Post by: Hispo on October 04, 2020, 05:58:21 AM
Do you like Cats or Dogs? or None ?

And Why?

I personally love Cats, looking forward to adopt an orange one someday and name him Satoshi.

I'm more with cats.

I have 5 cats that most of the time comes to sleep by my side. I got 3 other more but they're all like a grown-up and do come home sometimes.

I like more cats than dogs but I'm also thinking of having a dog soon.

i don't prefer one because i have both Cat and Dog,and proud to say that they are very close even mostly says they are best enemy's ..

My dog is now 7 years old and my cat is going 6.

why do i have them?because they are not a pet but instead they are part of family and we love them so much.

Same here. I love almost all animals and I own both a dog and a cat. It is a pleasure to see how well they get along, almost as if they are best friends and not enemies.
They cuddle, sleep together, eat together and even warm up next to each other if the weather is colder.

Interestingly, the dog chases other cats that accidentally stray into my yard.  ;D

lol cats are cringy. I'd like a white puppy that's a german shepherd breed. Would consider him/her a part of the family. Can't imagine doing the same with cats

Please note, my avatar is really a dog in drag.

That is interesting!  Orange is a color that would never be tolerated in evolution, so it would have to be human breeding, indicating domestication.   Orange was first introduced by the Egyptians, I believe.  A cat saved a royal baby from a snake, they made up a cat god, and bred cars to torture and worship the god by the hundreds of thousands.  :/    (I remember this from brainwashing classes lol)

Love both cats and dogs.  They serve different purposes.

I like dogs.

We have 3 dogs but just last month 1 of them died because of his age (13 years), he is already weak and not eating, the reason why he died.

When I was young I also like cats but because one of my kids afraid on cat, I chose not to have it anymore.

Dogs of course.
If you own a dog you can feel the love that it has for you and you receive it every day.
Cat are more selfish and lonely animals by nature and they do not rely on humans so much as dogs. They can find food for them easier if you think so they are not so bonded with people. For this reason I choose Dogs and I hope I can raise a Beagle one day.

Definitely a dog person.

My family always had dogs. My grand parents had 2, my parents had 2 and now I have one. I think it all depends on with you grew up.

Dogs since I'm allergic to cats and dogs evolved much closers to humans. Dogs will actually look for human eye contact moreso than they do their own mothers when they are puppies. There was also some studies that showed living with dogs was beneficial to the human immune system.

I have never liked cats, I am allergic to their fur...
I was known to have an allergy to cat hair when I was 9 years old, I would sneeze a long time if I smell the fur. At home, we currently have 2 dogs, 1 husky and 1 regular local dog. I really like dogs because they are more loyal and obedient and very useful for guarding the house when we go travel.

What do you think about having a cat and a dog together? Actually my neighbour have them together, not really a puppy its an aggressive breed dog and a husky cat.

I've witnessed a friend to have both cats and dogs.

They're living good and not hating each other. I think, this depends to the behavior of both pets and it's also possible that if they grew together, eat together and live together.

The normal instinct of cat versus dog won't go through.

Do you like Cats or Dogs? or None ?

I liked cats until one day a cat that lives in my aunt's house almost destroyed my arm. the cat was very violent with me to the point that every floor had my blood. Cats are extremely unpredictable and dangerous. they change their mood out of nowhere. But I like a dog and I have a dog that is 5 years old, he is very intelligent

And Why?

cats change their mood out of nowhere and are very aggressive and cowardly. if a person has a knife and trying to rob you in your house the cat will be the first to run away, he will not protect you

I personally love Cats, looking forward to adopt an orange one someday and name him Satoshi.

 :o

have you ever suffered an attack by a cat? Oh believe me cats are extremely violent. my aunt's cat was a cat that played with me a lot until one day out of nowhere he attacked me on the arm, it looked like he wanted to rip my arm off

I actually like both. They can serve different purposes at home or other places, and can be really friendly/loving pets.
I don't prefer any particular color, esp if it's not too colorful, completely too dark or white... so they don't attract too much attention from people. I don't mind having the colours though, if they won't be bothered

I like more the cats, they act smarter than dogs... But they are not as loyal as the dogs are. I feel like it depends for what you want them, if you want a pet to feel more secure then a trained dog is the solution but if you want a pet just to feed them and give some love then the cats are the option.

