Title: CoinTiger Exchange Scam Accusation
Post by: Durdenkingtyler on August 21, 2020, 01:47:46 PM
What happened::

CoinTiger is already known as one of the worst wash trading exchanges and they don't have much of a reputation, so I'm sure that this won't surprise those who are familiar with the exchange.

The exchange blocked TrustSwap withdrawals since  the day they listed the asset due to "wallet maintenance". TrustSwap is an ERC-20 token, so this does not make sense.

Additionally, the TrustSwap team gave tokens to CoinTiger to be distributed in a trading competition for a listing promotion and CoinTiger exchange never paid the tokens to the winners.

Instead of giving any sort of response, the exchange blocked the CEO of TrustSwap on Twitter.

Tweet from TrustSwap founder Jeff Kirdeikis: https://twitter.com/JeffKirdeikis/status/1296654807785074689

Ive used cointiger frequently aside from the withdrawals/deposits that took time to process never had any problems at all. But the accusation made by TrustSwap seems to be worth digging. When I checked the tweet it seems cointiger didnt made any act on the process.

Given that there other accusations with them. Maybe better for other users to be cautious when dealing with the exchange. Im not saying the accusation could be made but of course at least community is aware with the issues.

The fact that CoinTiger provides no response to the accusation, but simply ignores the accusation and blocks everyone who mentions the incident should make the case pretty clear in itself.

We are also having problems with Cointiger withdrawals that take very long, and on which we can get no feedback from support.

Also there are for several months now no longer replies to questions sent via email, telegram, twitter, linkedin, ... to the official cointiger contacts

anybody has a recent update about the status of Cointiger ?

I doubt the scammers will do anything to return your assets just like the did in the case in the OP. It's sad that they are still actively scamming. Check this latest thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5313627.msg56237986#msg56237986)
Their profile here doesn't have any negative feedback, so I am tagging them and also creating a type 1 Flag. Please support it.

I personally have problems to withdraw a small amount of LTC, they placed the withdrawal in audit, even though my account is already verified.
