Title: Do you read the TOS of a gambling site? Honest answer please.
Post by: Natalim on October 16, 2020, 11:06:44 AM
I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?

I do 90% of the time. There are cases I just rely on how long the casino has been and on the reviews by members.

I'm not sure why but it looks like gamblers are more into reading Terms and Conditions of casinos compared to traders on centralized exchanges. If you notice in the gambling section, it's the first thing that always brought up whenever a new casino launches here especially the KYC, deposit/withdrawal, and license part (it could be because of sig campaigns too).

I read it especially when it's a new casino to know their website rules, their terms and limitations als what to expect in their website  withdrawal and deposit amount, what coins I can play with and etc. It's good to read terms in starting in a new casino to avoid mistakes later because we don't read it and blame the casino even though they put it their already, we should be a responsible gambler and make reading a habit but if it's already popular here in forum it's okay to skip reading just make sure that we're only playing in legit casinos.

Mostly never. People are using to many apps today and they don't have time to read every TOS. I'm not talking just about gambling. I personally use more than 20 apps on my phone. And betting sites have mostly similar TOs so I just assume everything will be fine and just click accept.

I read, in parts.
It is "complicated" to see all the terms, especially for those who still have some difficulty in English (like me).
However, I focus more on the parts where it talks about deposit and withdrawal limits, prohibited territories and other impositions, the need for KYC, ... these things that I consider most important.
Many times I read only after making the registration, but always before the first deposit.

Im the only 1 person who voted for "NO".

Well, im honest that i dont really read up much when it comes to terms. When i do saw a new gambling site then i do make registration and make some deposit directly.

We know that most of them arent really restricting several countries.Im just really that too lazy but so far i havent been blocked with this kind of behavior.(hopefully not).
Sooner or later i would able to find out when it comes to restriction but in most cases that do happen after i have played. hehehe

I voted Yes, so definitely, it will be one prerequisite for gamblers specially in crypto to read and understand, specially if we are talking about KYC submission. And there are cases wherein the issues arises for gamblers specially when they are about to withdraw big amounts from online gambling sites because suddenly KYC was required. And then it goes to a circus, the gamblers open a scam accusations, and then it becames a he said, she said war.

You would really need up to read everything if you don't like to experience headaches and problems because if you have done some deposit and then they do ask out for some KYC or being banned due to violation then that would really be a big hassle.
Reading up terms doesn't really consume out lots of minutes but only a few and doesn't really hurt if you do just spend some time on reading it and at least you are aware on what are the sites rules and regulation which you will be aware.
Im surprised that 1 person above doesn't really care on reading up websites terms.

Lol, there's 2/5 who voted for no, wow.. I thought it's just me but there's still one.

Not totally that I'm not reading, sometimes I read but not all the sites I am playing, and sometimes I read when I am already gambling in the site for quite a while, not unlike other gamblers where they really follow the rules, read the TOS and then click the sign up, some people like me are just lazy, I call it small stuff and I also make sure I can afford to lose my money in any way, lock it and I won't complain if I know it already violated the TOS.

Honestly, I don't usually read TOS because I'm just too lazy to read it most of the time. But the thing is, I only gamble on trusted sites with a good reputation, or what my friends recommend me so I just conclude that there would be no bigger problems and such. I also barely look for other casinos that I am not familiar with because I just stick to what I know and the one I have experienced playing. But if there is a new casino that catches my attention, of course, I consider reading their TOS.

To be fully honest, I don't read the TOS on most casino websites. Only in around 15 - 20% of the cases I actually look at the TOS. In the other cases I rely on reviews from other people. Usually I play on casinow who have been around for some time and have a positive track record. My first check is always this forum if anyone had some issues before and raises some red flags.

I voted yes because I do read the TOS of a gambling site. But I could have also voted no because I think I have never tried reading an entire TOS. I only read portions especially the part which specifies the list of countries where the site is not allowed to operate and also the parts which specify terms related to personal information. I think these are the most important parts for me.

I only skim through the TOS whenever i'm making a new account since I rarely spend more than a few minutes on it. The usual stuff I check in the TOS is just the countries they don't welcome in their site, deposit/withdrawal limits and the closing of inactive accounts. I used to skip them few years ago when gambling wasn't that huge but now that bitcoin casinos are blowing up and they update their terms every now and then I don't mind going back to see the parts they changed.

I chose the "no" option because I never get acquainted with TOS at gambling sites and I'm not going to find out the relationship through court because I don't want to lose my anonymity. In any case, if I come to play at a gambling site, I accept the rules established there.

Yes I'm reading the Terms of Service. It's important to read it since you might not know what agreement you are on, maybe there is something in their terms and conditions that might trick players so they would be able to scam them.

I choose yes when I'm going to deposit and play but if it was just out of curiosity I just proceed to sign up and don't care about the TOS if the gambling site that I am interested to sign up stated that my location is restricted I don't bother to sign up even if there is a way to proceed because I might forget and proceed to play and seeing a lot issue of about IP and country restriction I don't want to add to those numbers of complaints.

I read it partially, mostly i shortcut to the important parts such as withdrawal limits because sometimes gambling platforms tends to hold your funds until it reach a certain amount. Also the privacy policy is one of the important part because you might get caught off guard and not withdraw your cryptocurrency due to KYC issue, and not be eligible because they limit some countries to play their games.

I think it's important to read terms of service since this is the gambling site's condition on what might happen to you and your account while using the website

Also it is the agreement between you and the gambling site so it is really necessary to read those before using the gambling site

Before I decide to send money on a gambling platform that I fancy, I always make sure that I read the parts on the ToS regarding withdrawals, account suspensions, promotions and regulations. If one of those listed in the ToS do not satisfy what I usually look for, I simply don't play in that platform and half-heartedly just look for another platform to play. Those are the only things that I care about since these subjects are usually where most users' problems arise. If I have a solid understanding on their terms in regards to a problem I may have in the future, they just can't scam their way out of the mess they made with me and I might even get compensated handsomely since I know where they might have went wrong.

For me, it was never thought of because reading the TOS was eager to play more seriously so I will investigate further including reading the TOS and terms and conditions, but it would be better to read the TOS than to let it know more about the rules against gambling, sometimes I do This is with new gambling sites appearing in this forum if they are well known then I don't care about TOS.

Not really, but sometimes, I just click page by page and stop by reading the article. Maybe other members read the TOS because they want to know more about the site before deciding to deposit or sign up to the site. But since I don't play gambling too often like other people, I usually skip to read the TOS, and I think many people do the same. But I don't know about the other people, whether they read or they skip it.

I am among those who have never read the TOS when joining gambling sites, not because I'm lazy. But I always choose gambling sites
that are trusted and have a good reputation. So I find it unnecessary to read the TOS, because I already believe in a reputable gambling
site. Indeed my action is wrong, but so far I've never had a problem because I didn't read the TOS.

I ensured that I read all the TOS of any gambling site before any deposit, especially withdrawal limit, I will check if KYC is mandatory if yes I walk out this are precautions to avoid enmeshing in any problem with the site, such a problem had occurred with a gambling site fortunately we have numerous gambling sites for sampling thus choosing the preferred ones shouldn't pose any problem to me.

The only casino where I will decide to send a bit of coin are the old ones and have been in this forum at least that I have the confidence to go on without reading TOS. Keeping myself active every day in the forum makes me think I'm aware of the list of trusted casino and what is going on in the crypto space. If I find out soon that I have to submit KYC then good luck. I might just play all the coins I have deposited in hopes to win big, big enough to be worth submitting documents.

Most of the time, I do not read Terms because it is quite tiring to see how long the terms are. What I usually do is to check a gambling site's background and reputation just to make sure nothing would go wrong because I doubt most of the gamblers do read such thing, so I do anticipate issues if there are any, which will be surely discussed. But I do not suggest others to do so, ofcourse it would be better than to just agree just because it is quite a hassle on your side. But let us all make it a habit to do so espeally on sites involving money because problem may arise, right?
I always read ToS on website/services where money is involved. Something I'd suggest everyone to do.
More people should better be, not only on sites involving money but to all of the things asking you to do so. It is quite a form of a contract if I would be asked and content should be understood by the audiences.

I just go look for the discussions on the announcement thread of the respective gambling site. Here we can get to know about the tos of the gambling site, and if something isn't good it'll be under discussion. Rather than going through a long written article briefing the tos I find it easy to gather more information in a better way on the announcement thread.

not entirely at first(I only read the parts that I find the most important) but as time goes by while gambling on that site I tend to read further and further on their ToS to understand and learn more of their rules. I know I might be taking a risk by not reading the entire ToS before I gamble but I haven't run into trouble on any gambling site that I have gambled on. maybe the fact that I don't deposit a lot of money and rarely withdraw is part of the reason why I haven't run into trouble yet.

Who does? I guess I have barely read terms of service; not even in gambling, it's applicable for all the sites I have used. I guess most people don't bother to have a look at the tos although the pool is saying quite different. If they read, they would never had multiple accounts, they had never access the site from restricted countries, they would never try to abuse. But as we see a lot of complains against the gambling sites where most the times, gamblers don't follow the tos of the site.

The answer is yes! But I don't really read the entire ToS, rather I look for few key points as mentioned below,

1. KYC Requirement
2. Country ban list - to check if my country name appears there or not
3. Fund withdraw related rules

I think these are the most important things to look at while starting with a new casino.

KYC is not as important as the other two unless you are depositing thousands of dollars, most casinos will leave you along if you deposit a few hundred bucks and they'll only require you enter your country of residence and age. I don't know how many of them actually verify this information when you make a withdrawal, but the ones that don't will usually look at your KYC when they ask you for it to check if you lied about your country of residence, which wil cause your account to be closed.

Nearly all casinos mention KYC in their TOS and usually it's just to stop cheaters from abusing the platform.

When I’m new user to a gambling site I usually read the TOS as this gives me clarification about the conditions they offer to the users. It's important to me on reading the terms since I’m going to deposit some money and to use their services they offer to the users. The rules, kyc, and their rules on withdrawals and deposit which I am gathering information before I’ll start to play.

Not really. In general, if its a well known site or used by many people, I don't bother reading the Terms of Service. But, when it comes to like casino or other "controversial" sites, I do read the Terms of Service. It like each and every word, just skim through it and look for specific details (like their identity verification policy, country  restrictions and other important details). When it comes to services like this, I guess everyone should read their terms. I have seen people breaching ToS and then make a huge post over here and crying because their account got blocked.

KYC is the most important among the 3 mentioned. You'd not only lose the enormous amounts you deposit but your name that they can extort you instead. That's another reason why they ask KYC, either steal your ID or extortion purpose. I haven't heard of casino extorting though but its not going to be fun for a victim.

You know nothing about them but they know you with all your details and this is just a casino that could be operated by scammers.

LOL are your serious? Most of the time the ToS are very long and don't mean anything.
Moreover exchanges, casinos and other services don't care about them, they do what they want at the end.
I only read them when I have a question or a problem, but they rarely solve my issue...  :-\

Sometimes reading but skipping more often, so I chose not. Basically I am not a big gambler so I conclude there is nothing to pay more attention to for an ordinary gambler, that is to say that even the maximum bet amount I have never touched, so it can be said that I as a lower class gambler will definitely not surpass that and other things I think still in gambling standards. After all, as time went on I only used famous gambling sites so I also figured it would be at least fine and I was comfortable until now with that behavior or habit.

