Post by: HunyB on October 23, 2020, 05:06:07 AM
As we know as a crypto Community most of people's think that a Bitcoin (any crypto currency) is illegal and scam. But Now Paypal officially integrated inbuilt features to buy/sell Bitcoin , Etherium , USDT and etc. So It is a great slap to the mostly people who think Crypto is illegal. Now they understand the power of crpyto in upcoming less than 2 years and it will change whole market , the early adopters will take great benefit.

i don't think this is true. most people don't even know about bitcoin and those who do mostly are afraid of it because of the volatile price. the days of people thinking it is a "scam" are long gone.

unfortunately that is not proof of anything. case and point they added shitcoins alongside bitcoin. for example we all know bcash is a fraudulent project, ethereum is centralized and mutable, Tether is owned by a shady company that has never been able to prove the tokens they keep printing is backed by actual USD,... and yet they added them to their platform just like any other cryptocurrency exchange would just for the profit.

It is time to invite you listen to the music on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hlN2nel5HI

How many times bitcoin was said it is dead? After more than 10 years and many times like that, Bitcoin is Bitcoin, it is here. It is not dead and will never be dead.

Bitcoin is not a scam coin. Never. People who are scammers can try to abuse bitcoin, its name, to scam investors but Bitcoin is bitcoin and not a shit coin or scam coin.

It is normal if people think that bitcoin is illegal and scam, especially if they try to invest in bitcoin in 2017-2018 when the price is high. They say that after seeing the bitcoin price jump to the lowest price, they don't imagine seeing that price. And that moment, they lose big money in bitcoin because the bitcoin price is down deeper. So they said to other people that they know about bitcoin is a scam, and I already lose my money.

If they can learn more about bitcoin, the price will not always go up, but the price will always fluctuate, and if they understand that, they will not say that bitcoin is a scam. And now, with  Paypal announce a new feature to buy bitcoin from the member's account, I think that can give people an understanding of bitcoin. Hopefully, that can attract more people to join in bitcoin, and crypto can grow more.

Bitcoin is a scam to those people who are that knowledgeable to this technology but to us who are more inclined with it, ofcourse we value its advantages more than them. People often call it as "fraud" or scam because it does not meet their expectations of easy profit. We all know here that the market value is naturally volatile, thus profit is not always guaranteed especially during bear market situations. The situation nowadays are quite not the same but there are differences already.
More companies are accepting cryptos as mode of payment which establishes trust in this technology. And also, there are still issues being observed by other governments to not adapt to such technology.

As of now we have very small user community for bitcoin usage compared to the fiat usage. This means bitcoin is slowly widening its market and slowly big players are getting into the cryptocurrency usage as investment and on other needs. People find it hard to understand the cryptocurrency in the very beginning. Whenever one tries to learn about bitcoin, surely one will go through the history of bitcoin. Here one will get to see more form of illegal activities done using bitcoin and more other scams. Maybe for this people understand it as a scam.

There are more other cryptocurrencies that existed prior to bitcoin, but for some reason they aren't available in the market anymore. If bitcoin hasn't got its real-time usage or if it is a scam, now this could've got out of it usage. Bitcoin is legit, but some use it a way to scam. It is good to understand, analyse and use it.

When BTC was launched people were busy speaking that this is a new techniques of scammers, when gradually it started to grow they said it's a new technology let's see how it goes.

After all when it went over the moon in 2017, all started worrying. This is nothing new people are always there to speak negative of every stuff, it's always better to research on our own and plan accordingly rather than trusting others.

It is true that having a big company like Paypal in the crypto world adds some credibility to the big cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum(even though I'm not a big fan of Paypal).
However,FUDsters will remain FUDsters and Bitcoin haters will continue with their preaching.
Most the Bitcoin users, who were scammed in the past know, that they can't blame Bitcoin for the fact that they were scammed.Scammers will exist forever,it doesn't matter if they are using Bitcoin or fiat.

There really is no intelligent argument which suggests the Bitcoin is a scam. Lack of understanding of a particular technology does not mean it is a scam, the only people who hold and spread this fud are the government and probably others who regret not buying bitcoins, and PayPal adoption of cryptocurrencies would not change this idea. There is a chance it would help educate those who do not fully understand Bitcoin technology, but these profit oriented companies would give the version of Bitcoin they want their customers to know, a centralized payment system, which is as convenient as managing fiat.
Most people and establishments have been relatively skeptical about bitcoin, as is natural with any new technology especially a monetary software system which functions as an alternative to the norm.

