Title: Had you sold your Bitcoins ?
Post by: Bitcoin-Pro on December 29, 2020, 01:23:26 PM
I already sold out all my Bitcoins, and other crypto.

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.

What about you?

Well it is your choice to sell although i think there is still a bit more time before the bear will visit the market but your dream of seeing btc back to $6000 may not come to pass, btc will definitely correct down but to as low as 6k! i highly doubt that.

The alts season have not even started yet and you already sold all your alts! so far only btc has been in performance without alts moving along side, i think there will be alts season before the market will return to bear mode, if there won't be any, this will definitely be hard on alts holders like me  :'(

whales are buying they are not selling, think.

how we can make sure whales are buying not selling?
we only read this on news, but we don't know what they are doing actually under the table.

Nope I'm still holding right now, only sell some little percentage. I will hold until my goals reached, probably it's $50,000 (I hope it will happen)

No problem it's your choice, if you think you're okay to sold it for $27,000-$28,000 then sold it, you'll regret if you not do that.

Bitcoin in bullish season, I don't think it will hit below $10,000-$15,000 in the next year. There's strong resistance and have chance to break new ATH again.

Happy to know that you made more than 4x profit but if you could have waited I guess you would have made more as the market is still in bull mode, BTC is waiting for upper trend and the next resistance may be 30k+

Anyway congrats for what you did and you deserve it for your patience and make sure this time you will buy more and hold like you did now.

Nope. I stick to my plan and sell just when I need the money, and continue stacking sats as per usual regardless of price.

As for this..

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.
I actually think it's more risky to not own any bitcoin in this day and age; but I wish you the best of luck(assuming it actually goes back down to $6000 lol).

Sold all in 2015 and bought what I really needed then. Was lucky to buy some again at 250 - 600 which I still keep. :)

I have already sold small amounts, because I believe in continuous selling, as I started accumulating my coins in 2016. It's already a huge profit for me, and it's a profit I definitely don't want to miss out on. But selling all coins today is risky, there's no guarantee that the next bottom will be lower than the current price - we're still so early in the bull run.

It's never a bad thing to exit with a profit, but if your goal is to re-enter this market, selling now might be not very optimal.

You are easy to satisfy that's why you decide to sell right now, some will surely say you sell too early but crypto investment is all about goals and target, if you have one you will know when to quit or exit before things go wrong, you did the right thing

In my opinion, there is no need to sell bitcoins until the central bank currencies (CBDCs) are created.  On the other hand, when the digital dollar, digital euro, etc. are introduced, the Cash currency will be canceled.

This provides certain benchmarks for a hypothetical best moment to sell Bitcoin.

That being said, I'm not sure that Bitcoin should be sold at all.  It is not yet clear to me how CBDC and Bitcoin will interact.

But I am sure that modern fiat money is unreliable and will depreciate.

I don't think it will be back again to $6000 dollar it's almost impossible to happen . Unless many whales sell it, good decision to sell it now since there might be a correction tohappen any time soon. but to be honest the price you want to buy it is too far I don't even see the price to go back to 20k$ below so if we're you I will buy on that range.

Looks like it’s game over for you newbie. Bitcoin is never going to 4 figures in USD again. You made a big mistake, I’d advise you to buy back now before it goes up any more. We’re at the start of the next bull cycle, never sell at the start of a bull cycle.

your decision isn't too early, but will you be strong enough to resist the temptation if bitcoin goes crazy? :)
I'm the same as you, the difference is that I still have some bitcoins set aside for some time to come, and other altcoins are still left today. There is still a long way to go, that the road on which bitcoin will not continue to climb, there will be times when it will meet a path that is down and flat as well.
isn't that simple enough and makes sense?

Everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their property, it’s just a matter of how smart it is or not. My personal view (not financial advice) is that now is not the time for what you have done unless you need money for something, and you had no choice. Although anything is possible in the crypto world, looking back we can see that the post-halving period has been the most successful so far in terms of price - and there's no reason it shouldn't be this time as well.

Consequently, next year should be very successful in this regard, and even if there are some significant corrections (say 50%), it will mean that the bottom will be formed above $10 000 compared to the current price. I have the same tactics as mk4, I only sell when I want to buy something I can't afford otherwise - I keep everything else for another time when I may not have to sell at all - I consider BTC far more valuable and reliable than any other currency.

I agree that 6,000 may be a dream destined not to come through but buying immediately because we want to catch up for profit is not a proper business plan. Waiting for the correction can be okay and more down is proper to make a come back to hodl because bitcoin is flying more by next year.

I respect your decision is, just because you have the right to decide whatever you want in your Bitcoin holding.  If you think that you have profited since you have bought your Bitcoin then, that is fine but I don't agree when Bitcoin turns to $6k again, it seems impossible that it will happen because as for me, we're already on the medium exchanges that Bitcoin becomes on the mainstream.  More and more people having the awareness of Bitcoin since there are few institutions that had accepted Bitcoin.

If you are going to ask me, I held some of my Bitcoin.  The half was sold and the other half for a long term investment and put into my cold wallet.  I understand why most holders as of now sell their Bitcoin, during holidays we need financial assistance, and selling Bitcoin is very common and the best opportunity while we are in the bull market.

I have sold a half when its price touched $25.000 yeah taking a profit when we are trading or investing is an important thing to do. At least it will make especially me comfortable when I hold the rest of my asset. So, when its price go below than I expected I still get a profit and I can enjoying it. The second target to sell my bitcoin is $30.000 and seem like it will be achieved next year.

You have an extreme prediction, I don't think bitcoin will fall to $6000 when the correction come. Indeed, the previous bull run has made its price plunge to $3500, many people sold their bitcoin until there are many people who said that bitcoin was dying and they're wrong about it. However the current bull run seem like different other, the investor still keep their bitcoin and buy in a high price as well. There are so many factors and the important thing is many investor have considered that bitcoin is safe for investing.

You sold your Bitcoin and other crypto at the price you like, well, that's your wish. But I can't agree with your expectation that Bitcoin will go to $6,000 next year. The cryptocurrency market is now much more established than before, institutional investment in the market is now much higher; Therefore, there is no possibility of a collapse in the market like in 2017/18. Even if the market corrects, in my opinion, the price of Bitcoin will not go below $20K. And the prices of other cryptocurrencies have not risen much; That will probably happen early next year.

I have (and have had) faith in the long term benefits of bitcoin and that more and more people will realize them.

I would be surprised if it ever gets down to 6K again - it could happen, just seems less likely with every passing day.  There are still people who wanted to buy "when it gets back down below $1" or "below $30" or "below $100/$1000/$2000" and enough people realized that (a) bitcoin is getting more and more solid and likely to remain so as time progresses (e.g. 2010 or 2013 it was much more experimental than 2020), and (b) more people are coming into the market to protect themselves.  Every new high there are people say they'll rebuy when it gets to $X again, most don't or it never gets down there again.

There are no guarantees of course, but every year that bitcoin survives increases the odds that it will be a long term success.

I also sell my bitcoin for around 27,000k$ and I don't think it a bad idea because we already surpass the ATH of bitcoin and still able to reach around 27k$ which is in my opinion too high already.