I'm biased on this question.
The reason: I read ToS with a service I believe which looks complicated or has complicated statements in their threads here. I check whether my country is allowed there to play or not, their bonus terms, the privacy statements and most importantly, their deposit/withdrawal terms and fees. The sites I'm familiar with or the ones I played at for a long time (though never gave their ToS a read before), I don't think I'll ever read their ToS because I trust them as there had been no issues in the past. :)

Seeing the poll right now seems that 16 out of 34 users are not reading the Terms of Service of a gambling site which is I think is dangerous for them since you didn't know which agreement you accepted since I know that once you created an account you already accepted their terms and conditions maybe including asking for a KYC.

I think all players should read the ToS of the casino they are signing up, if they are depositing money to the casino. Because when it comes to withdrawal time, you don't know what issues are you gonna face with. This is the reason why a lot of players are complaining after they encountered issues from the site, and the site will say, the player violated a specific item from  their ToS. Not only KYC issues, but sometimes the use of VPN, and others.

I might read TOS but more like skim through it, I think its more important to subscribe to the main forum thread for that site and any other feedback threads and see discussion of any particular sticking point in usage or rules like this.    Most often I'll sign upto a site but wait later for it to be more established rather then relying on it immediately for anything important or significant use, sometimes the lesser quality, flaky or short term sites become obvious in their intent over time.   My ability to decipher lawyer speak is not something I'd lean on to save me from alot of mistakes.

It is not that dangerous though, there's nothing much you can do in gambling site but to gamble, deposit play and withdraw that's if you do shit outside than that without reading the term of service that's the time that you need to check it. Even me I don't read TOS, coz what the hell am I going to do with their platform, I just wanna play and other people too.

I tried reading a TOS once and to be honest I can't understand anything about it especially the legal ones, if you're not a lawyer or some sort you'll be lost to it lol

^ Just a part of the whole content of TOS, but I will never read it all. I will proceed to the FAQ of the gambling site, that is why I appreciate if the gambling site does have a FAQ which they know what those frequently asked questions. As a result of your poll are almost the same. Probably most gamblers are looking to the promotion of the site, not just by the TOS. Some of the reasons why gamblers have always an issue with the gambling site because they don't read the TOS which is the most important part of the site.

TBH, I don't read the full details on the gambling site. Reading terms&conditions is good to know what can happen if something goes wrong because you will explain your rights or not broken the TOS of the casino. If I want to use the bonus funds before the deposit, I carefully check the wagering rules and pay attention to the withdrawal conditions.

It depends on what you mean by reading the TOS, if you mean to read the entire thing I will be honest and say that I only do this once I have a long history of playing in that casino in order to know their policies a lot better, but if I am trying a casino for the first time or I have not played much there I only read the sections of the TOS that I think are the most relevant, for example I try to find if I am allowed to gamble in the casino based on my nationality since I do not want to run into the issue of getting lucky and then find out that they did not allowed people from my country to pay to begin with.

To be honest, if I gonna deposit a huge amount I will read the major points regarding the allowed countries, deposit wagering requirement, withdrawal terms, etc. Reading the general data is waste of time for me and I prefer to check the analysis websites for reading the general feedback. In all other conditions, I skip the agreement part but go back to read if I made a big money on my lucky day. If I feel lucky that day, maybe I will not skip and start to search for specific words on TOS: VPN, BONUS, Wagering, Withdrawal, Country, ban, illegal, etc

Same here. If I will be depositing considerable amount, I read the ToS first.
Check the KYC/withdrawal requirements, you can skip some parts if you feel it doesn't pertain to you as a gambler.
Better be safe than feel sorry at the end. And yes, FAQ section is actually very helpful to the players.
But from the results of the poll, you can see that a lot of gamblers are really not reading the ToS, so expect that problems are really in the air.

Most of the gamblers right now aren't reading the TOS of the gambling site and that includes me :)

I'm not gambling that much so spending too much time on the TOS of the site is considered useless and not worth it. For some especially for those hardcore gamblers then they really must read the TOS or they will just complain here and complain there. I'm not depositing huge money in gambling sites that is why I will not spend time reading it.

Mostly never. People are using too many apps today and they don't have time to read every TOS. I'm not talking just about gambling. I use more than 20 apps on my phone. And betting sites have mostly similar TOs so I just assume everything will be fine and just click accept.
Same thing also happened to me that I didn't read the TOS of a gambling site. This is my honest answer. You used almost 20 apps but I use more than 40 apps++ regularly. The maximum is browser and gaming apps. I have almost 5 betting apps on my phone and I found almost the same rules everywhere.

When we do play on a gambling site. Its always been suggested to read up sites terms and conditions before you do play, at least you are fully aware on what are their
rules and the countries that they had prohibited or they dont like on having multiple accounts etc. We know that each of them does have jurisdiction on particular area.
Seems like people arent really that fan on reading up Terms and conditions until they do experience problems.

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?

I voted "NO" because i didn't bother to read TOS and just rely on the feedback on some users on that particular gambling sites.

One reason i don't read TOS is because i don't keep large amount of money of gambling sites and i don't break rules like multi-accounting that lead to the banning of account that most of us here are complaining.

Quite frankly, it is not my practice to read the entire ToS of the sites I am using, especially not during the account creation. I just tick on the box saying "Yes" or "I understand" or "I agree" without actually carefully or thoroughly going over them in details. That includes exchanges, gambling sites, and so on. But it doesn't mean I haven't done it. I've also read countless of ToS in the past, oftentimes doing it after I already got in.

But I always make sure that the site I'm depositing my money in is a reputable one. That of course includes gambling sites. That's basically to counter the risk. As far as other sites are concerned such as social media or email, I admit I haven't read a single ToS.

Honestly, In the past I don't care about what the casino TOS is, I know it's too risky for me, but it is in the past and it is a good thing that I didn't experience any problem regarding the TOS of the casinos I am playing. But today, If I am playing on a new casino I would read their TOS even I found it a waste of time. There are many issues now about country bans and about using VPN, It's logical for me to see the country restriction of that casino.

This is how we differ from each other because i prevent myself from playing in new sites unless there is a free spin or some bonuses then i will try to visit and play.

But the whole time of my gambling career?i mostly play for new sites if they are being advertise in my signature so i need to try their site so i won't be blamed wearing signature of scam casino.
from this i can prove to the incoming players their legitimacy and i will be proud of what i am bringing.

Natalim, please be more specific with the question. Is it reading before playing?

Those who voted "no" probably thought it's reading before playing. I think most of them are forced to read parts of the TOS later when they withdraw. This is mostly the case I see in the scam accusation board. Player would complain that his account and funds were frozen then say he doesn't know why. Casino owners will then come and say the player violated a rule in the TOS.

I voted yes even though I don't read the whole TOS. I mostly check country restrictions, KYC, and fees.

It's better if you read before depositing at any new casino so you are well aware of their restrictions if any.

There is a difference between TOS and FAQs. I mostly read the faqs where all the details about county bans, KYC and withdrawal/deposit limits are listed but i rarely read the TOS (Terms of service as it is more complicated and lengthy)

I do, but not entirely. Heck, I ignore most of them sometimes, but really, it depends on how much I know about the site already. I come across platforms from forums that have reviews on them that already contain info I want, so if I ever do try that site, I ignore everything and just head-on. If I'm completely new though, I try to look for some info, specifically for KYC, withdrawal, and deposits, countries allowed, etc. Most TOS contain generic information anyway, like hacking/taking advantage of a loophole, etc. is banned or something like that, so there's really no use in reading it all.

Ofc, this happnes before I play, when I actually sign up to their site. I have plenty of time, especially since it reduces the amount of pain in the ass to come whenever some issue or problem crops up due to either their or my fault.

We are free to check the TOS or leave it like that. But I think they are read TOS before or after they played, so no matter when they read the TOS, they just read it. But some people always check and read the TOS before they join, and usually, when the new gambling site launch here, many members will read it and ask the @OP if they don't understand or suggest adding something. When other people read that new gambling site thread, they can see what it does and don't decide to join and play on that site.

Honestly, I never intentionally read TOS. There is not much reason for me to read TOS since I have never been banned in the from joining any gambling site. Most of the casnios only make restrictions on developed country and they do not really care about third world country where I currently locate in. However, having hobby of reading TOS is not meaningless at all. It helps you to raise the awareness of rules and regulations so as not to violate any laws. Being banned in casino is uncomfortable. Usually everything takes more than a week to be solved

Therefore, if you have quite a time, I suggest you should spend some of your time to read the TOS and you will never regret. Who knows. Maybe one day your country will be prevented from participating in any gambling site without any inform.

Although you have never faced any issues so far, it is always better to read the ToS first before create an account or better to read it before you want to deposit for the first time. Indeed most ToS looks similar to each other but there can be a significant difference that may give you a problem in the future if you do not notice it. It is not only about restricted countries or country regulation but there are many things under the ToS. Dont take it easy when it comes to something related to your own money unless you do not really care of losing money for something you do not notice.

To be honest no, maybe that is not the problem for me. Online casinos should have the palyers best interest in mind and I think that is a tacit agreement between the online casinos and the players. Most TOS are just a copy of any other existing TOS, besides why go to this site when you do not trust them in the first place.

it depends.
I check TOS if I am going to made a "big deposit" or I am not sure about their local regulation (in my country there is a monopole that doesn't allow foreign bookmaker to made business here).
however the only part that I check always is related bonus/or any promotion, just to be safe and follow their rules!

I think that is a risky move that you will only read the TOS after you registered in a gambling site because what if the site is not licensure that you already handed them your personal information to them without knowing they are legitimate. Also, I think most legitimate gambling sites and other sites have their TOS because it is proof that they are safe and secured, so I read them the TOS before signing up or registering an account.

^ All gambling sites should have TOS, and that is recommended for them, that is impossible if they don't have TOS. For me, if they don't have TOS they are not operating legitimately since TOS is an agreement between the clients and the gambling operators, once you have used the site, it means you agreed the TOS. Nevertheless, that is a bad practice if you will skip the TOS upon using a gambling site, make it sure you read it properly to avoid possible trouble in the future.

If you are a serious gambler who is also a high roller or bettor, it is indispensable that you should read the TOS first before signing up. With a huge amount of money involved, risk should be minimized. Which also means a gambling site without a TOS should not even be considered.

You can never go right with a site which does not even have a TOS. That is a very basic thing in gambling sites, much more basic than a license. But a serious and high roller gambler should not even be risking depositing big amounts if a gambling site is not licensed. You don't court troubles if you are risking big amounts of money.

I agree. He will only risk his money if he doesn't read the TOS. But I am sure that if he is a serious gambler, he will have his best gambling site to playing gambling, and he will not try with the gambling site which he doesn't know. He will take care of his money and will not let himself to pick the wrong gambling site. That will be different if he uses small money. But it is advisable always to read the TOS, so we know the gambling site rules.

actually mostly happens even we have already read the TOS but if the gambling site thinks there are fishy or they are fishy
then freezing will still happen.

most cases clearly stated that the violation is about having Multiple accounts in those sites things that can be easily point out to give
the gamblers violation but the truth is the site just don't wanted to pay the winner and that's why the freezing happens.

