what would be your new tactic here not to repeat the fate of your old NGIN project? what went wrong back then? why do you think that this time around you can make it in the market?

First, I have to say again, I'm not the dev of the old chain and nor the old team member. I was just a NGIN hodler then. But after they disappeared from discord(they said they were busy and unwilling to maintain the chain), I started inheriting the project name and the community, for rescuing my coins and implementing my paper.

Personally speaking, I think there are two main reasons leading the failure of the old NGIN - lack responsibility and bad blockchain development. lack responsibility is from their anonymous, but I am not and you can get almost all my info from my github and NGIN is just one of my github projects. As for the development, you can also review my code on github and experience the testnet of the latest NGIN which is developed from scratch.

I dont think it is the best time for project to make the market. But as a new blockchain from scratch, we need time to proof the chain robust and trustworthy, so publishing it as soon as we can.

Ouch, I thought this is a brand new coin which looked interesting, not a resurrected old chain by a bag holder. Thanks, but I'll pass.

LOL, and probably will dump at the slightest opportunity when coin gain some traction, this is no longer new and I bet many people are more wiser now, we have seen some of those resurrected coin never successful eventually because even the new dev who will take over will also dump when they feel like it and leave investors with bags to hold. Will be watching from a distance.

Yes it is an old project left by Devs due to unknown reasons. OP described (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5262368.msg54871123#msg54871123) the situation in above replies saying that the old NGIN has failed and he took over the project's name and domain from the old team. Important to mention that op claims to be just a NGIN holder before starting this project based on the old concept. Original NGIN can be swapped to the new one. And as you can see, most of users who commented above are showing interest on what op could reach with his idea. I have also added this topic to my watch list .

I'm never interested in revivals. They never work and always fail. Better skip this one as I'm not aware how many holders are there prior to this.

If this is not a revival then why are you going to do the conversion of old coins? It just sounds to me like you're contradicting yourself.

From technical view, the codes and papers are written from scratch designed by myself, since I had changed the origin project target after a market survey.

And swap does not try any revival either. Only men who use the "swapMyEth" tool and origin wallet file are able to successfully swap their coins. In other words, it is more like an airdrop to a specific group. The swap was finished several days ago, only few people, who are still following new NGIN, swapped their coin.

And the origin community members had paid 2 ETH for old NGIN chaindata retrieve and new NGIN's list on finexbox.com. I think it's a fair result.

This project seems to be very innovative.  I am not sure what is going on with a swap and all that, and that would color my decision too.  I see you saying it is not a revival, fine. But even if it was the technology is very appealing.  I just hope it isn't a scam like the one person thinks it is.  Good Luck!!

And is the dev running solo here? As he inherited this project from old devs, does he have a team to push thru this project? Because if he is alone in this development, the chance of getting burnt out is high, leading to potential abandonment again of the project. I hope he can really implement his new goals here before thinking of dumping his coins once it is doing good in the market. We can't remove that kind of thought, because almost everybody is doing that kind of strategy.

i was a little dissapionted after reading some more about this project, i understand that people are worried about bagholding and announcing but if built from scratch this could be a very interesting project.

but for now i am only watching
