Title: cryptospot.nz - bitcoin price comparison for New Zealand
Post by: blaze on March 03, 2021, 09:47:44 AM
Hi,

I'm building a price comparison website for all crypto marketplaces in New Zealand

The website takes the live mid price from Binance BTC/USDT pair (the most liquid BTC pair), converts it to $USD then to $NZD to get an accurate spot price for Bitcoin in New Zealand Dollars

Then the spot price is compared to the rate offered at all the various Exchanges, Brokers, and P2P marketplaces and shows you the margin (x%) above or below the spot rate

The website url is https://cryptospot.nz/ (https://cryptospot.nz/)

Any feedback is appreciated

I would suggest that you should add more color to your website, I like the content already and I don't know much about technical stuff but I think aesthetic-wise, I think that you can improve your website. Can they also buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrency in the website because if not, I think that it is a good addition to your website which could hopefully get more traffic. Also, add the About section on your website so as to make your website more credible because the users know that there is a real people behind it.

I don't know what sources you are using for Bitcoin Transaction Fees shown on the bottom, but I think Fast, Standard and Value fees are much higher than they really are now.
mempool.space (https://mempool.space/) is one of the websites I mostly use but I double checked from other sources and all of them gave me lower estimation for fees than I see on cryptospot.nz website, and I am always trying to save on fees as much as possible.

The design of the site is nice, but why is the service so limited to New Zealand? Add more details or several countries.
For example, taxes, how to calculate the tax, shops, stores that accept Bitcoin payment, and leave a choice for those who want to buy or sell using cash.

I like that design, in fact it's the only thing I liked.

If you make your site open source I may modify it my country. :D

Nice site! Easy to read and follow

Yes I think an option to switch between maybe two colours, like the Light / Dark (Inverted) options you see.

I don't want to sell crypto on the site. Just be a impartial source of data on who has the best rate to buy and sell. Hopefully It creates more competition and drives down margins so consumers get a better deal.

I am using https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ because they have a free API, but mempool.space looks real good - I will see if i can use their data.

I'm just starting out, I am considering adding Australia next. I do have plans to add additional content such as guide for beginners, investing strategies...

Thanks, yeah. That's a good idea. Will be working on some graphics soon (logo), but want to keep things quite minimal.

You liked it because you have a black on your name  :D :D. Kidding aside, I do love black and somber colors but clients of the website would disagree and there will be a lot of people that is going visit and many won't like it or otherwise.

Do this one OP, some altruism won't hurt and you will be credited for it hopefully.
