Crypto Scam? ICO Scam? IEO Scam and Now DeFi Scam?

Many years before the Cryptocurrency was a scam for some people, later people said that ICOs are scam, when ICOs had gone and IEO had begun then they were blaming that IEOs are scam later now they are calming that DeFi is scam

Who are they??

They need to be called LOOFER= LOOSER who just want to spread FUD for their own benefit

i can be agreed that icos ieo and defi have hype effect. we can use word "hype". those who say it was scams do not understand what those words means and just spread fud. or they are really loosers  because they invested only in scams under hype effect without any analysis of their projects.

It could also be those people who have been getting a big loss from trading on the defi projects. I personally will not call everything as a scam. Sometimes people use it to call everything as a scam to spread FUD.
I ain't hearing it. I don't even care about what they were saying.

There were some people who have been saying if ethereum was a scam and this is just an example about crazy people are.
Even that's a legit coin but some people still called it as a scam. It's very hilarious

well defi can be a rug pull whereas my IEO doesn't agree with a scam, IEOs on big exchanges always get a good ROI, I think people who say that are either affected by Rekt or don't get IEO

Scammers flocks onto those sectors which are popular. At current time, DEFI has larger number of scams than any other sector in crypto cause Defi got an inflated degree of attention from the investors. Real Defi are the future of crypto based finance but it doesn't mean each and every defi that comes forward would be an entire success. Just a few of them that does it right, gets the early users and keeps on adjusting with the demand of time would flourish while 90% of Defi we know as of yet would go out of business.

Not all the above are real; there are scam project inside too. I invested in a DeFi project last month and the ran away with over 60Eth of the investors. When i traced where they moved our Eth to, they already has over $1,480,000 worth of eth in that wallet. Which i know the scammed people. Here is the wallet they moved our eth to 0x910cbd523d972eb0a6f4cae4618ad62622b39dbf. The project name is YFOP. I have enjoyed some DeFi projects but the last 3 invested in, ended in pain.

If you think you're being offended, you need to grow thicker skin. In the past before many people screaming ICO scam on 2018-2019, there're many people said Bitcoin is scam :P

Don't worry about their opinion against your choice and believing, they'll realize and regret until the coin in bullish.

We all invest in different projects and encountered different difficulties at different time. Those who call DeFi scam are the obvious ones who invested in bad projects. Like Yam and kimchi for example who had rebating problem and how hacker tap into SUSHI swap smart contract to exploit liquidity. Ico were bad, IEO were even better and DeFi were good but hype killed it so fast that's why many didn't even last and developers were using the new trend to drain people's money.
Would you blame someone who bout yearn.finance at $40k? He probably thought the price might go higher but was disappointed.

The impressive growth in the DeFi (decentralized finance) market since the start of the year has indicated that there is a strong demand for this new revenue-generating protocol, so it should come as no surprise that many investors are starting to invest in DeFi-compliant projects nowadays. , so with his current fame it is not surprising and closing the possibility that there will be people who try to commit fraud by building a DeFi scam project and this seems inevitable in the future, such as ico, sto and also ieo that are not free from scams. so, it is proper for us to be careful in investing the money we have in a crypto project.

As you can see all of them started really great and as the time goes by they all became full of scams. The reason is that the scammers are doing anything in order to trick out others they will use the current thread to take advantage to other by scamming them but I can tell to you that not all the projects right now are scam.

Whether it is an ICO, IEO or DeFI project doesn't mean you have got nothing to do on your part. On the contrary, you best research the projects of any of

these categories to see if its worth your investment or not.

Only with the proper knowledge of the project and not blindly adding money into projects you can avoid incurring losses. It is not the fault of the project

but the nature of it to be a scam if that's what it turns out to be. You're at fault.

Just because it's a project with some buzz words don't mean is safe. Due diligence is always a must.

More reasons many of us won't agree with you, the aims of millions in this industry is or are to make quick profits (get rich quick) and by so doing they end-up with scam projects. There are projects which without research anyone can figure out their aims but those with higher need of profits won't check these projects two times before make their investment which is wrong. Yes there are scam projects everywhere but there are still good projects with minimum profits.

The only advice "invest whatever you afford to lose" I only suggest to invest the minimum $10 or $1 whatever you afford to lose and when you see that the project is promising then you may invest the bigger amount. Just assume that you are donating to beggars.

so, why you still active here in this forum, if you think crypto, ICO, IEO and defi is scam mate ?

