Title: Scammers are back with another trick. Be alert!!!
Post by: suvo05 on July 27, 2020, 11:58:06 AM
Scammers are back with their old method but with another new trick. Currently, they are streaming video on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQX4hElcSU&feature=emb_rel_pause (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KoQX4hElcSU&feature=emb_rel_pause), with the video title 100000 ETH giveaway. Be alert guys.   They made the channel name Foxnews which is fake of course and they are streaming an @ethglobal video.

That's pretty cleaver. They are using the name of the News Agency and recorded video with live-streaming to create a trustworthy feeling. It's like you are watching live and a newbie or even a semi-experience crypto user will fall for this.

I think this topic needs to move to the scam accusation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) board and also the video needs to be reported. I will report in very soon.

Thanks for giving us a fair warning, already reported this scam attempts. Let's see how long will Youtube going to take it down. They're already in the hot waters lately and I do hope that they remove it before we hear some newbie complaining around that they got scam by this.

I'd probably move it to the beginners board. Scam accusations I think is generally used for internal affairs relating directly to the forum.

But yeah this scam trend is months old, still worth reporting though.

Thanks for the warning. They aren't just streaming with that scam but they are also using YouTube's ad to scam victims. Steve Wozniak has reported them but YouTube hasn't taken any action.

Ripple's ceo has already filed a class action lawsuit against youtube for supposedly doing the same thing with Garlinghouse in those same ads even though nobody has seen his ad yet. :-\
https://bitcoinexchangeguide.com/youtube-files-to-dismiss-ripple-and-ceo-brad-garlinghouses-xrp-giveaway-scam-lawsuit
So youtube has countered them July 20th saying there is no evidence in tarnishing Mr. Garlinghouse's reputation.

That's pretty cleaver. They are using the name of the News Agency and recorded video with live-streaming to create a trustworthy feeling. It's like you are watching live and a newbie or even a semi-experience crypto user will fall for this.

Fox news trustworthy? :D
Those scammers are dumber than I thought. ;)
I've been seeing Vitalik most of the time when these ads come up in the middle of a youtube video with him going
"Hello everyone!" in the gayest voice possible.
So I can see why people are falling for this kind of scam because they look at him and say "This guy will give me double my ethereum if I send him some of his own coin back"
Pure ponzi scheme. ;D

Maybe you are right. Yes, I had doubt when I said scam accusation, it was not adding up in my mind :-P

I guess I messed up and meant to say recognized new channel LOL

I am out of sMerit guys. So no merit but I wanted to give few to the OP and rdbase.

That is an obvious scam, there is no giveaway that will give 100000 ETH, which is a really huge amount of money. Imagine if you are the one who are will do the giveaways, are you willing to give all of that 100000ETH? Of course not, that is so big, it would be your big loss if you will give all of that. Do not fall with this kind of scam, even though the youtube channel has many subscribers, do no still believe it because that is fake giveaways.

I hope youtube should act upon this kind of streaming much more quickly than normal. These videos should be brought down immediately as there might be people who are too gullible to be convinced with whatever lies they say. The gall of these scammers to live stream using the names of ETH and Foxnews and using youtube as platform.

People should be reminded to consider the word giveaway as a very strong red flag.

Good share but i think it is stupid to believe that  100,000 Ethereum?only people that has knowledge about crypto will look at it because Ethereum  is now familiar to all people ,and also why wood a cryptonians buy their Trap when it is a obvious scam, since Too good to be true are  scam in all ways.

The youtube video was already removed and its a swift action made by the youtube admins of deleting it as a violations of community standards so that no one will be a victim on that scam scheme. Scammers will always find ways to fool people as always and we can always fight these scammers by spreading awareness to the community to be vigilant always on bogus giveaways and doubling sites just like what happened on famous personalities twitter hacked incident.

I tried checking the link but it says that the video was already removed since it violates the community guidelines of Youtube. I also can't find the fake channel, I guess it already got removed by YouTube. If that's the case, I think youtube is now stepping up and taking actions with this kind of scamming tricks due to some related issues.

Imagine the number of people who watched that live stream, they could have scammed a lot of people. But it's good that YT already took it down. It just shows how many people can get fooled by scammers making fake accounts and fake giveaways in popular platforms.

It might already be reported because I can't view the given Youtube link now.

This was a very obvious scam when we talking about doubling your fund upon sending or any giveaways that need us to send first before we will get profit are most commonly scam. These tricks was the same on the Twitter hack and I don't think people didn't learn from those biggest hacks happened on social media.

