Which is a better platform? Ethereum or the Binance Smart Chain? Please explain why.

The common reason why BSC is better these days is because of the fee.
Eth = expensive fee
BSC = cheap fee
That's the easiest comparison and reason that we can comprehend if it's about these two chains.

2. totally decentralized compared with BSC.

If we are seeing both based on the demand and then ethereum still leads compared with BSC but there are more possibilities for more people migrate to the BSC due to the expensive fees that happened in ethereum but i still prefer ethereum rather than BSC.

It's not worth comparing these two platforms with each other now, because ethereum is now in a state of complete renewal. Yes, the ethereum network was created in 2015, when there was not such a large user load. Now the ethereum team is solving these issues, including with high transaction fees, but this will take some time. Ethereum will be updated, and then we will compare.

A lot of traders don't care whether a project they're buying into is centralized or decentralized. They only look at the transaction fee and to this effect I say that BSC is way better than ETH. BSC is a good platform but i didn't like how it is working. The fees means a lot for traders but ethereum will get another improvement that will solve it.

Binance Smart Chain is the best especially they have the things to develop its current capability in the upcoming years just like they keep updating their products especially their services. The main reason is good than ETH is because of its fees and convenience to use. I was initially introduced to Ethereum and still believe that ETH is better than BSC. The fact is that Ethereum appeared much earlier than BSC and Binance itself, and everything that Binance now has, it owes to Ethereum, because it all started with it. The fact that ETH is now experiencing problems with network load and high fees for commissions really spoils Ethereum's reputation and many crypto platforms and companies are now switching to other blockchain platforms, including Binance Smart Chain. However, Ethereum is currently working on updates and there is every chance that the network problems will be resolved and then Ethereum will regain its position. But no matter how it was for me personally, ETH remains better than BSC, especially since BSC has just begun its journey and it will be seen further how good and popular it is among the crypto community.

In the past the Ethereum platform was always considered good by all of its users and now that the Gwei's fees on the Ethereum platform have increased, some people think the Ethereum platform is no longer good, which is not the case, although the Binance Smart Chain platform is also not bad to use though some people say the Binance Smart Chain platform is the best and they are starting to forget about Ethereum, but in general both of them are equally good to use according to their individual needs.

That's the situation with ETH and BSC right now. BSC is practically a copy-paste of ETH, and almost everything there is the same with ETH. But because it offers lower fees people prefer it to ETH.

But don't worry about your restaurant, because a lot of people understand loyalty. BSC doesn't have the huge community that ETH always had, and the number of projects in their chain (and their quality) can not be compared to ETH. Also, ETH will probably solve the fee problem in July, but until then BSC will be chosen by some people and projects, and will probably flourish.

But most of us failed to expose that ethereum network is decentralized while Binance smart chain is centralized which itself a great difference and cannot be compared one another. BSC is just a temporary solution to ETH but ETH will solve the fee and scalability issue after rolling over to ETH 2.0. In the meanwhile period S=BSC can grow a lot bigger and gather community which can replace ethereum as well.

Do you know what BSC really means? BSC is a smart contract based blockchain which offers same functionality of Ethereum blockchain. Developer can deploy smart contract there for NFT, applications and other digital asset there which is same to Ethereum. This is type of question frequently asked here in this forum. Most people will only comparing both network based on the gas fees. If we talk about the gas, of course bsc is the winner nowadays, while ethereum network killed those people who sent small value tokens. Bsc is the answer for the ethereum high fee. No doubt people follow the money, where there's a cheap service, there will be crowded.
But no one know what will happen when eth2 become live. The blockchain update from pow to pos will immediately change the game.

You cannot say that in one word, the reality of the events are that the ETH is too congested and the fees are really high to send transactions and that is affecting some projects and so is the reason some of the developers are shifting to other platforms and with CZ in the helm of Binance smart chain you can expect that he will be luring developers with his promises but one aspect is true that Binance smart chain is having minimum transactions fees but what happens when it see a surge in transaction like ETH.

If only this was the difference, then we would see that all projects massively began to switch to the Binance Smart Chain. Most traders these days are having a hard time dealing with high fees and I think that's the edge of BSC over Ethereum. ETH has high fees that's why most people are switching to other exchanges and altcoins with better transactions. Eth has been through a lot but the developments of Binance smart chain are getting better than it.

I look at BSC as the alternative way to save from paying huge fees to miners but I know that this high transaction fee couldn't be staying forever and soon it lower down.

