It is difficult to say which ones will be the best performers. Likely some smaller coins that will get pumped at some point. But these are very difficult to pick right and there is a big chance to lose out big time.

Coins that will perform well with comparatively low risk are the established Altcoins such as, for example

-ADA
-Ethereum

If you want to have a few that have even more upwards potential due to lower market cap, look into established coins such as, for example
-VeChain
-IOTA
-Siacoin
-BAT

It''s a hard thing to predict but with what's happening with them right now, I'm bullish for Ethereum and Tron. Ethereum's new staking option and it's change to POS has brought large interest towards this coin while tron is starting to take a lead on decentralized gambling apps and smart contracts. EOS too had been quite active in 2020 while monero would keep leading the non centralized payments.

I think you not have altcoins in the long run? to make sure all the altcoins have a milestone that matches their total supply and current trading volume. based on price movements where most people don't focus their funds on altcoins.
because, basically altcoins will have potential when the spread of fomo and hype envelops the market. otherwise, its value will be seriously neglected.

I still think altcoins season comes most the period when there is a trend and then the existing altcoins on the market follow up, we have seen how they were all acting cool by adding DeFi as extension.  ;D ;D
On the contrary, I have my eyes on these Alts below and I bexpect them to perform greatly this year 2021.

There are many altcoins that are pumping better from now on. Many people say that the altcoin session may come between January and February. If Bitcoin is stable, altcoin will pump better. Of course, you have to choose good coins, before investing in any coin, you should look at the future plan of that coin. And all the time you have to try to buy dip and use stop loss.

Many altcoins will experience an increase in price in 2021, but I am very confident about 2 coins namely LTC and ETH. I think LTC and ETH are the best altcoins that are part of the top 5 CMC. the price of the two coins will exceed the 2021 ATH. Apart from these two coins, I have high hopes for the LINK and TRX coins. I think it's the current altcoins that catch my eye in 2021. May 2021 all altcoins experience a significant increase in price, so everyone will be happy

Take a little bit of each coin from the top 50, some of them will give 100% growth in 2021.  Better yet, conduct a project analysis yourself using fundamental and technical analysis, learn to work yourself.

Be aware that coins momentum in terms of a surge in price doesn't count, if the coin is centralized cause it can be easily manipulated so I will advise you to desist from centralized and manipulated coins. H
Having said that, the altcoin I consider to perform well this year are ETH, BNB, LINK, YFI, ZEC and XMR.

And now a days the market has also become unpredictable, so it’s very much difficult to give a correct prediction.
Moreover it would be even better if we just choose stable coins as this will be less risky to make profits.
ETH will be the best coin to invest if you want to go with my call.

You can choose top 10 altcoins from the list of CMC and Coingecko. I think ETH , BNB and LTC will do best in 2021. Bitcoin reached its ATH. Now it's the turn for altcoins. ETH growing constantly and it do not cross ATH. So ETH may be the choice of investment in 2021.

Maybe we will see those altcoins in the middle of this month or next month because we all just seeing this new year starts. Bitcoin itself still not moving and jump to a high price in this new year, but it stable on the current price. But I think the bitcoin price will break $30,000 this month because we are close to that price, and we have a chance to see that price to comes. But maybe ethereum will have the biggest chance to be the best in 2021 besides bitcoin, but who knows, the other altcoins will give us a surprise.

All of that is still in the possible category, so there is no certainty that the three of them (ETH, BNB and LTC) can be good this year, because the opposite is also possible even though everyone wishes the best for the three tokens this year.

As a ripple holder I think that after this lawsuit and once that the ripple win against this case, without any doubt that it will be one of the best and top crypto performer this year. Also, base on what I have seen in different crypto groups that I have joined I think that ADA, BAT and DOT will shine this year as well.

Just keep an eye on Ethereum I think it will takethe leap and will go completely parabolic perhaps starting this month and then other good coins will follow ETH so I suggest to accumulate TRX, ADA, Waves and Neo etc.

After the price of Bitcoin continues to increase in price and reaches a new all time high, it should now be altcoins turn to return to  the all time
high price. I believe that in 2021 there will be alt seasons, therefore from now on, we have started investing in several altcoins. Based on

Whether a project does better or not has a little to do with the time but its own development and the team's strategies of promotion and getting partners and investors. I would definitely recommend you to invest in Ethereum, because the price of Ethereum will definitely continue to increase, even though currently Ethereum has not reached its ATH, but I am sure that soon Ethereum will reach its ATH or even more than that, so I believe if you invest in Ethereum right now and of course you will definitely get a big profit in the future (after Ethereum reaches its ATH).