Bitcoin has so many solid investors and high demand in the market so we could always expect for the market price to pump very high, but we could always expect for the price to dump at some point not just continuously pumping because for sure there are some short term investors that like to sell their bitcoin when the market price is high and then sell when the market price is low not just buying and then holding for long term.

The demand is surely higher than the last time so I don't think the market price is gonna fall to 6000k$ easily for me the correction is about 10k$-20k$.

I have sold some but most of my holdings are still in my wallet as I expect BTC to pump again and have new ATH above $30k, as you can see that $26k is playing a good support and soon it will break the resistance and hit the ATH again.

i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.
Then, you may not hold bitcoin anymore in your lifetime.

That is the beauty of this market, you are completely free to do whatever you want, in my opinion you sold too early since there is still room for explosive growth in the market but this is not a terrible place to sell, however where I think you are definitely wrong is in your objective of buying when the price reaches 6k, according to my data and my analyzes that level is gone for good, if anything I will be surprised if the price goes below 10k ever again.

Well, selling is really about the decision of most HODLers. Its not just a public opinion that would be needed to be followed since some users would like to just HODL their Bitcoin for who knows how long. Selling Bitcoin is a matter of financial help and you would only sell it if you can gain profit. Hoping for Bitcoin to fall at that value is really not possible but nobody knows what would happen but its value right now is really high and no one knows on when it will decline so I guess, I will keep HODLING!!.

Its your coins, so its up to you on when you would sell out your coins and also we do have our own views and perceptions towards the market.
Thing here is that you do make out money or profits which is the most important thing when we do deal with this market. In question if i do sold mine?
Yes, i sold mine but only into those coins which are intended for short term purposes and since i do have some stash for long term run then
it doesnt really count because i do only focus on short term and then accumulate some of profits to long term and the rest will be spent out
to expenses.

I sold mine when it reaches $27k in the market and that's price is really enough for me.

So I just felt that bitcoin will not reach a $30k mark this year because I think that $27k is really that high for the amount of profit that I'm aiming for.

I'm planning to buy again when price hits $7k to $9k again, it is your own decision if you will sell it right now or never.

I personally am not sure the price of bitcoin touches 6k again, because with the increase so high it is possible for the lowest value to be at least above 10k. I just hope like that but maybe it will still be lower than that, but I'm not sure it will touch the value you mentioned because after all, the ATH is still uncertain and I personally will still wait to sell at a higher price. Selling some I think will be fine, but I don't want to sell them all now because I'm sure the price will still keep going higher.

Yes, I sold my bitcoin because there is no more patience left in my mind and my body.

I'm scared that bitcoin might go lower and lower and it becomes too late to sell it in the market that's why I advanced my actions.

It is pretty worth it for me and I don't have any regrets selling at a price of $25k even if it reached $27k these past few days.

I agree. Bitcoin reaching $6000 is just wishful thinking. At the rate is going now, even if it drops the new level might be well between 10-15K or even higher. These things are never certain for sure but you can get an insight from what's been happening with the market.

In my opinion, taking out all your crypto holdings now is just 'madness'. The Alt season is just about to start and Bitcoin could still do better. That's just my opinion, of course!

Im still waiting for 50% of my bitcoin and I have sold it when it's almost touching 28k. I don't wanna try to bet a lot into the risk caused by the price of bitcoin can be plunged anytime. Im still waiting for the next ATH to be reached in the future. I do believe the big dump will occur after the pump will end.

Well, yes. I sold my bitcoins. But unlike you, I didn't sell all of them but just a part of it whenever I feel it's right or whenever I deem it necessary. I did that primarily because it's holiday season and I want to give presents to others from my earnings in bitcoin.

After selling for such, I'm back to continuously holding and earning btc regardless of what price it may be. We all have varying reasons when it comes to our bitcoin and I totally respect you for yours.

I have sold some of my crypto but only when I need to make bill payments or if I want to buy something and they will accept Bitcoin as payment.

It is so risky that I am nervous if I see a big price drop and I make regrets for not selling and buying into the dip afterwards.

Even at times when I feel we are in a Bull run and there is going to be a correction at some points I still try not to sell any even if I can make a easy profit.

I did the same as you although a lot went from being sold although the purchases are worth it. I do not regret selling it, after all, I had to stick to the line that I had drawn on where and when to sell my coins. I would buy a lot when the bull run ends just like OP. Holidays are the weakness of the many, good thing that I am not that materialistic when it comes to spending when it is holiday, most of my expenses are items that will grow in value when sold and such.

I already sold my bitcoin below $20k because I need money for some urgent situations and buy my daily needs. But I still hold the rest of my bitcoin on my wallet and the other wallet. I want to hold more bitcoin and not sell if the price does not touch more than $30k because I will make a lot of money at that price. I still want to buy bitcoin, but I will not directly buy bitcoin if the price is at a peak because I can not make a profit by doing that.

selling bitcoin for $ 27k to $ 28k is a good moment, but remember that many institutions buy Bitcoin at a high price,
of course this is still bullish, I have sold 20% of my capital at $ 27k, but there are still targets to achieve that is $ 30k, and $ 50k in long term view.
so don't sell all the bitcoins you have so you can follow this bullish trend until it reaches its peak.

A bitcoin price of $ 25,000 or $ 30,000 seems high to us.  And this is not surprising, since we are crypto enthusiasts who have seen Bitcoin at a price of $ 3,000 and below.

It seems to us that no sane person would buy bitcoin for $ 40,000 or $ 50,000.  This is a false opinion.

A wealthy investor can feel comfortable buying bitcoin at a high price.  Especially if he sees that his friends and acquaintances are actively buying this financial asset.

For many people, the trigger goes off - a high price equals high value and significance.

I already sold out all my Bitcoins, and other crypto.

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.

What about you?

If you wait 6k correction to buy again bitcoin, then you may not be able to buy bitcoin again at all. Say it corrects to 6k, so what now? Did we expect to rise the price again. If that so, perhaps there will possibly some attacks happened on bitcoin network and everyone including institutions are all selling and backing down unto their portfolio to avoid further risk. Perhaps that's the case if this current price will drive back to 6k, IMO.

Well the best thing to do right now is somehow accumulate bitcoin or sats of it and hodl until you need to withdraw. But don't sell all out. The best hasn't yet to be seen for bitcoin despite ath. Perhaps it can go further to 50k next year or so.

I am sure majority are holding on to their coins to see the rally next year and if you think about how the market rallies in the past then we would see the highest valuation by the second quarter next year and i will be booking my profit during that time. There is nothing wrong in booking your profits earlier as you are happy with the profit and you are not willing to risk if the market goes down and i am sure you are happy with your profit ;).

This might be short but I hope it will help you.

I just want to share I spend my bitcoins this year and saw that bitcoin skyrocketed so I was sad but when I saw the prediction I was hesitant that I decided to buy bitcoin and earn money to buy bitcoin.

So if I were you, do some more research and read more of the opinions here, and when your guts tell you to buy go buy because my guts tell me that bitcoin base on protection and words form bitcoin holders here at the forums. So it's a good thing you ask for more especially on the trading discussion it might help you to decide but ask a different topic but related to your curiosity.

but I always remember patience so make sure to invest a little big one and stay in a long-term option for next year up to the end of the year.