To be honest, I will still choose ETH. Might BSC is a good investment to try but I'd rather have to keep ETH this time until such a time BSC proved to be good and reliable. I'm just practical and I know that ETH developer will do their best to give a solution to the fees problem but somehow, it can't just to fast to address and it needs time. I'm still waiting then.

Yes, they're already trying to solve it and it takes time. Some projects have been converting to BSC but those that have remained on the ETH network are patiently waiting for the solution.

Your opinion has a point and I agree. It's either project don't want to let their investors and holders struggle with the fees and they chose the BSC over Ethereum but others that even find it expensive for the fees just have to wait until 2.0 is done.

Even with such fees, Ethereum looks better and more reliable than Binance Smart Chain.

actually Ethereum is the best, because Ethereum is more popular and many projects use the platform from Ethereum, but for now I prefer BSC (Binance Smart Chain), because transaction fees using BSC (Binance Smart Chain) are cheaper than Ethereum and the speed for transaction using BSC (Binance Smart Chain) is also fast, therefore for now I prefer BSC (Binance Smart Chain) than Ethereum, but if in the future the gas fees from Ethereum go down (become cheap), then I will definitely choose Ethereum again as the best.

I do see much more hype on this one but well this isnt something that is just good in the looks but really does have that functionality or simply its usage.

Gas efficiency is the main problem right now in ETH.
However, for those who don't want a centralized system, they will still opt for ETH.
In the very near future, I believe, this gas fee problem will be resolved.
I don't think the ETH team is just sleeping on this problem.

When it comes to transaction charge/fee they have a big difference, in Ethereum the gas fee was too expensive or high, while in the BSC much more cheaper than the ETH. Now, in terms of usage for the new projects ETH is much more useful than the BSC, as you can see most of the new campaign projects they always used the platform of ERC20. These was their differences in my own assessment mate.

Ethereum is a better platform because it's decentralized. Binance has cheaper and faster fees but it is a centralized platform and not like Defi should be.

Cheap fees should be the main consideration but i do believe people are not also seeing BSC from the cheap fees that already offered compared with ethereum.

Well i really agreeing with the statement that Ethereum was really the best Chain for many projects to use and it also could be one of the attraction of investors of what kind of crypto chain does a new rise project has but one drawback of Ethereum of course was its high gas fees. With the huge gas fees required for just one transaction on Ethereum I would say Binance Smart Chain is better, because its gas fees are not only cheap, Binance Smart Chain solved the scalability problems on Ethereum blockchain, so it's a better than Ethereum for now, maybe when Ethereum 2.0 comes, we might be say something different because the update is expected to solve the current problems Ethereum has for now.

the Ethereum transaction fee is what is making alot of people and projects to prefer Binance smart chain , aside from this i dont think there is any other edge. for me i am ethereum lover but the gas fee is way too much. i still use it but not like the binance smart chain.

I do not subscribe to the idea that one is better between Ethereum and Binance smart chain. I believe they compliment each other. Binance smart chain is an improvement on the shortcomings of ethereum, while ethereum is hosting the BNB on its network.

BSC is more centralized than Ethereum. Also, it has lot fewer projects on its platform compared to Ethereum. Apart from high gas fees, Ethereum remains the better choice.

By the terms of service i would say ETH and BNB are both good coins but when transaction fees are requiring by these moment traders do prepared to used Binance Smart Chain because they have low cost fees, fast and easy way to trade while ETH have highly cost fees which is the only problem they have.

It depends on my transaction volume. If I have to swap a very large sum and if I have to choose between Ethereum or Binance, I would decide for Ethereum because from a crypto perspective, we should always select more decentralized solutions. Binance Chain is very cheap but it is not what we finally want because it can be controlled by Binance simply. It is not how a decentralized finance looks like.
Ethereum is decentralized but very high fees, so at a low sum to swap, I would use Binance but don't like it because it's controlled by Binance.

Apart from ETH and BNB, I like much more Avalanche [AVAX]. It is a new chain, launched last year late summer and has a very good DeFi because fees are low, fast and it is decentralized. I can really recommend Avalanche because it has so many improvements over ETH and BNB.

Smart chain is being used by many shitcoins today because of its popularity, but sooner or later if that network continues to produce shitcoins, they may also experienced big problem. I chose binance smart chain (BSC), because the fee is cheaper and faster. the only good thing about ethereum at the moment is the price. And everything else is outdated, there are many platforms that are better than ethereum. ethereum is an outdated platform that stays in use simply because they've been around longer than others. but BSC is different, there are lots of new innovations and all of that more than ethereum.

That's right, still ETH is more used if we base it from the projects that being created inside this chain.

