Introducing: Alter Ego Coin <AEC>, 100% ASIC&FPGA safe PoW GPU coin with AEC/FIAT exchange. LAUNCH DATE: 26:th of April 20:00 CET IPO INVESTMENT PHASE ENDS 25:th of April 20:00 CET This project is being worked on side by side with University studys, work and parenting by the Development team. After Bitcoin mining became ASIC centralised people converted to Litecoin/altcoin mining and since Scrypt mining is soon going to be just as centralised as Bitcoin mining we came up with the solution - Alter Ego Coin. The Alter Ego network will be secured by multiple hashing algoritms rotating in a pre determined cycle that will make AEC impossible to mine with any currently existing or in the pipeline type of ASIC/FPGA. AEC mining will require a customised miner to mine and the miner is currently in progress. Exactly what algos and how many different algos that the miner will use will not be made public yet. Our aim is to take the power back from a few companys that produce ASIC`s and FPGA`s for a small elite of miners able to invest thousands of USD into dedicated mining equipment and re-decentralize crypto giving everybody the opportunity to mine, now and in the future. At the same time we wanted to develop a coin that fast and easy can be converted into FIAT and sent almost anywhere in the world. A coin that gives you the option to instantly exchange your Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency into AEC and trade the AEC for FIAT and have them sent directly to your bankaccount. We will have downloads for Windows, MacOS, Linux source available on release - no one will be left out in the dark. or even better add us on Twitter @AlterEgoCoin to not miss any updates. Three 0% fee P2Pools (1 EU, 1 US, 1 CN) will be available on release and they will remain open until we see at least a few other pools up and running, then we will close them with a 24 hours prior notice. It is our firm belief that pools should not be run by developers, they should be run by independent pool operators being a part of the community! The Exchange: In paralell with the coin and the miner we are working on a AEC/FIAT exchange that is planned to go live a few weeks after mining have started. The coin will by then be listed on at least a few major/larger exchanges and the market should have determined its value. We will be able to conduct IBAN/SWIFT/BIC transfers for up to 4000SEK or roughly 625USD per transaction without a know-your-customer process in full compliance with our local laws and regulations. If you want to exchange larger amounts we suggest doing several transactions with 1 day(24 hours) in between or going through the registration process that we will try make as fast and painless as possible. Our aim is to keep the process under 24 hours on working days, national holidays will of course be listed on the site. Upon launch this service will be available to EU+Norway, USA/Canada and Chinese customers only! India and other countrys part of the commonwealth is second on priority list, Africa and South America are not considered at the moment sorry. Going to watch this ;) From a blunt point of view most altcoins have a value only because you can convert them for bitcoins or litecoins at an exchange and then use them to buy items/services online or trade them for FIAT. Giving miners a the opportunity to trade the coin they mine against FIAT for a fee in a easy and straightforward way is something that currently does not exist for miners in many countrys. To be able to trade your crypto for a bank transfer would in our opinion be much more attractive then to be able to trade it for a Fanta. Fanta is nice if cold on a warm summer day but it would be impossible to pay your electricity bill with a bussload of Fanta`s or to trade 500 Fanta for a new CPU or GPU. We will not work as a central bank, we will work as a middleman for conversion of AEC to FIAT. We will not provide any banking options at all, you will not be able to store your AEC at the exchange. The exchange will have a solid reserve of AEC (we will invest ourself in the IPO to ensure that). It is also our belief that a high number of possible IPO investors are long or short term investors, massive dumps from the inital investors would mean that they shoot themself in the foot because they would bring the AEC value below their own investment value. The FPGA`s rolling out will make Scrypt mining just as centralised as Bitcoin mining is today. The amount of paperwork required for a venture like this is not a very heavy burden here in Sweden. We will not do any banking and the exchange will not handle any cash so by doing a bypass on those to fields of affairs we can dodge 99% of the paperwork. This is pretty much a unregualted sector, as long as we keep our paperwork in order and pay our taxes and fee`s on time there is no real roadblocks to run into. The biggest issue is to have our bank up to date about what we are doing so we can avoid issues like kapiton.se had with their with bank accounts frozen due to sheer stupidity and lack of communication with their bank. In that sector we have a massive foothold of know-how and expertise already. Other local companys are already doing what we aim to do but they only trade Bitcoin for FIAT - btcx.se, fybse.se & kaption.se - all focus on the local market, we aim globally! The fact that one member of our development team have made the decision to remain anonymous is not a ideal situation we are aware of that but it was on his demand. He is currently under contract by his employee to not conduct "equal or similar" work for someone else, the similar part is the rubber-paragraph that would most likely cost him his current job. An escrow service would be an advantage for both sides. Investors would have more secure and your coin would get much more investments because of that. Put yourself in the shoes of a real IPO investor. Now whether you are a noob or a seasoned member, if you are taking a part in the IPO, you would obviously watch the thread for new comments and announcements from the OP, etc. Scam accusations, especially when some obvious red flags are raised, tend to make them question the dev and his credibility. They would be quite concerned for their money and would voice it for sure. So far I have seen nothing of the sort here. I think all the transactions here are just them and their friends to make it seem like there are people interested and noobs especially are prone to the "they must know what they are doing, so I will follow them" mentality. I think the coinss passed around so far are their and their friends' who they will transfer back once they move along. I think they were hoping to make some panic BTC from noobs in the last few days, and that plan obviously got foiled. I guess we will know for sure at launch time if there is an angry mob with pitchforks. Title: Re: [AEC] ALTER EGO COIN - LAUNCH April 26 MINER DOWNLOAD READY Post by: majorminers on April 27, 2014, 02:30:01 PM didn't lose anything i can't afford to, and i definitely knew the risks coming in... that said, this just furthers my opinion that the whole "problem" with crypto-currency is the inability to establish trust... credit/lending/currency value/etc it's all based on trust, and if we can't establish any real trust mechanisms, all the crypto-currencies are doomed... even though seemingly unrelated, this kind of thing eats away a little more every day at the "trust" in bitcoin (the torch barer for crytpo-currencies), and that makes me sad knowing the promise this all could have. The truth is, 'crypto' didn't do this to you - one guy did. He provided no proof of anything. He made some claims and asked for people to send him money. In any other industry on earth, NO ONE would send money to such a person with such a plan. That said, losses still suck and I understand your feelings. There are a LOT of lowlifes involved in the altcoin scene. If everyone starts demanding more transparency then it can be expected. P.S. is anyone else already completely sick of seeing the 'giant turd pile' image posted on threads?
