Will Crypto live forever or die?

I am asking that question because there is a possible World WAR after many years it is because US has raised the threats for many Christian countries and it is the only who'd empowered Muslims (terrorists) against the Christian, US is a biggest enemy of Christianity Since the day one. Just imagine that US sold trillion dollar weapons to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alone who is a founder of many terrorist organizations including ISIS + Al Qaida along with the terrorists groups/organizations they created in Pakistan, US also sold weapons to Turkey + AE + Many other Muslim countries and raised a threat for Europe and many other Christian countries. The interesting thing which is seen is that that US did never raise an accountability for his weapon puppet countries like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and AE, So it is possible that all Christian countries may awake and there could be a possible WW3. If it happens then do you think that bitcoin will live anymore?

As long as internet survives, most probably the useful cryptos will survive (many projects die because they're bad or scam, that's not the point here).
However, "forever is a long time" as somebody said. I don't expect Earth or human kind survive forever. So I guess that the internet related answer covers pretty much what we need.

Surely will continue to live, even live very well. When World War 3 happened, it did not mean that the whole world lost internet or electricity. So the Crypto market is still acting like other financial markets and the supply of Bitcoin will become increasingly rare, it is possible that the war will cause the price of Bitcoin to increase even more at that time.
Not to mention when war countries will cause political conflict and economic law enforcement will also be loosened, and it's certainly time for Bitcoin to show its usefulness.

Since you are talking about   a world war I don't think it can survive if that things happen many  crypto currency will lost in circulation because of many accident that can possibly happen to the owner of that wallet.  Many people will also have problem how they can  secured storing it in a place that it can't be move or destroyed. since anything you own in that moment is can be destroy if we are talking about nuclear weapons . The possibility scenario is we will back again to gold and silver as currency.

Other possible reasons are that satellites can also be destroyed. The question about crypto to live forever is just at the beginning, opening and the end of your post. While in the middle of it, you're talking about a conspiracy. I guess you should discuss that at the Politics and Society. There will be people who will join and have a good discussion about that matter to you.

And for bitcoin's life. As long as we have internet and the miners are keep mining even if there's a war, it will continue to be alive. While for the other cryptocurrencies, it's the same as it is. The only way to completely shut crypto is to shut the internet.

I'm fine with people mixing economics and politics, but when they add religion it becomes unbearable. Christian this, Muslim that... religion has nothing to do with cryptocurrencies, just like it has nothing to do with you being born and dying, being smart or stupid, lucky or unlucky.
There will be no world war 3 OP, at least not in the traditional way. There may be a hacking war, there may be media war, a war meant to mislead people or create chaos, but nobody is going to start nuking you because people know what it means to start a nuclear war. Depend with ow supply and demand on market, when many investor togethers top for investing and trading bitcoin or altcoin I think the era of cryptocurrency have over but looks impossible with many coin worth price and have any feature of coin right now. I think still long time for bitcoin and altcoin live with many company try to make partner for bitcoin and altcoin, when have country legal bitcoin as transaction payment will give long live for bitcoin and altcoin to exist, but for altcoin you must check again which one altcoin do you have to buy and keep get touch with potential coin to buy because many trader and investor do not know which one coin have to buy.

As long as the internet connection is still running, the crypto will survive. Crypto needs an internet connection to connect, and that is what people need to use crypto still. Even if the world war happens, people will still use crypto, and maybe crypto will be the only hope for people to make a transaction. But I hope that the world war is not happening for now or in the future because that can make people get more suffers than now. We are still at the pandemic and if the world war is happening, people will die fast.

Your question can be answered in different ways. Cryoto won't die because there is currently nothing to make it die, even after years. But surly everything will evolve, just like the computer on 30 years ago, we have more evolved and developed computers right now. Maybe time after time and in the next 20 years crypto will evolve and and changes into a new face but surly this won't die. Not that much easy.

If people use it , it will stay forever , in the other case it would just decrease in price and stay in the market as some old token. (( We remember tulips don't we ))
The good thing is the crypto is entirely dependent on people and therefore one way or the other if they continue to support the cryptocurrencies , they will see a much better future and will be able to own a purely decentralized currency which innumerous benefits.
Right now as I see , the governments instead of banning cryptocurrencies are more settled on actually regulating them , which is a great thing for us. In many countries cryptocurrencies are protected by the laws and therefore the negative usage of cryptocurrencies have decreased locally.
It's not only the people but also governmental bodies which are seeing the benefits of cryptocurrencies , the casinos and gambling sites are earning them revenues even during the COVID , what else can one ask for ?

