Maybe you can contact @cabalism13 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1605387). He has been running Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone! (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5124375.0), his charity program aims to help the less privilege in his home country. And since the Philippines has been devastated by another cyclone, it's about time to extend our help again.

You can also try contacting @bl4nkcode as he is the one holding the funds collected coming from the donations of other people from their place and to this community. Or @crwth who is also helping @cabalism13 to extend their help to other people.

Or maybe try wearing their signature design and avatar to help spread the Charity Program.

Never thought that Philippine bitcoin community are operating a charity. I thought that in this forum there are no people that will be generous enough to do this. Kudos to the charity handlers and hopefully you will change the lives of those you have helped. If more of this kind of bitcoin based charity is conducted around the world, it will be a big PR(public relations) drive in the name of bitcoin. But the most important thing than that is our community will help make the world a little better for those in need.

Love the reference but I am more of a DOTA2 Fan. Keep doing what you are doing, charity operated by small groups are more trustworthy than most large ones. Do you have pictures of your charity works and hopefully I can see them and someday participate in one.

You can check all of them on the charity thread, from the very first activity till the latest one ; )

Most of the affected area are too far in metro manila and there has no communication line and electricity available at the moment. It still not clear whether there is transportation or the highway are clear from debris due to typhoon strong wind.

I sugges that a trusted forum member here like cabalism will collect fund and convert it to PHP, then just bank transfer to a NPO that focus on giving assistance to those people that are heavily affected. I'm willing to donate some of my salary on signature campaign once there's a live fund raising specifically for this one.

Royse777's helping member affected by the Covid-19 has a good format to follow.

I found that thread while reading a reddit post https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1qance/question_charity_helping_in_the_philippines_that/

I think there is no Philippine charity organization that accepts bitcoin directly. It will have to go though a custodial service called Coins.Ph from this article https://bitpinas.com/cryptocurrency/donate-using-bitcoin/

The process may look like this
- Create Coins.Ph account
- Deposit BTC
- Donate BTC
- Coins.Ph converts BTC to Philippine Peso then deposit to the charity account

How would we as a community put together a fund to donate to the Philippines using bitcoin?

I don't trust "donational funds" and crypto charity programs, unless the BTC are put in a multi-signature wallet, with multiple keys held by really trustworthy members of the cryptocurrency community.
Another thing is having full transparency and consensus about where and for what the Bitcoins will be spent.
Anyway,I think that the Philippines are going to recover pretty fast from this hurricane.Such storms are very common in this region and people are used to this weather.
The pandemic and the corona recession are much bigger problems than a hurricane.

Wow I didn't know that there is something like this going around in this forum so we do have some local representative for each country to handle some kind of events like this?
I only thought that only some gambling sites donate to some charity but I didn't know that there are few members who would start this kind of donation to help our fellow countryman.

First you should say for what reason you're planning to collect money. What did happened in Philippines that donations is needed? If you want to start collecting donations, you should provide as much information as possible to prove that you're not scammer. Because it's not likely that someone will donate to new member without reputation.
There is some people who collecting money for charity, but it's not only for Philippines. So, before doing anything it would be good to talk with them.

You want to support the Philippine government where most members are total psychopaths?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tW0RWsq8JeA    Philippines president threatens to 'shoot dead' lockdown troublemakers

And how much money you are going to put in  your own pocket?

And how do you think you can pass the checkpoints? Without documents they dont let you through(now it its lifted, but you know Terrorist Duterte just needs to open his mouth and the checkpoints getting very strict again).

Probably he is a Filipino by heart and he wanted to help because the Philippines has been devastated by cyclones and typhoons again. Codename Ulysees, I think this is the 3rd or 4th typhoon that hits the Philippines this November alone causing damage to properties and lost of lives.

I already posted the contact person, so we don't know if he has reach out to cabalism13 and I just hope that everyone from the Philippine community is ok after the recent disaster.

