Title: Bitcoin 2.0
Post by: DGulari on March 26, 2014, 09:55:32 AM
Why is bitcoin talk - openly hostile towards bitcoin 2.0.  These are not 'alt coins'.  Yet, the admin here insists on shoving these topics to hell.  Advanced bitcoin features and uses effect the entire bitcoin community and bitcoin core.  Yet, the admin here just goes bizerk at the mere mention of things like colored coins.  WTF?  These are very interesting bitcoin technologies you are suppressing.  Stupid.

Because everything that isn't Bitcoin, is an alternative to it (i.e. altcoin; if we're talking about a coin).

It's crazy. Why would a high-volume forum, that uses a hierarchy of topic-specific sections, care about making sure that threads are properly classified?

It's almost as if some users appreciate being able to actually use the forum to find the information they are looking for without it being hidden under a deluge of mis-categorized clutter.

It's even funnier when knowing this thread was originally in Bitcoin Discussion. I suspect the OP just doesn't get it and thinks all his threads belong there.

Because Bitcoin 2.0 is not Bitcoin 2.0.

Bitcoin is version 0.9.

Come up with another name.

I proposed a solution that would fix that forever:

Bitcoin itself is a protocol that evolves.

Nice proposal, hopefully it gets implemented.