And I believe that They had done Twitter API compromised and tweeted fake giveaway tweets.
And I think it will continue forever because Crypto transections can't be tracked.Thats why Crypto is the most popular place for the scammers.

For companies that own large verified channels, they usually have employees monitoring Youtube for what they call unauthorized channels using their brand name and logo, and these are reported to Youtube quickly, and like other platforms with a reporting system, I'd expect report processing is done much faster if the ticket filer is a company or enterprise. That explains why it was taken down so quickly.

Well, the people who would still get scammed by this are really dumb or stupid. Lease do excuse me for saying such things but it is just what I think about people who get scammed by such ways that can easily be recognized by most of the people in this industry. I mean, you must really be so gullible to be fooled by these type of hacking schemes. Things that are too good to be true must really be too good to be true. Do your own damn research before you jump into this industry or learn the hard way. This is clearly a rookie mistake. I just hope that newbies in this industry would at least do enough research about how things work here before even get ng to invest to avoid lots of people getting scammed.

Those scammers always surprise me if they put that amount of effort and energy they do to try to scam people into another activity they will obtain a lot more money in a honest way than what they do with these scams.

I really hope no one lost their money with this scam but YouTube is full of them and yet despite all the efforts they claim to put in trying to stop this this keeps happening, this is one of the many reasons why I do not use YouTube for anything other than to watch some funny videos and the like as trying to obtain any kind of serious and relevant information out of it has become impossible.

There is many scammers that uses youtube to broadcast their scam motives, I have seen some ads about binance asking for Donation, etc. which is obviously scam. Some well-known individuals like Steve Wozniak an Apple Inc. co-founder sues YouTube over spreading this scam. Youtube is just waiting for reports, they are not preventing it, they are helping this scammers,  they should tighten their security for these ads.

This subtle way of scamming is very catchy and appealing to the gullible ones newbies who wants to get rich overnight in fact this was made to perfection while using FOX news to perpetuate the dastardly and fraudulent will look like its real thanks to OP for bringing it to the notice of the forum member and youtube bringing the video down infact the amount of give away ETH looks suspicious to me however it might attract others people. its a pity that scammers are now utilizing cryptos to scam innocent victims which is quite unfortunate and unaccepted.

I think it also...And I appreciate how the FOX news team takes immediate action before it drags their name into a worst-case scenario. We can hold these scammers to scam people and even though using this old trick seems still it catches some greedy people and find it unnoticed. Will it glad to see how the community responded to this kind of scam.

If we are all vigilant to these scamming issues we can help to minimize their activity and soon it made them to stop. Well, just to hope as well that people will also have some learning and to stay away from these fake giveaways that will come sooner.

Unfortunately even if this is an obvious fake video some people manages to get scam anyways because they're not thinking or throughly examining the video through review and sources.

There will definitely be similar scams, moreover, this is a popular platform. Fortunately, the platform is very responsive. As users, if we see something suspicious like that, we must also play an active role to immediately report it and give warnings according to our respective abilities.

Unfortunately, many people are very interested in offering large rewards. But if we analyze deeper, the rules also seem doubtful. Is that easy to get profit? too good to be true.

The video link you provided is takedown and is no longer available.
This method has happened a lot and is often done. Even the famous YouTube channel with more than 1 million subscribers successfully hacked them and carried out a live streaming video of GIVEAWAY which trapped several people to send BTC and ETH to the address given on live streaming. Do a report for scamming videos like this. Because scammers are starting to aggressively use this method to deceive people to get a lot of profit.

Yes because youtube will most probably not initiate taking down specific videos unless prompted by a large number of reports received or they simply wish particular ones to be deleted. It is either the demand to strike a particular video is strong enough or the requesting party is a huge and rich company itself. If not and the reports are a few and only coming from ordinary users, they might just overlook it and consider it not urgent. Youtube doesn't care much.

This particular method seems to be very popular with the scammers here in the cryptocurrency sector. The most surprising thing is that despite the repetitiveness, a lot of people are getting scammed. By the time we report the videos/posts and get them offline, users might have already lost a lot of their hard earned money. Why this method is used to target cryptocurrency users so often? Is it because the level of greed is higher?

New and more sophisticated scams appear all the time. People need to developme general awareness that they can become scam victims if they are not careful enough.
Don't trust different giveaways and that someone will give you something for nothing. Everything that sounds too good to be true, it isn't and there is no such thing as free lunch. Besides money you can also lose your personal and financial data and that can be even more dangerous.