There are crypto's that are scam, the same as with ICO, IEO and Defis. It's not in general that cryptos are scam, we've heard it right and we've experienced how good to be part of this journey and market. But there really were bad people that are taking advantage of the lack of knowledge of other investors and creating scam tokens, scam projects and what's worse is that they are able to list that fake token to exchanges which also gets a lot of victims to lose money.

Not all of them are scam projects but the image once gets ruin because the majority of them are turning to nothing and causes more losses to the investors. We are not believing that it will end like that as many of them look very promising but then, they can't hide their real intention.

I can't see the next projects will be the worse one but I can see that people won't give them trust easily. People are now learning from their mistakes and I'm sure they are not stupid gain to get fooled by nonsense promises that commonly use by any project developers.

There are finer things to understand here, ICO as a process is the most noble way to raise money for legit projects but we saw thousands of scam projects and that is the case with IEO, DeFi is a novel idea as well but you will see scammers taking over and running away with the money and we have already seen many scam projects in the DeFi platform as well.

Every new business or tech takes time to develop and settle down, this is natural process and we should all know that when a new tech is launched many people will come to make personal advantages or quick money or we can say that bad people are everywhere in every business and every walk of life that can damage the reputation of the whole market but i think we should keep encouraging innovators while we should find a way to stop scammers as well.

Crypto is about how you can be a winner or losers. there are so many cases the losers were calling such coin as a scam caused by they have been losing their money in trading on the market.
I have been seeing it so many times. Some people who have been hating the coins usually called such coin as a scam too.
When someone keeps call everything as a scam and there's a problem with his life. Sometimes the word of a scam being used as a hated speech.
It may not happen when they were investing in it and earn huge profits from there. They will not call that as a scam. Crypto is a game.

The scammer will take advantage of any circumstances to scammed people, and they are not stupid. They know what is tren and will find a way how to take advantage of it. So don't be surprised if ICO, IEO, Defi can be scam. Actually so easy to avoid it, don't join in any new project, but for people who greedy and don't have good knowledge it's so hard to follow that easy step

From my point of view, it is not those crowdfunding methods are a scam but people who are taking advantage of hyped technologies for their own benefits. Wherever they will see the opportunity to scam investors, will make that try. So crypto investors must be ready and cautious for golden looking technologies and related projects.

I do agree that we can't blame the method just because some projects are scam. scammer are everywhere and they usually target something that has some audience where they have bigger opportunities and as it happens ICO, IEO, Defi all of them are rather hype and have too many people vulnerable thus the scammers target these three and scamming don't happen only in crypto so accusing or blaming IEO, ICO, or Defi as a whole just because some project went scam is not really right.

Thats true  :D. kinda reminds me back then so many people are against bitcoin telling us that it's total scam but see what it turns out to be. just keep believing in ourselves i guess.

I remember that time period where people were calling bitcoin as scam and I guess up until this day, there are still people who believe that bitcoin is scam. But we can't force people to change their beliefs. Every business has scammers and it is up to you how you can avoid being victim by their scheme. The goal of DeFi platform is great but it is tainted of so many scammers just like any other project launched in crypto. So as a crypto user, it is only you that can help yourself from preventing being screwed by this new hype.

not all new project was scam, there are alot good project that recetly released. take a look at polkadot , we could call it as new project but its community growing fastly and its price could maintain in market. we just need to avoid project that have hyped but it have no usecase at all and also anon team , if we find this kind project its purely pump and dumped coins.

I think the term is not scam but hype. Price movements that are too attractive and also prices that are too high in my opinion indicate there is hype that needs to be watched out for. Many ICOs have succeeded as well as IEOs but in my opinion DeFi is only a temporary trend and it takes a long time to turn the project into a product

IMO , when people lose something big, one of them is money. They tend to look for an outlet to relieve feelings of disappointment and anger, one of which is by blindly blaming ICO, IEO, Defi etc. I think it's quite normal, especially if they enter into the crypto world because they are tempted to make big profits after seeing the soaring price of bitcoin.