I have sold it, but not all in. Some are still held for the next bullish price of Bitcoin itself.
Well, BTC $6k? Well, actually, this ever happened, but I don't think that this bad nightmare really will reoccur again in the crypto world. Moreover, right now, the ATH is higher than previously. STill hope that there will be another ATH in 2021.

I already sold some of it since I needed it for my necessities and since it's the holiday season but I keep holding my coins. I only sold what I needed and I have no plans of selling all of it so I will continue to hold. I understand if you are afraid of taking a risk when the opportunity is already here, and since it's your bitcoin, after all, it's your choice. But we're also not sure if bitcoin would go down to $6000 this year, so will you still buy if it did not reach your expected price?

It's entirely your right to sell or not. If you feel like your investment has been profitable, it doesn't hurt to sell. We all can't even predict the market with certainty and it was over 10 years before today. People may advise you to hold bitcoins for some time, but you have the absolute right to decide whether to do so or not. Your Bitcoin is your bank, so always consider everything before you make a decision.

Maybe 20% off my bitcoin i already sold them because of christmas and birthday also for new year i need to celebrate and treat my family well with good foods even this crisis they need to celebrate and feel the seasons with love and happiness, i don't care about the price if its go down or goes up it is up to those people who had bit contribute in bitcoin industry if they will pump or dump some of their coins, If your thinking that bitcoin will going down by next year i don't think it will happens since the christmas pass bitcoin doesn't move a bit and it was stable at the moment. If you can make another profit from another coin then it is good idea to save them for the next year price volume increase and that's for sure.

You are still very early with your decision because if you are in the crypto world for a long time already then you can surely notice that we are not yet at the middle of the bull season so the price of bitcoin will continue to surge for sure until it will hit it's peak.

But I cannot blame you if that is your decision as you have exited with a profit for sure if I am not mistaken, your decision to buy again at $6k is not that bad but what I can assure you is that it will not happen for sure by next year as the chances that the bull season to fully happen is targetted by next year.

I rather sold a little portion and took out small profits while keeping a maximum portion on hold as I believe bitcoin still has room to grow.

I would say you made a right decision if you don't want to risk but you could have set a target to sell when Bitcoin drops more than $1000 and by this way your loss will be lesser bt if the value of Bitcoin increases further then your profit will be more. Anyways, you made a wise decision if you don't wanna risk and I think possibilities of bitcoin dropping down to $6000 again is something which I don't think might happen in near future.

What if that $6,000 never comes? How are you so sure that it might hit "maybe next year"? So, if the price never falls below the expected level, I guess you will never buy bitcoin, but why though? Is it because you think the current price is "too expensive" to afford? In that case, why not just buy fractions? Maybe get $6,000 worth of bitcoin? Is it because you think its too late and chances are its going to crash? In that case, you better stay off and at least be prepared not to regret when you see the price increase further.

Got them when they were low, at around 1k and sold them for like ~4k. lately I felt FOMO considering recent price hike so I went again and bought some back. This time I'm not sure whether I'd sell them or not. Probably would hodl for as long as I can.

It's your choice if you want to find it safe by selling all the Bitcoin and altcoins you have. But if you really know the crypto world,
very pity you do that. Because there is still a possibility that next year the Bitcoin price will still rise even higher and will not drop
to a price of $ 6000. If this happens then you will regret it, I did not do what you did. Because in my opinion you should only sell
part of the Bitcoin and altcoins that you have, and some remain in HODL.

Also 2 years ago, I sold my bitcoin. Although I didn't have 1 bitcoin but I did able to sell all that I have. And yes, I also wondering what will be my profit if I sell it today than yesterday. But look, the main point is that you need some money, and you need to earn because of who knows, emergency. Still, the price last 2 years when we sold our bitcoin is good. Although is not that high as today, still earned some peofit though. Anyways, selling bitcoins or other coins is depends on a person. Yesterday the value was also good and for us it is a high time. In that money, I able to but all the things that I want and things that I need. I also able to share it to my parents and siblings. Today, I always wondering things about my old savings yet I push myself to work hard today so that I able to have savings again. Besides yesterday's earning is a profit.

Looks like it’s game over for you newbie. Bitcoin is never going to 4 figures in USD again. You made a big mistake, I’d advise you to buy back now before it goes up any more. We’re at the start of the next bull cycle, never sell at the start of a bull cycle.

I agree that 6,000 may be a dream destined not to come through but buying immediately because we want to catch up for profit is not a proper business plan. Waiting for the correction can be okay and more down is proper to make a come back to hodl because bitcoin is flying more by next year.
On which analysis is the price retracing to $6K? the truth is that the price might never reach that a price again maybe the price might be corrected to $24K however that is just a speculation the present price outlook seems the bulls had already taken over the market completely for a longer term perspective, the price is presently above $29K and those who sold now have nothing to lose likewise those who are hodling are also taking a risk that is worth taking who knows where the price will reach in 2021? institutional adoption of bitcoin is growing daily basis.

Good, you can sell bitcoin at the current price if you want, so you can make a big profit from bitcoin. But it is okay if you want to still your bitcoin and will sell bitcoin if the price reaches more than $30k. Right now, many people who have bitcoin are happy because they can recover the losses that they have from a long time ago. But some others got losses because they miss the chance to sell bitcoin at a high price.

Just today, I sold BTC0.05 from my stash for around $1,400. I have been doing this for the last 2-3 years now. Back in 2018, I decided that every year I will be selling around 20% of my coins. But the prices were really low in 2018 and 2019, and this meant that if I had held on to those coins, then I would have got better returns. But I have no regrets. I still have plenty of coins remaining in my wallet.

This is arguably the long term investment you have made and it does happen, and you are bound to enjoy what you have been doing for a long time. it is not easy to be able to hold back when the price has gone up in order to keep up until the very right time.

Good, you can sell bitcoin at the current price if you want, so you can make a big profit from bitcoin. of course what you inform him is certainly very useful because indeed what you predict is not much different from what I thought. I even predict that for the value of $ 30K bitcoin can quickly reach after next year. no need to be afraid to rush to sell it and don't hesitate to lose the moment you say that you don't sell when the price is high.
instead, bitcoin will make a fantastic move and will give rise to renewable ATH again. it might even be several times bigger than 2017.

Are you sure Bitcoin price is $6000 next year, what if Bitcoin price next year is $50,000.

If you have already sold your Bitcoin at this time it is better for you, however, if I may suggest you now can trade daily/weekly and also hourly (buy/sell).
However, before you do that, you must understand market conditions and analyze Bitcoin developments over time, its ups and downs.

But if you are in doubt do not do it is high risk, if you are sure and like I said it's better if you understand it.

Wow! This is an amazing one on considering on how long you do able to held up your coins until this very moment. Only a few for sure who do able to buy

when bitcoins price was still on 3k wayback into those years yet majority are surely in doubts and fear on that time. You are now reaping the fruits or on the result of your long patience
and the risk you had take of those times, that isnt something that someone can really do into those days.

