I've heard people talking about other Cryptocurrency and even I've known alot about some of them, I've made careful research about some I'm even yet to know about, but I've not seen too may people talking about Pinkoin and I'm about to join that, please can you share with me your views, I need to have good understanding of it before I go on. Thanks so much 🙏

There are 1000s of coins and tokens, most of them being useless clones of existing coins.
If you didn't hear many people discussing about that coin I've never heard about, maybe it doesn't deserve to be talked about. Be very careful about dead useless coins and also be careful about over-hyped useless coins. Make sure the coin really has the potential to be here in 5-10 years too.

It's actually tagged INKSNATION and I don't really know much about it. A friend of mine just introduced it to me and he told me the future is very bright I trust that there'll be more learned person in here to give me the truth about it

Best to stay away from them, I see this to be a PONZI game. The project development team has only 2 people, the page content shows Github and twitter symbols but cannot access it. This website is too sketchy. Definitely a scam project.

In Cryptocurrency World is very difficult fine real info about new projects and teams, sometimes they are fake info only for scam users. About Pinkcoin I read that is a coin born for support the charity with the blockchain technology with a PoS + FPoS system

And you want to invest in pinkcoin just cause of that, have you DYOR to know if this project is a Ponzi or pump and dump coin; I'm also sure you've not read their whitepaper if they have any, and if they do, have you checked if it's plagiarised from somewhere else or from some other project, have you also confirmed that the team is real and are not impersonators. Most new coins and project like pinkcoin are only reincarnation of dead projects, if you invest your money in it, you will lose it. Did your friend tell you about Bitcoin? Or maybe ethereum?

I suggest to find another crypto where to invest with because I really not heard it or see it in any social media beside there are many tokens or coins out there which will give you a lot profit but if you are going to invest on that coin well it's up to you.

To tell you honestly I never heard this kind of project. When you are new into cryptocurrency you have to do some delligence first prior investing. There's so much coins in this market some of them are just a copycat and just there to scam people. You may check the Coinmarketcap where you can see the lists of top coins so best is do some research first.

Do you mean Pinkoin or Pinkcoin with a ticker (PINK)? because I myself have never heard of Pinkoin, what you mean by that, and for Pinkcoin with a ticker (PINK) I have heard of it and indeed the coin is a good coin to have especially since it has long been listed in a good exchange too, namely Bittrex.

Forget this and move one. Pinkcoin is not worth to be considered as an investment consider it has no demand or even community. Pink coin was a non-profit coin that already used to be charity.

IMO if you must try to learn more about how to choose the correct project. Pinkcoin has no potential and it's full with BS.

I checked the inksnation, they have entry package, a return of investment offer, they have daily bonus etc.  This have the feature of a Ponzi scheme where later on become a scam when their network cannot support the payout system.  I would suggest that you stay away from this kind of offer especially when it uses cryptocurrency as front end.

They boast about having an open letter to EFCC, but that does not matter, what matters is whether they have a licence from the said institution.  That open letter is possibly published to deceive investors into thinking that they are legit and acknowledged by that governing body which in truth is not.  

1. I'm just hearing the name for the first time meaning it's not a popular crypto project
2. If my point is same as many on here it's a sign that this project might be a pump and dump project

Why you should stay away from this project?

Two reasons:

Concept - As per my understanding, the concept is related to charity and eradication of poverty. How will you make money from from a concept that is based on philanthropic activities?

Webstie - Website does not clearly states about the project and I was only able to find two team members. White paper does not open and I also do not see the roadmap.

The site was registered in May last year but still has little information. No whitepaper, invalid team. Roadmaps that don't have an exact date, I think their planning will have no end and no implementation.

When you heard of strange coin you should be cautious and careful and you have to save some important crypto sites which you can see as beginning when you need to investigate one project.

Search the name on those sites. If you don't find their name on those sites, there are some possible reasons:
- Scam projects and developers (scammers) did not pay money to list there. They only want to scam without financial cost.
- Projects are born recently and you have to be cautious of new projects.
- Old projects but scam or failed and were delisted.

