media platforms for fame, interest, information, and using it to hype a coin is a very outstanding move. People today are so much attached to the challenges on social media and doing everything just to join the trend.

The challenge of reaching $1 is really impossible in my opinion because they are staying in the low price range for very long time so how can we expect such price growth.SO this is some kind of strategy involved to make profits from user's capital funds.

Lol, it's kinda impossible for DOGE to reach $1 I would be really surprised if DOGE even breaks it old ATH. Once FOMO dies off we can expect a major dump in DOGE coin. DOGE is a really good coin if you buy them at the bottom (~20-30 sats) IMO .

I get that some people could be as stupid as believing that this could potentially happen, they see that mathematics checks out and they make the calculations themselves and yes! oh my god you can make that much money. But, I doubt that the world has that many stupid people to realize that as soon as someone else starts to sell, you are not going up together, someone is getting out quicker than you with less profit but still a profit.

Looking at dogecoin right now, it is on a huge jump and for doge that is really a big deal, I can't believe that some people really fell into this trap and caused this much gain to doge and to some of the investors. Not much to do about it though, congratulations to people who got in and made some money and good luck to ones who are still holding doge until it starts to drop.

i also feel not overwhelmed earlier except to them  , idk maybe im not a fan of  doge and i dont have a doge on my wallet  plus i think the pump is small  . but im impress if its a fact that it gets pumped because of the tiktok platform . i believed that most tiktok users dont have any idea on this crypto so im still doubting yet

This is actually not an expected outcome. Dogecoin price got hyped thru TikTok, and I guess some other projects might utilize gimmick to promote. Using other platforms aside from Facebook, Twitter, and etc. is creative. This is not just a good exposure for dogecoin but for the cryptocurrency as a whole.

I agree! Using social media platforms to promote and develop the advantages will benefit the cryptocurrency world as a whole. One of the difficulties for this market is that it isn't popular to people yet. Therefore, any efforts to advertise this market to people is always helpful. I hope there will be more projects to learn from this and use it as a way to promote their coins.

There was some hype does not mean that it will reach to $1, not possible at all. There are a lot of bag holders who will dump Doge at above 100 satoshi, I will dump too if it reaches more than 80 satoshi because I will get more than 2x return if it hits 80 sat.
The goal of the tiktok challenge is to create some hype where some people or single people had planned to get some quick income by selling their doge which was bought earlier. They already have dumped to the challenge taker face.

I am sure that in the future cryptocurrency will not only one platforms such as tiktok where that are synchronized on the dogecoin project which is currently widely used by people even though in some countries there are restrictions on their use, hopefully this will be the right moment while they are still using it so the potential for pumping can reach 50%.
Dude, that news is not a news that can make the doge coin will be used as a long term investment and the pump just happened in one day and it has been starting to do down again since yesterday

I agree, I actually thought that it has only have value because of a cute dog but its blockchain is a must try for every newbies. Thats what I like about doge, their fee is not high and most of the time it is the one Im using for my transactions.

This hype really helps but we should expect a pull back on its surge. This event shows that fundamentals are really strong for coins and tokens valuation.

Just goes to show you can never underestimate the power of a community;) Dogecoin is something I would never invest in for a long term,,, but I never mind to hold a bit every now and then when I find some especially in the gambling community! One day 1 doge = 1 cent!

It is truly one of the best collaborations ever. tiktok is a hot app in countries and Dogecoin will make a lot of profit if the payment method for tiktokers is Dogecoin. In the future, I hope the good coins in crypto will be used to pay for many apps in the world. Especially the famous game app, it will bring a lot of value to the crypto market.

I'm surprised of pumping dogecoin, how can tiktok pushing dogecoin to go up? surprisingly the volume reached $1 billion wow. Seems tiktok is good for promoting coins lol. Reaching $1 price is still just a dream.

That help dogecoin to increase right now, and it seems, the price still tries to increase. I wonder if it is good news for dogecoin, how high the price can increase because if people on the social media, especially TikTok member know about this, maybe they will try to buy dogecoin too. And that can invite more new people to come to the crypto world.

Doge is cute. And young people like cute things.  ;)

What would I like to know is, how many user have bought Dogecoin and how much. Another thing I would like to know is how it all started. So what did the first posts or videos look like.

Tik tok is currently a big hype as well.Nevertheless the target group of tik tok are rather young people in my opinion
No certain age group, as long as someone uses the app, that's their target. Data is the new oil in our era and that's why every single person that use them is important to them.

Im also concern for the security. But when I saw my friends and relatives using tiktok, you can see the enjoyment they feel, though I cant argue with that if the spyware proven to be harmful on our personal identity. Anyways, the topic is about dogecoin, so we should not go overboard any topics.

Noted those sites. Thanks for sharing these links.
No problem, let's go back talking about dogecoin and it's possible connection to what we're discussing.

The challenge of reaching $1 is really impossible in my opinion because they are staying in the low price range for very long time so how can we expect such price growth.SO this is some kind of strategy involved to make profits from user's capital funds.
Yes. $1 won't happen and if we calculate the total supply. It's very impossible.

I don't know, I also can't think this will happen. the collaboration of two platforms I think aims to promote both for more and more users. or in the future, there will be developments for both platforms that will be mutually beneficial.

Maybe your late if your gonna bag some doge now. It is being listed on major exchange and recently they announced partnership with Bitfinex, they have a coin mdoge which consist of 1million dogecoin. Its like they make a short version of it. Even Binance release future trading contract with dogecoin, okex too launched marginal trading for them. I think dogecoin will be listed more on top exchanges.

