Title: [SCAM] Sportsbet.io (Withholding funds from 24.07.2020)
Post by: Rigor1899 on August 01, 2020, 11:40:28 AM
What happened:
Recently I have ran into a withdrawal problem with sportsbet.io after ~15 bets. I was accused of multi-accounting, but they didn’t provide any evidences or any explanations! I thought that there was some mistake and tried to explain, argue to the support agent that I recently registered this site and EXACTLY I was not registered on it before. In reply to my email, I didn’t receive any new information, they just wrote to me that "YOU are not profitable for OUR business" and therefore they are ready to give me only my deposit, but not MY EARNINGS!

After that, I decided to take at least my deposit (so as not to lose it) and check some reviews about this fraudulent site. In short, I found many cases, one of the most resonant on this forum is perhaps neymarjr12. I was browsing the entire thread and was amazed at the eagerness of many of the authoritative and respectable users of this forum who are ready to help (especially impressed with the efforts of Royze777, he seems like a great buddy in real world).
Reading the discussion, I saw a lot of arguments indicating that sportsbet.io could prove the accusations by not disclosing information about their algorithms and methods, but nevertheless - they don't seek to do this. After only a week of discussion, Steve agreed to a compromise in the form of a third-party solution to the situation.
Also I had an idea to highlight my case and the cases of other guys in other forums, including both international and our local forums (Russian forums and groups of like-minded people), because a huge number of Russians do not know English well enough and post something to an international forum it is a big problem for them. And the discussion on Russian forums has no effect on sportsbet, also their representatives are not available there. This is probably why they consider it possible to selectively decline withdrawals under the auspices of "multiaccounting". By the way, what if, after publishing 10 or more cases, the owners of other accounts see each other? @Sportsbet.io, are your investigations really fair and impartial? Or, for example, you can send accusations to 5 different people and list 4 accounts of other people to each of them, because they will not know about it due to the fact that they are not even aware of each other's existence. Looks like a perfect scam.
I noticed that there are a lot of comments and jokes like "these are trifl coins", "these are pennies, why should sportsbet do this?" Now try to imagine that this amount (0.2-0.3 BTC) is multiplied by thousands of users from Russia every day. More than 3 000 000$ no longer seems like a penny to you, doesn't it?
Unfortunately, my account was disabled before I could take any screenshots, but I can at least attach transactions from my wallet.

Am I the only here reading the screenshot as blurred image? Can you re-upload a more clearer image quality. I can't relate to you because I don't want to judge immediately without reading your proof.

By analyzing carefully your post construction, I assumed that you are only using dummy account because you want to stir up your case to neymar case. Anyway I really want to know the truth too since I'm a sportsbet user too and my funds safety is in-line with this issue.

Looking forward to more clearer picture.

Stop shitposting, everyone is aware that OP posted from new account.
Genuinely wondering why it only seems to be Russian ‘noobs’ that post about ‘problems’ with sportsbet here?
I would say it is irrelevant, casino accused player and decided to seize funds allegedly because of multiaccounting, from that email I can only see "it's my word against yours"  :-\

I'm not doing shit posting here dude or maybe you didn't read my stand. I'm using mobile version and I already download the image which is still blurred. Do I need to send the screenshot here? Don't get me wrong I'm not supporting any side here. I'm a player on sportsbet.io that's why I become interested on this topic.

I'm risking more money than both neymar and this OP in sportsbet.

Seems like this is another case exactly the same, I think there’s a lot of this going on.

More players seem to be arising with similar issues because they can see others in the same situation. I wonder how many players sportsbet.io do this to every day? And how many have to just accept it because they don’t know where to make a noise.

I am sure Steve from Sportsbet.io will also look into this one but I am worried by the amount of complaints recently. I am sure it’s not Steve’s job to be involved in all these disputes and realistically how many can he get involved in.

Sportsbet.io need to get their shit together by providing more proof to users of their claims

ps I can read OP’s images all fine. The entire email chain is visible.

I suppose they went too far in the case of neymarjr12, because if they steal small amounts, many players will simply get away from it and will not make a noise for small funds.

Yeah me too.

It's pure coincidence you started sportsbet.io, do you allow the use of VPNs? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5263916) before anyone actually mention VPNs.

Now army of newbie accounts all registered through vpns from Russia crying that their 15 mBTC accounts are disabled.  :D

Let me guess neymarjr12 also registered through VPN?

Black PR or extortion attempt, which one is it?

I started that thread because I use Sportsbet.io through a VPN. Not breaking country restrictions but to protect privacy and I had seen some posts mainly the neymar topic and I want clarification that VPNs are allowed.

I imagine more cases have come out of the woodwork because of reading the neymar topic, nothing to do with me.

Users are most likely to be new rather than established as they will find these posts through google.

I have however decided to stop using sportsbet.io for a while until all these issues are resolved.

Hi, I have the same issue since Monday, I have been following cases on the forum and I did not want to end posting it, but I have no option since I have not even been given a solution yet and today they blocked me from the Live Chat for asking them to not keep on sending me automated responses.

Moreover, I have not received a reply by email for 3 days already. On Monday I sent them several docs for KYC and did the Veriff thing (which was stated on the App to be successful) but they do not unlock my funds yet, they do not return them to me. I am also being accused of multiaccounting, and I was given several usernames, but obviously I denied any involvement since I just have ever had one account and so only used one.

What have brought me the biggest concern is to seeing SO MANY cases against this site, I could have never imagined that I was giving my trust on a site with such complains.