One of the issues with adoption of Bitcoin by centralized platforms, is that it can be dropped very easily should a government launch their CBDC, and users who only adopt Bitcoin when it is convenient would as easily switch to operating the blockchain fiat

How is crypto deemed illegal? Or how is bitcoin deemed illegal? Well, some countries do not legalize bitcoin, but many countries legalized bitcoin, that is why bitcoin ATM which is obvious and increasing daily, having more than 11000 bitcoin ATMs in the world now. Only few countries did not legalize bitcoin. Most countries in Europe, Americas, Australia and Africa legalized bitcoin since many years back, and bitcoin is getting stronger.

Even, without PayPal making moves to make bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin as a payment form on their platform, cryptocurrencies had been deemed very legal, that does not mean I will even make use of the service but it will let many people to be introduced into crypto and increase its adoption.

When BTC was launched people were busy speaking that this is a new techniques of scammers, when gradually it started to grow they said it's a new technology let's see how it goes.

Ignorant people will surely think bitcoin is a scam, also people that no nothing but only misleading other people will say it is a ponzi, while bitcoin was non of these, it has only just been the first successful decentralized currency that is now a great asset to the world.

It's still somewhat true. People calling bitcoin a scam and a ponzi scheme are still around especially on Facebook, and also, I actually have relatives that look down on my interests and investments because they think I'm taking part in a pyramid scheme lmao. Though one thing's for sure, they're slowly but surely getting less. Unfortunately there are a lot of people that call bitcoin a scam solely because they're bitter that they missed out on the gains.

maybe, but people on the internet saying something a lot doesn't represent what "most people" think. there is a lot of FUD campaigns against bitcoin so obviously we will see a lot of cases that are calling bitcoin this and that but it doesn't represent the majority. for example a lot of people were saying bitcoin will fall to $1000 not so long ago, that didn't mean "most people" or even those who were saying it believed it. it was just FUD.

Illegal and scam are different things. No one controls or could individually modify bitcoin, while anyone can join in mining and trading it. It's obviously not a scam. As of claim of bitcoin to be some sort of ponzi or pyramid scheme, we need to first realize that bitcoin is one of the most distributed currency. Not a single person have large enough of them to individually manipulate market. Though there are whale movements in every financial sector, bitcoin is much more distributed than any stocks or fiat.

Well, this is a desperate move of paypal having getting behind from square cash.

Paypal is yes a popular online Money but not all its users will trust Bitcoin or other altcoins so it will take time to be felt by everyone inside cryptoworld.

What most people think about Bitcoin is a very diverse thought. It can be many things such as that people do not know how to use it due to technology and there is a lack of knowledge and disinterest in Bitcoin. The prohibition in some countries but that will be left behind. Paypal is recognized worldwide and will offer its users to obtain Bitcoin in its tool which will mean more users of Bitcoin and crypto.

If I read you correctly are you implying that once a central bank digital currency is going to be implemented that would be the end of bitcoin? What do you mean that (bitcoin) can be dropped very easily? No CBDC can replace the very characteristics which make bitcoin and its protocol special. CBDC will be an entry in a SQL database

Perhaps all the negative reviews that are attributed to Bitcoin are part of the illiteracy of those people. Bitcoin is a very complex technology, and for many, it seems very difficult to understand. And of course, to understand Bitcoin, you must first study it.
Without literacy in cryptocurrencies, you can make a lot of mistakes, this will include errors with money transfers and incorrect storage of keys. And, as always, it happens when people lose something, they tend to blame anyone else, but not themselves. Having lost a significant amount in bitcoin, many people stop believing in it and call bitcoin a fraud and a bubble.

Bitcoin is a decentralized currency worldwide.
Those who think bitcoin is a scam and not legalized in any where in the world, are  those who don't know anything about BTC. Many thought bitcoin will not last more than 5years  which bitcoin is more than 9 years now and it is dominating all over the world to assist all bitcoin community to grow and develop their businesse.
Cryptocurrency has improved in another danmention by introduce PayPal account that got many that though cryptocurrency is a scam to them. Cryptocurrency is not a scam and it will never be a scam to crypto users because  most of the users took their time to do some research about cryptocurrency that make them believed  that cryptocurrency can never be scam any where in the world.
Those who is getting it wrong with crypto currency are those who don't have any idea concerning cryptocurrency.

No, I do not mean it would be the end of Bitcoin at all, I was discussing the adoption of Bitcoin by profit-oriented platforms such as PayPal; They are not implementing Bitcoin into their protocol for it's unique qualities, if it was so, they would have not added other cryptocurrencies like ETH, USDT or BCash, in a situation where a CBDC which offers more volume and an easier transition with the traditional financial system is set up, such platforms could switch over so as to make more profits, they can also be influenced by government agencies to adopt the centralized currencies, same with individuals who adopt Bitcoin through such platforms for convenience.

This would not in any way be the end of Bitcoin, it has qualities which makes it stand out among other competing asset classes and more people would wake up to this with time, and why it is beneficial to them. A government currency built on the blockchain would not change that.

