Which country you are and will available using PayPal as legal currency there? I think if you use PayPal you can convert your cash usdt in bitcoin become PayPal balance fund, many people have available for convert usdt bitcoin become usdt in PayPal with lower fees transaction. I think it easy if you wanna be cash your usdt fund and keep going to continue for long term if you wanna get cash money.

Depending on what country and city you're in, probably your best bet to sell bitcoin for actual physical cash, is to look for bitcoin buyers on platforms such as LocalBitcoins[1] and HodlHodl[2]. If there aren't much sellers on these platforms on your city, try looking at local social media groups.

Instead of trying to convince your mom you aren’t dumb by turning your Bitcoin into cash, you might find you are better served by not turning your Bitcoin into cash and showing her you aren’t.

I'm assuming you're from the U.S? If so, you can just use a BTM, there are thousands of them: https://coinatmradar.com/country/226/bitcoin-atm-united-states/

Localbitcoins is not offering that option anymore: https://news.bitcoin.com/localbitcoins-removes-in-person-cash-trades-forcing-traders-to-look-elsewhere/

I would recommend checking LocalCryptos instead. More liquidity and no I.D required.

My 2 cents: Don't convert your Bitcoins into cash just for the sake of others. Be it family members, friends or even worse - strangers that you want to impress. You don't want to get on the path of living your life to prove something. Just hold and manage your finances carefully. You will have a much happier life, believe me.

Now if you actually need some cash you can use P2P platforms like LocalBitcoins or Paxful or join local exchange groups on telegram, facebook, etc. Make sure you pay your taxes. You don't want to have problems later on.

Well, if you dont have a bank account and valid ID [which is these are very important when you are going to cash your money out], you need to do is find a person that willing to exchange your bitcoin into cash in the personal transaction. Transaction online is useless for you because you don't have an account that you can able to withdraw your fund even if you are successfully traded your bitcoin to USD as cash money. Find crypto enthusiasts near you that willing to have a meetup to exchange you bitcoin.

Paxful might not be best option since it require you to perform ID verification for some method such as "cash in person" and "cash by mail".

Although the fee is a bit high, Bitcoin ATM is best option since it doesn't require you to perform identity verification.

I assume that you are under 18.This complicates everything a lot.You can't turn any form of digital money(even fiat digital money) without a bank account.
Perhaps you will have to wait a few years, then get your ID and register a bank account+Localbitcoins account.
You could buy a gift card using BTC and redeem the gift card, then buy something you need.Show her the item you bought, instead of USD cash.I can't think of any other way.

I also think that you should show your mother that you are not a fool and that obtaining cryptocurrencies is from very smart people.
Without having a bank account, the best option in your case is an ATM to obtain a $ 100.
You have the opportunity to convince your mom that she believes in cryptocurrencies.
I support my family with cryptocurrencies and just like me there are other members of the community who also do it with their families.

No need for all this trouble. Bitcoin ATM. You do not need a bank account and for a small amount below the verification limit you do not need a valid ID. Just sell the BTC at a few ATMs and get cash and you are all good to go.

Only downside is 5% premium on price.

First of all, don`t let us assume where you lived from because we can give you some experience in turning btc into cash.
Second, it is really a disadvantage for not having a bank account or even could show in ID to perform KYC. Because most of the remittance center will search for an id to you.

Anyway, let us assume that you don`t have a bank account and can`t show your id. It is really a big problem because even your mom don`t have trust in cryptocurrency. Well, here are some of my advise.

1. try to look out in youtube tutorial or google of what apps or wallet does your country support.
2. If you find out that it can withdraw a dollar without going to the process of KYC then you are lucky.
3. Exchange your bitcoin in coinbase or binance exchange. Then move it to the wallet that supports cryptocurrency.
4. Wait some confirmations and withdraw it to the nearest remittance center.

if you can`t follow our steps that we shared or links that other users posted here. The best thing you can do is to convince your mom to have trusts with you. Or talk with your best friends who have bank account so that your problem will be solved. In this industry, you have to be clever and has strategy. In our era, search engines are very useful in our querries.

I think that OP is probably underage still? Just like what others said. Maybe he could just convince his mom to create an account and let her withdraw it to her name, think that could convince her that it’s not stupid to own digital currency. That’s the best proof, in my opinion.

The alternative is P2P trading. If it's a couple of hundred dollars only, I think it's pretty easy to find.

and my mom thinks im dumb for owning "digital currency"
So, before answering your question....

I want to ask you.
Where do you get that digital / crypto currency...!