Maybe if we know these people, we better tell them that in the crypto world, high risk = high reward. If necessary, direct them to join this forum so that they can see and learn about crypto so they don't lose again in the future.

in the end anything that can bring in quick profits will scam in due time. all of this happened because everyone was seduced by huge profits. and the bad guys make it worse. Scammers exist because people are easily tempted, and also too easy to launch a project. they just need to have all the websites, write a whitepaper, and create an ERC20 token, and add some photos or videos. be a project that looks convincing. if only people had been more patient and searched deeper about the projects that would be launched, maybe this would not have happened.

They are getting the concept wrong or they brain is getting washed up. It doesn't mean that if one project under an ICO, IEO of DeFi scammed their investor that doesn't mean the whole category of ICO, IEO and DeFi is purely scam. They are just I think frustrated that's why maybe they are saying that all of them are scams, maybe they have a lot of experience getting scammed by projects under these said categories.

You have to differentiate between FUD and truth. those who have lost to IEOs or ICOs tend to be cautious and whenever a good looking project is launched they always study it and see if it is trustworthy or just a scam project. we should appreciate those who shared their findings about the project so that we would avoid being scammed. after all we can also see what they say is true or just FUD. instead of calling them LOOSER. the more people like this, the more people will be saved from the scam project.

Just because some people make profit by flipping their ICOs, IEOs or now DeFi tokens doesn't mean that they aren't scams. In the simplest terms "Scam" is defined as "A dishonest scheme".

Right now what is happening in DeFi has a very simple template just like ICOs and IEOs had their own templates:

1.) Hype about staking and farming

2.) Hype about the project's "governance" token.

Everyone is rushing to sell their own governance token hyping people to provide liquidity. There is nothing underlying to justify the APYs, except the prices set by initial pairing ratio on Uniswap like DEX. The devs are thus enticing people (or rather people are getting enticed) to invest more by showing APYs. The small holders get burned buying into their governance tokens or providing liquidity for them.
Every DeFi project will work well for those who get in early and of course for the whales. There simply is no underlying value. There are few projects that are actually working on financial products with Decentralized access. Yet, those either don't get the attention or only get VCs and whales, which ultimately makes it just like traditional finance.

So Yeah, Scams..

Well, if you see a project scam, and draw the conclusion that all ICO, IEO, and DeFi projects are a scam, then I don't agree with that. I have seen many ICOs become a scam, but there are several other ICOs that still hold on to their principles.
Seeing that the DeFi project is currently under the spotlight, I think it's very natural that there are people who are not responsible for taking advantage of moments like this to create a scam project. because of this, we need to do in-depth research on a project. it is reminded very often

New attraction forms will always be popping up, i don't find this hard to understand. We cannot fight this, because I see almost every domain where bad and good things go hand in hand, and time will give us experience because we have encountered such many times. If there is no such new trend, the people who know this market will not be much, i think not only ICO, IEO, DeFi but in the near future we will have more trends and I think this will be an opportunity let the scamer attack new people into the market.

honestly this is very funny, if you say everything is Scam of course is scam !, if you can not analyze an IEO  ;D,
Defi and Crypto. yes I understand your feelings, maybe you lose your capital in the crypto world, but if you give up then you will be crushed, cryptocurrencies can still develop, IEO and Defi are also very young to talk about, 5-10 years will be big, and you will be shocked

Well some spread fud because they are being paid,and some it was because they are become victim.

what ever their reason the thing is better get off those scams and deal with legit and long running currencies.

it is natural to happen. whenever someone is popular, there are always other parties who take advantage of his popularity.
Like in Crypto. When Airdrop hype, there were other people who took advantage of them by holding fake airdrops.

why generalize all . when they say crypto is a scam , its like saying all or most of them are scam . instead they can say that this name of this coin is a scam  . when ico came out , those that who complain scams forget crypto and move thier attention to ico then after ico it was ieo and so on . ieo was the most succesful of all and there has been lesser to no scams reported on ieo . ico and defi are pretty close because there are a bunch of them that are scams . theres that investor that if they loose they will call the coin a scam but they arent spreading fuds and i dont think they can get any benefit of doing  that.

I really did not expect, formulas that attract people to invest like ICO, IEO,.. all bring benefits to many people, and many will be an attractive place for these people. want to work and still want easy money. I has gone through IEO, ICO and i see that we can win this field if we have enough knowledge and understanding about it, just like DeFi appears to follow new trends in the market, new project will must be out of the current and scam.