I don't see anything that's outdated in eth despite the TPS itself that's kinda low, even BSC itself actually just a hf from current ethereum with some flavour which if i'm being frank not that different, if any it's just BSC have higher tps and rather centralized that allows it to be faster than ETH however once full implementation of eth 2.0 done like side chain or sharding BSC will simply become outdated while ETH becoming stronger than ever.
If what you're talking about new innovations in BSC are those nft marketplace and swap that coming up everyday and was meant to be money grab, I don't think that's really an innovation.

for now, I only see it in terms of fees. for BSC, it is very cheap, but because it is new, so there are not many projects that use the platform. however, for ETH, currently, there are so many projects that use it, and because there are too many fees, the fees are higher than BSC. both of these have advantages and disadvantages each. So, developers need to see what they need from it.

The difference between the two is emphasized on the difference in the proof-of-work system by ETH and the proof-of-stake system that has been implemented by BSC. I think even though ETH has a very large transaction fee compared to the bsc, I would rather recommend ETH shall to be the best altcoin, because the movement of the eth is increasing and increasingly popular nowadays, so ETH dominates both price and a market capitalization.

For me,i like to distinguish which is better by Market Cap, ETH is about $478 billions, BNB is about $104.4 billions, we can see ETH is about 4.58 times BNB, all in all, my conclusion is ETH is better.

Ethereum is the second to Bitcoin in terms of value. So, I must prefer Ethereum than BNB although BNB is also a good coin and has a chance to grow more in the future. If you have enough to invest, then choose both Ethereum and BNB. But now Ethereum has a high gas fee unlike in BNB but look at the value of Ethereum already touched $4k this day. and I believe it will increase even more. Currently, the binance smart chain is being used more in the cryptocurrency market. In my opinion, its use has come down due to ETH transaction cost. At present the transaction cost of ETH is very high. So now everyone is leaning on binance smart chain.

Right now i think BSC is be more usefull for me than ETH. So i will say BSC is better because the FEE of eth is verry high and for small trader like ME it's too expensive.

In terms of gas fee, BSC is now better than Ethereum but if you talk about investing, then I think both Ethereum and BSC are better coins to choose to invest as long as you have capital. In my opinion, the advantage of BSC is only transaction fees. the rest of the projects in the BSC network are mostly shittoken. different from ethereum which has been proven for more than 3 years and also has a well-formed ecosystem. so for me if you compare between the two of course I prefer Ethereum. although the transaction fee is relatively more expensive than the BSC

I like both coin as I know each coin is very promising and potential now and in the future base on their use case and platform. They has huge and active community. Both has profisional team and wise strategy. Both should be choose. If ever just one, I will pick Binance smart Chain.

For a while, I never stored ETH or ERC20 Token on personal wallet and never trade on DEX that use Ethereum blockchain because reason of high transaction fee. I dont want to pay like 10% fee only for sending or swap token. Not only BSC that have lower transaction fee but there are alot of others smart contract platform that started to grow like Solana, Avalanche and Polygon. I avoid high fee because I want to make more money. If ETH does not solve the problem of high transaction fee as soon as possible, more user will left it and move to another.

If I'm to decide which option to use for processing transactions, I'll go for binance smart chain as the transaction fee is much more affordable. The binance smart chain is growing speedily as several new projects are building on the smart chain. Ethereum is still the big boss and it's place can't be replaced in the cryptocurrency space.

Ethereum is backed up with strong and big communities, many erc-20 tokens that already big, still promising future because ETH is growing big lately.
BSC is new and backed up with binance (top exchange), low fees, the coins are great there are no fake projects, and also promising future.
Both are good to invest, me personally invest in both. BSC is new and low fees that's why many people are moving, but i think ETH is still good for long term

The only thing that can be denied if BSC is far cheaper than ethereum. even when there are no lots of transactions in ethereum network and the fees will much cheaper than ethereum. BSC is far better than ethereum.

I agree, the answer really depends on which side you're on, the investor side or the trader side. For investors ETH is better because of the future value given the ETH v2.0 is developing making the whole blockchain more efficient than it currently is, but as a trader BNB has advantages due to the low fees.

BNB can also be attractive as an investor since a lot of projects are now launching on BSC. So, the options are there you just need to decide which coin works best for you.

For now I prefer Binance Smart Chain (BSC), because gas fees from Binance Smart Chain (BSC) are cheaper than Ethereum and transaction speed using Binance Smart Chain (BSC) is also very fast (same as Ethereum), that's why I prefer Binance Smart Chain (BSC) for current transactions, unless the gas fees from Ethereum are back to normal or become low, then I will definitely use Ethereum again, because I'm actually used to transacting using Ethereum network, but because the gas fees from Ethereum is very high for now, therefore I am not using Ethereum for my current transactions anymore and prefer to use Binance Smart Chain (BSC) at this time.