You've done a great job asking for advice before you will decide to get into an unknown altcoin. Keep it up. It is also worth noting that you are keeping yourself highly safe by doing research on a coin you wish to invest.

Pinkcoin (PINK) is one of the old altcoins that are now slowly dying. There were so many strong altcoins in the past that are now gone. PINK has been in crypto for years now. The problem with PINK is that it seems stagnant already. It does not have new developments and innovations to compete with new altcoins.

My advice is that you stay away from this altcoin.

I think you should read more about the past crypto currencies created. There is just too much scam coins out there.

Mate, I'm glad that you are doing some researched before you ride with that particular project but talking straight I never heard that project or even the coin name, so I cant introduce or even recommended that to you, My advice is it's better to look in the top altcoins/cryptocurrencies that have stable prices and has huge liquidity that was my stand about it. 

Instead of investing in one unknown coin that was introduced to you, why not go for the known coin like bitcoin and ethereum. I have never heard of that name before. It might be one of those coins that won't last and it might be here to stay even take over, I don't know. But I will tell you to do more research and invest with money you can afford to lose.

is that the best of your research can be mate. there was a lot of new token that more good that one. Better to take tokens that more stable then the old one that has almost got no supporter at all. Find the one that has a lot of supporter but in undervalues token first as this type of token always will increases in the future.

im not familiar with the coin but that does not mean its bad just because its not familiar and not all people are talking about it because that can also be a hidden gem . you know better with it because you said you already made a careful research  .

I'm also not familiar with this pinkcoin too but i suggest, if you are not so sure with this coin, better find another coin that is already listed in a reputable exchange so you won't have to doubt on your investment. Investing in a new coin or maybe a dead coin already is much risky than investing on coins that are already known to the investors and have high assurance that it's a legit one and not a scam.

It's a good coin with good technology, but in its time it rose to 930 satoshi and suffered a massive fall. This may make you a little suspicious, but it seems like a good coin if you are considering a long-term investment as the circulating supply and maximum supply are so close together.

Pinkoin is a new decentralized exchange coin developed by a philanthropist in Nigeria who claimed the intention of poverty alleviation and equal distribution of wealth.  I have registered an account with the exchange and people that have registered before June, 2020 have started collecting minimum of $100 per week.  My opinion is just that, it doesn't really cost you much if you register, there are different levels of registration there and you can start with the minimum which around 1000 Nigerian Naira ($2.3).  The project still undergoing several testings for now.

Pinkcoin? Why you search for that coin while we have many other coins that have more potential to increase than that coin. I think you should search for other coins, so you can get the right coin to invest. Pink coin as the old coin, seems hard to increase back and repeat the history because many potential altcoins at the market exist, so you will see that the Pink coin is difficult to rise again. But if the project still runs until now, and they prepare to make an update related to the project, I think the price can have a hope to increase.

less investors interested to charity project, they thinking developer team will not build MVP in their project and not listing in good exchanges to create hype. investors prefer to choose project with many product that will deliver and give profits to them . chartity project usually have no clear roadmap that will realized in coming time.

From various Bitcoin forks/clones to the new DeFi tokens, most are over-hyped and most probably useless.

Have heard friends talk about pinkoin in in some of the WhatsApp groups I belong in, but come to think of it, you are new into cryptocurrency and the the first coin you pick is pinkoin which not everyone is aware of. In my own humble opinion, why don't you go for a coin that more value

If you're a newbie to the crypto scene, you should invest in the top altcoin first before trying to venture out other lesser coins. People talked about Pinkoin or any coins they want but that doesn't mean it was a good reason to invest. Decide on your own by researching is the only viable way to form a good opinion.

Its volume is only 1600 $ and it's really too little, too dangerous for you to invest in this project. It is better to ignore it and find other better projects to invest in, choose top projects with high liquidity to ensure safety and not manipulation of prices.