My personal idea is that in the future Bitcoin will control the currency of all countries.

Ehh, probably true. But the sentiment towards bitcoin that we see on social media is a good indicator on how people look at it today. And while I probably won't say "most" people think bitcoin is a scam(because I really don't have data to back this up), but it's a safe assumption(imo) that A LOT of people still thinks it's a scam, even if deep inside they may not think it is, it's just that some of them are jealous.

Bitcoin becomes a "scam" term because of the people spreading fake news and used for scamming other people. Right now there are widely spreading the news about the bitcoin which is the PayPal they already accepted the use of the bitcoin is this a good sign for another change and adopting the use of the bitcoin? I hope so for sure most of the people will try how it will works because a new feature needs to explore this is the common behavior of humans. Being out of curiosity.

I'm just wondering right now do they adapt the use of the altcoins too?. (Such as eth, bch, xrp and ltc) I hope they will too.

Do not make high expectations, yes, in some countries bitcoin is not legal, and the government of my country does not recognize bitcoin transactions.  in general, it doesn't matter to me.  because I only focus on trading and investing.  the government doesn't know my profession as a crypto trader.  I just think that bitcoin and crypto have given me huge profits.  And if the government accepts crypto, that's awesome and bitcoin is not a scam.

I don't think that is quite accurate.

It is true though that there are a lot of people thinking that Bitcoin is illegal or a scam but I think there are still more people that are afraid of scared of the volatility of Bitcoin. They know that it is a cryptocurrency they could invest into but they are quite afraid that they might just lose because of how the price changes in a short period of time.

Nah, most people doesn't think Bitcoin is a scam, but they're more likely doesn't trust Bitcoin in the long run. Some thinks it'll eventually lost it's value, some thinks It's controlled by big players, and all other speculations including the market volatility.

My personal idea is that in the future Bitcoin will control the currency of all countries.
It won't, not a single chance.
First of all, Bitcoin is decentralized which is a downside for majority of the governments when it comes to a currency. Its market value is also volatile, in contrast with the idea that a currency shouls have a stable market value in order to promote equity regarding the world market. Fiat currencies and cryptos are more likely to co-exist in the future than a single currency will be in the center of transactions. Bitcoin and other cryptos are having advantages over fiat but the fact that fiat are more supported across different countries, it will be impossible for it to have a single spotlight in the future. Also, I don't think that is the purpose of cryptos in the first place.

I would never think that Bitcoin could be a scam or even a scam in the future.  It seems to me a kind of madness to think like that.  I think a person with a healthy brain and full knowledge of Bitcoin can never imagine that Bitcoin is a scam.  Bitcoin is slowly gaining popularity around the world.  PayPal is taking steps to legalize Bitcoin.  So we can say that Bitcoin will be the only digital currency in this digital age.  Bitcoin has already been able to show its power all over the world.

It is often said that bitcoin is a scam even though they have not yet proven it, and it is said that it will going to lose value over time. But as the years go by, bitcoin gets stronger and even wider. And due to the imminent acceptance of paypal to bitcoin and other crypto currencies in that way people will be more confident in bitcoin and this will also serves as an opportunity for mass adoption in crypto.

In the years since Bitcoin's inception, many have called it a scam. At the same time, there were thousands of people buying into Bitcoin and rich with that choice.
Bitcoin has liquidity around the world and is accepted by many institutions for payment in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is created by investing in machines and using electrical energy to create it. Bitcoin is essentially a store of value because the difficulty of Bitcoin mining increases every 4 years and the limit is 21 million BTC.
Looking at the amount of cash, no one knows how much more money the world will print in the future. Cash is used by people and is also supported by banks for crimes they commit such as human trafficking, smuggling, money laundering, arms trafficking, ...
Bank cash is made of paper and regulation, they are valuable because people admit it. Bitcoin also admits its value and liquidity increase over time so it can't be a scam.

Don`t worry its just your thinking because many people already knew that bitcoin is not scam. Bitcoin is a digital currency and it made in order to have a peer to peer network transactions. Only people made it a source of income through investment. There are a decade since bitcoin was introduced to the public and until now, it never ran the money of the people. If that happens, probably the whole market of crypto will die. It is slap to the people who believed that bitcoin was a scam before, thinking that it was a bubble thing. Look at btc nowadays, it has massive adoption and even paypal have interest to put btc to their currency lists.

I do not think this move by PayPal gives any kind of legitimacy to cryptocurrencies in the eyes of the people, what this could do is to raise awareness of this new form of money, I do not know how this is going to be implemented but if anyone can see a section that says something like buy and sell cryptocurrencies then that will be a great step forward because even those that do not know anything about it will wonder what that is and make a small research about it.