People should be reminded to consider the word giveaway as a very strong red flag.

Once you have read "giveaway" in their title, start to doubt their content.

People will not give you an easy money, especially that it is not that easy to earn cryptocurrency nowadays. Scams are scams, you need to know the difference between the true and fake offers.

I just tried to access the video it has been brought down. I hope nobody has fell for the cheap scam yet. It is very absurd to work legitimately and other lazy people rip you off of your sweat.

I also tried to visit the link and the video is unavailable already. Hoping that we should be careful about the existing scams that can victimized a lot of people. People who have the money but doesn't have the know how to determine which ones are scams and which ones are legit. We need to be sure that we constantly give out these kinds of warnings on this forum to help everybody especially the new ones.

Lazy newbies and greed old timers are prone to scammers they are really the best line in terms of victims as they are not doing their jobs to study and research.

People who have the money but doesn't have the know how to determine which ones are scams and which ones are legit.

The problem with those people who are keep being scam is they are not patient enough to deal with their assessment, they just keep pushing forward.

We need to be sure that we constantly give out these kinds of warnings on this forum to help everybody especially the new ones.

Due to covid19 people are continiously losing their job and its getting hard for them to manage fund for their family.
In this worst situation scammers are taking the chance and offering free giveways to attract people. Even on recent twitter hack they have mentioned on their posts that they are giving free bitcoins to help people during corona situation. Huh. Shame on these guys who are stealing peoples fund during this pandemic. Actually they have no humanity and thats why i always call them heartless.

Running after free giveways is nothing but waste of time. Their main intention is just to make some easy money by creating a 100$ website. Keep ignoring and submit report to youtube authority whenever you find any fake giveway related live streaming or video advertisement.

This video has been deleted by Youtube for violating Youtube guidelines. Around the world people are starving for food,on the other side people go jobless, parallel to this government tries to find a solution for the same. Till now there is development in creation of more and more vaccine, but none has reached the market. In reality it'll take more than a year for the same. Until then majority of the people spend time watching Youtube. This is being used as an opportunity by the scammers and whenever we see such videos on live streaming it is our duty to report to the youtube team.

I don't know if they change addresses on the site, I'm almost sure not. But at the moment this address is empty, I'm pretty sure not.
While the counter on the site shows that Ether is being sent to them.

Just in case, I'll blank out the address so that no one has ever thought of any stupidity.

I have heard this one scamming people even doing a streaming video on YouTube mostly nowadays people are in need of financial during this pandemic we experience. This is an awareness, especially to newbies, do not fall to this kind of scam. Once other people asking for money and promise a return of big profit, and a big giveaways it is a prominent scam.

They use the situation as advantage , I also see many scam investment that promise to give high return in news  social media channel in my local country . They translated it in local then reply about the scheme in every new news update they given. We need to accept that many people will use social media platform to scam people. they will use different way like giveaway and investment scheme But there is really only one thing they want to do and that is to be able to scam people and earn money in a bad way  even in the midst of a crisis and many are in need.

It's funny that, judging by the transaction history displayed on the site, it seems that funds are sent every couple of minutes, while Etherscan shows that the wallet is empty and there was not a single transaction with it.
Everything looks like they are returning a double amount, but I think those who know how to send funds to the Ether wallet have already learned how to check it in Etherscan .

I don't believe that news. It is no other way for us to send some amount to them, and they will send it back to us with a double amount. But I am afraid that many people who watch that video will interest and send the amount because they think it is easy money for them. We need to be careful and don't follow what they say because if we follow them, we will lose our money without making a profit.
What news you are talking about, did you just read what he is telling.

I am baffled with these type of scams as everyone in the community knows that this is the new trend and still these scammers are making a lot of money and these scammers are gone beyond and started hacking celebrity accounts to carry out these type of scams. People this dumb should learn the lesson the hard way and i have no sentiment against them.

We can get important lessons from this case. First, the fraudsters will make a lot of false evidence to justify that they actually give a reward twice the deposit made, even though it is fake. And as you explained, people who truly understand this situation will not be easily fooled and will certainly analyze it directly through etherscan, even if there is a transaction, it is better to check the wallet address, so they can make transactions back and forth to their wallets alone.
Second, do not be easily influenced by bait or large rewards, especially with the condition that you have to send some funds, it is really ridiculous.

every time the mode used by fraudsters will always keep abreast of developments, fraudsters will always be one step ahead to do such dishonorable things. but every time we also always get updated information so as not to follow and experience things we don't want.

everyone is not forbidden to determine his destiny, but if you commit fraud in a way that is not commendable is very disappointing because maybe the people who are deceived are not who have more money or rich people.

if the deception of what the colleague said above certainly often happens by asking for something or providing assistance but asking for a fee for the work to be done. indeed sometimes those who experience confusion over problems and are helped are certainly very happy, but the reality received is not as predicted.