As other pointed out already, its extremely risky to invest in 6 or 7 years old project that has a very low liquidity and exposure. These kind of projects tend to go into obscurity pretty fast, but hey, if the team is active and they are actively developing and pushing towards their goal, maybe they can rise out of the ashes.

The chance of succeeding always relied from how the developers are working behind.
It's needed to be more active  if you do believe that the project still have something to offer, your deeper knowledge will allow you to judge whether to continue your participation.

I myself have never heard of Pinkoin so far, in my opinion, you should not trust Pinkoin too easily because it will fall into the trap of fraud. I think you better look for other coins if you want to invest, there are lots of good coins that you can invest in in the future. So in essence, don't be too easy to believe your friends' words, because if you trust and immediately take the decision to invest, you will regret that if the coin deceives you, it's better for you to choose it yourself with your judgment.

Is this the coin you are talking about Pinkcoin (PINK) (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/pinkcoin/markets/) it is listed on bittrex it has $3,533 which is pretty low. I visited their telegram (https://t.me/PinkcoinOfficial) they only have 400+ members and it is pretty quiet. Their idea is for supporting Charities and Non-Profit organizations into blockchain which is really good but it does not get attention because it has so many competitors. I suggest to find another coin, I don't recommend to jump on this high yield returns defi either it is just like a bubble.

i am not aware that there were so many simillar project to them but its not shocking because some could use this concept to attract potential investors and we dont know if they are collecting fund only for them selves  . if this pink coin is honest and different to others , they can still stand out and win the competition  .

My first time of getting an idea of this coin was through a particular Bar and lounge in my area where i stay, according to their banner which is hung out the gate, they claim to accept pinkcoin for the services, i never really paid attention to it until now, i even had to walk back to the gate to make sure its pinkcoin i saw the other day, and there it is, i will have research about the coin and to answer the op, i would say please be very careful of coins like this as most of them start out as genuine projects with great potentials but later in the long run turn dead either by the devs abandoning the project or it turned out to be ponzi/scam project.

when I looked on the web it was a ponzi scheme, you have to pay members fee to get a salary and this doesn't make sense so stay away from that, any website that promises unreasonable percentage returns should just be ignored

If you are new and not familiar with crypto project analysis then you shouldn't trust anyone's advice, always remember DYOR while investing on such projects.Go for bitcoin at the moment and some altcoins like ethereum,ripple, litecoin,BNB and top cryptos like these are good options for beginners.

No one is an expert in the crypto prediction, if newbies don't have enough knowledge then they shouldn't start investing in the first place.Need to have the basic knowledge atleast before looking to make profits because making money is never going to be that much easy in the reality.

Agree with you, he should invest in top projects in this market to be safe. He can then research and learn about new projects in this market, not trusting others' advice because it will get him stuck with bullshit projects and scams like Pinkoin

Crytocurrency is getting more popularity by the day and several people are joining the space majorly because of the financial reward they expect from the market. Even as much as its possible to make excess profit in this space, there's still a lot of risk hidden in the cryptocurrency space. One needs to be very careful about projects because several are pumps and lack use case.

It's just a scam project, so don't waste your time with this project. They are dead and will never be profitable investing in it, just invest in the top altcoins in this market to be safe.

It's not about joining or what. You should do research accordingly if you are about to invest to projects or tokens like what you have mentioned.

Making a research is a must on buying tokens, If you can't find any information or shady information, You should avoid that quickly. I think Op's is talking about PINK. This coin has two positive points and the rest are negative. A very old coin with a low price and bittrex exchange listed. How this coin still survived with this low volume. Single exchange can't be good for any good altcoins, even though volume is also low in this exchange. I don't even suggest investing in this PINK coin. Before this dump price is over, you should find a good volume altcoin.

bitcoin is only for people who want to play the game safely, whereas if you want to get a very large amount of profit but have a very high risk then you can use altcoins because the price is still cheap, it is very easy to get profit when the price goes up .