But I do not know what will happen tomorrow since bitcoin price has much time to increase from day by day. The circulation and awareness of bitcoin makes it to be more appropriated as many are buying and selling bitcoin. You should be more concerned as a bitcoin enthusiasts on how to get more bitcoin for the future and for trade.

And what if it keeps going up to 35000 and so on? Are you going to buy back OP?

I read many stories of how people did that in 2017. They bought at 1000 when the ATH was broken and sold at 3000 then bought back at 5000 and sold at 6000 because they thought it would be the last move. Then they bought at 8 thinking it would finally drop at 10 but it didn't.

You don't realize how many important round numbers there were in 2017 that people believe the price would stop at until you look at the charts in a small scale.

No and I am not going to sell until it hits as a minimum the 50.000 dollars per bitcoin which is not very far seeing the price is almost 30.000 dollars now.I like to wait as I think that after a few years the bitcoin price of 300.000 up to 1 mln dollars will not be a distant dream like maybe it is now.I think after this bull run we will see a massive crash before we go to 50-100k dollars in the end of this just started year of 2021.

With the price of Bitcoin reaching $ 29,000, it is better if our Bitcoin is sold. Delaying selling Bitcoin can eliminate opportunities for profit.
Because at any time the price of Bitcoin will fall, we must remember what happened in 2017-2018. I have also sold part of the Bitcoin that
I have, and partially I HODL it in anticipation that the Bitcoin price will continue to rise.

That seems obvious. The last 2017 event gives me something to learn and I don't want to lose the opportunity that I have this time again and yes, I did.
Yeah, those who sold their Bitcoins lately or when the price hitting at $20k, they will not buy at this point but to wait until the market dump again and buy. That is how basic trading works here. We can make a risk at this new ATH coz probably dumps will follow. This gonna be the best thing to do.

I usually sell Bitcoins when it goes up and buy back when Bitcoin falls, because I don't have a lot of capital and can't hold Bitcoin for a long time, besides I mainly trade Bitcoin. I find Bitcoin very sensitive so Bitcoin is $34.000 at the moment, the price of Bitcoin is huge.

Bitcoin price reached $ 34,000.

It seems to me that it is not worth selling your bitcoins right now.  What is Bitcoin Selling?  This is an exchange of bitcoins for fiat money.

However, paper money is currently unreliable.  Many countries have announced the creation of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs).  This means that there is currently a transition from one financial system to another.  In this situation, the rise in bitcoin is inevitable.

Determining the likely ATH is very difficult.  In my opinion, this information cannot be obtained by analyzing graphs.

At least some of the long term holders may be taking advantage of the current rally and booking profits. I am also liquidating a small part of my holdings. Early adopters like me purchased the coins, when they were extremely cheap. So it really doesn't matter whether Bitcoin is going to rally for another 6 months or not. But those who have very small holdings, need to hold on to their coins for at least one more year.

Well said, But 6000$ is a very cheap price of Bitcoin.
Now the price of the bitcoin is above 34000$ and makes its ATH. What a massive pump in few months.
The early investors are getting good profits through this Bitcoin rally.
I have also sold all my bitcoins at very cheap prices.

I am still holding some of my funds in bitcoin, I am still looking forward that bitcoin could still go up, I only pull it out when I needed money but its just a little bit because I still want to invest it for a long term or until it reaches my certain standard. Your expectation about going down about $6000 is not quite possible and I don't think that it would happen again just like the year 2017, but that's your prediction and expectation and no one knows what will happen in the future.

I understand why you are afraid but at the same time it does not change the fact you sold too early, bitcoin is trading at 32k which means you missed a significant amount of profits, when it comes to strong tendencies that present themselves in the market from time to time it is a better idea to keep riding the market as much as you can and never sell to early, I know it is hard but it is the only way to make sure you obtain as much profits as possible when the bull run comes.

You do not call other people a fool when they sell their belongings in exchange for their daily necessities. The decision to sell does not belong to someone else but only to the people who own that crypto or money. Anytime is a good time to sell as long as you have something to do with it and buying right now is not the best idea that people or new users can have since there can be a lot of ways to earn Bitcoin slowly.

Even I have own think about bitcoin possible value of it I do not sure if it's really going to happen. Converting your bitcoin in real money is really good but hoping to hold the others to get more profit if the bitcoin price is pump more. The $6000 per bitcoin is impossible to happen now and I think it takes time to dump the price.

Already as of now sold little sums, since I accept in ceaseless offering, as I begun amassing my coins in 2018. It's as of now a colossal benefit for me, and it's a benefit I certainly do not need to miss out on. But offering all coins nowadays is hazardous, there's no ensure that another foot will be lower than the current cost, we’re still so early within the bull run. It's never a awful thing to exit with a benefit, but in the event that your objective is to re-enter this market, offering presently may be not exceptionally ideal.

Sold it when it hit my price target at $16k, but sadly it took off. I've never anticipated that it will break higher prices because i thought it was due to dump after a massive rally. But it just go sideways for a few days and eventually gotten at $18k that's where i've bought back in. After it successfully reclaimed former resistance turned to support at the $18k level.
I got caught my emotion also when it reaches $19,000 something, I was expecting that it will stop then but we all get shocked and surprised, and we are wrong with our prediction. However, it was not a loss for me because it almost doubling my money since I bought it when the price is bat $10,000 but somewhat feel regrets.

Anyway, it was just life in crypto, can't be sure of anything in the future but at least we can still make money for our investment and we never suffered losses unlike if we never sell it and it dumps, that is the big problem.

If you've taken a lot of profit by selling it, that's good and not a problem, you just have to wait for bitcoin for a deeper correction, but I'm not sure
if  bitcoin  will come  back as low  as  $6K.  Yesterday   even  bitcoin  experienced a    correction   to  $28K,  not   deeper.  But I  can't  be  sure  if
there will be another correction until it reaches $20K, maybe it's low enough if the correction doesn't reach $6K. You could  consider it.  But I don't
want to advise you. That's up to you.

The alts season have not even started yet and you already sold all your alts! so far only btc has been in performance without alts moving along side, i think there will be alts season before the market will return to bear mode, if there won't be any, this will definitely be hard on alts holders like me  :'(

I also hope so, and of course for altcoins to be bullish means that bitcoin must be stable first. So far, we've seen altcoins in green in almost every market, and this is certainly an opportunity not to be missed.

Had done the same thing where i had need to pull off some of my profits for paying up my house mortgage too and same goes with my car mortgage too
and the rest will be kept for long term aspect but cant be sure if it would really be held up more yet i have already gradually getting those parts by parts.
Well,as long this run wont stop then i would really be getting sufficient amount to pay off my obligations.

You're not the only one who sold their BTCs. And surely, you're not the only one with regrets. But you cannot blame yourself. Sometimes, the price is just unpredictable and you just can't really know when will it hit the highest or when it will crash. So the tendency is you sell whenever you feel the time is right. But, there's always a next time where you can earn again and then sell at a better time. As long as you gained, you still have something to be grateful for.