Not just doubt, I encourage everyone to just consider it scam by default if there is a "giveaway" in their title. Anything that offers free giveaway is scam unless proven otherwise. Any amount of doubt should be enough for it to be altogether dismissed as a scam. This is for safety's sake. It is better to generalize and be safe rather than take the chance and be sorry.

Sometimes, it is very hard to tell which is real and which is fake. So just set strict parameters and say no to free giveaways. After all, if it ended up real, the amount freely given away must be very little.

So we should always be careful against these types of scams.
Hope no one has yet fallen into these type of cheap trucks.

That is a very big help, you can move this post to the Beginner's or make another thread there, there are newbies there and I think that this is really helpful.

Did they report this scam to the proper authority or Youtube is still letting it go astray because they pump in numbers? Can the address be blacklisted so that they can't move the stolen funds?

I find this scammers really admirable because they are trying the most obvious scams that have been long busted and they can still garner a profit, this persistence is admirable and disgusting at the same time, to all the victims of this scam or any other kind of scam, I hope you learned your lesson because the second and third is pretty pathetic for you.

They aren't admirable, they are so disgusting, no one should admire their wrong doings towards cryptocurrency. Maybe these fake giveaway scheme is very effective for them as newbies in this platform are ignorant about the scams that was already existing.

In beginners & help, they can read a lot of information there where different ways of scammers are being reported.

Also in Scam Accusations, there are a lot of thread where they can look for those happening a and become aware what scam is.

Making mistakes should be done once and the same mistakes are unacceptable and you should shame yourself if you're getting scammed repeatedly. Learn from it and observed how they work so that you will not be fooled the next time you see their fake giveaways or attractive title that uses "EARN", "FREE GIVEAWAYS" and etc.

Thanks for your news. Scammers are always use new tricks. Those who have not enough knowledge about crypto currency they easily believe giveaway or other offer. Scammers take this chance. Scammers tell them invest here i will double it or bla bla. So be careful and gather enough Knowledge before invest or anything like this.

Of course these scammers will do anything to earn money. I just wonder why they can do these complex stuffs and yet, still scam people. With their talent in multimedia, they can actually earn money in youtube and other platforms.

Perhaps, the money they can get from scamming is far too big and easier compared to working legally.

For newbies, you cannot be scammed, if your intellect and knowledge in crypto is far greater than these scammers. They cannot trick you around and use terms that you already know.

A hardcore veteran won't fall for these cheap tricks.
Newbies who have less knowledge in cryptos often seen in trouble in these type of situations.
So it's better to step back and observe for few time.
It will surely help the newbies to get away from the scams, and the scammers will surely get tired and stop all these.
Always be careful.

Obviously, those videos are copied by these scammers and effortlessly they are getting victims by just running those pre-recorded videos of blockchain meetups coming from known crypto people.

The problem with things like this is, people know that some Alt coins will make it rain when they launch new coins and people might think that these types of giveaways are something like that. We know Ethereum has been around for a long time, but people new to Crypto currencies might not know that, so they will fall for scams like this.  ::)

The best thing to do with giveaways like this is to "Google" it and to see if it is a scam, because people who has fallen victim to things like this would turn to the internet to warn people about the scam. (This thread might come up in a Google search)  ;)

Usually news channels reach up to millions.
This channel tried so hard to fool people, ey? :D

Consider also checking the creation date of the channel in "About" section of the said channel.
Surely no news channel would be created that recently anymore unless the previous got taken down.  ???

Many people might have fallen from this scam method since they are using a news channel name to gather a lot of viewers and make them look like legitimate. Even an expert in crypto could still fall for such scamming tricks especially if they go as far as mimicking reputable company and streaming videos. They are really growing everyday in this scamming business. We need to be really careful and accept that nobody can double your crypto wallet unless you work for it or buy it. Scammers like them are innovating themselves in a whole new level. They brainstorm a lot with new ideas or with a twist and using their marketing skills to take advantage of non-crypto guys and gals out there who are desperate for money.

It’s just sad that most of the beginners and newbies fell for this trap without even taking time to verify if the Youtube channel is officially from “Fox News” or so.

