10 times the original price of the PS5 Original version and not for the Digital Edition, which is $100 less. So 10 times more plus $100! ::)

You don't know what you are saying, do you? All official retailers of SONY, in any country in the world (at least to any country that SONY can ship), are taking pre-orders NORMALLY and without any issue.
Nothing is sold-out, as you say. You don't have to be lucky, just to pay your pre-order and you will get it right in front of your doorstep on 19th November (official release date for retail stores in EU).

So if you want another one, just make a post here and I will send you one more to sell it for... $10k!!! ::) :D

Digital edition means game downloads only (no blu ray drive) thus it's cheaper. The OP is insane. But then again, people pay more than a grand for a phone so what do I know.

Yeah I think it re-appeared briefly a couple of hours ago and "sold out" again. Not that I care much, never bought a PS and never will but still I'm getting promo e-mails and some "deal sites" and "tech sites" are buzzing as if it's an event of some importance LOL.

I think it's just Sony playing games (pun intended) and trying to build the hype up. Convince grandmas that this is THE Christmas toy to buy for their grandkids because everyone wants them.

Classic FOMO strategy of big corps (I received mails from the retailers themselves!). The world has lost its mind and instead of getting better, more thoughtful and skeptical, it becomes more naive and disoriented from everything that really counts and matter.

Or you can buy and ebay for a couple hundred bucks over retail and also be protected by eBay.  OP where did you come up with $5k?  And technically this doesn't belong here it belongs in digital goods :)

OP just bet that PS5 will get higher value because it's either not be delivered or Sony wouldn't be ready to supply stores because they "sold-out" their pre-orders in the US in a couple of hrs. Like Sony didn't know what limitation has for all the stores and their official retailers and it waits for pre orders to start producing PS5... ::) Btw OP, Sony put the orders on behalf of any store, not the opposite.
He doesn't understand that this is a marketing strategy to "convince" (IMO "manipulate" is more appropriate) people (and they did it in OP's case) that PS5 is THE "game" for the upcoming Xmas season and it's something so precious that we all MUST have. Classic FOMO...

The "issue" is that you trying to make this 5k buck from something that will not hit this point, no matter what. Maybe you would stand a chance if Sony falls apart in a day, which is not going to happen in the next 5 months...