Furthermore, I am not confident on submitting the case on AskGamblers since I have seen several members stating that they are not the most neutral body since they are being sponsored by casinos. I do not mean to bring negative/positive feedback to anyone, nor to harm their image, I just want my funds back and forget about this story once and for all.

Therefore, I believe the best is to post it on this forum.

If I haven't missed anything this looks exactly the same as te previous one. (Neymarjr)

What now? Just because sportsbet.io's ToS is a shitty one and they made neymarjr happy, are we supposed to ignore these new scam accusations?

Just wondering.

Edit: I am also starting to think of the potential fabricated attacks on sportsbet.io too. GP is on it?

Time to assemble our pro investigators team once again. :/

GP on it - are you referring to ourselves? (Get-Paid.com)
The attacks don't seem to be fabricated, it seems like a person in the security department of SportsBet.io has decided to use the ToS in their favor and make life really hard in overturning these decisions (e.g. just like Neymarjr's decision that wasn't even disclosed).

I definitely agree with your understanding of where it goes - I've been saying it before already and was attacked for getting involved in something that is not related to me - so fine, I'm not getting involved with this anymore - but just FYI the writing was on the wall.

It is different and a similar thing is happening to me, to which I have not even gotten a resolution yet after one week anxiously waiting.

As far as I can see, many people are having similar experiences. I have sent a PM to the site's representative on the forum asking for assistance, but if nothing comes around, I will post the whole story on the forum as well.

We just want our funds back (on my case, they are practically just withholding my deposits, as I had a tiny profit).

I don't know who you are or what you do. I meant game protect, the famous troll.

It is just becoming more suspicious to me seeing these scam accusations coming one after another.

I also saw that VPN/sportsbet.io thread. Maybe somebody is trying to pull something with VPN+multi accounts... I don't know.

OP might be genuine too. I don't want to get involved  at this point that's why I deleted my earlier post.

I believe many of the accusations are real, and not because of my opinion, but for my experience.

I opened an account, tried to withdraw and it was declined. Ive been one week waiting without even receiving proper communication.

I do not mean to accuse anyone of scam here, but since not even having a resolution after a week, for doing nothing illegal, I believe the OP's accusations to be legit.

What is the latest with this? Did Sportsbet get in contact with you?

I suppose they went too far in the case of neymarjr12, because if they steal small amounts, many players will simply get away from it and will not make a noise for small funds.

Hi, Steve
There is no 51,942 mBTC, look into the transaction: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/80baa596ce38385231517b77c27b14ce0af6d79236c2d4ef0a8b6808f610e986 - only 31,1 mBTC
I didn't receive any other withdrawals untill today.
As well as any explanations or evidences. Without them, your decision to take my money is a direct scam, unfortunately. Very similar to 1xBet

Look more closely at the print in the screenshot: it says "Deposits to be returned", and that's what they did. They confiscated your winnings on the basis that you were multi-accounting.

For only a simple 'suspicion' of multiaccounting they can not be confiscating funds all around without even provide costumers with proper communication and evidence.

This does not prove you sent OP the correct amount, also the TX the OP posted indicates that the amount he is quoting is correct and that you have not paid out the users full balance.

It shows that even if you win a bet, it’s not won and it’s not your money until it’s in your wallet. That’s not a nice reputation to have?

So far, no comments or any evidences. Well, I will send link on this for other forums, I think more than one person has encountered such a problem.

What's the rationale for multi accounting in the first place? Collusion on poker?

It's mainly to take advantage of bonuses but there are other reasons. Like for example, to have a bunch of accounts all place bets on a Russian table tennis match with inappropriate odds to get around the maximum bet limit for the match. I have no idea if that's what's happening here, its just an example.

Ahh OK, makes sense. I use betting exchanges which don't have bet limits, so I wasn't familiar with why someone would want multiple accounts.

Thanks!

Rigor1899, you should create a flag against sportsbet.io as they will keep on ignoring the complaints against them anyway.

We need to take action. I have just created a flag for what happened to me (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2203 ) and we will only stop this fraud together.

On the surface it seems highly unlikely Sportsbet would scam or selective scam a user for just 0.020942 BTC after sending the original deposit of 0.031 BTC

@Rigor1899 - what exactly was/were the reasons your account was frozen? What were the reasons given to you that you could have 0.031 BTC returned to you but you could not have 0.020942 BTC that you claim you are owed?

Do you give Sportsbet permission to confirm or deny your claims?

I am having a similar issue but in my case they are just not giving me any information. Plus my case involves a greater amount of money $18,000. They have disabled my account and said that I was multi - accounting. I admitted to them I did have a previous account and I was not aware of their multi accounting rule. the only reason I made new accounts was because after I had made profits it stopped letting me place large bets; it was as if the user was restricted.

Anyway, for almost 20 days I have had this issue and they have not returned any of my money back at all. I have been as patient as possible and I can see exactly why you say this company is scam.

That one sounds fucked up. $18k is your profits or it was your initial deposit? They seem to always return the player's initial deposit. If that money was your winnings, you are probably not going to get it.

If you admit you breached their ToS why are you posting here? What are you trying to achieve?

You clearly stated you breached Sportsbet ToS because you were unaware of their rules. Well, now you are aware of their rules and you are aware of the reasons why they suspended your account.

It is time for you to find another casino or sports betting website but when signing up whether you read their Terms and Conditions or not just make sure you do not have more than one account logging in from the same device or using the same IP address etc

In my opinion Sportsbet is not a scam. The company that owns Sportsbet have a multi-million USD$ turnover. I have seen nothing in any allegation made against them in this forum that categorically proves they are scammers.