Ethereum should be the number one choice, Litecoin, Doge Bitcoincash, Polkadot Binance, old and proven coins and tokens that are on the top 10 are sure winner in your portfolio with the exception of Ripple, which is expected to be out in the top 20 in market, if you have a huge amount of money to invest go for the top 20 if not go for the top 10, I exclude new altcoins for now. 

I think polkadot and LTC will make a good performance this year, the reason is XRP is in its bad situation, another coin with negative comment from goverment is dash, monero and zcash ( and all of privacy coin ). Doge also looked good now. Im affraid we are not at 2017 now instead we are now in just like in 2013 phase.

I think you can list LTC for your investment in 2021, because I see a very big possibility for the price of LTC to increase and LTC also has a great opportunity to replace XRP, so it will have a positive impact in the future for LTC and of course the price of LTC will definitely increase very high, therefore you better buy LTC now before it's too late.

Polkadot ($DOT) shows a good start this year and they have indeed a good project and probably will compete to all existing blockchain project buy still its hard to predict whether they can withstand the plummeting altcoin trend this year though. Its very hard to give a coin that will be a in a good run this year but most probably once Bitcoin price correct. Most of the altcoins will recover and show massive pump.

I suggest that just to avoid coin with conflicts with SEC and other regulators.

It is an unstoppable question for investors that want to make sure the altcoins they are investing in. But it's obvious that there were topics made for it even before. Only by just searching on the forum with such keywords, they can find what the people can say for the suggestions of the best altcoins to invest.

Many traders are recommending some potentially good altcoins in 2021. Maybe you can analyze them further when  trading them.
Of course before recommending altcoins, Bitcoin is the top choice. Maybe altcoins like Polkadot, Ethereum, and ADA can be traded
if you agree with them. Maybe you can consider this input first. Because all are untested predictions.

The market is indeed unpredictable and there will definitely be new innovative projects that will come this year of 2021, so we can't say for now what altcoin will do best in 2021. But I assume Polkadot is making a good improvement, and it is still a promising coin that it already surpassed other top coins in the market.

No doubt BTC will be the best in 2021 as always, about altcoins ETH, BNB, XRP have also great potential. You can see the price of ETH and it is really great at beginning of 2020. It is my opinion that we should hold these coins in 2020. They are still profitable and more than that there is less risk to lose money by investing in ETH, BNB. Maybe there can be some new projects which can do best in 2021, but l think there can not be any new project that can reach these coins. We will see.

Coinbase is a good exchange and popular in the US so when the coin being on the list to trade on the exchange I often see the coin will experience a significant increase.

With Bitcoin still dominating the market by 71%, we must be careful when choosing altcoins to invest in 2021. Because based on

They can only predict few coins based on the trading volume on the market, but not all the predictions are correct. Indeed, we never know and we cannot tell what altcoins will do good this year since we are just starting. But to answer op's question, I guess it's safer to say that it will be those top coins in the market. I mean, who should we expect, of course, those who are leading. Although we can't really guarantee that all of those coins in the top 10 since we don't know what will happen in the coming months, I have hopes for them.

I would still go for top coins like Ethereum and Litecoin because these coins have been showing a good movement these days which is actually a good sign. However, I still hope that it would also be a year not just for top coins but also for new coins and inactive coins. Let's all hope for the best this year.

There are lots of coin which can perform relly well in 2021. I know in the market the hype is a really common thing. And for this hype many themed based coin go very popular and then most of those theme based or sectorial coins started to sink. At this moment defis are in high position but I don't think all of them are gonna stick for long time. Inthink somenhigh cap coins like iota ada will do something in technical aspects I am not talking about price. I also think dot based coins and the ecosystem will grow. You know when market goes parabolic it takes almost all coins towards moon so what you can do the best is accumulate all good coins that have not moved much yet and then wait for their time to moon before taking any profits.

I'd be seeing GRIN coin to be one of the top coin to grow. I have seen it exponentially rise on several DEX but had not seen the coinmarketcap updates its data. Many of the privacy coin will probably rise just as many will move to anon coins, primarily on XMR. Prior to its current price Grin had reached up to $6, I don't doubt it will also go back to this price once again.

