Title: Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer review campaign.
Post by: Go-Overt on August 10, 2020, 01:38:48 PM
Hello, the community!

Welcome to Go-Overt (http://bit.ly/2Vg1kPR) bitcoin mixer partner of Jambler (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4667343.0). We are happy to announce our platforms with the great bitcoin community 'Bitcointalk'. We are more excited to launch a mini "honest-review" campaign to improve our platforms. For the test our mixing service, we will select 10 people who will receive 0.0013 BTC from us to test our mixer.

To know more details you may read our official announcement thread.  (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5267588.0)

How does the mixer work?
https://[banned mixer]/images/scheme-1.png
source: [banned mixer]

Terms & conditions:
1. Since our test review campaign has limited spots, we only allow applying above Sr. Member. It doesn't mean below Sr. Members aren't experience, we are limited with the spot.
2. Post your Bitcoin address only if you want to review our mixer. We will send the fund to the selected person and we will announce to whom we have sent the funds.
3. We will send 0.0013BTC to each participant to test our mixer. We are encouraging to use "Start Bitcoin Anonymization" to mix coins, (Service fee: 4.9% + 0.0007 BTC) and minimum mixing amount is 0.005BTC. But you may use "Mix Coins For Free*" option if you don't want to use your own funds. Usually; participants will use their own BTC address during mixing so the amount remains after mixing will reward for the participants. Any additional reward will not be sent to the participant for this review campaign. ( Network transaction fees may apply.)
4. The exact 0.001BTC has to send if you want to test on the "Mix Coins For Free" service. So we are sending you 0.0013BTC which would cover your sending fee as well.
5. You don't need to make a new reply with your review, just edit your application with your honest review. Of course, we will be happy to see your honest review and feedback on our official announcement thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5267588.0), but it isn't part of review campaign and totally dependent on you. We will appreciate your feedback to improve our platforms.
6. This isn't like first come first serve system. We will manually select the participants. You may proceed with further action after receiving the fund.

* Participants will be selected by Coolcryptovator (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1980983) and funds have been escrowed to him. So the funds will be sent from Coolcryptovator's wallet.

I am holding the fund and will select 10 user. I will update here the users list.

It would be better to use an electrum wallet address or any other wallet where you can adjust transaction fees manually in order to save fees.

Fund has been sent to below participants: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/041113e13cfc2745967189c9c9e3d0c2c306ae6d4782dfeb1d3b07f13e5551ea (https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/041113e13cfc2745967189c9c9e3d0c2c306ae6d4782dfeb1d3b07f13e5551ea)

P.S: I have experience in this field and would like to be part of the campaign.

Edit: Amount has been received and sent to mixer. Waiting for network confirmation + 6 hours for final transaction by mixer.

My review:

The reward has been received and immediately sent to the Go-Overt mixer for testing purposes. As explained on the thread, I have chosen the second option which lets the users try the mixer for free. The first choice is a bit expensive for an average mixer user, so this time I skip this option due to the high fees in both mixer commissions and transactions. The general experience is B+ for the mentioned reasons below. The smooth and easy user interface helps the user to start the mixing machine without wasting any efforts for additional things. There is no need to fill different blanks for getting the clean coins from different large crypto exchanges. After choosing the free mixing option, the page has forwarded me to the BTC address section which shows the receiving address and Letter of Guarantee. As expected from pro-crypto user, first I have downloaded the copy of LOG before sending my BTC to the mixer. Everything is automated but the general info on the specific page was not up to date. The 6 hours manual delay is not a good idea if there is no option to slide the bar for choosing instant or delayed final mixing transaction. After the first confirmation, the mixer automated system has sent my clean BTC with the 134 fee per Byte mining fee due to the high network congestion. Overall my experience was satisfying but the website can be more professional along with lower mixing fees. I will use this mixer in the future if the administration can apply SegWit address support. Good luck!

So you're paying 0.0013 BTC but 0.0010 BTC has to be sent back for mixing? Does the participant then get the 0.0010 BTC again after mixing?

4.9% fee is outrageous, that's my free honest review for you.

I'd love to test your mixer.

