I just started and got a few cents from the faucet (cool idea by the way). I am surprised one of them is someone who introduces himself as someone with a "finance background". Don't you have any money to buy bitcoins, instead of just begging for some? I'm hoping the pot reaches at least 100 though...

Your best bet would be to try to offer skills you have in order to earn them. I would follow up on the suggestion about writing for the bitcoin paper.