Absolutely, if you really want to make some profits, you should do buy low and sell high, we all know that. The price of bitcoin is really that high and good enough to sell your holdings, and then wait for the time that the price will fall again and that is the time for you to buy some bitcoin again and sell it when the price hits new ATH. for me, as long as you happy with your profit you may sell it anytime that you want, it doesn't matter. I will try to buy it once it will dip again and hold it for as long as I can do, maybe this year it will go down maybe not too much but I will try to buy some when it reaches 22k or 20k this year or maybe 16k if ever, it will all depends on the chart that we are using, so right now I am building my portfolio and trying to gain more so that when the right time comes, I will have money to buy.

Well, if you believed that bitcoin price will continue to grow up this year and at the end of the year will create again a new ATH, it is an OP decision to invest or what. Because sometimes it is hard to decide and make decisions especially if we get afraid to lose. But if you will truly believe bitcoin, of course, you will spend your money investing in bitcoin and hold your rest of bitcoin in your wallet and never convert this into fiat which is the common method of getting profit. However, it seems to invest is a sort of gambling, there is a risk and you perhaps had face consequences ahead and you should know this before taking an action.

Good if you’ve already benefited from bitcoin’s current rise. Because at the end of that year we knew that bitcoin was quite high. Enjoy your current profits. You can buy it at any time when the price of bitcoin is at a cheap price. But it seems like you have to be patient to wait for a cheap price because at the moment the price is still high, and there is also a chance that bitcoin will increase its price, we never know that. Currently I will not sell my mbtc. I’ll sell it when bitcoin is already very high.

Its best not to sell all unless you see some fatal mistake because on the flip side Dollar has structural problems which can end it, on balance holding some BTC is best for most citizens in most countries.   If you are a great trader then take the risk but most of us are observers on a phenomena not witnessed before and being so new in the world makes BTC too unknown to sell all.
The other point is not to get hung up on one price, we may not trade below 20k as the ATH is over twice that.   Or we trade below but only briefly and most are busy people.

Yes, I also sold very early. I believe you achieve the set target that's why you sold your bitcoin. Yes, its good one should not take too much risk due to the BTC nature. I don't think it will come again to $6000 as we know the current price is 6 times higher than your expectations. My target is to buy around 20000$ if it comes to that level again in the future.

I already sold out all my Bitcoins, and other crypto.

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.

What about you?

Actually its depends on BTC holders mentality and also risk taking. I think BTC will hit minimum 50k$ this year so that i am holding my BTC for future. Everywhere there are positive news now and new investment also came in nCOVID season. So i think market will not down like 2017 so that i am very much positive about future market and holding my BTC.

I did the same, but I didn't have to wait for bitcoin to position $ 6000. I take advantage of the bitcoin drop and will immediately buy and sell it when the price goes up. for me the short term is not a problem as long as it provides maximum profit

Yes, I sold my bitcoins on the grounds that I had made a profit many times what I thought was enough.
I don't want to take the risk because the current bitcoin price tends to be around 36k-37k and I'm selling above that price, and maybe I'll make another buy when the bitcoin price drops.

I laugh when i see this post of OPs.
Really OP, i have seen the future, and it is more than the expectation.
This year there is 0 possibilities of BTC coming back to 6k USD.
So better make a different strategy and try to buy BTC whenever you can.
And leave rest on your destiny.
Hope you get good profits this year too op.

I've already sold also all of my holdings. I am so early to out in the bitcoin, when it hits $24,000 I have already sell all of my hold bitcoins but not all of my cryptocurrency. Yes I know that I am so early to sell but I don't want to risk my huge profit that time and I've decided to cut it already and sell all of my bitcoin holdings. For those who are not selling their bitcoin until now, good for you guys maybe all of you are millionaires right now. Just like you I will just wait for the bitcoin to dump and I will buy and hold it again.

Nothing to worry about, except you sold in loss. There are basic stuff we all should understand that, not all bitcoin holders will be able to hold for a long term. Personally  i sold of my portfolio when Bitcoin was first at all time high becasue of some FUD that set in during the SEC versus Ripple. The truth was, i sold becasue i was on profit, so, it shouldn't matter when bitcoin is heading anymore.
That is not a problem when selling bitcoin and altcoins only for profit but still for me there must be a handle in the long term, especially bitcoin, I only see how the movement reaches ATH of course because it is based on so much demand I also never worry when there is news FUD from the SEC about Ripple but that has no effect on the movement of bitcoin see what I analyze all this will work well in the future when holding bitcoin.

going to buy it again at a lower price is the best decision...
also sell some satoshis that I HODL for my daily needs and my family. anyone is not prohibited from selling Bitcoin as long as it does not sell at a lower purchase price. I will buy back when my family's economy gets better.

No one can stop you on prohibiting you to sell out your coins for the sake of your family needs. This is our primary goal in mind to make money to support our family.

If it needs for you to sell off those then its up to you neither you are on the losing or profiting side because family always do come first but it would be better if you
wont really go below into your purchasing price point.

In my case, ive been doing this ever since where i do sell out my coins for my needs.

The same decision between you I because when getting bitcoin have lower price better for buying and keep sell when bitcoin raise higher price, maybe I am not investor for long term just make daily trading because I think is less risk and keep get profit every day although little but keep consistently. How ever if holding bitcoin in long term we need other source income because I am only trader and need profit every day for may family, so if keep holding I don't have source income because bounty campaign payment is weekly.

None of the experienced users have sold all of their coins in one go, and the same is applicable for me as well. I usually sell small amounts of BTC every month and the volatility in exchange rates haven't caused a change in this situation. This time, the chances of a major correction is not as high as we had in 2015 and 2018, but it is better to be safe than sorry later.

It's true that greed can destroy everything, but I personally don't sell everything, be it bitcoin or altcoin.

I'm selling because there is an urgent need, for a market that is currently moving forward it feels like waiting a year or more to see $ 6k worth of bitcoin again won't happen. why not take advantage of a market that currently looks livelier and prefers to retreat?

I have sold my Bitcoins when the price reached $40k and I think that's already enough for me to gain a good profit and just like you, I have also sold my holdings for my family. I'm also having the same idea of buying again when the prices dropdown. It isn't the wrong idea to sell our holdings as long as we've gained a good profit already and we're using it for our necessities. However, we shouldn't stop there but we should also look for more opportunities to earn so we'll have enough funds to invest again.

Many people may say you have made a foolish decision. But personally I know where you are coming from. The fact that the $30k bitcoin was in during December feels like a bubble is enough to shake the hearts of people into selling. And back then it would be the most logical thing to do. However, you wanting it to drop back to 6000 may take a bit more since resistance is high while it is still sitting at 40k today.

Bitcoin's fluctuation range is getting smaller and smaller, and it is already at the end of the triangle convergence. I believe it will change soon. When it steps back to the $33350-32450 range, enter some. If it falls below the US$33,450-32,450 range, the stop loss will not be recovered, and it will break through 37750 and increase the position; The start-up is fast, and the price will go far if you don't pay attention. There are not many opportunities for daily changes. Please cheer up and welcome this wave of market.

I don't have bitcoins hold now because I sold it long before and if I still holds it until now, it will be huge money I have never had. Now that I have sold 70% of it to get cash, I don't want to be hit by Fomo saying bitcoin will break back at its highest point. Besides, I made this investment in March and now I have gained almost 7x the investment value and this is quite high, I will wait for the price to return to correction to be able to buy. 30% remaining if there is an increase of more than 45K. Just then I will sell.