PS: Its a greenwallet address, so I have some control over fees.

edit - Testing ..

edit 2 - More than 24 hours have passed. Did not receive the coins back yet.

For free mixing, network free may apply. Usually, participants will use their own BTC address during mixing, so the amount remains after mixing will reward for the participants. Any additional reward will not be sent to the participant for this review campaign. Thanks for point out that issue.

@OP, you can mention it on the main thread to be clear.

I would love to take part on this and review your mixer  :)

This is my past review that I remember, I also made a review on the other mixer but can't remember their domain haha, Thankyou!

So I just tested the website and before sending coins, there's something wrong with your UI.

The "Start Bitcoin Anonymization" and "Mix Coins For Free" mixing page are both displaying the same min and max bitcoin that can be mixed in. You said that we can send 0.001BTC using "Mix Coins For Free" so I think the displayed text there should be change:

https://i.imgur.com/ELbpKtH.jpg

And also honestly the fees are so high! 4.9% and 0.0007BTC are extremely high if you are going to compare it to other mixing service.

After I send the 0.001BTC using "Mix Coins For Free" I just want to say that I am happy that it's instantly detected by the system! Some mixer are needed to be reload to see that progress of your mixing but this one is actually good!  ;D

https://i.imgur.com/pNnVHdB.jpg

I also read that "no logs" is part of your features but actually it can be a bad one cause some people including me are looking for logs so you can check your mix anytime. Some mixer have a logs but also have an option to delete that instantly after the transaction or, it may be good if you have an option whether if the users want their transaction to be log or not.

After 6 hrs I receive the coin that I mix with no fee, I fully receive the 0.001BTC and what I see is that, there's something wrong with your calculator at "Mix Coins For Free" page.

It says that:

https://i.imgur.com/803WZZV.jpg

So basically, I am thinking that I will just receive a 0.00025BTC but I fully receive what I mix so you need to fix that.

In summary:

  • Need to fix the UI different of "Start Bitcoin Anonymization" and "Mix Coins For Free"
  • Need to lower the fees if possible
  • Not logging of data should be an option
  • Delay time should have customization not a fix 6hrs
  • Need to fix calculator on "Mix Coins For Free" page

In overall, it's a fine mixing website with a minimalist design and easy to follow instruction but yeah, there's a lot to fix to maximize user experience at your website.  :)

I hope my review will be a big help for you guys  :) Thank you!

I would also like to review this mixer. Here is my BTC address.
bc1qvwhwwc084heqddnfj2canwscnk09d7waneaxc6

Review: I received the fund. And try to mix it free. At first I confused by seeing minimum 0.005 BTC  have to send. That also noticed by other people here. Unfortunately I send 0.0012 btc with 50 sat/byte fee. It’s seems 135 confirmation from my wallet tnx history. But I did not receive any BTC to my output address. It’s already  20+ hours gone. Even I did not receive the fund back to my sending wallet. So what will if anybody send any big or little amount than 0.001 btc unfortunately for free mix?

I would like to test if selected.
bc1qn79qagtmj5d276q0evprvjz42dqa7dnth3yx6z

Funds received and I just sent (https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/b54573a61b0509a40e94b11bcce6dafc8ae74e918fbf35dd9529eca4107ac38f) them to the mixer at 13 sat/byte fee. Let's hope it gets there soon :)

My first impressions of the mixer were good. The website says the mixing process will finish in about 6 hours after the first confirmation, which is pretty fast imo.

However, I noticed a few details in the website which were ambiguous:

First, the first screen in the website says that the minimum amount to mix for free is 0.001 btc
https://i.imgur.com/193wxUw.png

However, when I click to mix for free it says that the minimum is 0.005. I think this information is incorrect.
https://i.imgur.com/htiblmF.png

Finally, the simulator shows incorrect information as well. If the mixing is free, I should receive back, at minimum, deposit - fees. But the simulator is charging 5% plus 0.0007 comission (which should not be charged in free, right?)
https://i.imgur.com/yU2Tidc.png

Please verify these information in the website, as people who want to mix small amount of coins may be confused.