If there's a money there are scammers so its not surprising them to create another method to scam people since for them this is a business and the one thing we should do is to avoid, never ever get appealed on something especially if we don't know and understand on how they earned their profits to distribute to their investors. Scammers are greedy since its their nature and we should be aware on this scheme.

Only greedy people will be victims of this scam.  What people need to understand is that, there is nothing free in this crypto ecosystem we find ourselves. It's either you work for it or buy them with your own money.  If you are a greedy person, there are people in this crypto space looking for you just to take the little you have.

So far as there are greedy people in this space, scammers will always find a way just to steal people who do not appreciate the small amount they have.

Or simply those people are the one who always assume that there is still free money in this world. Most people don't realize it yet that if someone promotes free money, it is suspicious enough that we should avoid easily. Especially if we are talking a lot of money, it is impossible to be made as a giveaway to just random people.

Even an expert in crypto could still fall for such scamming tricks especially if they go as far as mimicking reputable company and streaming videos.

Only greedy expert will actually fall for this. First and foremost, you need to know and understand that whenever a company or project is going  giveaways, they will never ask people to send them any amount of crypto coin to be double or triple for them.  Its either you retweet or repost their post. Some will just ask people to just fill out a form with their details and a particular crypto address to receive the giveaway.
Come to think of it, no expert in the crypto space will fall for this. i don't think so..

This is quite sad :-[ because I have seen these same ads not only youtube but twitter. Worst part is that people who fall for these are generally those who are at their lowest point. Person who is financially stable won't go looking for ways to quickly double his money. I think social media platforms in general should do much better job at spotting them.

It's easier to fool people on Twitter because of the verified tags.

But without scams, there wouldn't be awareness. Not saying that everyone should get scammed, but as a victim myself, I've learned to be way more wary of social engineering after that fateful incident.

That's pretty cleaver. They are using the name of the News Agency and recorded video with live-streaming to create a trustworthy feeling. It's like you are watching live and a newbie or even a semi-experience crypto user will fall for this.

https://i.imgur.com/GEMt2TM.png

I think this topic needs to move to the scam accusation (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0) board and also the video needs to be reported. I will report in very soon.

I don't think it is clever at all. Anyone who believes some new channel is giving away that much Eth is foolish. But yes using names that sound similar or even copy other well know brands and names is a fairly "clever" idea if they do it correctly. Most scammers are lazy though and just have cut and paste scams. They simply change a few things "revamp" it. There are still scams now I remember seeing when I first started using the internet they simply just new iterations of the exact same thing. If you not winning a guaranteed lottery then you are investing in magic bitcoin that produce money automatically like the ad says ^^

The video has been taken down good job guys.

Because they are greedy, they want easy profit and hoping that this offering doubling your fund will easily have to gain profit. Old trick but yet effective way to scam and fooled naive or even lazy people. I dont think why  there were always have a victim since they know those circumstances may happen or they are just a poor newbie that always wanted easy profit.

Always bear this in their mind that there is no easy money on the internet, giveaways or doubling your money will always look suspicious anytime.

Scammers are smart they always change thier strategy if they found out that the scam is not convincing, they also make a tricks and they really make a great deal for thier victim so that they can convince and earn through scam. The only way to avoid scam is always do research and be more practical to avoid lossing of funds.

if they are smart but if not so ? many scammers attempt here in the forum and on telegram but thier tricks are too basic and even a noob person can detect it   .  smart scammers are the ones that we should afraid of because they act naturally and its hard to spot them.  indeed being practical can help you avoid getting scammed because when we are practical we dont spend . being practical also triggers you to to spend on those cheap offers but be carefeul because disasters usually happen at this point

Some of the basic things needs to be correct and should always be very careful with whom you are sharing data. So, something like joining nay unknown groups, clicking on unknown sites etc could lead to danger of getting scammed. Thus, avoiding such small things will help all of us only to avoid such types of scam.

Thanks for the warning. Going through the scam pattern, i discovered that it's not really different from previous scam giveaways happening in crypto space, the usual sent certain amount to receive double strategy kind of scam. I hope people won't fall for it but nonetheless, anyone who fall for the scam is greedy and pretty dumb because it's not a new thing in crypto space that giveaways asking for prior payments are scams

The offers that these fraudsters make are known. These sums and offers cannot be provided free of charge. We do not have to fall victim to these offers. We also have to report this channel until they are stopped because there are some people who believe these offers.