Do we see the result of this survey if we may participate? I hope OP will give the data for this kind of survey. By the way, my answer is No I did not read the ToS of the gambling website because all I want is just to play but sometimes when I have problems or issues with their platform I'm reading their FAQ too to give awareness to my self. So why I don't read those text it's too many words and explanation I'm a typical person just want to direct the key points immediately.

The lessen the word the easier to understand. For me, it's better to highlight all of the things users must need to know.

Just my opinion only this is the reason why.

That is so true. People are a little selfish and self-centered. If nothing's untoward happening, they would even heap praises on the site. But when something's wrong which is not even the site's fault, it is very easy for them to point finger and cry foul. Most won't admit responsibility over their very own negligence.

TOS reading is a must but I only gamble with very little amount that is why I don't take TOS reading religiously. Should things go wrong and my account is locked out due to clear TOS violation, I might not really fight it out as if I'm being scammed.

But it would be a different story if I am gambling thousands of dollars. I will see to it that every detail of the TOS is well understood.

well, indeed every gambling place provides information about TOS that can be used for more information about how this gambling place makes withdrawals and deposits which will usually have processing time and even some other gambling place rules that are usually contained in the TOS they have created. unfortunately we as gambling players sometimes ignore the TOS that existed before the case occurred on the account used for gambling.

I already entered my vote.
It's a "no".  ;D
Now, the "no" votes are fighting back against yes.
As of now, it's 31 yes vs 30 no.

An honest answer to me. I am really lazy about reading all the TOS.
I'd like reading reviews more than just something that is copied from somewhere else and edited it a little.

it's a tie score now, 31-31, I like to admire those people who are honest with their answers, voting for no because I want to be honest myself, but don't call me a dumb gambler as I know the risk and I know what I'm risking.

Look like more people do not read the TOS. I am also careless when it comes to reading the TOS. I mostly read the comments on the ANN thread of the site and directly ask the question here on the forum if i am confused about any terms. However reading TOS is a good habit and should be adopted.

I hope OP is not making this survey for the gambling sites to know, lol.. If they'll know that majority of us here are not really reading the TOS, they might make some sudden changes that is not in our favor. By the way I voted no because OP says he wants and honest answer.

Well, perhaps that is worth it to read if you will spend a huge amount of funds on gambling. I always afraid of violating their law that makes my account lock, --suspended, and perhaps it will be banned because you don't know the rules. It is has been taking advantage to have knowledge because you can simply avoid what in the gambling site implemented. I will read the term of use and the frequently asked question. These are very important to avoid such offense that you perhaps don't know.

Just like what I've said, lol. When my identity is at risk or plans to deposit a large amount of crypto on a gambling website, I patiently read some parts of their Terms of Services. But in my case, that's not too frequent to use gambling websites or rarely deposit a large amount of crypto. I prefer not to read too many long pages ToS.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?
Im the only 1 person who voted for "NO".
Because you were too quick to vote for a NO  ;D There are many others who voted NO after you including me.
More than 35 people actually voted for a NO. Now this seems interesting ain't it  :P

Sooner or later i would able to find out when it comes to restriction but in most cases that do happen after i have played. hehehe
Even I don't really read the Terms and Conditions more often. I just check the site and if it gives me the vibes then I just proceed and play on it.
Until now none of the sites I have gambled in have turned out to be scam or has bothered me in any way.

I don't quite sure they will remove it some users here are really serious about the terms and conditions and will not agree that the casino will not have a terms and condition that would be really dangerous for all the players of that casino.

Since this is a survey, I would like to honestly answer :
No

I do believe that the starting page is the only one I even look at , most of the times I check the reviews of the site and most of the times it's the sites which are involved in the forum , the ones with the signature campaigns so these sites are the one's that I can trust since most of them take these things seriously.

TOS is much like the user agreement therefore I believe just how we ignore the end user agreements most people ignore the TOS too.

I hope OP is not making this survey for the gambling sites to know, lol.. If they'll know that majority of us here are not really reading the TOS, they might make some sudden changes that is not in our favor. By the way I voted no because OP says he wants and honest answer.

I believe people tend to gamble on sites without any knowledge of TOS. So this dangerous part is really something to be looked upon .

It should be used friendly for sure, but also save site from some problems.

Yes, I do. Although I must say that I do not read some parts that I think that are generic or sometimes I just go back at certain parts whenever I am confused or getting worried for some reason. And I usually do this with new casinos, because like many gamblers I also depend on reviews of other gamblers about a particular casino.

I don't read TOS, I read reviews and what people have to say (at least the one who have tried) about the specific gambling site, that's enough for me. For all the doubts I have, I contact support! Usually my concerns are bonus related, am I eligible for the bonus (because of the country I am from, currency I plan to deposit, wagering requirements, etc). I find contacting support before everything is advantage, you can check how fast they are, how much they care about customers...if support is good more chances that casino is good too!

Honestly I don't really read much the Terms and Condition since for me it's too long to read I know that we should be reading those because it is one of the first thing to do when playing for the first time in that gambling site since not all the casinos and sports betting website are the same. This topic is good according to the poll it seems that a lot of users are not reading the Terms and condition now I know the reason why some people are accusing gambling sites and the gambling sites are blaming users for violating their terms and conditions.

I am surprised by the poll results! I didn't expect to see many gamblers voting "no"!
It, somehow, explains why there are so many topics complaining about their accounts being locked or being unable to withdraw their funds.

Reading the ToS of any platform/company before using its services is a must especially when money is involved.
It's like a contract between you and the platform and by using any of the services offered by the latter, you implicitly agree to all their terms.

It's typical to read ToS in new casinos, I don't read ToS only when it's already established here in forum, I mean those who have active threads and have players that keep posting some of their wins as well feedbacks and complaints. Sometimes I just checked here in forum whether the casino have bad reputation to avoid reading ToS which sometimes are way too long, unlike here in forum we can see if they have red tag already.

To be honest, I don't read TOS of any website in the internet. Actually everyday I visit so many new websites for my work or any other things. So for the short of time I can't read TOS of websites that I visit. Gambling websites are one of these. I play bets in many websites like Roobet, Betnomi, Betbtc regularly. But didn't read their Tos yet. -_-

I don't read TOS, I read reviews and what people have to say (at least the one who have tried) about the specific gambling site, that's enough for me.

although reviews or feedback are a great way to decide whether to gamble on that specific site or not but sometimes it is unreliable. there are tons of competition going on in the gambling industry and a lot of them giving a false review or feed to make the gambling look/sounds good or bad. either way, reviews and feedbacks are still a great way to decide whether to gamble on that gambling site or not. but I don't rely on it too much and I encourage other people to do the same(at least if they asked me).

I am surprised by the poll results! I didn't expect to see many gamblers voting "no"!

sad to say that I already expected for this to happen since I too don't read the full ToS but only what I deemed important. and that is also why most of the time I am reluctant to believe a complainant saying that they didn't break any of the rules. unless they provided enough evidence to prove their innocence(same goes for the gambling site).

I am pretty lazy in terms of reading and understanding their TOS but I explore their FAQ page and other important information that I need in order to play safely in every gambling site that I am using as I don't like my money to be freeze just because I do something stupid actions.

Reading the TOS will always be recommended for people who visit the gambling site for the first time. But if he visits on the site from a long time ago, I think he will know the TOS, and he will not have a problem to deposit or withdraw his money. We need to read the TOS if we are not familiar with the gambling site because I think each gambling site has different TOS and rules. But I believe that we know about reading the TOS to make sure that we can accept the rules, and if we can't accept the rules, we can move to other gambling websites.

Yes as this is a obligation of every responsible gamblers mate, and being responsible will save you from BS and mistakes gambling might bring you.

This is like how we obey rules in life  and laws of our government,TOS is one best way also to make your self aware of the possibilities of losing your money if did not follow.

It doesnt have to be a High bettor to read and understand the TOS because being a gambler this is the first thing you must do while entering the gambling sites.

Not that I don't trust yahoo62278 but I totally respect the man himself for he managed many campaigns (totally good campaign) in the past but I don't think just because it's been managed by a well-known member it also shows how trustworthy the site is. A manager could also be wrong and it's not a safe haven because he's the one managing it.

By the way, TOS as well is not only for the high bettors it is for those people that using the casino's service or any other services.

Gambling sites can change their TOS without telling anyone regardless of the fact that they know that we read the TOS or not. However good gambling sites will always inform their users and keep them in confidence, if they make any changes of their regulations.

The manager is not the owner of the casino. Trusting the manager and not reading the TOS is certainly not right. You can trust the manager because you will be sure that he will pay you in time but at the same time you should read the TOS on the site too and do your own research.

Well a forum IS one of the ways to actually find good sites, especially a forum that is filled with well-known veteran members that actually offer honest opinions and replies to questions, still reading the TOS even without being a high bettor is still a requirement imo. Don't really need to read everything, if you're not a high bettor, you can pretty much just read the deposit withdrawal agreements as well as countries allowed or restrictions for each country in their TOS, and you should be done.

Not really surprising tbh, only those more experienced ones would read TOS since they've experienced the pain of having problems with their accounts. Most people actually experience close to zero problems when playing, so they just continue on with the same attitude not just with gambling sites but with other sites as well, since really let's be honest here, reading the TOS is a pain in the ass, and is more often than not unnecessary for others.

I don't bother reading that very long ToS. I don't gamble big amount so even if I win, it won't be difficult for me to withdraw it. And I think most people don't even read it too.

I'd rather read the FAQ page to see how much is the fee for withdrawal and if I can withdraw it without kyc.

I do, not 100% but around 80-90% I've read it. I don't mind if it's long, I'm quite a fast reader. I do still read it even though I already know that the site is trustworthy, I just felt I need to double check it myself. TOS is available for you to read. It's a crucial part of gambling cause money will be involved and it's for your own safety too.

I voted no, TOS of these gambling sites are all the same I read one of it so it's like I read all of the site's TOS if there is an FAQ I go there and that's what I read and memorize because it's the sum of all the site's basic rules, but when I am going to deposit and play for a long time I see to it I read the important rules so I will not get into trouble.

Well maybe you are correct but it is better to read still because you will lose nothing by reading the TOS but you may lose everything if you did not follow their TOS.

and also there will be a chance that others will have different Terms Of Service so better be aware of that.

I cant imagine the result, I thought we are in a community that has enough knowledge about gambling, tha6t's why there are too many people who have many troubles upon using the site because of not reading TOS.

Don't be lazy of not reading the TOS because that is a very important factor to avoid some troubles in the future. Because every gambling site has different perspective TOS. You cant say sorry once you have violated the rules, it will automatically suspend or lock your account without knowing you.

This is because TOS are often just a copy of one. If you have read one TOS before, its likely that the rest of the TOS of other websites has same content. We are fed up of TOS and its a time wasting if all you just do there is bet dice and when losing a capital, you move to another casino to once again bet. We are hopping from one casino to another and their TOS are almost the same.

Make it 36 as I'm favor reading those TOS. Well, the fact is we tend to forget to read the TOS when we are entering a casino or whatever platform it is, may it be exchanges or gaming platform etc. But for some reason when there's some problems arises it's our go-to to clear the smoke we are into and I think that's fine.