I have an opinion.
If you have crypto currency, that means: you are already familiar with several exchanges against this digital currency, there is no way you can get currency in digital / crypto form such as gold or physical.

Crypto cannot be stored in your pants pocket, crypto must be stored in a certain internet wallet, then you can exchange it on exchange sites that can make real $, How come you don't know about it all, when you say you have digital currency.

What is your goal....!

It's better to convince your mom about bitcoin. Tell her how it works and how to make a profit.
Your mom will surely like it and she'll invest too. First, show her your bitcoin and all the transaction history.
You don't need to withdraw your money it can be the effect on supply and demand.
If you sell your coins the demand pay decrease. Hope you understand what I am trying to say.

The name of Bitcoin now is very common on the internet or on any social media platform. I don't why your mom thinks that you're just a dump upon holding Bitcoin and she thinks this doesn't have a value. Selling your Bitcoin isn't kind of proof that your mom will believe in you. Even you will search on the internet how much the value of Bitcoin to dollar rate.

Take note that before you will rush cashing out your Bitcoin into cash just to impress you mom, just ask first yourself if you will self your Bitcoin, it should be your profit was there.

Anyways, I agree suggestions on the first page, Bitcoin ATM (Coin Radar (https://coinatmradar.com/))through the help of and P2P exchange is a good place to go if you want anonymous transactions.

It will be good if you will start searching in your country first like check your country first if there is a local exchange that is available as it is the
easiest way to convert your crypto into USD or to your local currencies.

But if there is no available then your other option is to trade your crypto personally like you will go to your local section and ask there if there are someone
who are willing to exchange your crypto into USD or to your local fiat then you will just give them a good exchange ratio like 8:10 so you can easily find someone to make an offer with you.

So you just want to convert it to usd and make it as a proof?
You dont need to do it.
Show your mom videos about bitcoin from well known news media channels.
It would make her thinks that bitcoin is a legit thing.
And then let her know about bitcoin.
Final step, show her bitcoin success story video.

But if you still want to convert it,
Just search on facebook, a bitcoin local enthusiast group.
Please be selective on finding it.

I didn't expect that in some places is still difficult to convert bitcoin into cash. In my country it so easy to convert bitcoin into our fiat money ,no hassle in just a second. I think local bitcoin exchange will be the easiest way to exchange in other country but still it depends on their place.

Hi , where are you from and what wallet are you using ?
If you are using a wallet which is offline and at the same time works as an exchange platform, you can get very good price.
Even if that's impossible you can go to local bitcoins, make sure to trust sites which are asking for your ID.
I don't think you should actually use other methods, using your ID won't be problematic and it will get you better price.
You can do person to person transactions but I do think for that you can even ask your friends, someone will for sure want some BTC .
But right now I do think you should hold for the moment!!!
The price is going to go up really soon , it was down a little but you will make profits in some upcoming days or weeks .

The question does not have detail, so we only guess where he comes from, and without he comes back here again, we are still guessing without knowing what he wants.
But the best thing the @OP can do is find local sellers from his country, ask him or them if he wants to sell his bitcoin, but he needs them to give the money in front of him because he doesn't have a bank account.
Even if his country prohibits people from using bitcoin, by doing a little research on social media or making offers on his social media, I am sure he can find that local sellers.
Don't use the website to sell your bitcoin because you don't meet the sellers, which can be too risky if you can not find legit sellers.

Owning an account of your own or buying gift cards seems like your best option but again, the gift card is a question of trust by the way, as to the credibility of the person or platform your buying from and also, the person you hope to sell it to in order to get it's fiat equivalent. It's rather way too much work and search to me. Another option would have been creating the awareness on your local board and depending on either you get a response, an agreement can be reached to commence transaction but, you not owning an account entails physical contact in a forum where anonymity is a priority.

In my opinion, you really don't need to prove anything to anyone except, it's become a lump on your chest that you just need to do away with it but then, to better handle the situation, get an ID and open an account. It saves you the stress of future search and withdrawal.

NEVER use paxful!!! their customer support is trash! Please look at their trustpilot and app review.

No ID is required will invite lots of scammers... i'm done with that site!

Even with ID there are some idiots who will try to scam, but they will cancel the trade before moderators come.

And the moderator does not exist too! if there are any disputes, good luck! Funds will be frozen more than 1 day.
If the buyer is cooperative, they will cancel the trade, but if he does not want, then your funds will be stuck until moderators come!

ALL failed trades for me.

I have never used Paxful but based on a number of previous complaints. There are many of them. Some could be due to paxful while other are due to trader's negligence When it comes to money, you have to read each and every instruction and keep your eyes peeled. Never release your bitcoins unless you have confirmed that you have the money sent to you by the other trader and there is no option for chargeback.