Only sold some but hold the majority of my Bitcoin. I have made up a decision on selling some of my Bitcoins for personal usage and that is kind of confidential and I am looking forward to regain what I have sold once the price of Bitcoin lower down a little bit to be affordable and going to purchase once again and then hold for a while and let us see what can just so happen after a couple of hours, days, weeks, months to better know if I will gain profit or will be needing to just stock it over time. I have not regret selling some of my Bitcoin for there are important things I needed to attend to and I better know that I can still find opportunities to repurchase once again once price lowered down to become affordable and hold it.

I have sold some of my Bitcoin at times to secure profits. The rest is being held at various wallets for safekeeping. Who knows if Bitcoin will hit higher prices in the upcoming months? Selling all of your Bitcoin now, could make you lose an opportunity of a lifetime to become filthy rich. I have a feeling that Bitcoin prices will continue to soar during the course of 2021. We may witness $50k per coin by December if the bull run persists. It's best to "hodl" strong until BTC hits a new ATH on the market. You can end up with a lot more money than what you've initially invested in the first place. Of course, "hodling" is not for everyone. Whenever you see the moment to sell, don't think twice as Bitcoin's volatile prices could make you lose everything in an instant. As long as you sell a little and keep the rest, you'll do fine in this wild and crazy world of crypto. ;)

Investment on altcoins is more complex and more risky than any other well-known crypto such as XRP, ETH, BCH, BTC, USDT etc,. Unlike these well-known cryptos, most altcoin rarely have any updates on and are likely to go dump depending on how the team of each crypto manage their coins. But yeah, the return is high once they hit the market.
Anyway, it's better to hold on coins with much strong market and only trade and invest on altcoins when you wanna have a quick buck. I too still haven't managed to invest and hold unto my coins as I needed the fiat money for my studies but once I have a stable job, I'll more likely to invest on bitcoin especially before the next halving.

Well a lot of people will be selling their crypto especially now that bitcoin's value is starting to drop. Avalanche effect so to speak which allows you to take the chance and withdraw some of your earnings. That being said, keep some in your wallet and remember to fund it up again to ensure that the ROI is still there. Otherwise there will come a time where you will inevitably lose your investment

Not so sure about that when most people right now are already selling some of their investments. I'd say that at the very least, compared to the 2017 crash, people are more calm and collected this year.

But of course, seeing what's happening now I believe you've realized that you sold way too early. Even at this point, those who are still selling now are also selling too early. Except one is selling to take care of urgent financial needs, otherwise it's a weak hand panicking. Bitcoin price isn't crashing any time soon. Those who sell now may not be able to buy back at the rate the bulls are eating up the corrections. This is a bull year, so we should expect Bitcoin to continue to soar into (at least) the third quarters of 2021. I am bullish this year on Bitcoin and I believe many are too.

Bitcoin's return to US$6,000 is unlikely to happen in the next year, but huge increases should not happen. If selling digital currency to avoid risks is not a wrong choice, by the way, turning into US dollars will also face the risk of inflation. , It just depends on which one you trust more.

It is almost impossible for Bitcoin to return to $6,000. As long as there is a clear downward trend, many people will buy it. When Bitcoin really falls to $6,000, you may not dare to buy it.

We already see that this was not the right decision. Indeed, until the end of December, bitcoin grew only to $ 30,000, but so far its highest price growth was in the first decade of January. At this time, probably, many have at least partially sold their bitcoins. So far, we can say that the partial sale of bitcoins at prices above $ 40,000 was justified. Bitcoin has already dropped decently in price and it looks like this is not its most price bottom even for the next few months. This year, the price of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies will be subject to very high volatility. Whoever uses this correctly will receive a large profit.

No, because even if you cash out now, you still lose considering the huge value BTC has.

I feel the same. Every time I felt like it was the peak and sold a little I regretted.

I'm a holder but every now and then I sell a little, not more than 5% of what I hold to have some fun, buy myself some things, celebrate the price and it's always the same afterwards. The price falls or goes up but 6 months later it's always higher than when I sold and I can't stop myself from thinking if I really needed the things I bought.

I'm in hope for BTC to reach 50k this month of January or February, and still hodling for that.
~
I would even be satisfied if it reaches $40.000 again, by the end of January.~
Well, January is almost coming to an end but the price is just at $33k. Like you guys, I'm actually hoping that it'll reach $40k again or even $50k. But the current price is okay for me. I'd still keep on holding 'cause we're still at the early part of 2021 and we never know what could happen in the next few months. I'm still acquiring as much as I could and then sell some when I feel the time is right. After all, patience is a virtue.

I wonder how this guy doing right now. He had sold all of his bitcoins at the lower price that we had today.
It is not really a good idea to sweep all of your bitcoins at ones.
Keep some until you finally decided to sell at the highest he can get.

I sold my bitcoin when it reaches 23k USD feeling regret? No. Because I bought my bitcoin at the price of 7k and 10k USD I didn't expect it will pump to 20k so glad to grab the opportunity than waiting again for so long years. After I saw the 30-40k I just close my eyes with no regret profit is the main goal being greedy can cause damage if you hold too much without knowing what will happen in the future.

just like you I have also sold all my bitcoins.  I will buy again if the bitcoin price drops to the $ 20k level .. and now I'm trading short term altcoins .. because it's too risky to hold too long.  I hope bitcoin will go down and I'll buy as much as I can

I think the bitcoin will drop and wait for the Chinese new year this is the most memorable to our market wait for the red days again.

Great RISK indeed.

If I have bitcoin better sell right now still have chance on higher price but if you wanna be holder few year later good keep hold but always have risk we can't expectation with bitcoin always on higher price, but my trading I am looking when price up I will sell my bitcoin than waiting bitcoin price down to buy back, every time bitcoin will correction just wait good moment when have to buy bitcoin. True, At the end of the day it's your decision whether you want to keep holding your assets / not, if you're not believe anymore in crypto then you should sell your asset.

Like me i still believe the price of bitcoin will keep rising and i don't think i'm gonna sell it before the price reach my own Goal.

Okay let see this year if the bitcoin gonna go back to the 6000 dollars this year, because probably this is the seasons of rising not of dumping so you should try again next year if the price of the bitcoin back again to the $6000. I suggest to the people who have bitcoin do not sell your bitcoin because it is good to have bitcoin now because this year there is a chance the price pump upto 50k dollars or more but depends on the demand on the market how much it will cost the value of the bitcoin until the end of 2021 but now we are need more improvement to the price now.

I dunno what the reason he told that the Bitcoin price will drop to $6k. He just says another shit to make a spam thread. Who cares He sold his Bitcoin and will buy in the $6k? This forum is a place to discuss a quality thing, not a shitpost. If he said the thread with any realistic and logical reasons maybe It's not a problem but he's just spam. Bitcoin has a good future, because as we know that there are many big companies that bought Bitcoin for their advanced business. Another reason, Bitcoin became a currency that can be used by everyone without any limitation because of the difference of countries, this currency has been universal for everyone. Bitcoin that has limitation for supply make this currency will be scarcity in the future.