Even though we should support ETH blockchain, of course after the transaction costs down. Now almost 60-70 percent of new projects are choosing BSC network instead of Ethereum. I will use ETH blockchain because I don't see any difference in BSC. I will fully support BSC, if BSC develops on a totally different platform because I don't like copied ideas.

But I think as the market will be in bear season, ETH fees will also have to change and I'd never been hopeless seeing this back again. ETH platform is definitely one of the solid projects in the crypto space. However, right now, people are going to BSC network because of cheaper fees aside from the fact that it is under Binance platform, which is a reputable and top crypto-exchange. But when ETH gas fees return to normal or at least comparable with BSC, I believe, people will restore their loyalty. Both networks are important and they cater different users, so for me, both are needed in this crypto ecosystem. Both have pros and cons, so it depends on the user how he will use both networks to his advantage.

I believe they are both very good projects and they complement themselves. Recently a lot of project are rushing to use the Binance smart chain because of the low gas fee it offers. But don't forget that Binance smart chain is not fully decentralized and is still hosted on the Ethereum blockchain.

Now I'm using Tether TRC-20 tokens but BUSD transaction costs are also low. But here both are centralized where DAI is better. If you have one option, then you can use Tether on Tron blockchain.

For me I think I would go to Binance Smart Chain the reason is that the fee is way more cheaper than the Ethereum's network also most of the DeFi are connected to BSC which if you stake will only pay few $ unlike staking through Ethereum network the staking fee is really high so for me BSC is much better than Ethereum network as of now.

At the moment Ethereum gas fees already have cheaper than before though it isn't cheap as BSC gas fees, still it's great works done by the dev after hearing the community issue have.

Back to the topic, if the main factor is the gas fees that you would prefer to use BSC instead of Ethereum network, then I suggest you try to use polygon network. The gas fees on polygon are quite cheap even cheaper than BSC and TPS (transaction per second) also quite fast. Furthermore, lots of projects already migrate to polygon network, I assume soon or later there would be many new DeFi projects popping up on its ecosystem.

Yea, price will also increase as the fee does too. But as long as we are happy and saving a lot of money choosing any of those, we'll going to continue using any of them. If someone prefers to continue using BNB for BSC transactions because it's cheaper than ETH's gas fee then that's also good.

Now things are a bit different because we have BSC growing so big, however that wasn't the case just few months ago, back in early 2021 or a bit before that BSC was empty land and that is the reason people still preferred paying 40 bucks on ethereum gas fee over investing into anything in BSC because there wasn't anything to invest. So when one place have 500 projects in it and other has maybe 10 at best, you know that you are willing to lose money on each move, you limit your moves but you still took those.

However these days it is getting a bit different, ETH has lower gas fee once again, not as cheap as BSC still but getting there, and meanwhile BSC has a ton of projects, maybe even more projects than ETH at this point. So it is a bit of a confusion, it is not simple and it will never be simple but it is still a very fun thing to compare and it is never a clear answer for many people.

The Ether network is much more perfect in terms of security.

An example is the Merlin project, which has been hacked twice already.

Agreed, BSC has lower fees but the network is not as well developed and have come across issues when the network had high traffic. Main issues I had on BSC is when trying to cancel transactions that the whole system was compromised. This is not the case with the ETH network which it is true does come at a higher gas fee.

The major difference is that ETH is decentralized, whereas, BSC is centralized. So if it is fine with you dealing with centralized system, you can go to BSC because the fees are cheaper. But if you want to stick with decentralized system, you will only use ETH. Developers on ETH can easily develop on BSC because the way DAPP is built is exactly the same. If ETH offers cheaper transaction costs, high speed, and stability, it can attract users back to ETH.

Decentralization or centralization doesn't make much sense anymore because BSC has quickly brought many utilities and thousands of projects developed on BSC. I believe that CZ and its team will not let their project die. The current problem of space is duplication and creative laziness. Projects on BSC tend to unconsciously copy which has led to many DEFI attacks in recent times.
I prefer using BSC because it gives me high speed at a low cost.

Well, I am still loyal to the old Ethereum blockchain and for me, they have different usage.