After that many will not care about cryptocurrencies or invest in them but now on the back of their minds they have the knowledge that something like that exists and they will use it when they are finally ready to enter this market.

I don't think bitcoin is a scam. It is simply a new and adventurous field of finance. If you do not have such high expectations of it, you will realize many opportunities to make life better thanks to bitcoin. Bitcoin was created to have a peer-to-peer transaction. Bitcoin  has never used people's moneyfrom the first time that it has appeared.

Some people are thinking that bitcoin is illegal and a scam, probably because of how the news shows it. As we know that some countries prohibited the use of bitcoin because of its anonymity, meaning it can be used to buy illegal things anonymously. It also has been used on some scams. No wonder that some people think that way.

People can say bitcoin or other cryptocurrency is illegal and scam because they don't even know the truth about bitcoin, what benefits bitcoin offers to them, and don't learn about bitcoin. They are free to say like that as they still prefer the existing payment system. But if they learn a little about bitcoin, I think they will not say that, and they will learn more to find out the other benefits to them.

With the news from Paypal, which offers their member to buy bitcoin directly from their account, I think that can open their eyes, that the famous Paypal now allows their user to buy bitcoin. That means Paypal admitted the existence of bitcoin, and they integrated it with their system.

I think that is a big innovation from Paypal about the allowing of buying bitcoin, and maybe there will be another big company that will integrate their payment system to them like what Paypal did. Maybe that will need time before the big company does the same as Paypal, but it is still a positive sign to the other company to follow behind Paypal. Sooner or later, we will see a big change in the payment system on the internet, which will use bitcoin as the alternative payment system.

Maybe there are still people who will see bitcoin as a scam but those are the people who have small brains honestly, there's just a few of them. What I hated most are those people who understands that bitcoin isn't a scam but decided to spread lies that it is a scam as a whole because they lose a few dollars jumping right away into a scam or into trading without even knowing what it is.

With this crypto being involved in paypal, at least those few small brains who believe that crypto is a scam as a whole will be left thinking about if they are right or wrong. Cause fiat and crypto both have scammers, they can't blame the currency as a whole.

I don't think that the majority of people think that Bitcoin is a illegal/scam. They more likely think it is too complicated or risky for them. Bitcoin is now more than 10 years old and nobody got scammed unless they participated in ponzi schemes, gambled or traded with insane leverage.  :D

PayPal adopting Bitcoin is nevertheless another stone that adds to the trustworthiness of cryptocurrencies.

No matter what other people may say against bitcoin, especially those non-believers, Bitcoin will always here to stay and will continue to spread all throughout the Universe. No one can stop its awesome features and profits, not even those who always think negative about it. This is the reason why I remain in the crypto space, because I believe that slowly cryptocurrency will become more recognized by the world and I believe the world needs cryptocurrency (especially bitcoin). currently paypal that accepts bitcoin and several other cryptos, maybe in the next few years there will be other companies that will provide space for cryptocurrency to enter into it.

Or the scam company where they have wrongfully deposited their bitcoin.

It's still us who believe in it will benefit from it and those who are doubting it will surely regret their decisions when Bitcoin will be adopted by more platforms and huge merchants.

The era when people think negative of bitcoin are long gone. Yeah bitcoin is being used as a means of collecting funds from people by scammers just like every other currency in the world. That’s why it is advisable to be sure of who you deal with in times of bitcoin transactions as the currency remains anonymous and decentralized. Many fall victim to scammers and their funds lost because of selfishness and lack of information about bitcoin scam activities. The world is becoming a global market and people are deriving ways to make money from the internet both in negative and positive ways.

Many people in some parts of the world are yet to know about bitcoin and many are still scared to invest in bitcoin because of its volatility. We live in a world where people capitalize on good things/names to extort or duped people of their funds or valuables and these can be found in almost all sectors of the world not just bitcoin. Scammers are everywhere so we don’t blame it on bitcoin.

As paypal news, it's another milestone achievement by bitcoin that being considered and adopted by one of the biggest online payment platform in the world.

Did Bitcoin scam you? The wrong here is not Bitcoin but the person which is the scammer used the name Bitcoin to fool innocent people, offering big returns, and lose their money. And the bad thing is that they put blame on Bitcoin, not the person who did this.