Besides, the vote remains neutral in a sense because the question only corresponds if anyone are reading the TOS, it does not corresponds whether you read the TOS before you accept their service/s. I don't think we lose time on reading those but if you just want to know a specific term on the TOS just like KYC, withdrawal, restricted country or something like that you could use Ctrl+f to do that if you're using PC.

That's exactly what I do every time, I won't go through the whole thing and I just search the keywords that I'm interested in like KYC, withdrawal and deposit and I agree that doing it this way won't take much time at all and that way definitely you will be aware of the important parts of TOS, of course it wouldn't be like reading the whole thing but it's certainly way better than not reading it at all and using the website blindly not knowing what kinds of issues you will be having along the way.

Honestly sometimes I don't read the terms and conditions of the casino for those who are likely common like dice game etc. I'm just reading their FAQs since the terms of service are most likely the same but I always read TOS of the sports betting websites since they have different terms of service when using their websites.

The important thing that we should know is about KYC, withdrawal and deposit, and I think that would be enough to understand their global rule. We should read their TOS not to break their rules because we don't want to see they will block our account. But if you want to know the whole things in the TOS, you need to spend more time to read one by one of their rules, so you know what it is, and you can write it up in your note.

It looks like majority of players didn't read the terms and conditions rather than users who reads terms and conditions. It's true that sometimes we're lazy to read this because it's too long but what i do is search using the word search for the KYC and other stuff lang deposit and withdrawal to make it easier.

I don't usually read TOS as long as the platform is already trusted by many users. I know it's wrong since we should know what's inside a TOS, much information there might help us in case of conflict so it's important to give attention to it.

To be honest, I'm lazy to read, and just trusting a platform if it consists of a lot of good reviews. Also, if you're doing good and just doing casual betting on the platform, there will be no problem for you, it's fine if you didn't read it.

I read the TOS of the website I'm playing too especially if I'm going to choose it as my main platform on where I would play a lot. It's one of the things a player should do isn't? Maybe you just didn't know that the website you are playing are just fooling you or you might do something unexpected that against their TOS such as using multiple accounts and VPN.

I usually skim through them but I’m not going to get caught out because -

1.) I don’t multi account
2.) I don’t try & double spend
3.) I’m not involved in some weird, scammy betting ring
4.) I don’t use VPN so only play on casinos my jurisdiction allows me to
5.) If asked to provide KYC docs I do it

The above are 5 of the main reasons people get their money confiscated, accounts closed etc. It’s not tough to be a fair, honest gambler.

Well, am not a lawyer, i have limited time to read every bit of TOS in gambling websites. Apart from the gambling websites I care little for others because I mostly have little to lose. Sometimes the TOS of gambling websites looks bogus for my liken, and with my little zeal and patience for myself in terms of reading I only read few lines that  burndered on deposits and withdrawals, also, on their restrictions for countries.

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?
It's interesting that the results are basically spread 50/50. I think that only "yes" and "no" is not enough to see the whole picture. I don't read everything on every website because it's usually a pretty long text, but I do always go through the ToS, skim the text and pay attention to the parts about the rules, withdrawal/deposit, KYC. And from the responses I can understand that others sometimes do the same thing. So I voted 'yes', but it's not like I read all of it attentively from the beginning to the end. But not reading at all seems dangerous to be because you can break the rules without knowing it.

I was honest with my pick because I don't read it. It's usually too long for me to bother. I rely on other people's opinions and reviews to find what I need.

TOS are long text, I think they should just put a audio/video reading it and the text are just optional that you can click to view and then a checkbox below when there is the need to agree.   :D

I have not read any of it too but I will, however, ask the mods of the casino in teh chatbox what I needed to know if they'd treat it as illegal in some ways.  KYC most of the time is what I ask.

When i do saw those very long text then majority would really have the impression that they would most likely ignore it or they would just simply click out that agree button then proceed.
Most of gambling sites doesnt really have a pop up kind of terms which you would need to browse it when you are already on the site. How about giving up those terms when you do tend to
surf the site? The main window will show about terms and condition? on which it can possibly for users to read it up? but well this isnt something in house obligation though for them to read up the
terms because even if you do spoon feed those info it will be still just be ignored.

article is different and they dont cover the terms of service of a site but they mainly post the overview of the site such as its features  . you should read the terms of service of a site even if you deposit small amount because that is still money and you cant guarantee that you will be okay all the time , its better if we are prepared and equipped with knowledge .

articles are seperated or they posted on another site and the info can be outdated and you cant rely of others feedback because that can be missleading . its better if we check it our selves  . i know its time consuming but lets not be lazy for our own good .  we can defence ourself if the site do something on our account because we already know all the rules

and sometimes the things we want to know about gambling sites are already in these reviews. So many people think they don't need to
read TOS anymore when joining gambling sites.

No, I think you are not alone because I think many people do the same as you. If people can read the reviews from here or search more about the gambling site, I think they will know what is necessary, and they will know how to avoid breaking the rule in that gambling site. If they can find the reviews from other members here, they can skip reading all of the TOS, and they will know the point. But it is better to read the TOS if we have time to read it, so we know more details about the rules on that gambling website.

Honestly, I don't read most parts of it. I scan through it but not necessarily read it words by words. There are instances that I don't read it, especially if I don't intend to use the platform for long, or was just there to try it out. I bet most gamblers don't bother reading the TOS.

I vote yes, but not all the TOS I read just the part that I think is important like deposit, withdrawal, or if there is restricted countries mentioned.
With a long TOS and sometimes some that are difficult to understand, I'm sure many gamblers who choose to skip it, might not have a problem if the funds we use are small, but my advice is never to skip reading it if the site is new and the funds used are big enough.

It looks like the more people really doesn't care about the Terms of Service of gambling sites.

Some casinos may took advantage to its players knowing that most of them didn't read the Terms and Condition and might trick them out.

I read it especially when it's a new casino to know their website rules, their terms and limitations as what to expect in their website  withdrawal and deposit amount,
Yeah, that's true, I am looking only for some help about the withdrawal and depositing of the amount o I won't get nervous whenever the money that has been transferred is bot yet coming because sometimes it takes an hour.

I think the TOS for every gambling site does not have much different, but we need to read it all TOS if we want to know for more details. Maybe I am like you, which don't read the TOS because I don't search for many things on the gambling site. I only want to enjoy my free time by playing gambling games without any problem. Honestly I do not read the ToS rather I visit the ANN thread of the casino here at the forum and thankfully someone always does the hard work and fine loop holes in the ToS and casino as a whole. I never had the energy to read the terms and conditions literally but if no one is having problems on the ANN thread for the casino then I believe I am no different and should be safe to play.

Also I never had any problems with any casino related to terms and conditions and never gave too much attention to these things. Yes at times there are KYC asked from certain casinos but as they are trusted I don't find much problems with that.

it can be daunting to read the entire terms and conditions. what players can do instead is to look for keywords and use the Find function on their browser. some of the key terms to look for are: wagering requirement, country restriction, deposit, withdrawal, license, etc. If you can't be bothered to read word per word, just do this quick search to have an idea about the important details found in the terms and conditions.

No, I don't I found out that most of them have the same TOS, so I don't bother reading all the TOS of gambling site where I register only when I am actively playing and will deposit a big amount, I already know the basic rules that every gambler should follow like do not create more than one account and do not use VPN or if you see a warning sign that they are not available in your country, do not cheat the system by using a VPN, another one is creating fake credentials just to confirm your identity.

Most of the time I don't read the terms of service. But I do it when it comes to a new casino, which have launched recently. I have played at many old gambling sites without reading the tos, I have trusted them as they are running their casino from so long and have good reputation as well. Nowadays many casino adds some unique conditions at their TOS, those may not user friendly always. For this I read it at some new gambling site before joining there. Obviously I hate it if any casino ask for KYC.

As long as we are playing from our own deposit, without having multiple account and not from restricted country there is less chance to face any problem at gambling site. This is the thing what I keep in my mind always before joining new one.

It's all the same for every gambling site. There's no use of reading 12 pages of useless things.
Just be sure about a few things though
1. Does they allow your country or not.
2. Does they allow VPN and multi account or not.(many don't)
3. Do they require KYC for every users or not. (most don't but all of them would ask one if found your behavior suspicious)

Other things like currency, exchange and house edges would be easily found when you are in action inside the site.

I read them but not all of them because I think reading the most important passages is enough to get information. As a gambler, I don't think we should read all of them from start to finish especially if the site doesn't restrict my country and they are already a trusted site and don't require KYC. That's enough to make me play on the site. Reading all of them is a good choice to find out more about what this site needs for player, but I think it will take a while and most sites have the same rules even if there are slight modification.

There might be a gambling site that has the same TOS but it's not always 100%, There is a casino that needs to submit KYC first before playing or before withdrawing and there is a casino that has a different license that has restricted countries and the restricted countries are different in each casino. It's important nowadays to read TOS because it might give you stress whenever they freeze your account for not abiding by their TOS. There are issues in this forum that the problem is the country that the player is living is banned in accessing the casino but the player bypass it by using VPN which sometimes is also prohibited in the TOS of some casino.

2-3  minutes of reading doesn't hurt that much.

Majority would really have the same rules applied and as mentioned there would be slight modifications like countries prohibition and kyc matters.

Most of the time people doesn't really read up much with that very long text to be read out and just play directly as long they do able to access it and lots of
people do trust them up and that should be enough.

Its neither you do read or not, as long we can able to play and they do pay then that what matter most.

If there are many complaints about the blocked account on the newly registered gambling website, I will read for understanding the reasons or protecting future myself. The same rules are written on the TOS of gambling websites, I prefer to save time without reading the bunch of words. There is a risk of getting locked of account but it happens rarely. The only thing that can be prevented is the special limit conditions depending on the country. Checking each rule about the sports betting and delayed events can be headache for me, to be honest. So short answer is: Sometimes Yes  and sometimes NO

I voted "YES".

reasons:
- Ensure that I am not wrong in that gambling site
- Ensure the detail and information about the site
- Ensure everything is okay before I agree to play in there
- Ensure about the very specific information of the site, at least here:
Quote
End User License Agreement;
Withdrawal Rules and Policy;
Game Rules;
FAQs;
Sports Betting Rules;

So, I will not regret any decisions and also minimize making mistakes. However, sometimes, badly, I also only follow the other trusted members there  :D ;D ;D

Most of people do neither read ToS nor FAQ. There are two types of people who break rules on exchanges or casinos:

- Break rules because they don't read ToS/ FAQ.
- They read but they try to cheat the system and when they are caught and get account closed or restrictions, they lie that I don't know those rules.

ToS, do you read it before using new platforms? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5180514.msg52321368#msg52321368)

Yes, Honestly when I register in the gambling I was reading the Term of Service so I can sure that I cannot experience any trouble when I use their platforms. Reading TOS mostly most the people did not read they accepting the terms and that is the problem and when they encounter they blaming the gambling platforms. Make sure when you accepting a TOS make sure you read all the details so you can understand very well your agreement between you and the gambling website. Don't be lazy because it takes only a minute when you read their TOS.

I have never read one.

