Title: Tutorial website that pays content creators via crypto
Post by: Pitstry on April 15, 2021, 01:04:37 AM
I am planning to share my skills in programming, I can create blockchain based programs in python or nodejs. I can create faucets, mobile wallets. I can make tutorials. Is there any tutorial platform that pays content creators via crypto?

Therefore, you are one of the influencers in youtube or Blogger? am I right? You should have an example of your previous content that you made it before dude, so that other platform might get the reason to contact you because of what you have before. But if you don't have yet any experience regarding about you are telling here, you should give an example here as an illustration of your skills anyway.

A hundred other developers out there can do the same too. The competition among developers is a very saturated one, but if you have something that is unique and and useful then you might be able to stand out of the crowd.

I previously was interested in a project called Viuly. They failed miserably, it could have been the youtube of crypto with time though. There is also Steemit, which is a blogging website where you get paid in Steem's crypto(s) based on how much upvoted your content is. That could be another option too.

Additional suggestion would be going to Youtube and growing a channel, then marketing that to a tech tutorial niche, then going for monetization. If you can link more than one social media and spread out your content among them you might be able to grow it better. Would need years of work though, like several years to grow such a channel/blog.

It's either you start making your own vlog on YouTube or being a freelancer and look for those freelancing marketplaces to offer your skills and what can you do with their project or start a project with those people that wants to have their own faucets, etc.
That will take time for you to monetize your videos there and you need to be patient, what you must feel is that you're happy making tutorials and videos on that platform because other than that, I can't find other good websites that can pay you with crypto unless you want to earn through udemy and get paid in USD.

There is no such platform exist, you can post your content on decentralized social platforms which is available but there is no platform paying in cryptocurrency. But why no do the same in youtube and other popular social media platforms then get your fiat and buy cryptocurrency.

Just create a YouTube channel or your own website to upload all your videos then apply on Brave browser as publisher to reward you in BAT tokens. But if you are aiming to get payment solely on creating tutorial, then there's no known available on crypto right now since maybe you should apply on Udemy and create your own course.

I don't think there is such kind of platform exist particularly when it comes to programming courses merely. Rather I would suggest just creating your own blog then monetize it with an advertising network (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5196251.0) that pays in crypto or upload your courses to a crypto blogging platform such steemit or publish0x.

Some content creators that I know use Publish0x, but it's not focused on crypto. It's more like a replacement/competitor for Steemit that promises a better rate of profit distribution for readers and writers. I don't think that platform is ideal but you can try to use it.

Other than that, maybe starting your own course on Youtube or a website like Skillshare would be better.

Although what I'm about to mention aren't tutorial platforms per se, you could still indirectly reach your goals...

  • DLive (https://dlive.tv/)
    • It's being used mostly by game streamers but it also has an "education (https://dlive.tv/s/browse/53518/Education)" category.
  • DTube (https://d.tube/)

Note: I haven't used both of the above platforms in a very long time, so I prefer to not completely vouch for them.

I think Steemit users who did not like Justin Sun's takeover already moved to Hive.

HAs anyone heard of Bitclout? It is not the same thing but more like a Twitter. You sign up and do not earn anything but if people like you, they can buy your coin,,, everyone gets their own,,, and then you become more popular with every buy. People I hear say it is like how Steemit started!

If you’re a developer, you’ll have to show examples of your developments. You need to do it to draw the platform’s attention and get an offer. I recommend you to consider www.education-ecosystem.com . It’s a blockchain-based platform and it uses cryptocurrency to reward authors.

You should create only high-quality content, otherwise, it won’t pass the moderation. The information should be true and easy-to-understand. You can have a look at this course, it’s a good example (Building an application using Hyperledger Fabric - Education Ecosystem (education-ecosystem.com) (https://www.education-ecosystem.com/hdhameliya/ROyDj-building-an-application-using-hyperledger-fabric)). It’s very useful and easy-to-understand.

Are there any courses for Python or Nodejs devs? Aren’t there too many projects like that on the platform?

The platform is relatively young, that’s why there’re few courses, and not all of them are useful. It’s high time to start using it because the number of users is expected to increase significantly in the future.

There’re no specific criteria, but you should work on the course’s quality and usefulness. The users like only the info that is easy-to-digest. Your income will depend on the course rating which is determined by the users.

Does the platform have any competitors specializing in programming courses?

If it’s important for you to get cryptocurrency as reward, there’re no competitors. Many people switch to LEDU because it’s the best option at the moment. It has no analogues in terms of safety and quality.

Yes, there are platforms that pays you to upload your tutorials check LBRY.tv you'll earn LBRY for uploading videos you can also make your videos private and charge them for viewing your videos, another good site is Publish0x you'll earn coins if members liked your article and tip you, you can also earn from tipping other members.