Companies that have invested in it can also be scammed the crypto market Bitcoin top of the list. Bitcoin has no negative impact on its use and transactions are much better if the crypto market is not stable even if there is a difference in price if the demand increases bitcoin will increase again. It's absolutely normal for people who are ignorant of what bitcoin really is to claim bitcoin is a scam. They obviously do so simply because they are not aware of its advantages and the benefits it offers.
One should also note that some of those who claim bitcoin is a scam are those who bought when the price of was very high back in 2017 or so and sold panicky thereby losing money. They must have thought "this investment is a scam, I lost money"
However, it is an fact that bitcoin is not a scam. Bitcoin has been for more than a decade and revolutionizing the financial system of the world one step at a time. Sooner than later, bitcoin will be adopted massively in the mainstream world and eventually even those that see bitcoin as a scam will admit it is real and genuine

Yeah, it is going to help more people get exposed to bitcoin, but I don't think it will make some huge changes. I mean, you can literally do the same thing with coinbase. Buy and sell crypto and use it for making payment. Now if only paypal provided something more unique. Maybe, something like you will be able to pay in every merchant/shop where paypal is accepted. Like they instantly convert your money to fiat and pays them. Oh, I also have some doubts on price being reasonable.

Bitcoin is a working technology, such as the Internet or mobile... And if people do not know or do not understand the principles of bitcoin, they can not call it scam! This is very stupid!
But that's the reality. Those who are more knowledgeable with this industry in general, do like to label Bitcoin as scam, simply because they know nothing about it. Also, from what I observed, those people who are calling this technology a scam, are those who invested and who did not, which expectations are not met. The first impression from investing to cryptos or Bitcoin, as their term for all cryptos, is an easy profit probably due to what happened before when its market price started to increase which gave huge profit to those who held their Bitcoin for years. The moment wherein Bitcoin reached its ATH is a big time event for those who were able to buy Bitcoin at a low market price, perhaps in year 2013. This more likely gave them the idea that profit will come in an instant or that profit is guaranteed by just investing into Bitcoin. And ofcourse, we are aware that things will not come as easy as it may sound.

Of course, those who don't have any information about cryptocurrency will take it as a treat in finance. Ignorance will definitely make anything a bad thing 'cause it doesn't have an idea what it is and how does it work. Most of those educated people who even have small information about finance and technology will take crypto seriously and will see its potential. When you give a statement try to support it. You said most people think it's a scam? Any way to prove that? I don't know a single person who think it's a scam. I know people who think it might be unstable and crash to 0, but nobody who thinks it's a scam.

that will might changed up their own views and insights towards bitcoin or the entire crypto market. Its the reality where people cant really just directly believe into things

Thinking bitcoin is a scam is gone way far in 2017-2018. Now only a few people think that bitcoin is a scam, mostly know this is a digital asset. But the reason behind the issue of people investing in BTC is it's an unstable price. Normal people can't predict bitcoin's price. They see it is going up and down all the time. For that, they feel like it is a scam and afraid to invest.

Bitcoin is not a scam, scam or other ponzi scheme. Bitcoin is a digital asset that is not protected or regulated by any authority. People who consider bitcoin a scam are people who don't understand what bitcoin is.

-snip- paypal users has already huge amounts of money in their accounts. I don't think it changes much after accepting Bitcoin. users can change their holding into Bitcoin other than that there wont be much difference. maybe some new users join paypal as they might think storing bitcoins in paypal would be more secured.
Paypal users can only buy and sell bitcoin within paypal and are not allowed to make crypto withdrawals out of the paypal platform. Trade also uses US dollars, there won't be much difference. It's just that the adoption of crypto in paypal is only another payment option that is integrated with crypto. There is no safe place to store crypto when we don't have full rights to the wallets we use like paypal. Paypal does not allow users to hold their own keys. It is best to store in our own personal wallet with full control so that it will be our own responsibility as asset owners.

Bitcoin is not a scam.

With a platform as big as Paypal, finally deciding to accept Bitcoin did have a big effect. It is proven that the price of Bitcoin continues to rise,
maybe many people who previously had doubts about Bitcoin, are now more and more convinced to buy Bitcoin. And those who didn't know
Bitcoin before, now starting to learn Bitcoin. I agree early adopters are very profitable, now people who think Bitcoin is a scam must have
realized the mistake. News Paypal accepts Bitcoin is currently a trending topic. And this has a positive effect on the crypto community.

I honestly don't think that most people feel that bitcoin is an illegal scam.  I do know that anyone who says this is in that majority of not knowing what they're talking about.  I do think there were also some people on the sidelines that didn't necessarily think crypto was a scam, but wanted some reassurance.  You are right though, PayPal ( and ironically because they are a scum bag company that does a lot of unethical stuff) bring a lot credibility to bitcoin and crypto and will only help drive it's adoption further.

Bitcoin is already more than ten years of existence and it was use not only as investment but also as payments methods. A lot of development in bitcoin had already done and there are already Bitcoin ATM in other places. Lol those who thinks that way may change their mind or may think worst,But yeah this is one good news for all crypto users as the famous Online payment now adopted Bitcoin and some other altcoins as well.
so from here maybe little by little that PayPal users will soon try to learn and use crypto also and with that surely we will reach the top at last.

