Title: I'm newbie, need help Post by: Martin jack on September 13, 2020, 06:39:19 AM Hello world,
I created a Bitcointalk account in 2018. But I didn't try to use it because I don't know how to use it. Then I tried to post or reply but they were deleted. Can anyone give me a solution? Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: mk4 on September 13, 2020, 06:56:20 AM Maybe give us more information? What Bitcoin wallet website or app did you use? Do you remember having a 12 or 24 word backup? Or did you just use a username/email and password?
Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: Eureka_07 on September 13, 2020, 06:58:40 AM Do you mean bitcointalk account? Or bitcoin wallet account?
Most probably your posts were off-topic or spams. The possible reason is already mentioned on the message that was sent to you (deleted post). Quote from: Bitcoin Forum A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by a Bitcoin Forum moderator. Posts are most frequently deleted because they are off-topic, though they can also be deleted for other reasons. In the future, please avoid posting things that need to be deleted. I highly suggest that you read these rules on this thread: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0) Read those pinned threads and sticky threads on different boards before posting. Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: Pmalek on September 13, 2020, 07:02:56 AM What Bitcoin wallet website or app did you use? I think he is talking about a Bitcointalk account, not a Bitcoin wallet. He mentioned that his posts got deleted.@Martin jack You should move your topic to Meta. That is where issues like this go. At the bottom of the page you will notice Move topic. Click on it and select Meta on the list. Regarding your account, put a link to the profile of your account. If your posts get deleted, you get PMs in your inbox informing you a post of yours got deleted. Did you get such PMs in the past? What did they say? If you didn't get notifications about your posts being deleted, but they are still missing, there is a possibility that the threads you posted in were deleted. In that case all the posts in such threads are deleted as well and you don't get informed about it. A 3rd possibility is that you posted in self-moderated threads and the original thread starters deleted your posts for whatever reason. EDIT: While I was typing this, other users mentioned most of it. Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: Akiko on September 13, 2020, 07:52:31 AM Hello world, Possible reason why its deleted is because someone report one of your post or your reply is off topic.I created a Bitcoin account in 2018. But I didn't try to use it because I don't know how to use it. Then I tried to post or reply but they were deleted. Can anyone give me a solution? That deleted post is not a big problem and that's normal thing you can continue postinh as long as you know you are posting it in the right section and your not off topic. Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: Mahdirakib on September 13, 2020, 08:56:30 AM Hello world, Don't know why your post got deleted. Other topic is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5275508.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5275508.0) I think it is unnecessary to have 2 exactly the same topics and I suggest the moderator to merge these 2 topics into one. All of your post other than this one is in the bounty section of the forum. From your profile, it seems you belong to Bangladesh. It will be better if you post in your community thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=631891.0)and seek advice from there in your local language which may help you understand the rules of the forum. Quote from: theymos Only admins can merge threads, and it's only done for technical reasons such as an accidentally-split post. Merging similar threads together just makes a big mess; if too many topics about the same thing are posted, the extras should just be locked or deleted. sir, trust me i have no idea about how to use bitcointalk. I really wonder how you posted this.Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: UmerIdrees on September 13, 2020, 10:16:15 AM sir, trust me i have no idea about how to use bitcointalk. Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: The Sceptical Chymist on September 13, 2020, 11:02:43 AM Stop shitposting. That would be my main point of advice as well. As to why an inactive account that had made only a few posts had most/all of them deleted, that could have happened if mods nuked entire threads. Sometimes shitposters make a habit of making all of their posts in mega spam threads, which eventually get deleted altogether if they're bad enough. That's happened to me before, especially with posts in Bitcoin Discussion and Altcoin Discussion when I used to visit that section. It took me over 30 minutes to learn to reply Wow, are you a slow learner in general or is the internet just not your thing? You don't happen to be over 75 years old, do you? I don't ask that in jest; the older generation has a really hard time trying to learn how to use tech like the internet if they've never used it before. I have a great aunt who can barely use a cell phone--even though they're not a hell of a lot different than the old phones she used to use.Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: Jet Cash on September 13, 2020, 11:24:20 AM You don't happen to be over 75 years old, do you? Hey, just behave, and don't knock us oldies who may be a bit slow. It took me over 30 minutes to realise that if I clicked on "watch", I couldn't enter my reply through my watch, and I had to use a keyboard like everybody else. :) Title: Re: I'm newbie, need help Post by: lovesmayfamilis on September 13, 2020, 11:31:45 AM In addition to all this, he got hold of a wallet number :) somewhere to which a transaction was sent for some purpose six months ago.

Martin jack, does this number 0xA3118420e2dA4318ae6C446A22bF5Da278B4138e mean anything to you? I think this guy is a little disingenuous. |