I hope everyone will think many times before engaging to this kind of offer. Its better to make some research as well for additional learning because with things like this, its better to be safe than regret later on. Its kinda hard for the victims to get back their losses and I hope this scammers will be captivated.

no human criterion can determine how that person will do, whether it will be good or bad.
we cannot blame that technological development actually makes people want to continue to try no exception by committing fraud by taking the rights of others.
It could be that the first thing to do is just try it out, but because you feel you can and it is very profitable, then it is used as a profession to seek profit for yourself.

I really believe what hackers do, they realize and know that what is done is not commendable, but because what is done also produces, hackers really enjoy it. we can not prevent such actions because they end up continuing to try with their intelligence to carry out dishonorable actions. what we can do is to avoid them from being able to hack what we have with more caution.

Hello to all. Yes, fraud is as old as the world. Of course, any illegal withdrawal of money from the population, through fraud, is already somewhere, once was. It's just that now it takes on new frames and outlines. There have already been similar topics here, just in order not to fall for such tricks, you need to understand several principles for yourself. Well, on the example of YouTube and the video about Buterin, I think you need to include logic. Very few people now do not know that the crypto market is a market with very good liquidity, any top coin can now be quickly bought and sold quickly, the conclusion suggests itself - BTC, ETH and a few more coins are, today, money, currency. In the situation with the video about Buterin, it's like being asked from YouTube to put $ 1,000 into an unknown bank account, and in return, after 5 minutes, you will receive $ 10,000. But no matter how this scam was too obvious and predictable, people probably manage to fall into this trap, otherwise they would not broadcast this video from morning to evening. I would like to ask why such videos are allowed to be broadcast, and why Buterin himself will not announce in all media that this is a scam. In general, this is the crypto market - here you have to be on the alert in double ...

Whoever fall for this scams will fall for anything because there is nothing like crypto giveaway that will tell you to send part of your coin in order to get double. This is completely dump. Despite of media report of this scam giveaway, people are still falling for it daily https://twitter.com/whale_alert/status/1287409105704038401?s=20
This because many are desperate to.earn though others still being careful with transaction by giving a little amount just to try how it really true but then since it is a scam.the  pretty sure after giving a part of bitcoin and the promise to double it does not happen then even the little part of it being given was then being scam already.

Bitcoin giveaways is an old trick.in scamming but still it is very effective. Many are being still scam on this because of lack of education.

What a way to trick newbies. But let's face the fact, is like YouTube is concern with the money they are collecting from advertiser and not the content. This video has been reported and I am still amazed that it is still up and running. It is only those who are doing genuine videos that will be receiving strikes.

That crypto doubler in an instant still exists. Poor investors but anyway like I always said, investors will not learn if they will not experience it so let them be scammed so that they will learn from it

some youtubers in my country have many hacked YouTube accounts, so scammers do live streaming with the same crime mode, I always report every video that I find like that and report as spam or mark as fraud, many cases like this and not only only on social media but also to the YouTube platform, hopefully the culprit is caught, the more important thing is there are still many beginners who want to send their money to get a lot of money, they should realize there is nothing free in this world

If you are in crypto world for a good period of time then I am sure that you already notice this kind of scam attempt. Newbies should be wary of it especially those greedy ones who like to earn a huge money without doing anything.

Their laziness will surely their losses if they will fall to this kind of trick. For us who have known this trick for a good period of time, it will be best if we will do our part like we will report @ethglobal video to youtube so they will be banned permanently.
And we will keep doing it even if they will create a new streaming channel again as our small way in fighting the scammers.

But, why is this still in Bitcoin Discussion?

Anyway, how you get this kind of video?
Is it being recommended by Youtube because you are looking for something that is near that?
Mine is full of kids show, food, sports, and some in trading. But I have never been recommended for that kind of video. Never.
I am just curious coz that's how Youtube works.

This is a method often used by scammers, by offering giveaway and make doubling money instantly. In my opinion many people
are too greedy, so do not think logically before acting. So there are still many victims who are deceived, even though it's very simple,
just stop sending money to strangers by expecting more money.

true, nowadays people want to get instant profits without seeing the pros and cons before taking action. added the day that fraud always carries out renewable innovations and if we are careless in anticipating it, we can be sure that we will be lulled and in an instant what we want to hope for and will disappear and is not proven.

we are given reason to think clearly, do not believe too much that there will be people with beautiful words offering something without any request behind it, especially new people known.
all treatments are not free, of course there is a separate intention to expect reciprocity from all gifts.
this principle should be a benchmark if someone offers something, it can be ascertained that there are certain elements behind it.