There are people who trusted bitcoin but also get scammed and they thought it's the BTC's fault due to scammers who use BTC as an asset. That's the reason why there are plenty of people who distrust cryptocurrency. I guess they should blame themselves for not taking any research about it and the process of investment to assure your income. Bitcoin is very complex, you should learn from others who have done well or gather knowledge about it.

Ignorance towards bitcoin can lead to that kind of mindset. They are thinking that bitcoin is a scam because they don't know how it really works.

Adoption is an evidence that bitcoin is not a scam.

Although we are really slow in achieving it, at least there are improvements.

Bitcoin is really profitable once you study and learn how to manipulate it in the market. It is an alternative investment when you already using fiat currency. Bitcoin is only a scam if bad people use it in their schemes and destroy the reputation of bitcoin in every crimes that they do.

I think says bitcoin scam is those who have invested in bitcoin but they do not profit from it, but they suffer an enormous loss. As happened in 2017-2018.
When FOMO will bitcoin because they bought bitcoin when the price was above. After that, bitcoin dropped in 2018 uncontrollably.
Eventually, they lost a lot of money. But because knowledge of bitcoin is not much, they panic sell and cut loose. They shouldn’t have done that.

As for PayPal adopting bitcoin, it has proven that now more companies know that bitcoin and crypto currencies provide benefits and advantages if they know how bitcoin and other crypto currencies work.

The truth behind those haters are the fact that instead of gaining compensation after investing their money it turned to the other way.

People who lose their money due to lack of understanding that this industry
is not a venue for quick money making opportunities, those who treated this
system as ponzi scheme.

Such mentalities let them to fall with failures and now they are all hating the
existence of this system without properly learning the feature offers of this chain.

Its very common to hear people's divergent view about Bitcoin, some of them who care to dig dip somehow became disappointed with its complexity according to those I interviewed attributing it to the technology as you rightly said however its took a lot of persuations to encourage those who claims that Bitcoin is scam to convince them that its real and not a HYIP or Ponzi scheme their beliefs is because of its price fluctuation.

Of course not all people will adapt bitoin since the "centralization" would still win, we have a government, they govern the world.

In time, it may not everyone will adapt but at least we will see a lot of people will adapt which would result to the increase on demand of bitcoin hence increase of value at the same time.

But, technology is technology we can't live without it now, as you can see there is many new technology which help and make easier human life. Illegal and scam are two different things. people who think Bitcoin is a scam are dumb. but assuming crypto is illegal without knowing that specific country's law and regulations about bitcoin is even worse.
Bitcoin is indeed illegal in some places as Govt don't like (for obvious reason). but now it is changing. people using it without caring about it's legality. and Bitcoin is Decentralized. so govt can't stop people to use it.
and only those early adopters will take benefits who still hodling it. those who sold their bitcoins are probably regretting now. or will regret forever. and 2nd thing. it is still not very late people can still adopt bitcoin and cryptocurrency. buy and hodl.

They said bitcoin is a scam, but we don't think so. If you can see, the crypto industry is growing rapidly, so let them say what ever they like but we know that crypto as a whole is taking over the world.
While it is obvious they are mistaken I think it is a mistake to have the attitude of just letting them say whatever they want without a response, if people were scammed and the scammers were using cryptocurrencies then they have all the right to be mad.

But we need to counter with the argument that the ones that scammed them were the people behind the scheme that eventually took their money and not bitcoin, it does not really makes sense that people blame bitcoin for the scam as when people get scammed with fiat they do not blame fiat currencies, so this is a case of misdirected anger.

that Paypal won't accept Bitcoin if it's a scam. Think about it with your logic, surely you will find the fact that Bitcoin is legit.

we really can't force other people to trust bitcoin. it depends on the understanding of each. we only need to provide education, that bitcoin can be used properly and provides benefits, even though there are downsides related to certain individuals who use it for illegal activities.
I agree about PayPal, it is impossible for a company as big as PayPal to carelessly related to the use of BTC. so don't worry, adapt well by understanding the risks in BTC.

Maybe for those people who saw Bitcoin being used as a tool for scamming and for those people who see Bitcoin being used by criminals then maybe they see it as an illegal thing but for most of the people who are involved in crypto for quite some time already, we know that it isn't a scam at first place. Regarding these companies who are supporting it, its expected already. The crypto industry is booming already and its being known by many people already and in order for them to get some profit at least, they will integrate it into their business like what Paypal did. Paypal is now eyeing Bitcoin because of its many uses and that's all of course with the analysis they made before allowing the sale/buy in paypal.

However, the fact is that people with no knowledge will perceive it as a scam because they are deceived or have no definite experience.
All types of fiat and digital money have been abused by fraudsters even in the real world, many have done it so I ignore the news and will remain positive about the use of bitcoin in the future.