It is not that easy convince someone in buying Bitcoin except they have a pressing payment gateway issue and Bitcoin could be the only way to help them out. There are other processes to sell Bitcoin to fiat in the USA. Coinbase has that all he has to do is to do a KYC and trade seamlessly.

Worst part is, if they are a buyer, they won't cancel the trade. Funds will be stuck inside.
To withdraw USDT from paxful cost a freaking $7!!
And if you convert from BTC to USDT or vice versa, their exchange fees already eat up lots of the profit!

You don't have to bother yourself too much about this. It your mom your want to make a proof for. Why don't you just sign up to binance in her name, let her pass the KYC, then you send some units of BTC to her account. Sell the coin for USDC or USDT and make a fiat currency withdrawal into her bank account. She doesn't need any proof beyond that.

Paxful is a good site too.
there is only one problem. these 2 sites would also require ID verification. it's very hard to stay anonymous and stay safe at the same time. if you want to use a legit website and avoid any kind  of risks. you have to prove your identity. and if you want to stay anonymous and want to sell your bitcoins without knowing the other person. then you have to face the risks of getting scammed.

Who tells you KYC gets rid of scammers? They can use fake IDs and documents and still use the platform.
Are you trying to tell us there are no scammers on localbitcoins?

One of the biggest dangers of KYC is your documents get leaked to the public once the platform gets compromised. I will resonate this again, when using such p2p platforms, keep your eyes peeled. The assets you are trying to trade are your responsibility. Don't expect anybody to safeguard them for you.

You can try Paxful or Localbitcoins.com
But recently they changed their policy and now required some sort of verification to increase your limits.
But still without verification you can trade your BTC to Fiat for a small amount within a limit.
Moreover if your sole purpose is to get gift cards in the exchange of the cryptos then do check out these sites:-

https://www.bitrefill.com/
https://coincards.com/

Hope this helps you OP.

AFAIK, in LBC it's mandatory regardless of the amount you want to trade. As for Paxful, apparently, the limits have been lowered from 1500 to 1000$  (https://paxful.com/blog/lowered-id-verifcation-threshold/)recently... I wouldn't be surprised if they follow LBC steps and make the identity verification obligatory.

i just need to convert a couple hundred into cash so i can have the $ in my hand for proof

can anyone show me any methods?

has anyone one found a random seller on ebay selling $100 dollar bills, for like $120 for no apparent reason

i could how so ever buy ebay gift cards with it if someone was selling such item
You don't have a bank account ? How will you get the physical dollars then? Is there any bitcoin ATM in your vicinity? I doubt that, if No then to don't have a choice unless you want to use the dollar online? You can use paxful to change bitcoin into gift cards or find other platforms like paxful online like coin cards.com, goodluck

You can use bitcoin to buy gift cards to confuse your mother that you aren't wasting your time with crypto, here are legit places that accepts bitcoin for gift cards

1. Egifter.com
2. Paxful
3. Bitrefill.com
4. Gyft.com
5. Giftoff.com

I understand that you are trying to prove to your mom that crypto do works but it's better to open account sooner for some reasons, if you can't go to bank direct there are many online banking platforms, this days you don't have to visit bank to open accounts, you won't keep buying gift cards forver, it's time to man up

I think he can ask for help from his friends who have a bank account, so he can use one of the ways that many members said here. Maybe you can ask your mom to use her bank account and register on one of the third-party services that can help you convert your bitcoin to dollars, so your mom will see by herself that what you say is right. That will help to convince your mom that what you did can give you the money.

Yeah thats a great qsn..
Even though most of the countries has stated any rules against the bitcoin and it can be used legally ...
But in my county there is no such provisions for bitcoin
Since being a developing country there is no provisions related to it ..most of my friends say its it's illegal.
But i impose them since its same as earning through monetizing of youtube or facebook.

I don't know if Paypal is valid a legal tender in your country. If valid, you can use Paypal many people have available to convert usdt bitcoin to become usdt in Paypal with lower fees transaction or I think the bitcoin ATM (Coin Radar)through the help of and P2P exchange is a good place to go. if you want anonymous transactions. If you have a better choice then choose it.

You never can turn any form of digital money if you don't have a bank account. You can use a bitcoin ATM. You need not to have a bank account or a valid ID for a small amount below the verification limit. You can use several ATMs to sell all the BTC you have and convert it to cash. You also can buy gift cards by using BTC and by redeeming the card you can buy the things you need or you also can sell the person of the card to the person to get cash.