No one is trying to contact me except for crwth, regarding his plan on December. As I have said before my only activity for the next month will be giving out some foods to the street children.

Due to Typhoon Ulysses, there are a number of people here in our place has been wiped out (talking about their homes, livelihoods, etc.)

So I'm thinking to get some portion of the funds in my hands to give some help especially to those who're in Siniloan, Tanay, Marikina, San Mateo and Rodriguez Rizal. For I'm quite near the said places.

edit:

Here's an example of the current events today due to typhoon

Super typhoon after typhoon. That's what happened.

Typhoon Vamco hits the Philippines – in pictures (https://www.theguardian.com/world/gallery/2020/nov/13/typhoon-vamco-hits-the-philippines-in-pictures)

Manila paralysed after Typhoon Vamco sweeps across Philippines (https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/11/12/manila-paralysed-after-typhoon-vamco-sweeps-across-philippines)

You only have to choose those charities and funds that are truly giving it to the needy. The charities above given are legit.

The process may look like this
- Create Coins.Ph account
- Deposit BTC
- Donate BTC
- Coins.Ph converts BTC to Philippine Peso then deposit to the charity account
These are charities listed on them.

Now this is more clearer and cleaner than what OP provided, since it's from coins.ph I believe it, I will gladly do what I can before this month runs out and I hope that others won't hesitate to help their brothers and sisters in need

Its a no-brainer action. If you don't want to go crypro, then open a Gofundme account. If you want to go the crypto route, then open a bitcoin wallet. In all, request for donation

It's not easy as you think since many is so skeptical and doubt for the intentions especially the newbie account creates a topic related to donation drive. Maybe the one who plan to conduct this plans are those people who want to execute some deep verification first so that donators will know on where there money goes since we are dealing with money and many scammers are attempting to do anything just to get money

Everything should really be in process from verification to releasing off those funds to the right path and as you said on where there are lots of scammers out there which are just pretending or making
use of these genre to lure in people and for them to scam out money with those kind of ways this is why further verifications is somewhat a normal thing. It wont really be that easy even
trusting up funds into someone online is still hard to be done but actually there are really people who are trusthworthy on this place though but building up that kind of
trust and reputation isnt something that can be attained overnight. This do involves lots of legit works and sincerity on things that  he got involved.

Those people who's been establish already so we can assume that they are safe especially they have escrow used for their project but for low rank accounts I think we cannot trust them up even if we can see a good presentation since as we discussed many scammers are using that to accumulate money here so those generous people should be aware and they just go directly to the person who already running this kind of project for quite long while.

To raise funds for donations using bitcoin for the people of the Philippines we can raise funds there by creating a bitcoin wallet or various accounts but there are many people who scam by spreading such lies that is why many do not believe in these grants. We have to go ahead with the plan and see how reliable it is to gain trust the number of online scams has increased a lot.

It increase a lot due to the fact that bitcoin price is rising many scammers are getting more urge to scam people that's why we need to be aware that this type of scams exist, so since OP doesn't have any reputation yet best to hand this to the one who experience to handle the charity project in this forum. Maybe he can communicate to the project owner and ask if he can help since there's a sort of verification happened and it's up to the experience person to trust him or not.

I think OP was asked about how to put Bitcoin as a fund of donation in the Philippines.  There are most trusted people doing this aside from the charity program here on Bitcointalk.  I remember Binance was doing this during the pandemic and helping frontliners sending PPE supplies to hospitals in the Philippines (https://twitter.com/binancebcf/status/1307063242355879936?lang=en) and I as heard, they keep doing this until now.

Also, our boxing legend senator Manny Pacquiao has also a Foundation (https://pacquiaofoundation.org/news/) that accept cryptocurrencies not only Bitcoin, just try to collaborate with them for your donation proposal, and might they will not refuse especially if this will have great help to the people of the Philippines that need help.

But if someone asking raising funds for charity donation without any experience(a newbie), everyone might doubtful and thinking that is a scam.