After reading your this shit post I am feeling sorry for you because nothing happening like this in near future we have no threat for war like this its all just hype and about your feeling selling of weapons to Saudi Arab and other Muslim countries its not going to use against any Christian country its all just for scrap or against inner problems which are facing by these Muslim countries for centuries.

The only thing for cryptocurrencies to die if people who buys crypto have stopped holding and buying all of it. But I think it would be unlikely to happen because many people find investing in cryptocurrency is beneficial as a long-term investment, and you are outside of government structures. I also think banning cryptocurrencies in other countries won't kill bitcoin because other people will still find a way to hold their funds.

The point is already mentioned, even if people will no longer be able to use or chose not to use cryptocurrencies, it will still exist but more likely having low market value close to zero but still, it will exist in this industry. To somewhat give an example, look at those crypto projects which are assumed to be "dead". Those cryptos are still listed and could still be searched through the use of Internet but its popularity and usage are missing. Concerning whether cryptos will die or not, we cannot really guarantee because no one is certain of how technology will evolve or develop as years are passing by.

Even if people have stopped buying cryptocurrency it will still exist and of course, there are still people who will be passionate about it. Cryptocurrency has a lot of potentials, what's more in the future? It can grow and develop until it fits the current technology we have. So for me, it will not die even there are no supporters, blockchain is a good technology and definitely, it'll be used for many things in society. We are only just starting, we can't forecast when is the ending because it's very impossible. Crypto can probably disappear soon because there will be a lot of coins that will exist in the market as we live in a more digital age. The OP seems to only want to show the propaganda he made by pretending to care about the existence of crypto.  The propaganda that you make is inaccurate if you make the news of the massive US arms sale to Muslim countries the basis of your argument.  First I want to remind you, terrorists have no religion!  don't discredit any religion as a terrorist!  Second, as long as the internet is still around, I believe cryptocurrency will survive, no matter the war.  The currency will still be used by the people, even if the war is going on.  As long as the base of internet technology persists during the war, nothing can stop crypto in society.

Firstly, I will pray hard that it wont happen because its really a horrific and more worst scenario throughout the world that we couldn't dare to imagine nor happened. However, if ever this worst crisis occur, probably Crypto currency will die if the internet connection or signal will be shutdown. But if not, we can still continue to transact and do things the usual ways which I really doubt its possible because when things gets more worst in the world, we can no longer access in the internet to avoid that "spying act" between countries to countries...I just thought so, but we cant really predict things to happen so we must all be ready always to any uncertainties.

I definitely agree that crypto will not live forever, it will be gone one day and something else will take its place. It was barter first for centuries, then gold coins were minted, then we moved to paper and now we are going digital, eventually something else will take its place.

However I also think that it will not be anytime soon, god knows maybe we will have crypto for a century, I just know that during my life time it is unlikely that something better than both fiat and crypto could appear, obviously technology is a lot faster nowadays so something coming up wouldn't take as long as moving from gold coins to paper, that took a millenia and more to happen, this would be like maybe one or two century at most but at least all my life will be with crypto.

No one can really tell if crypto is going to be around forever, but since cryptocurrency is money but in a digital form, I bet its going to be around for a very long time just like the fiat that has been there since humans started trade by barter, even though cryptocurrencies has been in existence for only 11years now, I still believe its the future money, so it's going to continue living.

Regarding crypto live forever or die, I just believe as long as the internet and the digital world exist then at least crypto will always exist but yes, if the war starts then there are many resources that will die too. That way, it is very possible that crypto will die or at least be paralyzed during the war but it will still be able to recover, but if the recovery can no longer be done then it seems that all existing assets will at least die too, because there is no longer a good economic rotation in the era of war.

