Title: Paxful withdrawal
Post by: OmegaStarScream on November 22, 2020, 06:32:34 PM
A friend of mine has a Paxful account but he can't seem to be able to withdraw his funds. The "Send" button is just greyed out.

I tried to lookup online but couldn't find much. He only have about 15-20$ inside the account but I doubt that's the reason (see the fees page) (https://paxful.com/support/en-us/articles/360013609793-Paxful-fees#h_01EJ68PRYNTPXRGMXWB9FCRZEF).

His account is not verified but that shouldn't be problematic either, since he never traded more than 1000$. Any thoughts?

Isn't your friend from a country which is in OFAC list?

List of banned countries, OFAC (https://paxful.com/support/en-us/articles/360013470374)

There are two lists in this article.
People from the first list are banned.
People from the second list are not banned, but they need to verify their account.

I haven't ever used Paxful off course, I just made a google search.

Thanks for the reply... But no, that's not the case. I don't even think that one can verify his phone number and account if he's from these countries.

It appears that the problem was related to the account not being verified, support's email:

Code:
Thanks for reaching us and we apologize for the delayed response as we are receiving high volume of queries.

It looks like you’ve reached your account Send from Wallet Limit.
To increase your limit and to continue trading on the Paxful platform, you’ll need to verify your ID. Just head over to this link to get started.

I was pretty sure that limits were related to the account's trading volume and not the withdrawal but it seems like they're are based on both[1] (possibly something that was added only recently)...

Something similar to what exists on PayPal, although their limit for total account turnover is $2500, after which they block the account and ask for a complete KYC. Interestingly, Paxful only asks for an ID for a limit of up to $10 000, and if someone verifies the address, they even get a $50 000 limit.

Although your friend has a relatively small amount in the account, here on the forum I read really ugly stories from people who have been blocked by fairly large amounts for some really weird reasons.