Will for me,
I have only to trust old coins to make such a rally. I don't see any reason that they will fail this year, honestly. Some new projects/coins making hypes that brought attraction but this will not catch me because this doesn't have a sustainable market, this is just a dumb trick for whales and later, it dumps. So better choose those projects that have been proven and tested for a very long time cause it somewhat gives your the benefit and profit.

ethereum has just gone up and is almost $ 1000. this really fits what i thought. Unfortunately, I didn't prepare for that. however, this year I also continue to believe in the development of ethereum. I honestly expect the current downturn to get ethereum in the zone that I can get. but, for now, it seems difficult.

That's hard to say b/c some alts may be shitcoins that have no use at all and still get pumped to the sky. I like to follow projects that propose something of value and have the ability to deliver. In this line, I am close to IOTA, SIA, and DOT. I think these are some coins with great concepts behind them and extremely undervalued (just take a look at their last ATH and to where they are now).

All the major well known altcoins are doing wonderfully well at the start of the year as we can see. Even the XRP that is currently under the the US SEC is gradually gaining back it momentum despite the huge litigation up on it.

In my opinion, bitcoin will be the prime focus of investors in 2021. ETH investment will also remain high. Defi related tokens will be in the spotlight this year as you can see many of the investors are looking to invest in Defi related tokens and actually Defi act as a catalyst in this market uplift after extreme correction.

Doge having a good growth but the fact that it's a meme coin make me kinda skeptical though if people decides it's a good coin and useful enough for money transferring then so be it.

Agree with you. sooner or later XRP will be delisted from most of the exchange that I believe. so its high risky coin for hold or to do trade. A big surprise happened with ethereum as the price was being pumped instantly to the above 1k in a few days only. The majority of coins that got the big pump was the major coins. The small coins are only following the market. It looks like bitcoin is starting to enter in the correction now. if bitcoin will be dumped back to the below 30k and the dump might happen next month.

Judging from the considerations of each Alcoin currently there are so many that are not there to dump, this is what makes me eager to follow the latest program of the project I am participating in. of course with very good potential.

The best alcoin in my opinion is the ethereum coin in 2021 the ethereum coin is back on its feet and until now the price of the ethereum coin is getting better, the possibility that ethereum coin will return to like in 2017 even better than 2017 yesterday.

We are in the era where bitcoin is taking all the coins upwards with its own momentum. Altcoins are just getting driven because people making inter-investments from bitcoin to alts and vice versa in the hope that everyone will make huge profits out of it. In the process there is big investment into altcoins market cap. Depending upon popular coin they get bigger stakes while the others just go with the flow.

For example, just notice the difference between ETH and other coins. When ETH is taking big leaps other coins are just having portion of momentum and more! Obviously the title is little off track since altcoins have already outperformed since last month.  :D

So far this year, Cardano has already increased by more than 1100% and I have high expectations from this coin. Even at current levels, I would say that Cardano is underpriced (now compare that to most of the other altcoins, which are heavily overpriced). Technologically, Cardano is one of the best cryptocurrencies out there, and it has the potential to make it big.

Even there is a lawsuit against XRP I still rooting for ripple as one of the best altcoins this 2021 especially that the alt season has started already. Other than XRP, XLM and ADA are also good to invest and hodl this year which I definitely a profitable altcoins and can double or even triple your investment.

I really agree with you I am more interested in holding ETH, than other coins, but I also have a Doge coin which is currently growing on the exchange very much for doge price growth and it's already 76% from the previous price maybe 5%, and I have got a very good advantage to own Doge coins ..

I think one about the well known coins referenced is the best. picking coins other than that, lone makes your odds of not after the moon rocket much greater.

In the year of 2021, the most valuable coin is xrp or ethereum, because it is the market of volume, trading volume, market cap, top rated coin. Now at the time, ethereum price is good and xrp coin price is not good, but hopefully, in this year, it will be the great position.

King of alts Ethereum is my favorite pick followed by XRP, right now due to US SEC news xrp price has gone down very badly however I will wait for the court hearing which is suppose to happen in Feb next month. My own altcoins selection is SXP. It is one of the projects operating under binance coz they were acquired by binance. But maybe the defi project is still one that might be of interest and besides, today the market crashed and I still can't confirm whether it means the end of the bullish trend. I like coins in the DeFi world these days, within the staking for other coins, liquidity providing, the whole airdrop systems, and all those APY returns you get from being one of the early ones, it is crazy these days. You can get in as one of the first people, invest only 1000 dollars, and get about 5000 dollars back in just 2-3 days, obviously you need to be extremely lucky, but if you are one of the first people to do so and the coin goes up a lot, and there is not huge amount of money invested right away and APY stays high? Well it could just happen.