The possibility of a global war among countries is on the verge to happen. Have you heard of countries recently who are "fighting" for possessions and whereabouts? Small arguments could trigger a huge one if things will not be properly handled. Going back with the existence of this technology, I think it will exist forever as long as no one will have the power to delete it, literally. It depends on how you define "live", remember that in this industry, there are cryptos considered to be "dead" from not being used. So I'd say this technology in general could 'die' if there's a global devastation on the economies, but it will forever exist.

Crypto will just continue to live as long as there are people believing on it and turns to be using it for their own good sake and into productive way as well making it circulate for usage. Also, as long as there is source of internet connection where the usage of crypto relies, it will live as long as it is needed. Regarding the speculation of world war 3 to arise based on the statements that have been stated by the OP, I think although it is possible, still there is no strong proof or evidence to conclude that a world war will arise because of those things stated. We are still into a middle of crisis so there is no place for such thing to come. If such will happen, it will surely be devastating to affect the communication towers causing loss of internet and connectivity that can postponed or stop the usage of crypto just for a while and surely after a recovery, it will arise once again.

We all have a hanging Damocles after world war 2 ever since the creation of the atomic and nuclear weapons, world war can start anytime, but we have great leaders who never wish this to happen because of the holocaust the 2 world war has brought, the third world war hopefully it will not happen, will have catastrophic effect and because it is nuclear by nature the Earth will not be livable anymore.

Are we talking about crypto dying in the sense of its usage, as a currency, or in the sense of it as an existence? Cause if it's the former, unless the war would destroy the world, then it's impossible. If it's the latter, well let's see, a war would naturally put blockades and the like in interaction between each country, and anyone traced of doing so could be locked up temporarily, but with Bitcoin, I'm pretty sure one can bypass that without being discovered. BUT, the idea of it living forever is still questionable imo, since we're quite limited in what we think right now. Heck we never know what could possibly be the next type of currency or whatever form economy would take up in the next few centuries, so saying it would live for forever is wrong.

Currently, crypto has truly embodied itself as the evolution of money over the internet as the world economy moves from real space to the internet. It can be said that we are just beginning a cryptocurrency era that started with Bitcoin. Maybe in the future cryptocurrencies will disappear but letting that happen requires a more advanced world and a better monetary solution than Bitcoin and crypto, it will be a new evolutionary step for sure will happen.

Is the question really "forever" or is it more like "will it live until I die?" because those are two different things. One of them means that crypto will be around for hundreds of years, the other means more like 60-80 years and to be frank with you the answer to both of them are very different.

One of them is near impossible, how could bitcoin survive hundreds of years when humanity is talking about how they could turn Mars into a habitable planet, after 100+ years we are not going to be even one planet species so it is near impossible for bitcoin to not get dethroned by something else. Whereas 60 years is something close, maybe another competition to crypto could come up but doesn't mean crypto will be gone neither, it would still see a lot of attention by that time.

Definitely. Let us not think that bitcoin will die anytime soon because it sounds still unrealistic for me. I believe that crypto will always be here as long as internet connection stays because it can only be operated online. Maybe if internet connection will shut down, i guess everything has come to an end. But with the present benefits we are enjoying right now, i think people are more convinced to embrace crypto more than just an investment, even as a good currency in the future.

I think it will live forever if that is what you wanted to hear but we don't know which one will live for years and years. Bitcoin is not centralized and it’s not owned by a particular entity whereby you can say that if the unit happens to get destroyed in the event of a battle that Bitcoin will be dead. Bitcoin is decentralized and powered by computers around the world, so it will continue to stay by serving all our payment and asset related requirements. When more people are in favor of adopting bitcoins then we cannot find any differences between fiats and bitcoins.

There's a big possibility of market crash, if there's a world war 3 but world war 3 is something that every country wants to avoid, because it will end every country's economic achievement, WW3 is very costly what the world achieved in the last 75 years ago will go to nothing.

When world war happens, Bitcoin will be more important. Its supply remains unchanged and no bombs can lose 1 Bitcoin.

There is no assurance, everything here in this world changes. Maybe cryptocurrency lasts too long but we can't say that it lives forever. The beginning of WW3 may dismantle cryptocurrency. After a long days of fighting in viruses, if there will become a WW3 assume that the entire economy will go down. The danger of possible war will bring catastrophe in humanity. I don't think that's a parameter in reality there is no such thing as forever in our modern world things evolve maybe Bitcoin will also evolve and we will also evolve I don't rule out the possibility that Bitcoin will be replaced but it will be some years before it will be replaced because we have to evolve and so does the technology.