Been on about 5-6 gambling sites without any issues.
I would say you must be lucky or maybe you don't visit new casinos because there are flaws in a lot of casinos and they can play around those flaws and deny your profits if you somehow manage that. I do check the terms sometimes when I am free but it is not like I check and read before I play, when I have free time I love doing proofreading kind of stuffs.

But that said most of the terms for all websites are similar so don't think a big problem has ever been caused to any gambler just because they did not read the full terms and conditions.

But I do always check all the details and the wager requirements when claiming any bonus because I have been fooled numerous times in past where I would claim a bonus and later the deposit would also get stuck and now I have to wager 50-60 times to even get my deposited money into withdrawable money.

That is useful tips for gamblers to know the things that can break the rules. As long as we can follow their rules, even if we only read the global rules, I think we will be okay, and we will not get a ban or block by them. But if you want to know the details about the rules, you need to read the TOS. We need to accept the TOS if we're going to play gambling games on their site, and we don't have to try to break any rules because that can give us a bad experience in the future.

This is a very nice comment! If people are honest and don't try to cheat/scam, or to bypass house rules in some way, they will not have problems! I do as you, I don't have VPN, I play in casinos where they accept players from my country, if I am asked I will provide KYC! I never had any serious problem with any crypto casino where I played, but I stick to trusted casinos, and mostly I choose casinos from that have ANN thread here!
Respect for the last sentence "It’s not tough to be a fair, honest gambler.", who is honest and fair will not have problems in any honest and fair casino! At least not some serious problems, and if there're something with good support any problem will be solved quickly!

Terms of service or Terms and conditions for some is the official written rules of a certain gambling site it is the like the official rules/agreement of the user and the player and if the user sign up on the gambling sites without reading the Terms and condition or Terms of service they automatically agree on the agreement of the gambling site might include the providing of KYC documents which most of us didn't like.

As for me, I don't really read those TOS because most of them are the same and we already know what's that for so I skipped it every time.
Not only on gambling sites but most of the Terms of Agreement I skipped all of them even when I want to play online games. Nevertheless, we don't really need to read those because we don't really transgress with their rules. Most of the time people skipped and don't wanna read it but there are some people who read them all in case they can find something usual on the terms.

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?
In our time now?it is a NO because they are all the same but way back when i am starting to gamble online?surely i am reading all TOS of each gambling sites.

But now that i am only playing in my trusted sites so there is no need to do such IMO.

It might be risky that way but I have a trick though, I only read the reviews of each players to know what should be avoided or watch. Well, in my experience I don't read most of the ToS in every gambling sites that I played since I'm only playing to enjoy not to really make some money. wow! I'm surprise with the poll result, I needed to vote to view it but I'm really surprise, as of now, 23 members says NO, while only 22 says yes.
The race is getting exciting, lol.. I don't know a lot of people also not reading the TOS.
Quite honestly I am surprised of the opposite, it seems a great deal of the gamblers here do actually read the TOS, while the No option on the poll is winning so far it is doing so by a small margin, if you were to ask me I would have said that something between 80% to 90% of the gamblers did not read the TOS and I am pretty sure this will hold true if we were to hold that poll and gave it to a random population of bitcoin gamblers, but it seems that in this forum we have a higher percentage of responsible gamblers and I am glad that is the case.

For a well known or reputable site then you'll just surely need the summation of feedbacks on whats its cons and pros towards into its players. You can see out about
country restriction or some kyc and towards their payment methods and status, with that alone then you can already pinpoint if this gambling site will surely
fit out your needs or not. This is also my behavior towards my gambling activity where you can really find out by having only those basic information which
will already be sufficient if you would tend to proceed or not.

Same here I skip playing on website platforms and once they are established and have a good reputation going on then I can play there. It is more a case of "why should I risk" with new casinos because even if the TOS are transparent and good still the casino can cheat you.

Seeing the poll right now seems that 16 out of 34 users are not reading the Terms of Service of a gambling site which is I think is dangerous for them since you didn't know which agreement you accepted since I know that once you created an account you already accepted their terms and conditions maybe including asking for a KYC.
The truth is the poll might be even more one sided towards the NO if people are being honest because really who would read the long Terms & Conditions set by the gambling house? I personally don't read them all but I do visit it once to find if any anomaly exists and if there are ID proofs needed by the house to make my withdrawals.

It depends on how long does the gambling site has been operating and if there was any unsolved issues or on going issues on their site then yes I would read all about their TOS.
But if they have a good reputation and they has been on the industry for so long then I would only look if my country is ban on their site or not then skip or accept it all.

anyway thats my opinion and if you wanna read all TOS then do it no one is stopping you from doing that.

Yeah that is important specially for those consistent in gambling that wanted to get the jackpot or beat the casino houses.

To join any gambling website, it is mandatory to read the TOS. If you do not read the TOS then you will get into trouble later. I once deposited a few dollars on an online gambling site without a TOS and later when I went to withdraw, I saw that they wanted KYC. If you want to avoid such unpleasant incidents, you must read the TOS before joining.

You have another option to avoid that experience by not joining the new gambling site, and you can stick to your old gambling website, and you don't have to worry about that any matter. If you are curious about the new gambling site, you need to read the TOS and make sure you understand and know their rule to prevent the bad thing that can happen in the future.

We can join the gambling site, which doesn't require KYC, and I think we can found that many gambling websites here, so you don't have to try the new sites. That will be safe for you to playing gambling, and if somehow, you win the games and get the money, you can withdraw it anytime.

We can certainly do that with ease, I'm playing with 5 or more gambling sites and never required to comply with the KYC requirement, that's the nature here, if they require a KYC from customers, then they are in the wrong place, crypto gambling suppose to be anonymous.

Does someone here (preferably nitrogen officials) want to explain to me this new god awful rollover requirement?
If you deposit 0.01 BTC, bet for 0.01BTC and then win you are not allowed to withdraw because there is a rollover on the entire deposit (even though you bet the entire deposit).
Am I missing something here or are these new rules just botched?
The 1x rollover rule, to clarify, players need to completely rollover the deposited amount before being able to withdraw. If player deposits $100 and bets it all, winning $50, the player still needs to play the $50 before being able to withdraw.
~
Sometimes applying rollover rules on bonus money is acceptable, if the bonus amount is too large. But really, I can't understand the reason for applying rollover rules over my "deposited money and winning odds money"! ??? You are not supposed to have any right over the money I have deposited. I strongly condemn this rule, You should highlight such kind of nonsense rules on your front page.

Look at the highlighted text, They did not highlight the rule of rollover on their gambling website, nor did they mention any such rule on the signup page. You can learn about these rules only on TOS of their website. So, what did you find out about? without understanding TOS properly you should not take such a risk on your money. If you want to avoid such kind of unpleasant incidents then not only online gambling sites but also offline casinos you need to know about the terms and conditions of the wagering.

Honestly, no. But I am aware that reading terms of service of a gambling site is a must. Not particularly in a gambling site but also to others like installing applications, applying for a membership, etc. It serves as a contract between you and the site that's why you should check it by yourself. In terms of service of a gambling site, they will discuss all the rules and benefits that the user may access if he agree to the conditions. Reading this thread makes me more aware of checking every lines of TOS even if it is too long for me to read because ofcourse we will not know if we are being deceived if we are not going to read these terms.

I agree.

Reading the TOS will save you from any headaches that you might encounter if you decided not to read it thinking all of the gambling sites have the same TOS or maybe you're just too lazy to read it. Since we're talking about TOS in gambling, I bet the reason why the majority voted for NO is because they doesn't care cause they never win in gambling in the first place in which they need to withdraw their funds.

The other reason might be because other's think that there's no point on reading it so early, read it when you are already facing a problem and that's more reasonable.

Honestly, I don't read all of the parts of the TOS. But I do read but only those important parts which I've seen where others have caught a problem. To avoid the same experience and problem, I always go through the TOS with the specific rule like in KYC, deposits and withdrawals.
Others are about the agreement you have with the casino. As for my experiences, I've never had problems with any of them but still read those important sections for me of the TOS.

Terms and Services of most casinos are long as a book and they are not entirely for users to read. Most of those terms are also for themselves to be safe from some authorities and on compliance with their license provider. There are some specific lines that are intended to the users as well. I know it's better to read terms and conditions of a gambling site but I generally join a site after a wide range of people do recommend it. I learn most things about it from others or hand on experience. Reading terms and services is like reading all the paperwork on an electronic paper. Not everything of it makes sense for the users.

I only read a portion of it because it's honestly too long most of the time. Sometimes, when I get too excited with the site, I only check the I agree box so I could explore and discover more about the site as soon as I can. However, I know that it's still important to know their terms of agreement. Maybe that's also one of the reasons why we're sometimes struggling with the withdrawal and in processing our funds.

I honestly don’t read them as well as I should. When it comes to terms of service these days, I think I’ve got at least 50 different apps on my phone and god only knows how many others things in my life that’s included some sort of TOS agreement. I’ve read the basic terms but sometimes not enough as I should.

No casinos would give their customers a hard time, all they want is to attract gamblers so their site will be profitable, however if we are talking about regulatory compliance, it cannot be discounted as anyone business who found violating it might lose a lot of money because of penalty and worst if the business operation will be halted.

Mostly never. People are using to many apps today and they don't have time to read every TOS. I'm not talking just about gambling. I personally use more than 20 apps on my phone. And betting sites have mostly similar TOs so I just assume everything will be fine and just click accept.

Adding to it, most of the times Terms of Service are long and use quite complicated language.
Some TOS takes more than 20 minutes to read.

usually the Lindy effect and honest user reviews are better to knowing if you can trust the online casino, since they could disrespect their own TOS if it's a shady website.

It seems simple to simply answer "yes", but in reality everyone who says "no" is because he or she makes the mistake that I once made, not reading the TOS, one should always read the TOS even though you can assume that they always say the same thing.

Although reading them may be something you should do when you are going to put money in a casino, I assure you that it avoids having bad times and long periods of time waiting for support to answer a ticket. ( the answer that you can get in the ToS)

I am going to mention three things that you can assume "Yes"/"Not" are in TOS and can bring you problems:
  • Depositing on a site and believing that you can withdraw your money without playing.
  • Deposit amounts to complete withdrawal amounts, e.g. Minimum withdrawal $ 50, you have $ 25 of balance in the casino, deposit $ 25 + to fulfill the withdrawal conditions.
  • Trying to withdraw profits without having made a deposit.

The list is long, it is shorter to read the ToS, even if they are not literally so.

G.B.

True. Its all just legal issues there in the TOS. Obviously if you have no plans to do stupid things in the casino you're just fine.  I have registered to facebook without reading its TOS, I only come back to its TOS page when I learned something from someone online about the changes they made on their privacy issues and TOS.

Unless you have submitted KYC documents to the casino, you really have to go back and read the TOS again. But that would be too late as they already have your data.   ;D

That's exactly what they are doing, moreover most of the time casinos and exchanges don't even respect them when it benefits the user, they only respect them when it benefits them against him   :-\

So you no need to read ToS if you're not afraid about information you provide to them,

It's better to be gambling blindly knowing the TOS of the site, because you don't feel guilty at all since you won't know if you have violated the TOS.

maybe most(maybe all) of the people who voted yes are just reading bits and pieces that they deemed important in the entire ToS(like I do but I voted no) since there may be times that a gambling site is putting a sneaky rule that overwhelmingly unfavored to the gambler. it's not that the current ToS of most gambling sites are already unfavourable towards gamblers but it would be better to at least know something.