I remember my coaches in trading they always say that TP or Take Profit when you are happy, they clearly said when 'happy' not when we are greedy, many times we thought that our profit is not enough to us, that's why most of the time we suffer losses because of that greediness within ourselves, yes being greedy is natural but we need to keep in mind that in trading , when we have gain it is good if we take it rather than be left out.

No.

As of this moment, my main goal is to accumulate more Bitcoins. I have already set a target selling year and I will only sell all of my holdings when that year has been reached. I know that Bitcoin's price has been doubled in less than one month but that is not enough for me to sell all of my holdings. I know that Bitcoin's price will go up even more in the next years and we are all expecting it but I'm also ready if the opposite scenario will happen in the future :D.

I first invested in cryptocurrency more than 4 years ago (January 2017), when I purchased BTC at a rate of $900 per coin (if I remember correctly, I paid around 3% markup for the purchase). I sold small amount of BTC in 2018 and the succeeding years, but I still have most of my original coins remaining in my wallet (>50%). My target price is $250,000 per coin and I don't want to sell my coins before the target is achieved. If I had posted this a few months back, then people would have laughed at me. But now that target seems not too far away. BTC is trading at above $35,000 per coin, and I believe that I will be able to achieve my target within the next few years.

But just when everything seems to be moving in the right direction, I am facing a serious issue. The Indian government announced a few days back that they will be banning Bitcoin in India. Even the ownership of cryptocurrency will be made a criminal offense. Now I don't have any choice other than selling my coins immediately.

In my case, I prefer buying more bitcoins rather than selling it as I know that bitcoin price will still continue to increase because the peak of the market is still very far base on the happenings of the market.

Once I can see that we are nearing to the peak of the market then that will be that time to dispose my bitcoins and buy again once it will hit back to $8k-$10k as there is a very less chance that it will go down that much even if we will hit the bear season.

it seems your wish will not be fulfilled!  many are already interested in buying and investing in Bitcoin and many are even HODL, so there will be no chance for Bitcoin to fall back to $ 6k.  i did the same as you (ie sell to buy at low prices) but did not expect the Bitcoin price to drop to $ 6k, i am waiting for a possible major market correction (around $ 20k).

Many people probably prefer to buy bitcoin over time but I don't believe in your case or the case of many other, they can continue to buy bitcoin at their current prices because as we have seen the prices and push of the market with bitcoin, it went way beyond what we wanted, and the price went higher, people were scared, they wanted profit, and what they do right now is sell bitcoin for profit. Most people are waiting for a crash and buyback as you calculate, very few people want to hold bitcoin right now, except for whales

ETH looks very good for investment. Even now many project still using Erc20 for their token.  I don't know how long it will last until new technology is discovered. Now is good time to sell bitcoin so we can buy more when the price fall. Bitcoin always volatiles so it will be wise to sell it now. I still holding now, now I still study the situation. Not selling would be a terrible lie. How can you keep it from mid-2018 to ~ 6k $ and sell when it reaches X2, X3 is beyond imagination. Because, we can speculate on better buyback opportunities. Can't hold any longer if it blooms at $ 41k. Regret and assertive for this trend? a fine line for greater success.

Don't feel sad if you get a profit on that investment, you don't need to feel bad if you early sold your bitcoins. As long as you have managed to gain something on that, it's enough and of course, if the profit helps you in your life then it's a good deal. There are many people who have the same situation as you but didn't feel bad because there will be always a second chance, and sometimes the second chance gives you a lot of reward because you've learned.

If you think that it's the best decision, it would be fine. You can study the flow of prices and you can decide again to buy and invest. In y own opinion  Bitcoin and Ethereum is good for a long term investment.  But well, you are also right that it is very risky because its volatile.  I don't think it is also wrong to sell nor keep.  Either way, the most important thing to do is study the price.

With the current price of bitcoin right now, I doubt that it will go back to a very low price of $6000 dollars per bitcoin. If you bought BTC in 2018 after the crash of 2017 then I would say you should have kept the said BTC and waited until now for you to sell it. But to wait for another low, for me seems impossible. You have to wait longer for it to happen. And maybe once it does go very low, consider buying a very huge amount so that it will be worth it.

Title: Re: Had you sold your Bitcoins ?

That is really a good thing to do as far as trading and investing Bitcoins are concerned. We do not withdraw the said BTC we just wait for them to get really high. And I like when you told your strategy of just simply stacking your satoshis. If you earn satoshis from many different resources like bounties or small gigs you have then you better stack those satoshis so you will be able to feel the real value of it once it gets very big.

I hope that I also have skills like yours that can predict if the price is rising, going to stop rising, falling and going to stop falling because it can give you a lot of money even if the price is so wild that keeps goes up and down. We cannot earn when we just hold on a time of wild price because it will be having a constant value and it is better if you observe it well. There is an advantages and disadvantages on continuous price rise and wild price because wild price is good when you are active and always observes the price and pulling out when you think the price will go down while the continuous price rise is good when you trust bitcoin 100% and wait until the price goes up then pull when you think the price stops to rise.

Don't be remorseful there mate, it is what it is. There is one thing we all agree upon when it comes to trading, and that is we do not know what the future will bring for us. We do not know if Bitcoin will go up further and when will it happen. If you have waited a little longer then your should had x4 profit I think, but we do not know when will that happen so you sold it when it was $10,000. And that is fine. You can start to buy bitcoins now and wait again for the next good rise of the coin.

I had sold a part of my bitcoin. I am a long term holder and I set a price when to sell it. I earn money and I feel satisfied with it. It is given that it is risky and volatile, we do not have control on it. Neither sell or keep there is nothing wrong with it. It is our own decision and as we sell, the price changes high or low, we may feel satisfied with our decision or feel regret on it.

Well, that is call panic sell. You should at least check the flow chart before selling your bitcoins. The cost isn't fluctuating rather it's expanding and there's a huge possibility that it will ascend to $50k. It might go down as low as $15k however difficult to cross $6000.Anyways there's still an ideal opportunity for you and since bitcoin is decentralized you can even now include your cash on it because $50,000 isn't far enough

That's why you called panic because he does not care for what is the chart but he is relying in FUD or other negativity that comes His way so decided to sell instantly .
and the bad thing is will feel the bitterness after deciding.
This is your choice and every one is free.
But in my opinion there may be some special in this month for bitcoin. Bitcoin price can ho high even 5k in this month. Little wait can give you profit.
Yups and need no one to blame , our boat our control , our funds our decision , so if you don't wanna feel sorry , then better Keep the holding and forget conversion.

I'm holding my bitcoins which I brought below $1000. But I took back my investment long back and I think bitcoin has a lot to give in this bull run. Big institutions just started to come in so you will see 100K before the bear market start.

Since corporate purchases, I don't think bitcoin will drop that much. The levels it dropped after the old bull season was up to $ 3000. now there is a different world and a different economy. bitcoin and this sector in general is included in the investment portfolio of corporate companies. If you wait for $ 6000, you may miss the next rally as corporate firms reduce their average costs with new purchases, even if there is a decline. Of course, the choice is yours.