The growth of Dogecoin taking place in the wake of the hype around tiktok is a temporary phenomenon, and it is obvious that in the near future Doge will fly away to where it was. We observe such surges periodically, therefore it is high time to sell at a good price. I have already done so.

This coin is the most weird coin to be honest. i never bought it  never will. Is it profitable, yes of course, that's the funny part of crypto, anything can be profitable & MAY ruin your capital when you never expect to.
DogeCoin has the biggest & strongest crypto community for sure.

Well not all investors and traders really believe in aspect. Some of them are likely bullish on hype like what happened on dogecoin. They anticipate that the price would skyrocket due to the news and take advantage of this event. Surely give them a huge profits without doing any hard analysing of the market conditions. Technical aspect is important but learning to ride hype can also give you some income. Im not saying jump in, Im not a fan of hype pump and dump too, and more conservative when it comes to trading.

I don't think dogecoin was ever dormant in any way, only people just move on to more profitable projects starting from 2017 during the bull market and people ignore dogecoin since nothing serious about the project as of then, but for some reason the dogecoin team keep pushing this project and eventually got the attention of the big exchange, and boom! Everything change for dogecoin and now the fame keeps raising thanks to tiktok.

You know it won't last long. You can see it now, the impact of the hype is over and you can see the doge has decreased. their market has been bigger than before, many people are interested but that will not make the price better. only a fast pump occurs and then a decrease occurs.

It is going down again and doge has been leaving the bullish chart. It looks like people who have been buying doge at the high price must try to cut loss before doge will be going back again to the lower price.
This is a short term hype and tiktok has nothing to do with doge coin as it doesn't even have utility purpose

Tiktok already lost 200 million users since when India banned them from their country and now America is most likely to ban them as well so this is going to get nagative impact on the project and do you really think people spending time on Toktok ever thought about investing? :P

It means the pump in dogecoin using this tiktok will not last long. And if some countries ban the tiktok then the dogecoin will dump again because tiktok will have a big impact to the users like dogecoin. Doing such strategy to pump a coin is a great idea but the problem is the result and the impact of it someday.

Maybe this is just the thought of "James Galante". The main point is "he asked to invest 25 USD each in dogecoin. This situation always results in scams even in the top coins. Although altcoins price is recovering, so won't be available to see the effect. Dogecoin is a very old coin, so there is much lower risk than any new coins, all altcoins situation couldn't be the same.

That's probably the best thing to do now, it's hard to
Predict the direction of the coin of there's no real reason why it's pumping, a simple social media announcement and app makes people to fomo in.
To those who's been trapped best to sell and cut some loses now instead of waiting for more damages.
Consider it as a wrong timing and there are lots of coins to choose in recovering your loses.

Because Dogecoin is based on a meme so when normies on tiktok found out Dogecoin, they are exploded:D
j/k The surge was not that hard to see when a meme coin makes an appearance to the mass of people that very trendy with memes.

Dogecoin is again back from the dead and this is cause by purely market hype which result to significant price changes. However, as everything goes to sudden price pump, everything with it falls.

Almost 140% price leap, with more than 500,000 tiktok users using hashtags #DogecoinTikktokChalllenge, and with many more hype to all users like:

Quote
Lets all get rich! Dogecoin is practically worthless. There are 800 million TikTok users. Invest just $25. Once the stock hits $1, youll have 10 grand [$10,000]. Tell everyone you know.

Dogecoin, with more than ~125 billion of supply, couldn't be considered the new trend coin to surge much in the future. Knowing the capacity of dogecoin from the past, what happened nowadays is only a pump-dump market action. Its hard to see people with little to no-knowledge about trading invested sum of their money or savings solely because of tiktok hype.

If Im an investor I would not rely the peice hike on hype. This is not a long term price, If theres a reason for pump due to its progress and development then its a good project and better platform. However, if you will only rely like tiktok hypes for altcoins to have some value then you are just simply dreaming. There are plenty of ways the market will be healthier like the last bull run but I hope not with this kind of reason.

Dogecoin is not having active development team or any promising project its just a hype creating or pushing coin value so don't be trap on that . I would better suggest on Defi Projects which will creat4e wealth with strong concepts.

It's sad to disappoint those who think like this, but it's true! Prices that are created by the hypes or trends can't last long. We all know that this pump will end soon enough. As a investor, I suggest others to take advantage of this hype and earn profits out of it asap. However, don't be too optimistic about this hype, we can't expect anything until there are some significant developments from the Doge team.

dont be wrong with dogecoin , it could be alternative portofolio when we stuck with our research. many times dogecoin show its power by multiple rising. defi projects only helped by its hype, many investors thinking if defi coins was good projects. meanwhile outside defi we still find good project or maybe hidden gem.

Actually the idea is good enough to increase the price of DOGE, and the hype of using TikTok in cryptocurrency is fairly fresh, there are no other
altcoins using this method. But unfortunately this way is risky, if not lucky to be stuck buying at the peak price. Because of pumping DOGE with
TikTok could not last long, the evidence is that DOGE has begun to dump prices right now.

yes, because the moment is right and supported by good news, pumping occurs, I'm not sure if tiktok users know about doge or not.
Initially the increase reached more than 90% and now it has dropped to 50%. Will the price return to normal in the near future?
whether or not it can not be ascertained that it is a planned scheme.

The dogecoin pump is not all thanks to the tiktok video. It was already know in the sector of crypto and users appreciate it for the low fees and the presence on tha main exchange. In the last months the price was stable. In bull run it will certly increase his valure but it has not a strong project behind....only memes!

Without any interesting happen to dogecoin for such a long time and only now, it got pump'd hard. Clearly, the tiktok video and people from there caught the news of dogecoin is the main reason for it to pump.