Update 1:

Mixing finished, and I already received all my coins (0.001 BTC) in a 127 byte transaction., about 4 hours later.
Already confirmed.

Thank you Go-Overt.

My last comment will be the 4.9% fee.

I will suggest lowering fee for high values. For example, 3% for 0.5 BTC, 2.5% for 0.7 BTC , 2% for 1 BTC and 1% for more than 2 BTC, something like that.

Good mixing overall, but quite expensive for high values. There are cheaper mixers out there. Just a suggestion.

Update 2:
Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer addressed most of may suggestion, making the website easier to understand.
Happy to see they are open for suggestions.

So you're paying 0.0013 BTC but 0.0010 BTC has to be sent back for mixing? Does the participant then get the 0.0010 BTC again after mixing?
I guess we receive the mixing output as usual.

He gives us 0.0013 BTC and we mix them to our own address, then keeping it.

Review:

Problems:

1. Bad wording on the mixing page. It should explicit say "If you send less than 0.005 and not exactly 0.001 for the free mixing, your funds will be considered a donation".

2. Cloudflare... why do mixers keep using a US based MITM? This is terrible for privacy and makes me wonder they only care about not getting DDoS'ed for the case of getting more customers and money, WHILE NOT PROTECTING THEIR PRIVACY, which is the MOST IMPORTANT PART!

3. More info should be available in the mixing page. Where the coins are going to and time of the mixing. You can only see that in the letter of guarantee.

About Mixing:

Well, not much to say. The mixer uses Jambler's script and design, so it's basically the same thing for the user experience than most of the other ones. I verified the letter, sent the coins and they arrived in my wallet in a few hours. All good then.

I can't comment on what they do with the coins and what happens in the back-end, because I have no access to it. Do they mix your coins and send you "clean coins from exchanges"? They may, they may not. There isn't much to say about it.

I'm interested

bc1q86rclrx6dme5zd9u4qnvl9e4p9wfnn4aj3pyka

I just finished mixing 0.001 btc using the free service and I must say that the process was simple and straightforward, even someone who never used a mixer before wouldn't find the process complicated.
The design is simple and clean too and this is how a mixer should look like (imo). However, few tweaks could make it even better. For example, the logo shouldn't be behind the "[banned mixer] Partner BTC Mixer Bitcoin" text, better put it in front of the text. Also the links could be edited to look more like buttons.

As for the mixing process itself:
 - The first thing I noticed is that there is no session id. So if I close the browser there is no way to restore my session and I'll have to check my wallet or a block explorer to see if every thing went well! Besides, you suggest blockchain.info to monitor the status of transactions. I believe there are way better privacy-oriented block explorers than blockchain.info.

 - According to your FAQ, receiving the mixed coins may take up to 6 hours (randomly) to increase privacy, but I received mine as soon as the depositing transaction got confirmed. I don't know if this is pure luck or only who use the paying service can benifit from this.

 - On the main page and on the letter of guarantee it says that mixing may take up to 6 hours, however, in the FAQ it says that it may take up to 8 hours!

Other suggestions:
 - fees are a bit to high compared to some other competitors.
 - allow the customer to adjust the delay time instead of setting it randomly.
 - make it possible to add more than 2 receiving addresses.
 - add support for SegWit.

bc1qfl70k8mqqj0j9mcpszejlwtjsj4e6t53ndmhqq

Edited:
I confirmed I received the fund I will submit my review later when I am home.

My review:
I have already received the fund on my native SegWit wallet address, 0.0013 BTC but why there is no warning that the mixer site did not support this kind of bitcoin address. There should be a warning include on the first main page of Go-Overt Bitcoin mixer that bech32 and Segwit addresses have not supported. Through this, I cannot give my honest review since I did not even try to mix my coin. I have non- segwit address but dont have  balance. This should be stating before the fund distributed, so that we can use non-segwit address.
https://i.imgur.com/RtVjUYr.png
Nevertheless, the fund was still on my wallet, I will PM the sender and I will return it back.
Thank you and good luck Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer team, I hope these all concerned will be fixed soon.