Naturally,  many people think that Bitcoin is a scam, because there are still many who don't understand and know Bitcoin.
Even I, who have known and studied Bitcoin for more than 5 years, still don't fully understand Bitcoin. Especially regarding
the technical part, because I really don't have a basic programmer. Moreover, many politicians and the media provide misleading
information about Bitcoin, and also many scammers who use crypto to commit fraud, which is what makes Bitcoin look bad.
So our job as a crypto community must promote and educate many people, so that many people get the correct information
about Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can never be a trick. The individuals who manage tricks have no information on bitcoin and their nation has not been legitimized. Organizations that have put resources into it can likewise be misled the crypto market Bitcoin first spot on the list. Bitcoin has no negative effect on its utilization and exchanges are vastly improved if the crypto market isn't steady regardless of whether there is a distinction in cost if the interest builds bitcoin will increment once more. Even the adoption of PayPal for me isn't actually the best improvement I can say, they are offering bitcoin transactions but they own the private keys of the wallets you are using, I am already clear, bitcoin is not a scam, people that use bitcoin in negative ways are the scam. What bitcoin is providing us is the freedom to take a path whether to use it accordingly to its white paper, or to deceive people in a way that we show them how to support it but in fact, we just want to take control of it by being one hell of a big financial system to regulate bitcoin.

One of the factors why is because of a few platforms who disguised itself as a legit site and scams people. Ofcourse it will deal a great damage to the image of bitcoin when some people choose to use and stain the name of that cryptocurrency. Investors in Bitcoin can never call Bitcoin a scam because they know the use of Bitcoin and it is a much more profitable currency than other currencies. Investors in Bitcoin who have no idea who the losers are are deceived into being scammed. You need to know and learn about Bitcoin first many people publish misinformation in order to scam in which case you need to know about Bitcoin by doing market research yourself so that there is no fear of being scammed.

We, bitcoin users are pretty sure that bitcoin is not a scam, bitcoin is real, I don't blame those who see bitcoin as scam because, that's their distance view, most of them are thinking it as Ponzi that will soon run away with their investments. There are so many scam investment that has polarized the world and this has affected so many minds, making the real blur.

Bitcoin is just a scam for those who don't want to change their lives and those who ignore opportunities. I called myself one of those before but I realize that I was certainly wrong, I've opened up my mind, and finally, I was truly amazed about Bitcoin.
The negativity of our minds is our first enemy and it brought us nowhere. If we would like to change, as I did, there are no regrets because we decided to invest in Bitcoin but instead, regrets ourselves because we wasted a lot of time on nonsense things before and ignored this great opportunity.

The should be said, those without a little knowledge about this Bitcoin will continue with this slogan of calling Bitcoin scam. Don't blame them for this because they lack the needed understanding which will give them the true nature of this technology, sometimes ago a friend called me to explained how this tech never agreed with some terms in the world of currency but with little orientation from me he was able to see light at the end of the day.

These are vested interests.

That's actually an opportunity to teach them but it would be hard since they would have a hard time how Bitcoin is useful as of now. We can't blame them for not knowing something new since their generation is different from ours. I also do not like belittling people who calls Bitcoin as a scam but I actually wanted them to have the opportunity to talk to them about why do they think Bitcoin is a scam. They might have other friends that are scammed with investments opportunity with Bitcoin but taught wrongly regarding topics about investments which is sad and might really place people under a wrong understanding on how Investments on Bitcoin works.

I think illegal and scandalous things are completely different. No one has been able to control or modify Bitcoin individually, So those who have little idea about Bitcoin Many of them may think that Bitcoin may be scammed in the future. You can make your own money by associating yourself with Bitcoin if you want and many people are doing it. Bitcoin's scandal has not been created yet. However, some countries have not yet approved Bitcoin, so Bitcoin is illegal in all those countries. And it is very inappropriate to mean a scam .

Bitcoin is a very good alternative to fiat money. Yes, it is volatile but people choose Bitcoin to use it because of its decentralized system and being easy-to-use. I think Bitcoin proved itself long time ago. But there is some people who still thinks Bitcoin is scam. I hope they will learn Bitcoin in a nice way and stop trying to blemish it.

Sooner or later they would really able to realize on Bitcoins good side specially when its already flying out with colors or in full adoption scale.

Feeling of regrets? that would surely happen on someone that will be having thoughts that he had missed out lots of opportunities on making money.

Lets accept that majority is really interested on how to make bucks rather than on its true usage or utility.

i don't think this is true. most people don't even know about bitcoin and those who do mostly are afraid of it because of the volatile price. the days of people thinking it is a "scam" are long gone.
Oh no, those days aren't gone. I know a person who graduated in Business Administration in Harward in 2016, has an enormous experience in the financial field but believe it or not, she thinks that bitcoin is a scam and pyramid scheme. People dream to study in Harward and idk if these are the conclusions that they make after getting so high-quality education. And to be fair, there are a lot of people who think that bitcoin is scam. Also, at the same time most of them have no idea what the hell are altcoins and people even don't know that there exists bitcoin forks like bitcoin cash and others.

