Looking at how the site looks like and their low online presence[1] (odd for a service that started operating in 2018)... I'd suggest staying away from it.

here is obviously a new kind of deception. It is evident that with the growth of Bitcoin value growing interested in bitcoin mining which opened up a new possibility for fraudsters. I find many threads where "innocent" people asking about the credibility of some mining hardware webshops, but they all look very similar and mostly offer it for slightly less money than real value. The next thing that happens is that some complete Newbies here, asking for advice is it legit, no shilling, just asking but still promote suspicious webshop and give them authority backlink from this forum.

if it looks a little more carefully just on the first page of the Service Discussion section, there are several topics with the same question.

I couldn't find anything in regards to their hosting services but I did manage to find someone that might've bought something from them in the past...
- You might want to directly ask philipma1957 and minefarmbuy (appears to have some interactions with its marketing director [Joyson]).

I think I used this company one time with PayPal and alibaba

https://www.akminer.com/

but it was fall 2017 and a lot was happening.

so THIS is not an endorsement
Joyson send us email periodically as well.

Having said the above things, I think you should still go with OmegaStarScream's suggestion [to stay away].
- I know it's tempting to get your hands on a newly released miner but it's better to wait than to lose your hard-earned money to scammers [again].

If you don't want to get scam much better buy directly from ASIC manufacturers. It's way safer than buying on any 3rd party shop which we don't know if they are verified distributors or not.

If you want a list check this list below.

Quote
- https://shop.bitmain.com/

Also, try to email those manufacturers, and maybe they have some verified distributor in Switzerland.

They are Legit.

I  orderd a S19 Pro 110 from them last week and it arrived via DHL today. Ordered thru Telegram and paid with USDC. Joyson sent invoice via e-mail.

Can send screen shots if needed.

I  ordered a second s19 pro from Akminer and it arrived today. Again, no issues with the vendor. DHL was a bit of a pain in the ass, but not the vendor's fault.

I would never deal with AKMiner again and caution any and all to find an ethical vendor, of which AKMiner is not. I ordered 2 DR5s from AKMiner in July. After I sent payment they cancelled the order and claimed they never received payment. I’ve sent them screenshots of the payment, the transaction ID on the BTC blockchain, and six months later, I’m still waiting.

Please share the transactions ID here if you don't mind.

Such information is enough evidence to pin AKminers as a fraud company. Some members have been talking of Joyson being a good communicator but am not sure how they got in touch with him.

Thanks for sharing your experience and transaction ID. This isn't 100% proof of what actually happened, but it looks like you can be trusted more than the stories told by @merdock69 which looks like a classic shill account.

I'm sorry for your loss.

I think now we have the answer to what to think about akminer.com.

OP - you should change topic as it can be confusing if someone doesn't read the whole thread.

Agreed, the transaction summary alone proves just about nothing to no one. In the context of this unfortunate incident and coupled with silence from AKminer, well it speaks volumes. I will take your advice and create a new post with all of the sordid details. Thanks for your insight.

If you could present documentation, or any other evidence 100% confirming the dishonesty of akminers.com, it would definitely be much better.

You can create "Scam accusation" here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0
or at least open thread in "Reputation" section here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0

It will definitely help other users form an opinion about this company before they start ordering something from them.

It proves that he made payment, which is what I was looking at.

This is an old Post. OP has been on active for almost a year. I doubt he will come back to update the post given that he made only one post and went offline

Thanks for your input. Thinking of this from a third-party perspective, I have to agree with you; the post is not very helpful without inherent credibility.
This can only be achieved by including the actuals: the invoice, the payment details, the email exchanges....all of it. Only when armed with that level of data can a wary third-party commit to a course of action with confidence. Anything short of this is wasting people's time. I will fix it.

**UPDATE**
AKminer got in touch with me and they have agreed to refund my payment.

According to AKminer:
"we spent much time and did some investigation on this order ,you did not pay full payment for this order which placed in 6th July and also payment had 3 days delays and reached our wallet on 9th July ,that is why our order system did not recognise this payment .
Anyway ,please send us your USDC address and we will send 18935.67 USDC ,sorry for any inconvenience of you ,thanks~"

After speaking with them about the situation today, I do not believe they acted in bad faith. This was a transaction anomaly and I would consider another purchase.

Wait for the confirmed transaction before any positive judgement. you may be right, but it's been too long until their reaction occurred.
since you don't have any sure ways to force them to refund, this would be a miracle.

@jaskcon

Waiting for 6 months... that's horrible. Such investigation shouldn't take that long and it's not like they are very in demand either, that excuse is hard to buy.

Don't you think it's weird that you only got some sort of resolution from them after you started posting in a public forum? makes me think they are aware of your posts and therefore decided to only issue a refund for the sake of their image... I'd look for other places with a much better reputation.

After all this and you still want to do business with them? Are you serious mate?

Ask yourself why they have been waiting for over 6 months.

And why are they not paying you back the actual amount of BTC you sent to them?

0.57415620 BTC which I believe you sent to them as per the TX ID right now is worth 24,536.62 USD. They are sending you 18935.67 USDC. Don't you see that they are even cheating you.

They should even be paying you more for the damages caused.

What I see here is manipulation you are already being scammed according to your post but after 6 months akminer contacted you for a refund.
You sent them with BTC but they are going to send you USDC which is not acceptable. Look at the price of BTC when you sent them before and now the price of that BTC is a bit higher. For me, I don't accept this if I only have a BTC address and no other crypto wallet they should only send back the exact amount of BTC to me.

The other thing is like the above said why buyback?
You already have bad experience ordering miners from them and you are still planning to buy back to them?
Sorry, but for me, all I see here is manipulation period.