Never heard of the coin mentioned by the OP. More than likely, it is one of those substandard alts out there and he heard it from somewhere because someone is spreading fomo on it. Since the OP is still a newbie, he should read more here in the forum especially the beginners section. He can learn a lot from that section alone and slowly read other sections that will be of interest to him. This forum will help him in his crypto journey.

The altcoin mentioned by OP was started around year 2015, as what I saw on the chart of Pinkoin, it's already dead. Even if you will see in the trading volume, it's extremely low compare to some altcoins that is still here for how many years already.
And I also noticed is, the coin as of the moment is only listed on 2 exchanges and they also got a very low trading volume, which is already a red flag for me.

Two things that I can think of.
1. The person who shared it is part of the team.
2. The person randomly searched that token as search about investments in cryptocurrencies.

I am quite surprised that Pinkcoin has been around since 2014, this is an old project whose promotion is not good in my opinion.

I'm not really familiar with Pinkoin, if I were you, better check potentials altcoin at the coinmarketcap rather what you are doing it now.
At the cmc you can see all the top altcoins and exchange as well. At least using this platform your capital surely will not be lost.

You are welcomed to the crypto world. You can surely join to this field. You should know that there hundreds of coins in the crypto market. Many of them are unknown to most of the people. Many of these coins are useless. But there are many good coins in this market. Bitcoin is king and Ethereum is the best altcoin. You will be well known about this field if you research more about it.

Go to coinmarketcap and make a proper your own research before investing on the coins. There was a lot of scams and no liquidity tokens out there. For newbies it will be wise to make the research you need before jump at any projects because the risk getting lose are very high.

The best way to find out about any coin/token that is relatively new to the market is via Telegram groups. There you can ask all kinds of questions and you have a whole team at your disposal. In addition to this, there should be a whitepaper which described a lot about what the value of the coin/token. Some already have websites.

Don't you think is better to stick to what you know and do investment with than going off to unknown project?. According to your write, you're not familiar with the project which a friend introduced you, but don't be too rushing for this project because things of this nature can be scam IMO. Research into the project to avoid scam at the end.

The author of the post has done a pretty good marketing job, since he managed to collect so many comments about the unknown dubious token. I'm sure that this was a publicity stunt from one of the participants in this project.

If a project can't get itself listed on a decent exchange and is not on the listing sites you know it's a worthless scam. That's all I have to say about this pitiful project.

why will you worry yourself about investing in a particular crypto coin you have little knowledge or just because people are speculating about.  In this crypto ecosystem, you having enough knowledge is one key principle to invest in a particular coin. Investing as a result of speculations made by people might put you in a high risk of losing your investment capital.  I will advise that you spend some time to have sufficient knowledge before joining that particular coin.

He has answered but regardless of the statement. Every investor has to do things on their own with proper caution and research. If it's not done, you will regret that you have invested to the wrong coin.
Those words like receiving free money, they are real but you need to invest such amount to be receiving something worth it. Otherwise, you'll only receive a bunch of tokens with no use and value.

As was stated by most of the replies in the thread, most alternate cryptocurrencies (altcoins in short) are relatively risky given the vast history of scammers taking advantage of such fake projects. If I were in your situation, invest in altcoins that are listed on the top 10 coins in the market for security.
In connection with this, I also suggest that you purchase for either short/long-term goals some bitcoins as its value may increase overtime.

Pinkcoin currently only listed on 2 major exchanges that are https://global.bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-PINK & https://main.southxchange.com/Market/Book/PINK/BTC but trading volume in both very small. you can try to invest a little if you are still in doubt.

I thought the same thing actually. Why invest on such an unknown projects that no ones knows very well whether they will have a legit background or not. Investing is not an easy job, you need to be wise and smart enough about everything you do and every little moves you take counts. We have like tons of other good altcoins to choose from, not just one or two, diversify sometimes could save you a bucket. Some are just too dumb to make a proper research or just want to have some quick money making and putting aside all other crucial aspects in the process.