I think we should always take advantage. If the transaction fee of ETH network was not out of our reach, then maybe BSC network would not have been born. Now BSC network is a good competitor of ETH. I won't say which is the best between the ethereum platform and the BinanceSmartChain platform. because for me these two platforms are one of the top platforms in the cryptoqurrency industry.lately I've been using the BinanceSmartChain platform a lot not because I don't like the ethereum platform, it's just that I can't afford to trade expensive fees on the ethereum network.

BSC network is very popular to it's professional services, low fee and fast transactions.

The ethereum network was really a good one and can't be compared to any other network until it got congested which led to the high prices in fee and slow transaction. The BSC network was created to solve this issue and it has been gaining more utility and traction which we could possibly say it's better than the eth network in terms of transaction. Let's also note that ETH is still at the lead and can't be over looked because of it's short coming.

Of course, we love ethereum, but now paying high fees is very annoying. Whenever the market moves, gas suddenly gets very high and we don't want to transfer coins. It's currently around 150 gwei, unless you're transferring something high priced it's better to wait. With BSC, we can send coins by paying just a few cents :)

Why do you think Binance Smart Chain is better than Ethereum? Is it just because of the fees? Yeah, right now Ethereum fees are totally crazy. Nobody would want to spend $15 in fees for just making a small transaction. But that doesn't mean Ethereum is bad. The problem with BSC is centralization. All nodes are controlled by the same entity making it completely centralized. Would you like to give up decentralization just for the fees? Wait till Ethereum starts to scale better. Recently there is a huge migration of projects from ERC20 to BEP20 and Polygon with the simple fact that the gas cost of the ETH network is too high, forcing many projects to switch to other platforms to save money save costs for the project, and transactions become more convenient, usually each time sending tokens on the ETH network will usually cost from 8$ or more excluding each swap on uniswap, sometimes at the peak of a swap up up to $400 this is crazy, isn't it guys.

Basing up with real experience between platforms then i do already like on how BSC performs.It is indeed almost instantaneous when it comes too confirmation plus very cheap fee which is almost close to free.

This question has a really simple answer, Binance smart chain is the straight winner because of the fact that it's really efficient and requires really low transaction fees as compared to Ethereum, whereas for me in ethereum it once required a 29$ gas fee for a 10$ transaction [it may differ for you]  which is really high and I won't recommend it for sending and receiving a small amount of assets.

BSC is dominating against ETH because the gas fee of BSC is lower than ETH, but that doesn't mean BSC is better than ETH. The crypto community is eagerly waiting for ETH 2.0. Dominating on some point but wont really be enough on overtaking ETH on the 2nd spot on the entire market which means it isnt really that much good considering on community demand basing up on what we are seeing.
We cant really deny that BSC is really something great when it comes to real use case but we cant also deny on how great smart contract is which means they do serve out different markets on different needs on people
here on this market.I dont see the point about some competition because the better will always be on top of another one but doesnt mean that theres no chance of overtaking it.

Few years back we were only depended on Ethereum now we can go on some others with much better and good features but still Ethereum is biggest in market even peoples not happy with higher fees.

BSC is backed by biggest exchange and centralized but on other side Ethereum is going with big market and have decentralized but higher fees which is surely coming down even taking some long time, but team will do some better because without this now It's hard to stay on top in market.

BSC for me is a good alternative for ETH while they are still in the process of solving the high fees. Maybe that's the reason why BNB is more popular now, but it's a long way to go as BSC network has not achieved yet the number of projects using ETH network that cause the spike of fees, and maybe you are right, eventually in the long run BSC network will be congested and the fees will increase.

Yeah the only reason I prefer more BSC is fees. I have been playing some NFT games on BSC and it's such a joy being able to play without to worry to much about fees.

How Ethereum will be better in the future? If this network an unable to reduce the gas fee, There are no reason to see, It will comfortable in the future without fix this issue. Where BSC you can use incredibly lowest fees. Right now Matic is my favorite network because their blockchain even lower cost than BSC.

Ethereum's gas fees are completely insane. Only those with large sums of money will be able to use it. Binance Smart Chain, although centralized, is a solution to the high fee problem. If ETH continues to experience network congestion, then I'm afraid new projects will switch over to BNB. The alternative smart contract platform (Binance Smart Chain) is already growing at a fast pace since the benefits are numerous. I cannot say that Binance Smart Chain is better than Ethereum or vice versa since they're completely different projects with unique purposes in life. Only issue of Etherium is high fee but despite heavy gas fee total transaction of etherium is greater than BSC.
Opensea Etherium transaction is much higher than Bsc Nft transaction.
If this problem solved i think no coin can beat Etherium. I will prefer Etherium over Bsc chain