One of my success is I already bought bitcoin at the price of 3k and 5k USD I'm not knowledgeable in terms on this but the problem is when it hits for another 10k market I already sell my Bitcoin why? Because I take profit after the bitcoin dumps this is the time I bought another one usually just to follow the trend and again I sold my Bitcoin when it reaches to 23k mark and then later I realized why do I sell those coins not even waiting for the bitcoin ATH because I'm a newbie in terms of investment but just keep learning for another 3 years of Bitcoin I will not take a hold and wait just to get the highest another profit of all time. Even tho it quite risks still a profit.

I sold my BTC when price was $11000 :'(

I just waiting for another chance to buying bitcoin. I promised I would never sell at under 40k.

I missed the big profit.

I did at around 18k but I do not mind selling at that point, the important thing is I got a profit for hodling, I am still hodling a fair amount but that is besides the point which is hindsight, we didn't know that it was going to rise this high this fast so we saw an opportunity to sell and so we did and there is nothing wrong with that, the only wrong in that situation is not grabbing the opportunity to sell because the bitcoin market is volatile. Don't make promises my guy, promises gets broken instead you should make plans like selling a portion of what your hodling for a profit and marking a certain market price where you are going to sell and to buy, makes the perspective more objective. Don't bury yourself over the size of the profit that you got, profit is profit.

We actually don't have any idea that bitcoin will just jump to it's all time high this year. We end up regretting our decision of not investing in bitcoin way back  but of course we must not be that so devastated because of the regrets but we must learn this time that we sometimes need to take risks in order for us to earn and make profit. Moreover here in cryptocurrency like bitcoin, because we all know how this things are risky. Yes indeed, the user are very lucky to have bitcoin savings and did able to sell it for a higher price this day yet can also look it into the bright side and be this situation or experience example that taking risk is worth it.

I already sold out all my Bitcoins, and other crypto.

I don't want to risk. i would buy Bitcoin again when it visits $6000 again, maybe next year.

What about you?

It may be too late, but this is the basis of cryptocurrencies - the belief in them. This is exactly what I think should be avoided in market downturns. We should not sell, overwhelmed by the mass excitement of panic.

I hope you didn’t regret selling your Bitcoin with its current price now. And it is normal that dome people are afraid they might lose the fiat value of bitcoin they invested and so they sell them before the price in fiat decreases. I on the other hand sold some of my Bitcoin because I needed to buy things to start up my business when the value increased but I still manage to keep some of them for ling term hodl.

Gor me if you realy want to earn money using your bitcoin you need to hold it for long time and wait for good things happen in the market situation, and in that situation you can make your own profit.

Holding your bitcoin in your wallet is little risky because its price is uncontrollable but if we conduct our own study about Bitcoin price history we can prove that holding your bitcoin is not wasting time or not wasting money because there is a big possibilities that the price of bitcoin multiply after several months.

Remember before you succeed you need to take the risk and sacrifice a little things, but yes it just my opinion base on my own observation.

You have sold your coins and now you are advising others not to sell theirs. There is an irony in this. Prices have gone up by 400% during the last 12 months, and this is the right opportunity to book partial profits. But that doesn't mean that you need to sell all of your coins now. The best idea would be to sell 10% to 20% of the coins and keep the rest for the long term (>3 years).

Actually this is the excellence of this cryptoworld, Everyone totally free to do anything you need, in my opinion you sold as well early since there's still room for dangerous development within the showcase but typically not a awful put to offer, be that as it may where I think you're certainly off-base is in your objective of buying when the cost comes to 6k, agreeing to my information and my analyzes that level is gone for great, in the event that anything I will be astounded in the event that the cost goes at least but another opportunity for speculators to purchase at moo and HODL.

We have to accept the fact that market is full of surprises by seeing the market no one knows that price will jump over $50k. Many regrets selling their assets early the thought that price will further decline. True that's the problem overwhelmed when there’s a sudden pump so the best move is we should have a goal when to sell your bitcoin.

It would really be lots of hit and miss if you do deal with this speculative market because due to unpredictability then you wouldnt know on where and when those prices would really move on.
One thing which is important is you do able to make profits neither what would be the market condition would be.It will be depending on how you do make out some good or call decisions towards your
portfolio. If you dont know on what you are doing then you would definitely be messing out your investment. Also, investors can be classified neither a short term or long term hodler
So this would be a case to case basis on selling out their coins because each does have its own targets.

I think everyone should buy some Bitcoins at cheap price and keep them in a safe non custodial wallet for their future generation.
You should invest some money in Bitcoin just like you buy land, property or Gold to secure your future.
Those who bought Bitcoin at a lower price last year and Hold them are successful person today.

It's unpredictable and with high volatility we can't say when will be the exact position to buy or to sell our assets,
like what happened to OP where he sold too early.

Fearing that correction may turned against his favor, but shit happened and the direction went against his anticipation
look where Bitcoin now.

Everything you said is spot on but the most important aspect of investing is that you need to enter at the right time. You cannot invest in bitcoin when the price already touched $50,000 and then expect to make a huge profit holding for a long period of time. We already had a huge rally and these institutional investors are here to make profit and once they starts selling the market will go down. Be smart and take risk according to the market situation.

I did book my profit in bitcoin and other alts in the mean time because i was patient enough to hold the coins for 7 years and now its time to reap the benefits and invest in real estate to have a recurring income and the rest i will be holding longer.

I can see that you have booked your profits. Good for you. But I don't think that the prices will once again go down to four-digits, if a massive correction occurs now. Because experienced users remember what happened during the previous two rounds of corrections (2015 and 2018). The prices recovered within 12 to 18 months and those who sold the coins during the correction phase suffered massive losses. Also, the data from Coinbase indicates that institutions have stepped up purchasing Bitcoins during the dip.

Actually what you do when you sell all the coins you have must be seen from the situation at that time, maybe the need to sell is more of a priority than holding it, because I also experienced like you because of the pandemic that lasted early last year so I too releasing coins for necessities, I don't regret it because I think my actions are correct.

waiting for the price to drop to $ 6K at a time like this might be difficult, it can happen and the possibility of you being able to buy it again will not materialize, because bitcoin prices have indeed stabilized at $ 45K- $ 55K.
I am not suggesting that you have to sell your house just to buy bitcoin, even though you believe bitcoin will rise higher, that's not the best way. because the movement of bitcoin is still long, it is better to pay in installments by buying potential altcoins and after being new enough to change them to bitcoin.

I almost sold mine too, if not the information I got from the cryptocurrencies that showed bitcoin price will soon hit $100k before the end of 2021. I am still holding mine coins because every four four years bitcoin price always increased higher to enable the users to achieve something good.
I don't think that bitcoin price will dump next year according to some researchers, and many buyers are waiting for the price of bitcoin to decrease for them to buy and hold for future profit making.

You shouldn't think buying bitcoin is the same as buying real estate or gold because these assets have a stable price over time, I have never seen gold or real estate devalue so much in over the years, most of it will increase each year while bitcoin always has a surprisingly heavy crash a few times a year, sometimes our property can be halved in just a few nights or hours. But in return, the value of bitcoin increases rapidly and strongly, which is the opportunity for us to accumulate more profits through the waves, holding and not selling will not be able to optimize this