Scammers will take advantage of any new thing in crypto space that brings more money, ICO scam was insane and IEO scams was lesser thanks to secured top exchanges who cares about their reputations, they do better research on the projects before launching or conducting IEO launchpad

DeFi scam is very comparable to ICO scam because the freedom without any third parties (top exchanges) is not available, majority of DeFi projects are targeting Uniswap which is a fully decentralized exchange, meaning scammers can sell their scam tokens on the exchange or impersonate other projects token and fool the buyers

Sad but true that almost in every areas of this forum people never been contented,after something bring them profit they will look for another new and then the first will be blamed and named as scam.

Yes scam will always occur in crypto everyday life, that's why learning is very important but majority of newbies don't know that, DeFi scam is even worse than IEO scam, if you are smart you will know that any project that gives up too high returns for their investors are running Ponzi scheme in a different method that looks legit, I believe that many DeFi projects are Ponzi

I don't say all of them is scam but more of them even the IEO project that use unpopular exchange is also scam.

If there are project that been successful after the launch doesn't mean all of the project is legit. There are just project that working hard to make things good for them.

They aren't just claiming, many DeFi projects have exit scam because of the stupidity of some investors who don't do good research on projects before investing money, been decentralized makes scammers work more easier, no track or traces, they dump tokens through DEX and exit.

We don't need to call them names, they are people who aren't ready to learn anything, all they do is put blame on the fundraising system, whereas many are benefiting, the truth is when any new use case works better in Crypto space scammers will always be available to take advantage of the system, investors job is to do deep research or end up falling for the trap

All of that is the work of scammers who always try to make copies of project methods that are trending, we can see when many ICO projects are successful, they continue to act to create fake ICO projects so they experience SCAM, as well as when IEOs start to trend good thing, they are also active in creating fake IEO projects that are listed on bad exchanges, and the same as this time where they also make some fake DeFi projects which in the end also got SCAM.

ICO used to be the best place for investors until the number of scam projects massively increased, same with IEO, Defi, etc.  Eventually, any form of crowdfunding will turn out to be a scam because scammers will take advantage of the market or whatever the trend is because people are going crazy about it. It will never be an ending cycle.

Are you saying people are accusing these crowdfunding strategies just to spread FUD? This is a wrong point bro, scammers are indeed available in ICO days and till date, many DeFi projects have exit scam too, go to uniswap exchange you will see many copycat of well known tokens listed on uniswap to scam those who don't know the real smart contract of the tokens.

I guess he does not yet get the experience of getting scam by the project so that he can say like that.
Most people will know that even ICO, IEO, and the DeFi project are trying to scam investors, and it is hard to know which project will scam us.
If he still insists on saying and doing whatever he wants, I think we can let him prove and get that experience, so he can know that the scam project is available everywhere.

Very true and polkadot is actually one of the brightest project out there although what holds in the future we never know. People often criticize the ICOs but we need to understand like good and bad people exist similarly both kind of projects exist in ICO, IEO and now DeFi. If you are smart and invest in the good project you will profit while if you make the wrong choice you will lose and lash out at the market which is not the right way to learn.

You should understand that not every project will give returns and even some good projects might stop or close out due to lack of interest that doesn't mean the market is scam and everyone is just fake, it only means you made mistakes spotting the right coin for investment.

No one is making things up mate, scammers have used ICO and IEO to scam millions of people, if you aren't confused yet then do research on bitconnet and onecoin, their scam rate was well noticable around the world and now DeFi scams exists too

Bravo mate bravo, you should go and invest on projects like ESH, Onecoin or bitconnet right now since you believe that there is no scam projects in crypto space and comeback here to drop your feedback or success story

The cryptocurrencies themselves in general are certainly not a scam, but there are a huge number of scammers who use the cryptocurrency sphere for fraud, for example, when ICO was popular, many scammers created cryptocurrency companies and these scammers was selling their company's tokens through ICOs, and the same applies to IEO and defi sphere, there are scammers everywhere.

They might call all of them scam because they don't do due diligent before investing and when the get their fingers burnt, that becomes their language naturally. New ideas will continually come in and people will take advantage of them. DeFi is gaining ground now and who know what we are going to have in the next 2 years. Nobody talk about ICO anymore, time and chance happen to everything.