I always assumed they are just telling you some common-sense shit.

I just skim through the text to find if there's anything that should not be there. I'm more fascinated by the different approach each gambling site takes to present their terms and conditions. I mostly start with obliging to common terms. Even if I'm allowed VPN and multiple accounts, I have no reasons to use them. There are ofcourse some gambling sites that troubles the users with unnecessary KYC. Though KYC is in terms of almost all gambling site, good ones would never ask one unless absolutely necessary.

That's great you are still reading the TOS of the casinos. In the beginning when I started gambling I was very eager to do the same. But similar like you I found the wording of the TOS really hard to read, this lawyer language on such long form is really hard to understand sometimes. Just reading some paragraphs once wasn't enough and I had to read them multiple times. In the end I just capitulated to the length of these agreements. I know my risk is much higher when only relying on reviews from other people, but so far I was lucky and didn't lose money in a bad casino.

I can feel you man, mostly used are legal words as TOS is a legal matters where they can use against us gamblers if we violate it, but we unfortunately we can't use that TOS against them as anytime they can change that TOS in their favor.

I really wonder if those who answered "YES" to your question are really telling the truth... I have never read any ToS of anything. Not casinos, not games, not apps. Never.

I always assumed they are just telling you some common-sense shit.
That's exactly what they are doing, moreover most of the time casinos and exchanges don't even respect them when it benefits the user, they only respect them when it benefits them against him   :-\

This ToS stuff becomes important especially when the players win big money. Till then, nobody really cares where you are from or if you are surebetting etc... When you win $10k, boom, suddenly they start to ask questions.

I voted "NO" because this could be an honest answer. Will everyone does reading it? 1-2%, maybe.

TOS isn't necessary for me, what I consider most when choosing a site is to find its legality, no KYC, and user-friendly. Just to be honest, and I know that most gamblers never waste their time reading on its long and number of pages for their TOS. Even if we read it, I don't know if it clearly catches it all.

Sorry but what made it hard for you to understand the TOS of each gambling site you enters?they seems to have almost the same( not totally but almost) so i believe that reading and understanding one will give you idea in the next one.

Mate never forget that TOS is more important since in this you may get banned because of not reading and the sad part is what if you win big and you violated their TOS?

but since I am an affiliate marketer, I only read the ToS for the affiliate program.
I don't care much about the ToS for their main service because I only bet a small amount of money.

I just skim through the text to find if there's anything that should not be there. I'm more fascinated by the different approach each gambling site takes to present their terms and conditions.

That's also good if you really going to stay long or used decent bankroll while playing inside the

casino house, finding something which annoyed you from the TOS will surely save you time trying
to fit up your gambling activities.

Quote
I mostly start with obliging to common terms. Even if I'm allowed VPN and multiple accounts, I have no reasons to use them.

Better not, it's not your concern once something bad happened and there's no way for you solve

it by yourself instead you needed to communicate with the help desk just to fixed this concern.

Quote
There are of course some gambling sites that troubles the users with unnecessary KYC. Though KYC is in terms of almost all gambling site, good ones would never ask one unless absolutely necessary.

The chance of asking for this info always possible even you are using the most trusted gambling house,

once they ask for it, you can't do nothing but to comply in order to resolve the problem.

For people like you that do only focus out with affiliating then it wont really be that an issue on checking out ToS since this isnt the main area of your concern but for most
people then reading up ToS is always recommendable because there are rules which would really give out some headaches later on when you do missed out something
but most of the time there arent really that too much issue when we do play out directly without the need on reading it up directly and just simply
stick with good gambling sites then you can presume out that you are in the right place.

It is so important to read the terms of service and I do it every single time. It can mean the difference between getting paid your winnings or missing it due to some silly technicality. So many gambling sites out there have enticing looking offers like "$100 in free bingo tickets" but you are expected to gamble any winnings 5x before they will let you cash out any money. By that point you are left with a couple dollars if you're lucky, but chances are the money and your time have been wasted. You have to remember that gambling companies are not charities, but profit making and want to hold on to any deposited money.

Most services like to interpret the rules in an arbitrary way in their favor and it is better to know about this before any problem occurs.

Well, I don't it is a need or a must to read it all because for me, what I focus on is reading their feedbacks, site reviews, and the legitimacy of the site. I am sure that someone will check everything and read the whole TOS of the site before they are playing gambling or deposit. But not many people will read the whole TOS. Most people will read reviews from other people. They will try to play gambling for small money or use the faucet to test the site or ask for a welcome bonus. the poll shows that a lot of gamblers are really not reading the ToS. so not surprised if there are gamblers complaining about their funds being frozen coz of violating the ToS of the site. if you are a responsible gambler, and care for your funds, before depositing to the casino, you should at least browse the sections that pertain to you or those important items that you know will affect your withdrawal activities. on my end, i read the ToS of the site, so i know what im getting into. though not all of them but at least the related sections as a player of the site

But with lots of cases about gambling sites closing account, it's now become my habit to check TOS especially on the part of the restricted regions. Much especially if the involved site is a new gambling site.

I'm more of the reading the FAQ section. I won't skip reading that part as always.

Yeah, we have to check the TOS to know the terms and conditions about which areas are prohibited. Many people are now discussing this because some of these rules are always the same or incomplete, we often encounter on newly launched sites, but we still have to know the rules that occur there. regulations on the terms of your country and region.

This factor is not that important but we still need to know all about the sites we come across for gambling.

There were some scam accusation threads against some casinos where the problem was that users didn't read their TOS and then were complaining around certain things but at the same time it happened like TOS of these casinos were shit and illogical (once accident was back in 2017 but can't remember the name of the casino).
I wasn't reading TOS and once I started to read, analyzed that there were some things that I wasn't accepting but at the same time it's a problem when you crave to use certain service and you don't care about TOS, just click on next to register.
But it's necessary, very necessary to get rid of unwanted problems.

I usually will just go by what kind of reputation a casino has, but it is very important to read TOS. There have been many cases where people were surprised to be asked to do KYC when they tried to withdraw a large amount and other instances where people were prevented from immediately cashing out. I want to avoid this type of hassle so I will usually glance over their terms to see if there is any unreasonable requirements.

I know you already know the drill as a casual gambler for a long-time. I hope there will be no problem that will come on your way using those trusted sites you are referring to about violating their TOS. Firstly, it is a lot of work to go through all the terms and conditions completely. You could filter by keywords.
It is important to be aware of the conditions, so that you are not faced with surprises. The problem is often that conditions can be quite complex and that the user is okay with it.
He then relies on the fairness and reputation of the casino. General terms and conditions can often be used against the customer.

without reading their TOS, I might accidentally violate one of their rules and this might cause me trouble which I do not really want to. It actually take only a few minutes to read so I better read it than being sorry in the end.

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?

This may be embarrassing but I usually just scroll and check whatever TOS appears on the screen. I remember when I used to gamble my online skins from a game, I just trade and gamble without even considering the mandates of the TOS. There was a time that I asked myself on why the commission of this website was absurdly high, only to realize that everything was stated on their TOS.

From there, I learned my lesson to read the TOS of a gambling site especially if I were to continue gambling again.

Yes, reading TOS is important to know their terms and conditions,

without reading their TOS, I might accidentally violate one of their rules and this might cause me trouble which I do not really want to. It actually take only a few minutes to read so I better read it than being sorry in the end.

I remember that I had a friend who lost around $1000 worth of BTC due to the TOS of the gambling website. He was not able to withdraw and get the funds due to some conflict. But that is true, it is essential to read and understand the TOS of the gambling website.

Same here bruh. I don't gamble much but I try sometimes just for the sake of experience and whenever I feel like it. And when it comes to TOS, I don't have the patience to read it. The irony is that most TOSs have a warning that they can be changed unilaterally without direct notification to the user (usually a link is provided to where the current TOSs are located and where changes will be made). That is, the user must check this link every day to keep up to date. On the one hand, it is easy, on the other hand, if you use 20 different services, then it becomes a little real.

I don't know what it is about TOS that most of us tends to ignore the details. Even when we know the importance of this TOS as it could be used in setting a trap or creating a loophole that would be offensive to customers and defensive to the platforms and yet, we really don't care to read, I don't care to read. It often becomes an andrenalin thing when it pops up, it becomes a matter of just accept and let it slide so you can access and do that which needs done.
Just yesterday I experienced a high charge upon running a transaction with my Electrum wallet and felt really sad but then, it's sure to be contained in their TOS if I were to make any trouble.

To some extent it feels cruel that TOS works in this format as, it's always a matter of you agreeing to the terms or not using the service! Tapped!

Companies can put what they want in the conditions. They are obliged to comply with the legislation, so not everything is binding by definition. I do agree that it is much more important what a casino's reputation is like.
Of course it starts with a legal license as step 1.

I don't have enough patience to read the terms of service completely and it applies to the gambling site as well but I am nit going to simply click the I agree button either, I will take a look at it and try to read few things and if it is okay then I will okay with it.

Haha, we are pretty similar, TOS are look and it's not easy to understand, better not read it and just rely on the feedback about the site, problem is solve and we can start gambling anytime, besides, a site with good reputation are likely to have a good TOS.
Our assumptions about their ToS are the reason why often we see people blame the gambling sites when theirselves violated their terms. I won't say skipping the reading of ToS if good practice but we need to clear the things if whatever questions arise regarding their terms which occurs when we are about to go through that situation.

There are many times when casinos themselves go against their own terms and conditions. Reasons can be their own profits. And that's why reading the terms and conditions are required. Even for popular casinos. I have seen some casinos say "we don't accept players from x countries" and then using vpn a player plays and registers. The casino detects when they win and stop letting them withdraw if they win big! But these are the shady ones mostly.

If we don't read the TOS, we would not know if there's a changes on it, like they added or omit on the original.
I agree with you that most of us does not read TOS, we just want to do things automatic so we are looking to gamble instead of reading TOS.
I'm sure if we can spend a little time reading the TOS we will gain more knowledge about the rule that apply to the site. But so far I very rarely spend much of my time reading TOS as long as the site doesn't restrict me from playing there nor does it ask for KYC and I think this is enough.

We will probably have a hard time once we will be at this stage, let's just hope there will be no problem.
When we have agreed at the beginning, then we also have to be responsible if something happens in the future. And yes, hopefully no problem.

Honest answer No,
I only intend to read some parts but if the TOS is long then I would just skip it and agree.
But if they would request a KYC then it would depend on the site if I would read it or not.

And how do you act if passing the KYC is a prerequisite in order to use the site? I see some kind of contradiction in your desires - as far as I know, if there is a license, then the KYC is required. All licensing governments try to know as much as possible about the service and its users.

It means to me that reading their terms of service is meaningless.

I agree with that, they'll only use the TOS if they have a bad plan against you, not all casinos but some casinos with shady reputation. Reaming the TOS might make your aware, however, if that is not fully implemented by the site fairly, then that's meaningless as you say it.

Sometimes, the gambling site with reputations will ask to do KYC for their members, especially for members who win much money or deposit too big money just for playing gambling. They don't want to see their members related to the illegal, so they need to make sure of that. Maybe we need to read their TOS to see if we can accept their rules before we get something that can break the rules.