Why would I say that the need to hold Bitcoin will increase when war happens? Simply because when war happens, businesses do not have a good environment for growth -> production decreases -> GDP falls -> recession or economic crisis. Firstly, I do not think World War 3 is going to happen. I believe humanity have learnt some lessons from the scars of the past wars. That is not a path any country will like to tread.
Secondly, in the event of a World War, as long as the internet is still available and electricity is not tampered with, then I believe bitcoin will not die.
Bitcoin is a Digital currency and as such can only be used over the internet. The only way bitcoin may die is if there is no internet.

I don't think anyone can answer this because what future holds for us, we would never know. Before Bitcoins I was using Liberty Reserve and I was so glad that a payment processor exists that can be used without any verification and limits. It was later seized and closed then I got into Bitcoins and I love the idea because no one can control or seize it but there are going to be various other inventions in future and there is no reason why something better than Bitcoins cannot be developed.

The future of BTC depends on 2 things mainly:

1- Creation of something better than BTC and hence replacing it forever.
2- A mistake in the code or bug or quantum computers destroying the whole encryption system.

Cryptocurrency will live forever. More and more adoption is happening along with true rise in the usage of bitcoin on regular needs. With time the market is getting matured. More the usage, more will be the growth. Now the same is happening with bitcoin. Possibly we can expect more countries to legalize the usage. Anyway the usage of bitcoin keeps the bitcoin and the network live forever.

Everything has to die one day, and when one day we will find some technology better than blockchain, then surely we will migrate to that. World is dynamic and it's better that way! This all depends on fiat as well. As long as fiat is the standard, crypto will live together with it. I do see humanity becoming a lot more technologically advanced enough to stop using both crypto and fiat, I see humanity using machines to produce food whenever they want and have a world where nobody need resources ever again, that is of course at least 100+ years away but with the advancements in the world, if someone wants an apple, they will just push a button and an apple will be produced for them, like high-tech futuristic movies, because it looks more and more possible.

Bitcoin will live forever I believe, but just like people said in the past, when the internet became a thing and when dotcom bubble happened, we all knew that it wasn't really a "bubble" because some companies would have survived and made money.

During that dotcom bubble we had amazon go down historically and it was one of the hundreds of companies that became worth nearly nothing at all, while all others went down and became nothing, amazon became one of the biggest companies in the whole world right now, because it stuck with the idea and didn't cared about what people pay for its stock price or assumed what it was and they got super rich thanks to it in the end. Basically crypto will have a lot of bubble bursts that will destroy many coins but in the end few will survive and get be more than we can imagine.

That escalated too quickly but I'm not sure if there will be a world war or a war of the entire country because I'm sure everyone learned the cause and effect of having a world war. Do you think other countries will participate if ever someone started a war? And of course, Bitcoin will definitely continue to work because there are people who keep doing some transaction. What comes to my mind first was that, could money ever die or disappear one day? No, the answer is capital NO. Because back to history there has been different means of Exchange. It first started with trade and batter. Where you bring what you have in exchange for what you need. And a time came when the realized that there were cheating in the dealings. They have to come with other means. Which resulted to money. From the era of only coins to when paper money era. Now comes the digital money. Which will all call digital currencies. When World War 3 came, I thought Crypto in general and Bitcoin in particular were still alive and even stronger.  Think about it, when war comes, bombs and bombs will destroy our physical possessions.  Houses, gold, and cash can all be lost.  But with cryptocurrency, it is non-physical and will never be affected, it even helps people retain assets when people just buy the coin and hold it in the cold wallets.

As far as I know, currencies are not affected during the past wars. It is not that economies stop during wars and the value of currencies or fiat is going flat. Stocks would obviously be affected, the market would obviously be affected but despite that, besides the fact that the cryptocurrency market will also be affected, I don't think it will die.

Some countries might be affected if the lines of their internet connections will damage as total wrecked out, that will really hurt bitcoiners

If the war that occurs destroys the network center in the country, it might affect Bitcoin, without the internet how people can transact.  But if it said it was going to kill Bitcoin, it would be hard to happen.  Because the concept of the word kill is tantamount to negating Bitcoin, even though Bitcoin has spread on the network.  Even if the war destroyed the internet, say.  But every country will still rebuild and Bitcoin will still be able to be traded again.