It reminds me of the times when back in the day when a coin was released, it was just released with a wallet and that was it, and we could mine it on early hours with our laptops and computers, and after one or two days it will be impossible to profit with it, so it was important to be early.

There are really numbers of coins, which can do best in 2021. First for me ETH, BNB, XRP will do best in 2021 including BTC. My opinion about BNB is precisely because of the Binance Smartchain and also several projects like Cake that have been successful with the network. I always said that the best altcoins to invest this year is the ethereum and yes because I really believe to this coin that every year the price will grow because more companies have interest to accept this ethereum to their business like payment and investment to their project or the platforms they build and as of now I guess Im right that it is best altcoins.

I should say that you know what you're saying. Having ETH and LTC and keeping them lets you have the two best coins IMHO. And making LTC as payment in the alternative to ETH saves you from the fees. Because we can see that ETHs fee is quite expensive.

Not that I can predict which alts are going to give the best bang for the buck, I'm sticking with proof of stake coins in 2021 (and BTC of course).  I've always thought POS coins have been overlooked, and that's surprised me.  They offer an opportunity to earn passive income, which is what everyone seems to want.

I don't know more about cardano, but recently hear that something big is going to implement into cardano network from some news sources. You should be careful in doing that investment though, I am not saying don't do it, all I am saying is be careful if you want to do that. For example, have your money 40% in bitcoin, 20% in eth, 20% in dot and 20% in chain, if you do that I can say you will make a very decent amount of profit. That way you have a huge number of bitcoins which is the biggest coin that everyone loves, you will also still have a big amount of altcoins that could go up and make a good profit as well.

I am not in favor of going into just few coins, or purely on altcoins because if you do that you are going to end up with a bigger risk than you should have. If you can diversify your portfolio into multiple coins and a big amount in bitcoin you would be both profiting but also risking less, the only downside is you may earn less as well but I rather get the less risking part.

I believe the same. Eth will still be the topmost alt choice here. I am waiting their fully launched 2.0 because right now, we haven't seen the aftermath of Phase 1 yet. But they are already breaking their ATH   recently, so they have a lot of room to improve in terms of their price once we experience the benefits of their second version. Hope we see that soon as many people are already complaining about the high gas fees.

l do absolutely agree with your opinion, BTC, ETH, BNB are the best for long term investing. l prefer investing in top altcoins, outside of these coins are not interesting for me. Sometimes there can be some new projects, which can be interesting for me. However, it happens sometimes, as you know new projects can get down easily. As you mentioned investing in other altcoins is so risky for me. The privacy altcoins have a nice potential if you can afford to invest in the mentioned type altcoins. It is interesting how some investors avoid investing in the most profitable altcoins but they end up investing in the Dogecoin.

2021 is good for many altcoins. Most of the altcoins give good amount of profit in last few months. Many of them have 5-10x profit also. And I think defi based token will do good this year. And for defi based token the contract based token like ethereum and bsc or others also grow big. But i think this year is for ethereum band it will go more. If market grow like this many more tokens also give high profit.

Vechain and Cardano started the year well. Neo became one of the coins whose price increased after a long time. But until the end of the year, many things will change, the coin that marks this year will be the BNB. Defi based tokens will do best too :)

Personally, I watching ADA and XEM coins. I think everyone knows ADA and I don't need to say why this will perform great this year, waiting for some bullrun on April for ADA.
XEM (NEM network) is quite new project, has a place to grow. Circulating 9 bil coins and cost 0.37$ per coin. So only 3.5bil $ market cap right now. Hopefully it will grow to 10 bil easily over this month making it worth 1$ per coin.

It is not easy to predict something before it happens. But I think 2021 will be the year of binance and ethereum, all others are great but binance and ethereum looks to be doing great for the foreseeable future. I think it is going to be very profitable to hold them.


If you are sure about what you are doing, I would say get them and put it aside and not look at them, I think by the end of the year at least another 5x could happen for BNB and another 2x could happen for ethereum, no matter what happens to others. Could you find ones that make you more profit? Of course you can, but they are going to be very risky to do that and it will definitely cause some loss if you are wrong about them, whereas in BNB and ETH you are not going to be taking too much risk and that is why I think buying them would be the smartest choice for 2021 investment, that is at least how it looks so far.

But on the other hand, when you would divide your money, you will have more chances to make some money from your investment.