It depends on the casino or gambling site if it is proven as a reputable gambling site I don't think I should read it well I'm a little bit lazy about that thing since I don't like reading too much for me they are mostly like the same in my opinion.

Some of the users are concerned of the terms which are under the TOS of the gambling sites such as area restriction, implication of KYC in withdrawals and more which makes sense. A gambling site could put something under the TOS with expectations of its players to not read the content, which can be used against them as a possibility. Reputable gambling sites I think are no exceptions because they may still make an exit scam perhaps, if they would like to. So in my opinion, it would be better to do so. Nothing will be lost if you will just read the TOS just to be assured of the things you are engaging yourself with.

I think it's important to read terms of service since this is the gambling site's condition on what might happen to you and your account while using the website

Also it is the agreement between you and the gambling site so it is really necessary to read those before using the gambling site

Depending on the game I wanted to play. LOL, Usually I read the TOS especially if I had the feeling that I will going to stay and use the platform for a long use. But to those gambling site that will not catch my attention then I will go directly to what part of the platform that could interest me and then leave. Yet, there are many gambling platforms are actually good especially with the interface and the feature gamea with casino and sports betting. All in one actually and I had one kept on visiting everytime I wanted to play or bet in casino or sports/esports event.

TOS of any gambling site should be read. Anybody who wishes to use the gambling site should have first read and understood the TOS. But this is going to be a tedious task. TOS are most probably skipped by many users because they don't care about it and because reading a very long TOS is not a fun thing to do.

It's good that somebody like you is treating TOS-reading as a must thing before using a gambling site.

I thought of one exception to my never read the tos answer.

There has been a time and it might make the ops point.

I won £400 in thee free spins, ad I couldnt seem to withdraw it however much I bet of it.

There were some silly terms like you have to bet it 50x or something silly.

Pfffffft

It is common for casinos to require such things. That is why they are often given away for free, because you cannot have them paid out just like that. I think 50 is on the high side.
They could also just do 25. Much more attractive and fairer. Players should be given a great opportunity to cash in on their bonus.

The feeling of getting bored on reading up long text then im surely do have the same feeling with that which people would most likely ignore these FAQ's and would just proceed without
knowing that they can be possibly blocked or what.

If they do saw that there are lots of people playing then they do already presume out that it is safe to play into the platform.Well, I cant really blame them since I do have the same
mindset and perception anytime I do seek for a gambling site to play.

Overall,  reading up everything will really be not a bad habit to be done yet you would know everything and you might able to avoid problems in the future.

I swear, so boring to read and the worst part of it all is that, so long as it's a needed services, your sure to proceed so, why read at all? But then, it's one important document that one should have paid attention to, just like the disclaimer as it serves both informative purpose for users and also a backup for the company incase a services goes side ways and lives the complainant handicapped.
Again, the terms in the TOS are often harmful and so, it gets easier to just skip to the point of using the service you tend to subscribe for. No time to bit around.

Yeah, that makes you think of not signing up in site if you care to read enough the TOS.

If you don't agree, you don't play, so it's not fit to us since we are gamblers and we love to play, that's the reason most of us skip the TOS.

Besides, not everyone or majority of the gamblers faces problems when they are gambling, we can only see few who are complaining actually and most of them involves big amount in gambling which most of us not doing since we are just an average gambler.

Not only that, you should also get to know whether they are legally operating or not, where they're based, etc. To make sure you cannot go wrong with the site, you should also read their user reviews as well as site overall review by trusted gambling rating and review sites. For Term of Service ( TOS ) in gambling site only check need KYC or not when betting soccer or casino, I dislike have betting site need for KYC when withdraw or deposit because I will never give my document for gambling site. Other rule like payment fee for withdraw is not my destination because many gambling site have lower fees for withdrawing transaction. Just ask at the forum about how long withdraw and deposit process in some gambling site, which one have faster for transaction and I will join with this site gambling, other require I check with how many game support playing in gambling site because I like with gambling site have multi playing kinds.

In most cases where new sites aren't really necessary to be legal or regulated yet everything would just pop out from somewhere and later on they do make focus on licensing etc.

Its just common sense for us to verify everything so that we would really make ourselves avoid on possible loss of funds due to scams or unfairness of the site.

We are in the same field. What I prioritize in reading TOS is about KYC and supported countries.

KYC is now common on new gambling sites but that will just be required for certain big winnings.

For supported and prohibited countries, users should be aware of this to avoid future problems. But sometimes, the site itself is the problem since in the first place, they shouldn't allow registration of users from prohibited countries. Then if those users use a VPN, have them penalized.

KYC is always present in a site I guess, however, not all the time they'll require you a KYC. Maybe they are following some rules like Binance have , because in Binance you can trade as long as you don't exceed their limit, but just in a separate scenario because trading is mostly not illegal while gambling is illegal in some countries.

Reading TOS is better because maybe you can see that their other terms that you did not want so you can avoid registering or playing because in the end you are get problems if you do against to their terms that you accept without reading.

It is present and will only ask you if obligatory but if the casino you gamble isn't requiring kyc, that's way better. I think there were other members who have explained the kyc portion made by a casino if time permits.
They do it if the situation entails doubts or trouble seen by them.

Most of the time, gamblers aren't really reading the TOS of the gambling site. Almost everything online, a lot of users are just ignoring these terms the same way on how they treated agreements, for example, if they are downloading software online, they just click accept and continue then that's it. With that mindset, we not knowingly applied it even in gambling where I think we should really read the TOS to avoid conflict as we talk about money here. What mostly happens is that when we encounter a problem, that is the only time we read the TOS so it's late for us to win or dispute the house as it is our mistake in the first place not to read the TOS.

Sometimes it saves self from hassles free if TOS is be read before engagement. Although, IMO, any gambling platform with good reviews and longtime reputation; am ready to go without TOS. For KYC, most reputable gambling platforms always place alert on huge deposit or winning just to keep their reputation.

What? No they aren't because the TOS is design for better understanding of the platform that you have to agree on it by clicking the checkbox of agree terms and conditions of the platform. It must be read so that one will not be misguided or violates the rules and regulations of the platform. This we do not want to happen right unless we d not like the platform and will not read to it instead we tend directly exploring the platform of its offer.

Yeah, most definitely because we want to save time and besides, we would just play anymore.

However, downloading a software and playing in a gambling site is quite different as in gambling, you could lose a lot of money if you fail to read the TOS and you got affected with it, so it's important that you read if you are betting big money so you'll not regret in the end.

Most of the gamblers are not really putting huge bet, so it's not really big if they lost against the TOS, and it's not a problem for most of the gamblers anyway.

Most gamblers look for keywords in the ToS. Especially on Limits and KYC, those are elementary things. A lot of things it says are not really relevant. But they should probably just be there.
There are also gamblers who do not value the ToS at all, too much material to go through everything properly. Or maybe read the introduction a little superficially. Not every bookmaker has an index, by the way.

And those gamblers that failed to at least browse the important things in ToS will usually end up complaining to the site about not getting their funds or can't withdraw. Came to find out, they need to submit KYC docs before withdrawal. That is, for some casinos that do require KYC. So for me, it is really important to read at least those important sections that pertain to you as a player. You need to be responsible so you will not end up crying about the possibility of losing your funds.

The lawyers are hired for preparing the decent TOS with considering the conditions of the casino included providers, payment methods, country restrictions, etc. In fiat accepted online casinos, some websites accept the Skrill deposits but only users from specific countries are eligible to make a withdrawal request with Skrill. When the gambler accepts his fault for not reading the TOS, the casinos usually convince them using a bank account for wire transfer. Just simply using keywords can prevent this situation and gambler shouldn't fall into the taxes-comission trap by government-banks.

I think you're a little bit naive to think this way. Even if you read them carefully it will not prevent them from changing them the next day. Moreover they mostly don't respect their own ToS

It is really important to read the TOS of the gambling site you are going to play, that's why a lot of user was agreeing to contract with the gambling site without them knowing. You should really read the TOS particularly with the new gambling site since they are the ones who really need to be reviewed for your own safety.

If you are skeptical about those casinos who love changing the ToS time to time , you can always screenshot and save them to reveal later in case they do change it and start accusing what is wrong with them doing that thing.
Sometimes updated ToS needed but mostly indeed they do edit as they wish illegally.
The most simple to do with this ToS stuff is by searching the rules that you care so much and read it thoroughly, simple as it.

To be honest, I am not reading any TOS or disclaimer in any site that I am accessing, I will only check its security, I need to be sure that it is having a good security feature and it will not run after some months or years. I will also check if KYC is needed in this site, I don't want to send a KYC, it could be hassle for me, most importantly I will look for some review of other player, research before playing that is the good thing to do.
Well, if it's boring to read the TOS, there are shortcuts that others likely doing it too. Searching for keywords like KYC for that one worry that we have.
KYC is an inconvenience when we're gambling and it is the reason why some gamblers caught by surprise that they have to do it because they haven't seen or read the TOS.

It's much easier to read FAQ than TOS and most people choose to do that.

The only problem with choosing to read FAQ is that it's not legally compelling. They could write something else in TOS than in FAQ and confuse or cheat users so by doing it you're taking a risk but it's much smaller than simply accepting TOS without reading anything.

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?
To be honest, I don't read the TOS of a gambling site. I mostly skip it because it is a boring one to read for me. But I read when I go for the withdrawal process. The maximum time I read it for ensuring the site is needed to go through a KYC process or not.

Avoiding to have a big problem when withdrawing your funds, this matters with every gamblers.

Though lots of gimbling site state that they are not implementing KYC but the catch most of the time is they are requiring it in case to case basis, even you read it clearly there are times that sites requires you to provide this info, either you are trying to cash out big amounts or your account are being tagged for whatever reasons, still important to clear it out to make sure that you won't have any issues while enjoying your stay.

This is what needs to be avoided when the problem occurs to us someday, gambling sites rarely apply KYC in withdrawals because they really like to be anonymous without having to know our identity, therefore reading TOS is very important because every rule is all there so you need to read and do not abuse it.

With such a large amount of funds I think there is a limit in the amount but I think it is rare that people keep such large assets on gambling platforms.

I agreed, FAQs are more easy and direct to the point, most of the time when the user encounters some unusual thing with the site, they will rush to FAQs. there are also some people who wanted to go straight there by reading everything so that they can understand how the site works. Sometimes, if they read something strange there, they won't gonna deposit any BTC to the site and leave immediately.

No problem if you don't read the TOS of a gambling site, but you should read about that, especially in the withdrawal section so you can know what it needs to withdraw your win money. If you read the TOS after winning, I am afraid that you might feel disappointed if the gambling site needs you to verify yourself before continuing the withdrawal process. The thing that you need to know is the gambling site will not apply KYC, and for withdrawal, they don't use KYC too if we only want to withdraw a little win money. If you can have the gambling site that is not applied KYC and that site has reputations, you will not get any withdrawal problem.