It is not all about the crowdfunding activity rather it is all about the scammers that are fan of copying or taking advantage on the HYIP or FOMO in project investment. We know how good DEFI projects are but are now slowly degrading after some DEFI look alike crowdfunding projects that are only after for scamming. We could not avoid this because they are good in scamming and are free to do so. The best thing to do here is to always be aware and get inform in every project that will be reported in the scam and reputation board.

Those people (who think crypto is scam) dont have enough knowledge to understand the nature of it and believing on negative news against crypto and didnt bother to verify if the claim is true.

When it comes to ICO, IEO and defi projects they became popular because of hype. Its true that many scam exists during there popularity but it doesnt mean that all of them are scam. There are good projects manage to succeed during their times. Its just that many investors lose their money for investing in scam project and because of their eagerness to earn without proper knowledge

as happened some time ago when YFI coins could have such an expensive price after that a lot of coins that had the initial Y appeared and tried to deceive many people, so in my opinion be alert it still has to be done but for people who still don't have it. a lot of experience about scam cryptocurrencies would be difficult to avoid.

at least what you must know is that all cryptocurrency projects have a potential scam, no one knows when it happened.

There is a lot of scam ICO until now a lot of project are scam too you know the only problems is the people who is scammer who use the different kinds of earnings here in crypto for their own sake which is very wrong and I hope those scammers will karma as soon as possible because those money is not for them people are want to earn money I don't know why other people are doing bad things for that.

if they really want to earn in a less riskier way (although theres no real less risky way to earn ) they need to set up a business on thier own using that hard earned money they got and manage it seriously

In fact, that is the tradition and the way the crypto market works, you need to get used to it. Our Crypto market operates like a price manipulation market and so every year we have a trend formed by whales. As you can also see Defi trend currently has very few projects that actually bring services to the public out there.  all the price increase is due to the whale's fomo, and when the time comes to ripen they will sell off and determine the trend is over :)

Not all ICO's, IEO's & DEFI are SCAM's but I thing few of them are creating fud in this space.

Why did they say Crypto-currency is a scam? Because they didn't earn from it? Or because some of the projects in this Crypto-currency is literally scam? Actually, we can't blame them because there's a scam in Crypto-currency ICOs, IEOs, and Defi. Some of these project creators keep moving in the trending spot in crypto-currency to have many investors. So we need to choose wisely what project we should support or invest in.

That's right, basically Cryptocurrency is not a scam, it's just that scammers who deliberately take advantage of opportunities through the opportunities they have so dare to create scam projects with methods that are in trend, such as ICOs in the past and after that IEO and DeFi at this time.

The ICO and DEFI markets are both new at the start of its trend so they are easily manipulated because they have no valuable history. There are lots of scams in the crypto world since the beggining. From ICO to IEO and now the new trend DEFI which driving investors crazy to invest with. People who don't do research before investing on crypto projects will surely end up losing their money to scammers, newbies always like blaming the technology when they fall for scams, saying bitcoin is a scam of such but huge numbers of scam projects did exists, without proper research one will eventually get caught in scammers trap

It looks like the majority of blamers came from the newbies who didn't know how to play in the crypto. I saw so many newbies were blaming anything when they were getting lost.
Even if they were losing in trading activities and they will be visiting the telegram group and they will say that as a scam while the team has no control over the price of coin and market.
They need to be educated.

From what I know is that those who usually say DeFi is a scam here and there, are those who invested in scam projects and they lost all their money,not our fault if they had done a good research they wouldn't have fall into the scammers trap, even though there have been a few scams in ICO's back then and in the current DeFi market,but calling IEO a scam? Nah, I don't agree with the part, cus have witnessed alot of IEO's done on popular exchanges, they normally get good turn out.

They needed to get engaged to the project before investing in, without proper knowledge about the project they

What benefits is there to gain when one tell the world that they get scammed through ICO or IEO projects? I don't kinda understand your point here, scam projects are real and people don't need to lie about their existence, you can find answers just by doing your own research

Defi is getting much popular now a days so peoples start scam innocent peoples  with defi now days, many projects are launching day by day with defi and most of them become scam within few days, mostly twitter or social media accounts getting ban and support dont answer to investors as well. I suggest to join the trusted projects from trusted team to avoid losses or scam,.

The best way to avoid these scams is to actually wait for their promised product to be ready and then invest although you will get the token at a slightly higher cost but at least you know they have something solid to get the price going and the market will respond slowly but surely.

