Only interested in coins available on Coinbase Pro. Don't bother shilling altcoins not on there.

Actually let me just make a list of the coins I could be interested in stacking long term (I'm not including LINK because I already hold it long term):

MKR, XLM, ATOM, XTZ, ZEC, ALGO, KNC, COMP, BAND, YFI, UNI, REN, BAL, FIL, AAVE, GRT, BNT, SNX

Out of those which do you think have legitimately the best chance at long term high adoption and therefore price explosion?

Currently I'm leaning towards ATOM, ALGO, GRT, and BNT as my favs, but just wanted to see what people think who might have done more research on these coins.

I do some trading so I have some of these coins currently but just thinking about holding a few long term.

Anyway, not a financial advisor but I will always go with Bitcoin. Consider this:

All other coins are pumping or dumping based on the USD price of Bitcoin. When bitcoin pumps they pump parallelly in some cases slower than bitcoin and when bitcoin dumps they dump exponentially.

Bitcoin without exchange is not a worth one.Bitcoin is the food for the fishes in the pond.People invest the bitcoin containing exchange in order to convert the available token to the bitcoin and further convertion to your local FIAT.The pump of the bitcoin will created a good pump over the other coin.

oh my god dude i specifically said which ALTCOINS, I even gave a specific list of the coins I was talking about. Plus I posted this in the altcoin forum. The question obviously is not about Bitcoin!

talk about altcoins, i think ethereum price still undervalued now,
because i believe the price could grow more and reach about $3000 in this year my friend

I am quite impressed with how ATOM and UNi values ​​were generated during the bull run two months ago.  Uni is one of the most popular decentralized exchanges, amid the buzz of BSC, Uni still retains its inherent foundation.  As a belief in Ethereum 2.0, Altcoins will benefit greatly.  Uni will continue to grow in the long term.  ATOM has proven its platform to be independent and responsive to defi, and its institutional user base has improved greatly based on a recent increase of ~ $ 5 - ~ $ 22.  I still maintain it because of the potential for an explosive expansion in the future very well.

In my opinion, in 2021 there are many altcoins that are growing rapidly and have good potential to be invested in the long-term, but I am more inclined towards coins such as UNI, SNX, BNT, ADA, SEX, ATOM, XRP and ADA, because these altcoins are already listed on several exchanges, and already has a large community that's why I still hold this altcoin,

The most promising long term coins on coinbase right now are :

1. BTC
2. ETH
3. BNB
4. ADA

those four are my top list for the top most promising long term coins in the market these days, i really hope that those for coins are gonna explode again and again in the future, let's just wait and see until it really become a reality.

FILECOIN seems to me to be a really worth checking out coin.The capitalization may have fallen a bit due to the high probability that BTC continues to fall, however FIL has tried to stay at an acceptable price level, it is not seen that it has so much fall, but nevertheless if the price falls a lot some Investors can leave little by little:

AFAIK binance coin or Bnb isn't listed on coinbase yet and this thread also about altcoin, OP even has given the list of altcoin he would like to invest.

From OP list, i would go for UNI and FIL coins to hold for long term. The reason obviously, UNI is one of biggest DEX exchange and FIL also has hyped to $200 before it dumped. FIL also offer biggest hard drive to save all data on their site.

ATOM and ALGO are two blockchain platforms that are capable of executing smart contracts and are well worth the investment when their capitalization is quite potential compared to platforms with the same functionality. These two blockchains are building NFT, AMM and other applications are gradually being built by different developers although the speed is still not high.
FIL is also a cryptocurrency worth investing in as it is a blockchain lab with diverse tools for developers to create content on the platform. The marketing, code development and support of the miners they are doing are very smooth.

It's definitely AAVE and UNI if you're looking for long term, their development is so fast that it actually keep growing day by day at really fast pace, however coinbase usually are rather slow in listing some potential coins, they are just listing a coin that's already popular and by the time you invested, most of its potential already realized so most of the case you can't really make big profit, still good investment nonetheless.
try to look into another investment coin that are outside coinbase maybe you're gonna be interested, more specifically project that about to launch, usually can give better ROI but also at higher risk, so really make research and this is not financial advice.

Uhhhh so where's bitcoin?  All those coins and not one mention of bitcoin.  The best coin for adoption and therefore price explosion is....bitcoin.  sure if you want to gamble on that list go ahead but why not start with the best of all of them?

Maybe OP is interested in the best profit from the moment OP started entering this market.

For me, those are the most promising in this market

for short without bitcoin those alternatives will be useless in exchanges and etc, because bitcoin is the main source why some alts always make improvement as well.. As the matter of fact as you can see BITCOIN become trending because of some words from elon's and other whales, so why alternative crypto currency is being affected and after the manipulation why they fell like a rock even they are not included? Lol  that's how useful bitcoin on this crypto space.. But sad to say most enthusiast try to choose other assets even its very obvious bitcoin is the big thing and very promising on the market.. They're blinded!

He doesn't include bitcoin because bitcoin will be the good coin that will give us a big profit in the long term.

All of those coins have a chance to increase, but knowing which coins have that chance will not be easy because all of those coins will compete with each other. @OP can have bitcoin for the long term, but for the altcoin, that will be for the short term because the altcoin will always follow bitcoin price, so it is better to use the altcoin in the short term and sell it when the price increase.

OP indeed is only talking about altcoin on altcoin section, how would you ask where is bitcoin or even give advice to him to invest in bitcoin?

Maybe OP can go with AAVE, COMP and UNI. AAVE and COMP are biggest Defi using ETH platform and UNI is biggest DEX exchange using ETH platform

I guess Matic would be the one to look at if you're looking at these types of Defi coins, only because all of these mentioned are hopping onto Polygon like crazy, so yeah all of them gaining the hype boost but Matic probably the one benefiting the most as the most popular L2 token. What do you think?

These coins are all good to invest for a long term, they already had a good backup behind their development, another good project I would add to the ones you mentioned is Solana SOL, they are pretty doing well in the market deriving different projects building on Solana blockchain.

Did OP has said about matic/polygon? I don't see it. That's why i only commented about the list of altcoin from what Op given above.
Matic/polygon is too hyped, soon it will be back to $0.5 or below, the hype was just because Mark Cuban invested on this coin, hoping it can be successfull as ETH or BSC

I think the most promising altcoins on the coinbase are the etherem and a binance, because these altcoins have very good prospects and potential, very good for long-term investments, currently ETH and BNB are ranked 2 and 3 I am sure this altcoin will continuing to survive because the demand is increasing a day by day.

Well, I personally cannot amongst the coins listed on coinbase say which is good to hold for long term into the future, but I do know a token which is likely to get listed on coinbase pro sooner or later, maybe this year or next year at the least, and this token is student coin, if you are very active here on this forum, you must have heard of student coin, the project is a long term one and very promising, alot of development ongoing and the best time to enter into this project is now as the price of stc in the market is very cheap, the token is already listed on some very good exchanges which kucoin is one of them, invest in this project now if you want x100 or maybe over x300 in 2 to 5 years from now.

The following are some of my recommended altcoins that you can think of keeping:

1. ARPA
2. ADA
3. XRP
4. MATIC
5. CHZ

The five altcoins above, I myself still store them in my wallet well and patiently, even though the market is not in a good condition, I believe the five altcoins that I mentioned above are hidden gems and can become leading pioneers in cryptospace.