Lack of access to the internet can cause the coin's, value to plummet, especially if this happens all at once. So say, a global meltdown of the internet itself is gonna cost it its life, although it is very unlikely. Until you remember that cryptocurrencies aren't behaving the same as your regular stocks. See, the less people accessing the internet, the less important bitcoin becomes. After all, that means it's a matter of belief or religion so I don't think it has anything to do with crypto dead or living forever. If this is about the existence of crypto for a long time or not then the factor is not only in terms of religion, at least there are many other factors such as market wars and other powers. It is possible because quantum computers if ever released so fast that the bitcoin system could be outphased by the said computer then bitcoin as an encrypted message being solved in calculation coule be outsmarted by strong computer. This can kill bitcoin if bitcoin could not able to adapt the hashing power of the new strong computer if ever there will like the computer they projected which is the quantum computer. Anyway, almost it is also impossible to create a computer that strong and I think it will not going to happen in instant rather it will be a development process.

I think crypto will not die, but it will evolve over time and eventually Bitcoin might get replaced by something better. The fact that bitcoin is limited to 21 million coins and small amounts will constantly be lost over time (due to abandonment by owners for a variety of reasons) will cause too much restriction. There are innovations that can avoid transaction fees, but if Bitcoin is no good for the vast majority of the world population it will only end up being used by fewer and fewer rich people. Super-computers are getting more and more efficient and at some point in the future they will be able to crack the Bitcoin private keys. This may not happen immediately, but once the private keys become obsolete, Bitcoin (and most of the other cryptocurrencies) will die a natural death. Jokes aside, I believe crypto will not live forever in the current form. Bitcoin (as we know it now) will be gone once quantum computers become a daily reality for us as a regular smartphone in the pocket. However, the concept and idea, and potential implications are really great, therefore crypto will be evolving to some other form (quantum-protected crypto (yes, I know there are already some), state-run crypto, corporate-run crypto, or something else).

Many have in fact made that observation before, bitcoin could become the new gold which is used mostly as a store of value but not used much in transactions at all, if this comes to happen then there is still an opportunity for another good coin to appear and that specializes in having really fast confirmation times, cheap transactions and a larger supply, in essence this coin will become the silver of this market, for a long time people believed litecoin will be that coin but I do not believe it has that potential anymore.

We can relate this to gold. In the oldest times, gold has been used as money and until now it is existing as a store of value. For crypto, it's being used as both. But in the future, there could only be one use to it and that would likely be as a store of value.

Yes, even in the countries where bitcoin is ban or limited still lot of people can do access or utilize bitcoin. This is one of the fact that has been stated by so many bitcoiners or bitcoin enthusiasts. Nothing is eternal in this world and that is a fact. As you said, bitcoin requires support from all parties to become a valuable asset and is also useful as both a payment system and a tradable asset. I assume that bitcoin will continue to exist even though no one will ever use it. But what is worthless is useless and will be left behind. Until now, there were no signs that bitcoin would become useless and the community continued to grow over time.

I think it will not. Because it is the future of currency. But who knows it may collapse in some point of near future. But Iit Won't happen as far as i can say from my experience. But anything can happen. It may collapse but it is also possible it may start a new era of human development. Everything depends on what people need in their life. Strongly agree with this. Been talking about crypto currencies in my class in the past month and they've been asking me what it is. The time I told them about bitcoin, they knew about it and immediately told me that some of them we're scammed by it. It turns out that they are scammed by investments told that they are investing in bitcoin then ran their money not directly bitcoin.

The vulnerabilities remain, despite the steeply rising exchange rates. SegWit and Lightning have failed to resolve the scalability issue. Users are facing a lot of hardship, as a result of sky high transaction fee and delays in confirmation. Hardly anyone is using Bitcoin as a currency nowadays because of this reasons. And we can't ignore this, because Satoshi Nakamoto had originally designed Bitcoin as a currency.

Bitcoin do have its own flaws but can really be handled out even if Segwit and LN doesn't really get that much of recognition but still their existence is relevant.