Once you are greedy or desperate of getting rich quick then you might as well gonna do this.

Everyone is capable of doing something when they were desperate in needs but for the people who only did it for fun has something in their minds which is needed to repair. Although this kind of scheme is not new to me but for the people who encounter it first should ask someone for help and stop falling to this kind of trap.

This is somehow similar to the the image asking for sympathy like "type amen before you scroll down" in Facebook and many other pages with different kinds of tricks. I will elaborate them all since it might take more time but people please be wary and do your own research before you click.

'Desperate times call for desperate measures.' Have you heard that expression before? I guess so. But this is the job of individuals who don't have the conscience that they are ripping someone else's hard-earned money, those who can swallow the fact that they are eating someone else's food. And there are a lot of people like that. With cyber scammers, they don't care where they got the money, as long as they got it, that's what matters to them. So if you are a crypto user, don't be tempted with these too-good-to-be-true offers, because there's nothing like that.

Surely, we can expect nothing less from those scammers because once their scheme have already been spilled out or have already known by the public and have been aware of it, they will surely get back with something new and a lot more innovative to victimized other people. They always inhibit the saying of "If there's a will, then there is always a way". Scammers as well as hackers will surely do anything for the sake of money and that pushes them and motivates them to get along a new trick or way on how to scam or hack other people to obtain their property and make it their own.

Good thing that there is always a member of this forum who always keep every other member be aware of such new scam schemes so that no other people will be victimized by such actions. May this serve as an alert notification for everyone to always be alert on keep themselves safe from such and as much as possible distance themselves from getting caught up on those scam tricks.

Lolz these people are tooo funny. Well, it’s not something and nothing changed about them, this is not the first time I’m seeing this trick, they have been doing it in the past. They will be streaming a video on YouTube and pretending to be from Ethereum organization and then they will deactivate the comment section so that they won’t get busted.

I hope some newbies don’t come across their videos on YouTube and quickly send money to them because they will just lose that money for good. They have been playing this trick for a very long time.

We find very many fake giveaways on YouTube platforms, so that's Educate ourselves to avoid becoming a victim of fraud.
Usually newbies are the most victims of fake giveaway, because most newbies want instant profit. So don't be careful when
finding giveaways, don't check first whether the giveaways are real or fake.

This also happens in my country, where someone's YouTube account in my country who has 3 million subscribers was hacked and was livestreaming the token sale on the project. Yes, take someone's video project then stream it with a different token sale address. more and more platforms are being used as scams.

Using the name of a news company? super shady, I wonder how many people are still falling for that beginner level scam?

I've seen this kind of scam already in a lot of social media platforms so I hope people won't get baited on this.

Everyone is just trying to make something even if it’s illegal. I do not just understand why people refuse to work hard and rather depend on unacceptable ways of making money. Let’s all be vigilant and we will won’t fall for these tricksters.
It's because scamming people is easier than having a real job. Also, you don't need to invest a lot, you just need the internet and make a video, that's all and ready to scam people.

I dont think thats surprising right now because cryptocurrency are such a valuable asset. The police may be very easy to spot scammer in the real world, but they will have a hard time finding scammer in the crypto world and I think this is also a factor why fraud attempt continue to increase in the crypto world.

I dont think scammer are only targeting beginner, but anyone would be a potential target. Therefore, in my opinion, we all have to be careful and do not easily believe the lure.

-
We can get important lessons from this case.

These scammers are stupid enough to create a real appearance of what they are suggesting.
Their whole plan collapses after checking their wallet in an explorer.

But imagine that the scammers are so rich that they imitate the distribution of coins, and Etherscan shows that the coins are sent back in double size, but at the same time all borrowed wallets belong to the scammers.
This is difficult to verify, and one wants to believe in legitimacy right away.

These scams pose a real threat.

In the cryptocurrency space, you must always be on the alert. Fraudsters do not sleep and look every day for a loophole in any information space to rob our wallets. I will never react to suggestions if at least I doubt it a lot. Usually I only react to what is checked by trusted people. Well, basic internet security will make your assets out of the reach of fraudsters.

