Title: Coinswitch.co is a scam stay away from them
Post by: badobadobist on August 18, 2020, 12:38:16 PM
Hi.
I use Coinswitch as affiliate and I referred many users to them.
But last week they put my account balance with them to negative
Like - 0.0237 BTC.  So I contacted the support a week ago
But the support of coinswitch doesn't even care
Since a week they avoiding me and they even blocked me on telegram when I always ask updates of my issue.
And since last week I got over 20new transactions by my referrals
But the balance now is - 0.016btc

It's the worst ever support I have all evidences and screenshots and I can send to any reputable member in the forum
Screenshots of unsolved tickets since a week.
And telegram chats without a result.

I regret using this Indian site. It's super unprofessional
Stay away .
My balance today

My balance like more than a week ago
https://ibb.co/mhNypmV
Here chat support since 11th no answer
https://ibb.co/2tjYbnT

Here a ticket I got answer 4 days ago but the answer about something different has nothing to do with the problem so I explained again 4 days ago but no answer.

This might be a bug on their end but I doubt they are scam. As far as I know they are legit. By any chance, have you cheated their system by yourself through conducting self tx to increase your referral earning although there's no chance to identify that?
If anyone is looking for coinswitch existence in here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2041972.0

If it was a bug, he/she would at least have received an explanation during the contacts he tried to have with them. Unless the team feels so ashamed because there's a bug in their system, they don't want to reply? Nah

"have you cheated their system"
Do you think a cheater would say yes? I don't think @OP is lying if he suggests sending evidence

You should consider posting more evidence here, posting screenshots about your interactions with customer support by hiding your username would even work.

They seem to be selectively scamming customer's as per incidents reported with them previously here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247157.0.

Even after receiving full KYC from the customers they have locked the fund's in some cases. They have an extremely unfriendly customer service as per I can see.

I would assume if that were the case, Coinswitch would have taken steps to make things right with OP's account.  When you don't get any communication in situations like these, it makes the entire experience way, waay more frustrating.

Silly question indeed, but maybe he abused the referral system or something?  I'm definitely not accusing OP of anything whatsoever, just thinking out loud.  But then again, if he did violate Coinswitch's rules you'd think they would notify him or communicate something at least.  As far as the evidence goes, I would advise OP to post what he's got since this is a scam accusation thread--but there isn't much anyone here can do to help you.  But by presenting evidence that they screwed you over, you'll be damaging their reputation which might force them to respond.

I think I've used them in the past for some small trades and never had a problem.  That doesn't really mean much, but hopefully this will turn out to be an error of some sort and not a scam.

We'd like to see more proof, this is interesting many of us can become a victim of this exchange especially those actively promoting this exchange screenshots and your sent email for their support, you don;t have to ask for reputable members because it concerns people who are using this service.

Im afraid OP cant upload screenshot due to his current position as newbie. But he could share screenshot link here and also it could help in the case.

OP if you have twitter I think you could also send them a message there or yet post your case there and tagged them, Im sure they would probably response cause your post is on social media. People would be skeptical and curious also it will help if you add photos that could show how rude they are for blocking and ignoring you.

Since they are been followed by Kucoin, KyberNetwork and Enjin, tagged them too on your post and probably many will comment to it. Let see how coinswitch respond
to you. But I do hope that you did not do any malicious attempt on the referral system that causes the fuse. Anyway just a suggestion.

He can still used image hosting like https://imgur.com/ and we can quote on it so that it will be displayed. Otherwise, this is just a accusations without any evidence, he say,she say scenario.

But I do agree with the twitter message, perhaps they will take a lot at the issue more to clarify everything. Unless otherwise the OP has cheat the system itself and Coinswitch find this 'dirty' secrets and that's why he got a negative account balance.

I think there is something wrong either OP is lying or honest. Because there is few more accusation on their announcement (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2041972.0) thread where they never replied. Although they made verbal accusations without proof, no response means something wrong. They aren't active on the forum for a long time.

Anyway, we will require a few more evidence before tagging them. Upload a few appropriate evidence as suggested by other users.

Thank you I will. By the way if someone goes to the group of coinswitch kuber since theu blocked me in the other group I again posted my problem there just half hour ago
And guess what another guy in the group say he has same problem. And the admins avoid answering us  so other guys posted some problems then admins answered them and for me like not existed.

That's so silly of them. At least they should be able to communicate to you on what happened and what possible solution they are working on instead of just blocking you. I am thinking of tagging their profile here though I want to wait for a few more days and see if they can solve your problem.

Thank you there still no update from them . Can you do me a favor ? I want to make sure they didn't block my ip in their website coinswitch.co so that's why they don't answer me on live chat
Can you check the live chat and try send a message if they answered or not ?

Others should even hesitate working with them in the future. From this thread itself it is clear that they probably have an very slow and inaccessible costumers support.

I hope you get your funds back and are able to withdraw it asap.

Now that's some good news at least. Keep us posted on the progress.
Given the hard time they have made you go through. You could try checking out better alternatives to coinswitch. There are lots of them in this thread;
Instant exchanges (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5218464.0)

Check out reviews of each before you decide to use them just to be on the safe side but most are reliable.
These are the profiles that seemed to represent them here:
- abhi.sharma.cs343 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1068693) Inactive
- iam_aayushiJ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2184879) Inactive

Looking at their Announcement (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2041972). All I see are complaints of being scammed and unresponsive support. I am giving them till next week before I can decide to create or support any flag that has been created against their profile.

They don't even look active here on bitcointalk in all, so I don't think slamming them with red tags or even a risk flag would work for the OP to get the funds back or make CoinSwitch reply here. But yes, of course it would avoid further scam victim's on the forum and would advice OP to create a flag against any or all of there profiles here.

I found some more profiles realted to them here but are inactive.

CoinSwitch (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2389780): advertising here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5047467.0

I don't know how they are still operating in India.

I know what we do here might not affect their decision to refund OP but It's the idea so that newbies, guest users and other people do not fall for their scam as they will be able to see the warnings. I was just waiting to see how their support takes up OP's case.

It's because their main profile got banned (https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?id=2389780) So the truth is they have even been ban evading.

Try informing their support that you are going to report to the domain registrar for fraud and scam. If they don't comply. Then i suggest you cooperate with that other victim and report their domain to Godaddy (their registrar). The more reports from other victims, the easier it will be to take down the scam website.

You should even consider reporting them on Play Store, I see them having an highly rated app there.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coinswitch.kuber

Also, you could link your thread in the comments section there itself so that more people could know the issue.

Flag Supported from my end and user profile tagged with red paint. I don't think they care about their forum profile and negative trusts. "Coinswitch" bitcointalk account is inactive for a long time and there is multiple scam accusation against them.

Here is another one, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5271100.0

I just checked their app reviews in playstore and seen enough bad reviews there. Its clear now what they are doing with their users actually.

They fixed my problem today but after I created like 4 telegram accounts since they block each one In the group
And after I complained to their API providers like changelly and binance.
Changelly yesterday promised me to talk to them since they use it's logo and API
Not sure if because of that or if because I kept shasing them In Social media and telegram.
However I will never use them again.

First thank you for your advices and for following up.
And No they say I got paid once more than I should be.  And they provided some excel file showing some transactions.
However they responded at least without the automated messages.
And honestly I'm tired with them. I think I will never use them and I don't recommend anyone to use them.

For the other guy who opened a new post who lost 1400$ I hope he get his  money back.

Thank you all guys and stick with reputable exchangers