DOGS
Dogs are literal man's best friend, they would make you feel at calm and at ease the very first moment they see you. They would never make you feel alone which is the best part cause this really soothe your stress, pains, and anxiety. On the other hand, cats are very most likely the one who will kill you when you fall asleep. They would literally go to another house, as long as that house feeds them. They are the most independent pet I've ever had, and you can't find them unless they're hungry and show themselves in a very common area.

I really like cats than dogs, because cats are easier to care than dogs. Some things that I consider I don't want to make dogs as pets,
among others, the sound of dogs disturbing neighbors, the cost of eating is relatively expensive and keeping a dog requires a large cage.
So for now I prefer to be a cat lover, even now I have adopted 4 cats at home.

I like dogs rather than cat,
I just hate cats for so many reason but I am also bit scared of dogs if I don't know them personally because I had been bitten before by a stray dog.
So if it is just the two of them I would rather have a dog.
And I just think that puppies are cuter compared to a kitten.

I have 1 kitten and 3 adults, it's not easy to keep 4 cats. Because it is not just giving food, we also have to pay attention to its health.
And we must have time to interact with our pets, in order to create a bond between the owner and the cat that is being kept. So if we
want to raise animals, we have to pay attention to their welfare as long as they live with us and that's a big responsibility in my opinion.

This photo of a kitten that I have, is really very cute. Especially seeing the way he plays, it makes my stress disappear.

I like cats as pet give the cat time it is better to have a specific place to play with him. Give it a chance to hide anything to climb if possible cats need to pay attention to chess if you take the cat on the roof or outside every day his mind stays good he also exercises the risk of obesity decreases. If you keep cats indoors and work outside provide adequate water and food that's why cats need to be made to eat dry food.

They looks tok cute when they are at the bay stage, so yours too looks too cute and adorable. Its true that we need to spend more with your pets to create a bond and its not a simple task spend time with the pets so make sure you sre ready for that task before buying an a pet.

Good choice of name buddy. I don’t mind between cats or dogs, it depends what you’re after. Dogs are more demanding but they give you full love like no other human does, they are so loyal. Cats are kore independent & don’t need as much affection. It’s a personal choice!

I see my cat is very interested with ball, and it happens to be my favorite sport is football. Therefore, I give the name of the legendary
Brazilian player Ricardo Kaka, maybe if you are not a football fan the name sounds strange. Hopefully you can have your own cat,
because cats are quite fun to play with, they are very active and adorable.

That's true. I don't have to worry about taking them for walks, cleaning up after them or taking them to the vet.
Also, your cat doesn't need a crate, a separate sleeping area, a feeding schedule, and all that other stuff a dog requires.

But there is just something about dogs that make me feel good. They can always make me smile, they are loyal and most of all they are friendly. I love being around them and I like to give them attention.

Most dogs get really stressed out when left alone for long periods of time (for example, overnight), and after a while, just get a little crazy.
But my cats are happy to be left alone. And I get to enjoy the quiet when I need to work and think. And for the most part, they come when I call them. Cats do make good office companions.  ;)

You seem to have a wonderful relationship with your pets.
Do you adopted them as kittens or as adults?
Do you bath them or do you let them to clean theirselves?

I look forward to adopt one, but I am not sure what to do to have a strong relationship with them, strong enough for them to come to me when I would call them.

I agree, living in a big city in a small apartment it is not good to have a larger dog. Dogs need to run and have space to move around. That is probably why I don't have a dog. My parents live in a small city in their own house, they have 2 dogs and the forest is not far away, so every day the can make a big walk with them. For the city apartments it is probably better to have a cat if you really want a pet. They can stay alone for a longer period of time and don't need to go outside.

I actually have both and I love them. I have 7 dogs and 1 cat which I adopted. Dogs can be sometimes too much to handle because of their being playful and full of energy all the time while cars on the other hand would always want to stay near you. My cat always comes to me in the morning while I am still sleeping and he joins me in sleep. Both can have very different attitude but they both give you immeasurable love.

Whenever I adopt one, I would like her to be this friendly with me, I ahve heard stories about cats who are mostly uncaring or do not pay attention to the owners for some reason, I want to avoid that.