That is an obvious scam, there is no giveaway that will give 100000 ETH, which is a really huge amount of money. Imagine if you are the one who are will do the giveaways, are you willing to give all of that 100000ETH? Of course not, that is so big, it would be your big loss if you will give all of that. Do not fall with this kind of scam, even though the youtube channel has many subscribers, do no still believe it because that is fake giveaways.

yes it's a fake giveaway, don't be fooled by things like this. I also think the same as you, it is impossible if someone wants to give 100 000 ETH, if I have 100 000 ETH I better help my brothers who are in trouble and hold it until the price of ETH goes up even higher.
Currently there are so many scammers in cyberspace, therefore we must be careful, and pay attention to everything we do, if there is something like this we better avoid it so we are not easily fooled.

Nice catch OP.
If you ask me I would say that's a new method using a old trick. they are using streaming services to get some more attraction to the service they provide which is new but still they are promising some kind of giveaway(100000 ETH is this case) in order to start tempting the newbies who are looking for some free money inside the internet which is pretty old method. I would say nothing is free on the internet specially the money unless you are the product. Even streaming on well-known the environments like YouTube won't guarantee anything.

Nobody will dispute that facts. Though, if they choose to come back with good and curling tactical method of getting funds from the gullibles we should be more alerted when they get start. Series of these online streaming videos are cut types and those with greediness can only find theirselves into this mess. BTCBTC I tried checking the link but it says that the video was already removed since it violates the community guidelines of Youtube.

As someone who constantly checks the projects posted under the ANN boards for plagiarized whitepapers, ponzi schemes, and fake team members, I can definitely say that there are several projects that are couched in a way that look genuine facially. Scammers nowadays are evolving and they are exhausting all the means in order to abuse and trick these investors.

I just want to remind everyone to please double-check before you invest your resources in the project. In addition, please check the project if there are any open scam accusation against it or check their profiles if there are any flags imposed upon them. Let's help each other and make this forum a better place so we can invest safely and surely among some promising projects.

It's not so offensive when your resource contribution to the project is limited to posts in social networks, blogs, and video sites like YouTube. You actually didn't spend much time, and the fact that the final payment didn't happen is of course upsetting, but not critical. It is more sad when you invest a large amount of money in a project as an investor and as a result it flies to the wallet of some fraudster. Please be careful when sending money to someone.

The first is Facebook, Twitter, Google advertising now to youtube, scammers are very creative to find ways to make money from people. They insert false messages into videos of celebrities and make people believe they are real. I do not trust those messages, perhaps only newcomers to this market are fooled so easily.
We need to do something for YouTube to censor the content and not to expose fraudulent information to everyone. They are making the crypto reputation worse.

What a way to trick newbies. But let's face the fact, is like YouTube is concern with the money they are collecting from advertiser and not the content. This video has been reported and I am still amazed that it is still up and running. It is only those who are doing genuine videos that will be receiving strikes.

The video has since been removed for violating their terms and conditions. I guess YouTube heeded to your call.

It is good that YouTube took it into consideration, I think this video was removed thanks to this guys. But the pity one thing is that lots of people had already watched this video. The most sad in this situation is that lots of newcomers might believe in this because of the lack of experience. It would be great if all people from the crypto society be so conscious as the author of this s topic.

Do people still don't figure out the scams? Still, there are so many people that are getting interested in bitcoin and cryptocurrency meaning there are so many newbies that don't have knowledge about these scams.

It's not just about greed. Yes, greedy people fall for tricks more often, because when they see a freebie, critical thinking turns off.
But among people there are those who just want to get a crypt just like that, and those who do not have the funds to purchase it. For example, the participants of the Airdrop, are they all greedy? I think no.
The main problem is not greed, but the laziness of the mind of people who do not check information before using it.

And another group of people who will be victims are those who are always interested in giveaway or looking for give away sites ..... Thanks for the information it was helpful

The main problem is not greed, but the laziness of the mind of people who do not check information before using it.

The key part of the reason why people who are entering giveaways and airdrops are not able to think critically is because of the fact they don't know much about cryptocurrency industry in general and how it works in particular. They maybe have heard many stories about beautiful times when cryptocurrency airdrops were used solely for the purpose of gaining attention of the community. Presently, airdrops and giveaways are practically worthless due to the fact we have many succesfull projects already and the possibility of finding another gem is significantly low. Scammers are perfectly aware of this situation and therefore busy creating fake giveaways in order to collect more valuable coins from people who still haven't found out anything about what is valuable and what is not. For example, naive people are still ready to exchange their valuable bitcoin for a couple of shitcoins. That is the main problem. It also works when it comes to bitcoin doublers. People don't value their hard earned bitcoins and are ready to give them away to another scammer. That is not greed or laziness I would say, it is simply people don't value their time, their labor and, more importantly, themselves.