After the first look, the simple design of Go-Overt was fascinating for me because I have always looked for simple working services. In the competitive crypto mixing world, having a clean, simple user interface can change the score in favor of the most updated one. Honestly, I didn't read the feedbacks of other campaign participants before testing it personally. From the first glance, the white-black color temperature or sharpness doesn't make me feel tired due to the eye strain but you can't keep the same color balance forever a bit of improvement is necessary, IMHO. Please add the colors for the "How Does It Work?" section too, the same colors are not comfortable for me.

The no-Segwit support is big No for me, TBH, and hope the implementation of Bech32 addresses will be available soon. Just a small suggestion, try to add a mixing function that users can take the private key of the fresh BTC without paying a huge 5% fee. Regarding the fee, why to ask for both network fees and another 5% for mixing service??? Just decrease the mixing fee for a limited timeframe and see if you can increase the website traffic with a correctly planned marketing plan,  of course.

No log policy and guarantee for clean BTC makes me feel safer compared to the similar experiences on competitor's websites. For gaining trust and increasing your survival chances, the signature campaign is essential in order to avoid the dead cat bounce treatment in the long run. Just my 2 satoshis :)

4.9% fee is outrageous, that's my free honest review for you.

Most I have calculated are around 5% + 0.0007 BTC

A small saving is significant when distributed across a large number of transactions using the service regularly.

Please note, the information displayed for Free Mix is correct and there are two separate buttons, 'Start Bitcoin Anonymization' for full service mixing and 'Mix Coins For Free*' to trial the service mixing 0.001 BTC only.

The full mixing service allows entry of two receiving addresses and has a minimum per transaction of 0.005 BTC

On the Mixing Active screen the calculator is still shown but it is irrelevant in the example you mentioned. This really sounds confusing (through Free Mix):

https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/bloba7e1fd77588e9043.png

The wording is very weird ("Free Mix only is 0.001 BTC only to") and I don't really know what I should do. It says the min is 0.005 BTC, but the Free Mix is only 0.001 (?). So, I can actually send 0.001 BTC? What if I send more (e.g: the entire 0.0013 BTC)?

You also don't seem to support bech32 addresses. :(

You also don't seem to support bech32 addresses. :(

Supporting native segwit addresses (addresses which starts with bc1) is good for everyone, Go-Overt and its clients.
Both will save in fees. As transactions fees are a huge deal for any mixer, it would be very good to implement it.

Additionally, if the user wants to mix coins in bech32, this potential client will need to move to another mixer.

I see the simulator is still not working properly. It can be easily fixed by the person who made it. You just need to do something like
if input < 0.001:  #(free mixer limit)
   output=input

I don't know any of Js so i don't know the syntax, but it can be easily fixed with something like that.

It has been discussed there on Jambler's official chat group, the answer is below from the Jambler admin. So the same goes for all Jambler partner mixers who are using their default script.

Quote
It does have to be exactly 0.001 BTC, because this very amount is what communicates your intent to use trial mixing to the system. Think about it, there is no other way for the platform to know if you want trial or regular mixing. So, any other amount will be treated as regular mixing, and the usual commission will be charged.

It's been requested to all participants who have received funds, please update your review here. It's more than 24 hours I had sent the amount for the test.

But at the same time, there is a minimum of 0.005 BTC? So how can I mix my 0.0013 BTC? I don't want to send 0.001 BTC and keep the 0.0003 BTC dust. I want to go all in.
Actually, we sent 0.0013 BTC to mix 0.001 BTC and rest 0.0003 BTC for to cover your transaction fees. I don't know how much will dust after deducting transaction fees. And OP has mentioned on the thread you have to send exactly 0.001 BTC if you intend to use free mixing service. Hope you got my point.

If you create your mixing session again you will see there have been a few updates since your screen capture was taken and it now only displays one message either for Full service or Free Mix.

The Free Mix is only for 0.001 BTC to trial the service, to establish trust effectively and so that people can see what the mixing service does.

Otherwise, the Full Mix minimum is 0.005 BTC

It has been discussed there on Jambler's official chat group, the answer is below from the Jambler admin. So the same goes for all Jambler partner mixers who are using their default script.
But at the same time, there is a minimum of 0.005 BTC? So how can I mix my 0.0013 BTC? I don't want to send 0.001 BTC and keep the 0.0003 BTC dust. I want to go all in.