I like fluffy cats better. They are very useful, they catch mice. And what good is the dog, barks at the neighbors and bites everyone.
Some cats don't even wanna hurt Mice like what our previous cat does  ;D

They can be more independent than dogs and they are certainly curious about their surroundings, so they may try to get out by themselves.
Which I dont like, when I get one, I will provide them with supervised walks. I dont want anything to happen to them.

Okay, so I am a big dork. But I love all animals.
I love the things that animals can do for us and I try to be kind to animals as much as possible, even when they don't deserve it.
When I was five I had a pet named Blackie, he was a beautiful white cat and I spent a lot of time just petting him and watching him, I loved him so much.
I was really sad when he passed on. I haven't been without a pet a day since.

I like both of them. They're so very cute and gorgeous. I used to had a cat but he died because it was poisoned. Now i had a dog named kaki and he's pretty smart, i like it that he's so adorable. He always follows me wherever i go and is very clingy. I treated my dog as my buddy. My only best friend whose loyal to me. I mean having dogs or cats are better than having fake friends and stuff.

If your life is in danger and can't live without harming other animals then it's okay to harm them. But its depends on many conditions and rules.  :)

But it's getting annoying because their poops are irritating and even I've told them where to poop although they does, sometimes they're doing it at a wrong spot and it's too smelly.

Sambo is a South Indian boy who lives with his father and mother, named Black Jumbo and Black Mumbo, respectively. While out walking, Sambo encounters four hungry tigers, and he surrenders his colorful new clothes, shoes and umbrella so that they will not eat him. The tigers are vain and each thinks that it is better dressed than the others. They have a massive argument and chase each other around a tree until they are reduced to a pool of ghee (clarified butter). Sambo recovers his clothes and goes home, and his father later collects the ghee, which his mother uses to make pancakes.

Ghee (butter) is good stuff. So are pancakes. Now all we need is a story that tells us where the syrup for the pancakes comes from. Dogs?

I think both dogs and cats make great pets and each have unique strengths and weaknesses.
For my lifestyle, I think cats are the superior pet because of my busy work schedule and lack of access to a backyard.
Moreover, dogs require a great deal more personal attention and at this stage of my life I don’t have the time to give a dog the interaction necessary to keep them intellectually stimulated.

They require more attention, training, and regular exercise. On the other hand, cats are generally more independent, low-maintenance, and suited for individuals with a busier lifestyle. Dogs are empathetic animals, intelligent dogs, they can understand what their owners say and react immediately. Although they cannot speak, their ability to understand the mood of their owners is faster than other animals. And in this case, compared to cats, dogs show emotions, their emotional reactions to their owners are more agile and stronger than cats.
However, dog hair falls all over the house, clinging to clothes, floors, blankets, when you can't stand this problem, it is difficult to raise a dog. You need to take care of the dog's coat regularly, treat dermatitis in time for the dog to have a healthy skin and coat.

Some cat love outdoor activities also. Just engage with them.i used to have these set of 3 cat. Whenever i'm about to go out with bicycle, they will immediately go outside the gate to wait for me.

As soon as start riding on my bicycle, they will run faster after me to a certain range before going back.

Whenever, i'm free, i normally engage them in this excercise of running after me on bicycle. They seems to like the game.

I prefer to have a dog than Cat. As small as a cat is it scares the shit out of me especially when it's a black one, I will never pass near it.

I still own cats and kittens in my fam. I'm living in a close neighborhood where every house seems to be sticked with each other. It's just a temporary place and I don't like my neighbor.

I don't like them not because I don't like them but because on how they take care of their dogs. The smelly shit and fur of their dogs that seems to be not taking any bathe or clean from their owners is going through the roads whenever I step on infront of their house.

Those that are in this condition, please make sure that you're taking care of your dogs and cats. I take care mine and clean all of their shits and never bother people with those.

Dogs or Cats? (Highly off-topic)

Cats are what people are like.

Dogs are the way they should be.

You can't necessarily go wrong with either type of furry friend by your side. Dogs may appeal more to the outgoing owners able to provide proper outlets for stimulation, whereas cats may better fit homebodies needing lower-key affection. Consider your lifestyle, activity level, living space, costs, and general temperament to decide who makes the best fit! Both offer wonderful friendship.