There is no way one can differentiate between scam and legit tokens in the ICO phase because there are way too many scams and more like 5-10% are legit and the scam ones actually advertise and popularize themselves better than the legit ones so it is nearly impossible to spot them hence use the safe method and wait for a big exchange listing or at least some progress on the product they promised.

not entirely that they are FUD. because this cryptoqurrency space is wide open and all forms of investment are different. although ICOs are associated with SCAM but in fact ICOs still appear every day, top IEOs are still running like IEOs on Binance, and now DEFI is a new investment tool. Many rumors say SCAM but in fact it is profitable for short-term investments. So, I think investing in projects hinges on luck. if you don't dare to take the risk then just take the top coin options, for example BTC / ETH.

ICO, IEO, Defi, or other else can be scams. We cannot deny it if some of them are scams. But indeed not all are scams, there should be the real ones. Scammers take advantage of the current hypes, so they choose which one is the most popular trend. Trap people with a current project trend will create a higher chance. Yes, it is the fact and real. We cannot deny the situation.

It could be those people who invested in different scam project and got a huge loses. They didn't learn and understand first before they invest that's why they accused crypto, ico, ieo and defi scam after their loses. Well that is the thing, the idea is not the scam version, the people who scam are the scammers and they use everything to scam others. People look at crypto and all they see is scammers and I understand that crypto has been used for scamming a lot, but what about before crypto?

People scammed each other even before money was invented (in our sense) so I think what you use in order to scam people is not really the main idea here, it is just a tool to use while you do scamming, if you use crypto you use crypto, if you use gold you use gold, if you use dollars you use dollars, as long as a scammer wants to scam others they will find something to scam. With this idea people used icos, ieos, and defis all as a scam when they want to. This doesn't mean they are all scam, it just means there are scammers in them.

These are different trends or phases in the crypto space and with each phase comes a winning time and lossing time, but it always looks like the lossing time is always much. What I meant is this, it started with ICO, and during this ICO many good projects were developed and most of them are still functioning till today at the same time, many scams also took place and owing to the high rate of scams, ICO was abandoned for IEO. Now those good projects can be considered the winning time/projects because most investors earned well while the scam projects can be considered the lossing time. The failure of ICO lead to IEO and till date IEO is still working but not as it used it, however, this then shows that IEO is different from ICO and more sustainable as well. DeFi on the other hand, is different as well, the hype was much, projects pumped and many dumped terribly on their investors, this might be the reason some people call most of them scams, and likely taking the path of ICO.
Therefore, from all, I will say IEO is different and better.
On the other hand, anyone tagging the crypto space as scam, shows the person lacks the knowledge of how it works.

It can not be controlled to some extent because of the loopholes and bugs in every system especially when it comes to something new. There are people who are ready to exploit, scam, abuse or misuse each new thing and to get rid of them is not easy as they keep coming back in different forms and things. I hope in future there would be a service to atleast certify genuine projects so that people can stay away from non certified projects.

Crypto is not a scam. Just as crypto is constantly evolving with new technology, scammers are also improving their traps. They use the opportunity with new trends. So that people do not understand their trick.

We can't call it DeFi scam yet. There are still lots of potential with DeFi, but its hype just really slowing down towards death. However, when there is no hype remaining in this market and it will slowly turning the projects into their graveyards and nobody will even care about certain projects. I will not mention who they are, but for sure that scamers are always around us and even we also can not realize which one is going to be a scam. It is true that between ICO, IEO, ITO / DEFI can turn into fraud and vice versa. but without them we would not be able to benefit and would never know about the criteria for fraud.

Most projects birth via ICO, IEO and Defi are nothing but pure scam. Most are down with -91% and may never revive again, while most ran away with investors fund. So we just have few really success story. People hate good long term project with potentials but choose to chase HYIP to their detriment. staying with bitcoin and top altcoin will always be gold regardless of what happens in the market.

I guess everything depends on the project power because a strong project can process ICO/IEO anything. Investors will come automatically if a project have top exchange partnership with funds power. You may know that the time of ico was good but investors have moved away from this concept for some messy scam project.

Well some of them are not intentional scams, I am talking about defi projects that are coming from reputed people behind them, it is just that hackers find a way to decode their contracts and steal the funds.