Create a new mixing session using Free Mix and send 0.001 BTC

You also don't seem to support bech32 addresses. :(

Supporting native segwit addresses (addresses which starts with bc1) is good for everyone, Go-Overt and its clients.
Both will save in fees. As transactions fees are a huge deal for any mixer, it would be very good to implement it.

Additionally, if the user wants to mix coins in bech32, this potential client will need to move to another mixer.

I see the simulator is still not working properly. It can be easily fixed by the person who made it. You just need to do something like
if input < 0.001:  #(free mixer limit)
   output=input

I don't know any of Js so i don't know the syntax, but it can be easily fixed with something like that.

In reality, if input < 0.005
  output=nothing: dust
except
  free mix=true
&
  input = 0.001
  output = 0.001

Now I'm getting a Cloudflare error:

Quote
Error 1033
Argo Tunnel error

What happened?
You've requested a page on a website (www.go-overt.com) that is on the Cloudflare network. The host (www.go-overt.com) is configured as an Argo Tunnel, and Cloudflare is currently unable to resolve it.

Didn't notice before that you are using Cloudflare, but I wouldn't recommend to keep it considering the nature of your website. You do know that they act as a MITM and can sniff all the data from your customers, including addresses and amounts, right? And they are a US based company, so...

It has been explained above post #22, you transaction detected as dust transaction by the system since you haven't sent enough fund for anonymous (regular) mixing. Because more than 0.001 BTC will consider as a regular mixing (not for the test). That's why OP stated that you have to send exactly 0.001 BTC to the free mixer. Less then 0.005 BTC will consider dust on the system since this is the minimum.

4. The exact 0.001BTC has to send if you want to test on the "Mix Coins For Free" service. So we are sending you 0.0013BTC which would cover your sending fee as well.

Anyway, let's wait for the admin answer if he can refund your reward.

^ First, welcome to Bitcointalk. I am interested to try too.

Nevertheless, the fund was still on my wallet, I will PM the sender and I will return it back.
Thank you and good luck Go-Overt Bitcoin Mixer team, I hope these all concerned will be fixed soon.
A wallet is a group of addresses. If you wallet has non bech32 addresses that a re segwit ie. starting with 3, or native starting with 1 then you can put through the transaction fine. Otherwise, you can transfer it from one wallet program to another easily.

In general and according to their FAQ, any sent amount smaller than 0.005 and different from 0.001 will be considered as a donation.
If it was sent by mistake, the sender will have to contact their customer support for further assistance.

I will use this mixer in the future if the administration can apply SegWit address support. Good luck!
Thank-you. Certainly SegWit addresses are supported but at this time not native bech32.
After 6 hrs I receive the coin that I mix with no fee, I fully receive the 0.001BTC and what I see is that, there's something wrong with your calculator at "Mix Coins For Free" page.
Thanks, we decided to leave the calculator alone since the only valid amount to send fo free mix is 0.001 BTC and people should get used to seeing the amount with the fee, which with full service mixing 0.005 BTC returns 0.00406 BTC.

Thank you for trying this for me. Unfortunately, for the free mix the amount must be exactly 0.001 BTC or it does not register for free mix and as it is less than 0.005B BTC it is dust to your transaction. It is a little problem and occasionally people find this but it is already announced just to send a precise amount.

I can't comment on what they do with the coins and what happens in the back-end, because I have no access to it. Do they mix your coins and send you "clean coins from exchanges"? They may, they may not. There isn't much to say about it.
Thank-you.
1. Wording on Free Mix Active updated again.
2. TOR connection is available, also CloudFlare allows server inside network secure to accept external connections with no port forward and no opening firewall with special Argo service.
3. You are right, most of that info is on the other pages but on the mixing page you have to rely on the letter but you suppose by then you are already informed? I will see if I can make it print "This address is valid for 168  hours from 2020-08-12 12:48:36  GMT" in an update. It would be good a little technical.