Never read TOS the terms of service in gambling at all, even directly deposit without first checking the conditions for withdrawal, betting or others. In my opinion, the terms and conditions on gambling sites are not much different from cryptocurrency or exchange markets and almost all of them we get a risk warning. Most read the requirements when there are problems, for example withdrawing or new deposit, checking again why the WD deposit is being processed for a while. For others who are accustomed to how risk in trading in gambling also has the same thing. Maybe for newcomers, they must read the TOS or Term Of Service when they lose, they already know the risks they face.

It means that you do not really care about your own money. Make a deposit directly without reading anything may lead you into a big problem. Indeed most ToS looks the same among gambling sites but there can be something different that may give you an issue if you do not realize it. Simple thing such as about multi account, using VPN, KYC, country restriction can be something bad if you do not read it before making deposit. The risks is  not only on the gambling process, but there can be a risk where you violate a rule that you did not know.

Yes, you are right. I have seen the withdrawal process can be required boldly when you win a big match like Jackpot or something like that which has value to everyone , the value is nearly $100k or more which I have seen in many gambling sites that can slightly be changed due to their TOS.

I have already said I read TOS when I am going to withdraw my funds from the gambling sites which I have not meet before. Normally I have not that enough funds like $100k to withdraw. So normally maximum sites don't required KYC for me for such low amounts. :D

Same here, I don't know how much is big for the site but I'm sure my withdrawals does not qualify to that big amount which requires KYC. I was just referring to the amount of $100k which everyone should be aware of the TOS when gambling with that figure since for sure no site would just allow you to gamble that amount without KYC, they are also protecting their business from getting penalize by the regulators.

When we do talk about jackpot then its a big amount then whose fool wouldn't really comply those KYC and would just simply miss out that money?

Of course we wont really make out some hesitation to do so..In talks of TOS then its a must thing but majority is been neglecting this.

Gamblers would just say OOOOHH! when the house do talk or mention their violations that its stated on the terms.  :D

So what if you broke their TOS when playing since you have not read those?and you will only read when you need to withdraw and they will not allow you.
Simply, I deposit my funds to website then I go for Dice, Esports, Live casino or which I feel comfort in the time of gameplay. Some sites wants KYC process when the participants want to withdraw their funds. I know few sites whom want to a minimum deposit funds if not required to withdraw when it is very low. Otherwise, I don't think any TOS can be broken for doing these things.

You don't get the point mate,i am asking if ever that you won Big amount and the site TOS are violated by you since you did not read before betting.

and then they will surely block or freeze your account, and in the end because of laziness in reading TOS the supposed to be winning will gone and wont never come to your pocket.

No question about that I guess and no one whole be a martyr and disregard KYC.

Huge amount of money from the jackpot, whatever it takes anyone will proceed and do things that the casino will require them, it's all about the money and no one would want to miss that out and lose the opportunities to enjoy those winnings.
Even you are against to it but incase you got that opportunities, pride or anything around you will be forgotten for sure.

Yes you got a point. This change my mind, in every website I think we should read the TOS, for us not to get troubled in the future. There will be some rules that we don't know, especially in the withdrawal of earnings I think, I remember in binance as well there is a certain amount, I think if you want to withdraw 1btc you need kyc, just like in gambling site, we all know that the reward in here is very huge so kyc is needed in some casinos if you win the jackpot prize.

I think you can withdraw up to 2 btc in Binance for a non KYC account. Don't know if there's been changes already but that's what I know being a user of Binance, anyway my account is already KYC registered so I don't have to worry about that.

However, gambling site is really different, they promote anonymous gambling unlike exchange where they are so transparent and will always follow their regulators. If KYC is not a problem to you, might as well have KYC in every site you are playing, so you'll not worry of anything, but of course read the TOS as well.

If KYC is not a problem to you, might as well have KYC in every site you are playing, so you'll not worry of anything, but of course read the TOS as well.
Yes, I have Binance account and it's verified by submitting National ID card. I can submit my NID to gambling website not its irritating and boring one for me that's why I choose to do it while withdrawing my money from websites. Not willingly want such things to do.

I voted YES.
I always read the terms of use on exchanges and gambling sites, as well as other platforms where I make or receive money. I began to do this after one exchange blocked my funds for a month and asked to provide documents about their origin. I lost a lot of time and nerve to get that money back. In the rules of the exchange it was written that they are entitled to it, so the law was on their side. After this case, I started reading the terms of use wherever I register my account.

People wont really make any changes if they haven't experienced unfortunate events but there are still people who do continue to have this kind of
behavior on where not reading up ToS neither on a gambling site/exchange or other platforms that have their own set of rules and terms.
Its always better to read it up so that you would really be fully aware and would able to avoid problems later on.Its better to be aware than to be blind
and end up regretting when they had already confiscate your funds.

There are times that there questionable action of the platform that leads to accounts frozen or funds on hold.

In that matter, it's good if we can consider archiving the terms as they can't just say they are allowed to modify it anytime. Should only be applied at those sites wherein we decided to play.

Not necessary for a site that we are now used to play on.

For the common casinos we play, we don't seem to care at it at all because we're confident playing with them and their terms are also common as the others.
But for the newer casinos that we're about to play, it's important to look at their terms first before depositing. Agree with @Mahanton, that's awareness but others are neglecting it.

Some new casinos have new rules when it comes to kyc and withdrawals (especially in wagering requirements). But yes, for old casinos that we used to visit, we already know their terms per se. Because more than likely, you already did several withdrawals without a problem, so you know, you will not encounter any issue the next time. But if you will spend significant amount, still worth reading the ToS of the site before regretting in the end.

I think gambling places don't have to do KYC, there are some gambling places that keep their players anonymous so the owners of the gambling places don't know who it is, and it's better that way because they maintain their privacy, while for other ToS I think almost all gambling places are the same , to be honest I sometimes don't read it first, I prefer to have fun at the gambling place without paying attention to the existing ToS.

Our forum exists so that all of us could tell our story, and other people could read it and learn from others' experiences. I hope my story will help other people understand that they must read the ToS of any site where they register and contribute their money. I managed to get my money back and I remembered this lesson forever.

I don't know what is big deal for people reading Both TOS and FAQ?it wont take an hour to check and understand them both and besides those for our own safeties in dealing with that specific company.
Most people on the Internet does not have a good attention span and TOS and FAQ's are designed in a way that it is difficult to last in reading it.

So what if you broke their TOS when playing since you have not read those? and you will only read when you need to withdraw and they will not allow you.
Again not their fault because people are different and to be honest it is a waste of time if you try to make a meaning out of all the T's and C's in the TOS. If the site is a good one then you do not have a problem with them to the point that you need to read the TOS.

If the gambling places don't do KYC, I am sure many crypto gamblers will visit their site, and they will be regular members who are always playing gambling on those places. For the crypto gamblers, a gambling website that is not applied KYC will be meaningful because they protect their identity and prefer to become anonymous.

We may not read the ToS for the gambling website that we are regularly visiting because we know that they use KYC or not. We don't have any problem to deposit or withdraw the money, whether that is winning money or deposit money.

And due to not reading the TOS before playing si in the Mid of gaming they commit breaking the TOS even without having idea of what it is.

Exactly the best way dealing with gambling sites,Even if you are lazy to read their TOS but at least try to Have a copy so in any case you know where you standing.
Not necessary for a site that we are now used to play on.
Well but at least Visit the TOS even once in a blue moon as they may have change some for upgrade or related.

They can be alerted if you ever do withdrawals or deposits that are huge which you don't usually do. But if they are firm with their rules that they wouldn't ask for KYC as long as you're not hitting the limit, they are honest and true to their TOS.
If there's a statement that they can change their rules anytime without further notice, you know what to do then if they want you to complete kyc.

Good advise, sometimes because of my daily schedules i don't care about the gambling TOS as much but something bad happened when i get into a new casino without read their TOS early this new, this action of mine put my winnings out without any remedy. Except those gambling platforms we already been playing; should be seen as TOS not useful for read but not new casinos in this case.

Even if the Gambling website has earned already a reputation I really think it's still important to know their terms and conditions so you would know how you would act on their website and you know the do's and don'ts.

Most people don’t really care about terms and services, they might only read the terms when they encounter serious problems with their money stuck in online casinos. It will be very rare to read specially that users only care about their experience and winnings.

they thought that they are experienced gamblers and they think all sites are the same but that thoughts can be false most of the time .

They only care about wins by they don't know that those wins can be useless if the money are going to be confiscated because of a small minor mistake ,that won't supposed to happen if they only take time to read the tos right at the start .

The sickness of the people is to regret at the end but that cant be too late if the site that they are playing is a good person because they can give them another chance .

True!

Most of the times people do just simply ignore this even if it do pops out when you do surf out into the site. How much more if you do still need to click it out which
it turns out to be hassle into their part on doing such thing even to myself i cant deny that there are times that i dont really need to read it up
but in most cases where gamblers should read it up to avoid future problems. If you do experience problems that you are going against with the tos
then you would just simply scratch your head.

There are remedies for that as long as you agree to the term and requirement that they will give to you. No problem for the best casinos, although there will be times that they can be strict with you depending on what they can see in your account.

It's not a legit site, even if you are not reading the TOS, a legit site would not withheld your winning, they can close your account but they will have to release your funds as that is yours, unless you are caught cheating that resulted to an easy win.

Maybe because most of the gambling websites  have the same TOS or it's annoying to read everything because it's too long to read.
I will not deny that i do the same thing lol, for simple reason I guess because it's not to strict here to play in online gambling And I do not see that I will have any serious problem .

Same here, I am not thinking that not reading the TOS would bring me a serious problem, first they say gamble anonymously, so I think registration is not really a problem even without KYC, most sites have a standard rule so it's okay not a read it, as long as you don't cheat you'll be alright. Sometimes if we are gambling with big money, that's the time that we should be aware of every statement written in the TOS because if we have some problem that is against the TOS, our money could be frozen and everything that we work for will be gone.

I want to make a survey from gamblers in the forum if they are really reading the TOS of the gambling sites they are playing with.

Therefore, I request you to vote and give an explanation on why you voted yes or no?

To tell you frankly Sir, I don't know this TOS. But when I tried to researched it at the google still I don't understand
just all what I can see is about the terms and condition, correct me if I am wrong, because for me I came up into gambling sites
into cryptocurrency just simply signup then play, just simple as that as long as I see there a chance for me to get a good profit in it.

Even if you are going to play in a legit trusted site, reading the ToS is recommended.
Not all legit sites has the same ToS, as you may get different result for similar/same problem.
At least read the ToS before you are going to make your first deposit, if everything is OK for you then you can go for it.
Otherwise, if there is something that you feel is not really good for you then dont deposit.

The TOS of gambling sites is very necessary to be read and well understood by the bettor that want to make use of the site, the reason is still for the sake of the bettor not to do what we not later favor him, there are many gambling sites if not all that have similar rules but not fully the same, that is why we still need to read the TOS in all the gamblimg site we do visit in order to avoid mistakes.

Likely that it is. He said that there's no solution given by the casino to get his funds. I'd like to know what casino is that so others can also avoid playing there.
Knowing that there are casinos like this makes other players to have bad feeling for online casinos that uses crypto. And that feeling is being pointed to the use of cryptocurrency that discourages them.

Exactly. Some user you may see have been blocked by bookies, confiscate their fund etc. The reason is that they don't read the TOS and they've made a mistake so I don't think it's bookies fault for not reading the TOS