I adore cats! I've got four little furballs at home. They're tiny and adorable, but let me tell you, they can be a handful with their occasional stubbornness. Still, their cuteness makes it all worth it!

Dogs have owners, cats have staff. If you've ever wanted to experience being a personal assistant without the paycheck, get a cat. If you want a friend who's always excited to see you - get a dog!

I like dogs. My first was Kiki, I found him when he was a puppy and I was 12 years old. He would wait for me at the bus station at the exact day and hour of my arrival and when no one knew when I would come home - the dog knew, he felt it and was there.
He died unfortunately after I stopped coming home for one entire year, I was away at university. He was 10 years old when he died, my dearest Kiki.

I don't know what is the deal with cats; had one on my head or on shoulder she would sit all day. I feel uncomfortable near cats but would not say I do not like them cats. Is a hard job to be cute

I love dogs more, i live in a place where everyone has a dog and my own family did have dogs many generations ago, I've been raised with a dog in the house and learned to love them more than cats, they are loyal, they can go out with you and play with you, you can spend a lot of time with the dog and you'll never feel time passing, you can teach them a lot of things contrary to cats, cats are so lazy, they just love sleeping and eating that's what they do the hole time.

Both! I had a dog who got very old and died. So, I stopped keeping pets.
you should have another one mate because that is harder feeling when you already got used of having pets and now when you come home from work there are nothing coming into you from the door.
maybe best to get a younger one so it will stay longer to you for at least 10 years.
I actually don't know because I like both cats and dogs!
but do you have one? because since you love cats and dogs then you must have one .

If only I am not allergic to dusts and furs I could have both animals. But if I only choose one, I'll choose a dog because they are more loyal, friendly and helpful.

Im actually scared of most animals even domestic ones however if i were to choose between dogs and cats i would have to go with dogs. Cats scare me way too much, they are so sassy and not that cheery compared to dogs. I know it’s probably based on their breed but most dogs are cheerful, energetic, and very clingy which at some point makes me forget my fear of dogs.

Yes, I also heard about it. I think I was asthmatic when I was a few years old with my brother. My brother somewhat improved while my health became better as we grew up. But my allergies started when I turned 30sh. I was also told before that asthma can be present in many ways like our skin. I am trying to live a healthy lifestyle nowadays mate.

Do you like Cats or Dogs? or None ?

And Why?

I personally love Cats, looking forward to adopt an orange one someday and name him Satoshi.

The two I like both cat and dog but where one have only a choice I will prefer dog most, my last dog acted so well as can even hear some communication very clearly.

Dog and cats both are best in their place. Actually depends on your personality, lifestyle and situation whom you wanna keep around you. I like dogs mostly because of their loyalty. Dogs could be best friend as well as it'll help you in many ways. Also like cats for their independent nature which makes people loving them more but i found cats have more ego/attitude than dogs. Well for me, dogs are good to go

if unemployed/retired, get a dog.. it will get YOU out of the house and do some exercise

if employed get a cat and a door catflap, the cat will get itself out the house when you are not home

This does not come to my mind , and this is a best advise to consider if we wanted to have pets but for now I am enough with my hamster and Rabbit though in western and europe they are in wild here in my country they are for petting .

but I consider having dog in time of retirement.

that's good advise and a great solution for them who are confused what to choice. This idea help people to opt out dog/cat depends on their situation. Although things always won't work that way. I mean, unemployment/retired people may love cats more and employed people may love dogs more. Managing times could a matter of discussion. But in my country, family members are always available to take care any of them. This is an advantage

I like both, but have a tiny preference for cats. They are so cute and silly. And as someone mentioned, it is more convenient to choose a cat if you have a full-time job. Cats are a lot more independent, generally speaking.

I love both animals, but for now, I will vote for cats.  Why? because I am loyal to my master.  I cannot disown my master.  Yes, my master is my cat and I am the servant here.  You cannot say bad to your master nor follow other masters than it.  We need to serve them well.  Feed them, comb their fur, remove their poop and clean the litter box.  We are just lowly servants here desiring to fulfill all the desires of our master - the cat.

The key difference between cats and dogs is that cats are independent, while dogs are more dependent.  Cats are generally low maintenance, while dogs require a different kind of care and attention.