The fact that PayPal implemented cryptocurrencies will make people believe that bitcoin is not an evil thing, that's the pros of it, otherwise I don't see much pros because of personal reasons and opinions around this task.

Most people don't do their own reading towards crypto, so whatever is laid out by media, they thought is true.
And now, with the integration of one of the popular networks, which is PayPal, a lot will change their stance towards crypto.

It happens to most people in my country, thinking Bitcoin and crypto as a scam, something illegal, and also something worst because itis used for crime.

But for now, we are so relieved because the government has legalized Bitcoin and also other cryptocurrencies as digital assets and there is the law about it. So, we can get into the crypto world more easily.

However, sometimes, many people that do not like BTC will always say that BTC is a scam, BTC is worst, and better to buy Gold than BTC. Moreover for they have bad experiences with BTC such as scammed and also lost their funds on trading. It will be different.

..But Now Paypal officially integrated inbuilt features to buy/sell Bitcoin , Etherium , USDT and etc. ..
Well yeah, actually this is one of the good news that happens these days. Many people around the world have been using PayPal as a method of payment transactions. ANd many people trust PayPal most. that is why it really gives a positive effect on Crypto when Paypal announced that great news.

I completely agree to your point here but we should also consider that bitcoin is the most private way in which people carry transactions. We should also consider the fact that the Bitcoin is also an investment asset and many people out here completely rely on it too.
When it comes to the word scam, it completely depends on the person with whom a guy is currently trading bitcoins with. You need to have enough info before u actually go first in a trade. Most people usually mess up by acting fast and not having enough info about the trader.

Bitcoin is clearly going to be more advanced and almost all countries are familiar with bitcoin and its actions, but maybe there are still some who have not been able to accept it with much consideration and it is not easy to determine the regulations that will be carried out if bitcoin is accepted as a legal means of exchange. usually bitcoin is accepted as crypto trading in general and is not directly connected to banking and that does not matter, meaning bitcoin is still recognized.

I appreciate yourself that you always believe and support the totality of bitcoin and believe that bitcoin is a very profitable investment. bitcoin is of course very interesting now because it is in a period of movement to increase and at least don't miss holding bitcoin so you can enjoy a period of sharp increase.

This will open the eyes for anyone who has underestimated bitcoin that bitcoin can contribute to its holders and is not a dream and might make you disappointed, that's not true.

unfortunately that is not proof of anything. case and point they added shitcoins alongside bitcoin. for example we all know bcash is a fraudulent project, ethereum is centralized and mutable, Tether is owned by a shady company that has never been able to prove the tokens they keep printing is backed by actual USD,... and yet they added them to their platform just like any other cryptocurrency exchange would just for the profit.
In my opinion Paypal doesn't exactly do everything for profit. If they thought about profits in the first place, why didn't they choose Bitcoin early? I think they went through the analysis of the crowd's needs as well as Bitcoin to make this bold decision.
We all know Paypal is the most reputable international payment channel and they must also choose reputable currencies to serve their platform. Therefore, providing the service of buying / selling Bitcoin is also an indirect way of saying that Bitcoin is reputable.

After all when it went over the moon in 2017, all started worrying. This is nothing new people are always there to speak negative of every stuff, it's always better to research on our own and plan accordingly rather than trusting others.

yes, we should not immediately believe the news we just saw, most bad news about BTC is fake news. Many people who want to drop the price of bitcoin when the crypto market is improving, they want the price of bitcoin to fall even further so that they can buy huge amounts of bitcoin. This is my message: "We'd better find the truth from the news we just saw so that we won't be harmed".

Having this perspective is understandable especially to those who aren't knowledgeable enough about the nature of bitcoin and the community itself. Majority of the people who don't understand how bitcoin works are the same people who think that it is a kind of scam. I can't invalidate these people's feelings as bitcoin really have a bad reputation especially to the mainstream media because of different schemes scammers are trying to connect and relate to it.

For example, there are spam messages on comment sections and even facebook groups about bitcoin saying they could earn a good amount of money in just a short span of time and they just have to pay a certain amount. Most people are easily blinded by the offer, hence, are falling to their trap, without them knowing their money is getting scammed already. And then, they will blame the entire bitcoin community. They'll start to generalize and lose trust whenever the term bitcoin is involved.

I guess we really need to have some sort of spreading bitcoin-awareness so that people won't fall for too good to be true offers and will know what could be the benefits of bitcoin on their lives.
