Am I the only one who finds his tweets and market manipulation annoying?

A lot of newbies falling into the trap unfortunately. BTC is strong and won't be affected too much but Dogecoin is just increasing its pump and dump reputation. Sad.

well he bought bitcoin right? so it is expected that he will do these kinds of things so that the price will increase a lot and he will earn money, in addition to the amount of money he already has. fact is that he must be enjoying it and feeling powerful, but is it his fault or the people of the crypto world who are greedy to the point of loving pump and dump? it is the fault of the people of the crypto world


everything that people in the crypto world want Is that make a profit of 2X or 20X, he is manipulating the heart of these people.

Agree. He probably bought a lot of Doge and is cashing out in BTC to multiply his amount. Poor kids.

He's doing everything right. He growing his funds by that. People just need to think what are they doing and don't blindly buy BTC, DOGE or anything else.

Doge increased significantly recently within 2 to 3 days, but I noticed the price did retraced at some point, yet increased more later until it gotten to $0.459. People that invested at this peak for now will lose because the price has being declining, it decreased to $0.35, then to $0.31. it increased back to around $0.35 but people are more selling than buying now which still makes it to decrease back to $0.31. it is possible that doge price might still decrease, or maybe increase, but if someone is not careful this time, it is possible his/her funds will be lost as the price may retrace more for now.

Bitcoin can not be compared with doge, but people that invested early benefited from doge, but very volatile than bitcoin, if the market will starting retracing for now, doge coin will really be more affected, the reason I will prefer bitcoin.

As much as we hate Musk, we can't really stop him from shilling, at least he back it up when his company invested on bitcoin.

Pros and cons, if people can ride the hype and earn money then why not? For those who are going to get rekt, then so be it. At least they are going to learn a lot from it. Even if Musk tweet, it's up to us whether to react or not.

Dogecoin is actually just one of the shitcoins in the market. Its makers even said that they made it for fun. I don't know why but Elon Musk started manipulating especially Dogecoin.  ;D  And it looks like it will reach $1 soon. It's really frustrating to see that the cryptocurrencies are easily manipulated like this.

Chill out. Why its annoying for you? Because you dumped doge at 40 sat and now its 500? No worries I did the same XD The only difference is that I focus on my own bag. I focus on next opportunities. I focus on diversification. I focus on my life. I don't think about missed opportunities. I don't think about someone else gains made from price manipulation from using hard earned popularity and influence.

We cannot control anyone to stop promoting any coins. The famous people have the influence to move the market in their favor. I am sure that elon musk have gathered a lot of dogecoins and he is taking profits on every pump. We cannot stop elon musk from doing this but we can stop investing in dogecoin if we feel that this is a shit coin.

If people just ignore his shill the market won't be easily manipulated like that. The problem is the people that overhyped his tweet to the point that they take it as financial advice even though most of his tweet are just some obscure random tweet like just word "doge" or "moon" and people already go crazy all over him but you must realize that those people who follow him most likely just want to repeat and ride the bull run like what happened in the past while knowing that their money could pretty much lose and turns out they are right.
There's no need to get annoyed though, there are plenty of other coins out there.

Nothing new over here. Dogecoin has been constantly dumped and pumped before Elon even started tweeting about it. He does it just for the lulz and enjoys how people react to it. Look at his twitter . Memes and sarcastic posts. Now what's funny is that he isn't misleading anyone. He doesn't even shill or tell anyone to invest in dogecoin. On his last tweet he just said doge barking at the moon (it's actually the name of a painting he posted but called "dog barking at the moon" haha). People know what they are getting themselves into. They know it is all a joke yet they still invest so that they can profit from it. It's like everyone is aware that every time Elon tweets something with "doge" included, the price will get pumped and then dumped without any reason behind it.

It's fine that the coin grew in price. Of course, it resulted from speculations and there's nothing in Dogecoin that could reasonably justify this growth (such as new updates to a long abandoned project), but some people probably caught it early and profited greatly over the last few days. There's always some room for speculations, and I'm sure everyone knows that DOGE is a joke and can easily fall back down anytime. So Musk can write whatever he wants and do whatever he wants. After all, he does like the dog meme AFAIK, so it would be weird if he didn't give a little kick to DOGE once in a while.

And it catches those newcomers who are desperate of getting rich instantly without knowing what they invest.
Elon Musk is a smart guy and he proves it just how he manipulates the market especially for Dogecoin and lets people invest and he's gone.

Finally, we understand the purpose of having him in here and that to fool others for his own benefits. Maybe I'm sorry but that was what I look into him.
I'm not a fan of Elon, so it doesn't matter.

Before Elon Musk, the market has Jamie Dimon (CEO of JP Morgan) and John McAfee and some others. I don't see it is annoying but the beauty of crypto market.

Altcoins are pumped and dumped with news. News can be released on many channels and Twitter is one of channels which are used mostly by influencers.

Newbies have to pay cost to learn the market. They have to pay fees to learn market actions and practice to control their panic and FOMO decisions. Tweets from Elon Musk help them to learn faster in recent months.

Yeah man, I mean is this got too easy for Elon Musk to manipulate Doge? I'm not really sure about that. Even though he does like the memes, I think it seems quite strange that someone could easily influence the price massively. Doge has seen a very significant increase in the last few days, almost 400% and that's just because of the tweets? smh

It would be wrong if someone was waiting for a doge's tweet just to create a pump or hype, of course, the newcomers would come and wait for the tweet and there would be many trapped.

Even I am here to admit that the price of the doge has risen more sharply in a few days should not wait long, with a high price of $0.43 is a lot of someone stuck? Well you are not only person who thinks he is manipulating various things through his Twitter, at least if the SEC is asked in the case of his tweets regarding Tesla. He is simply addicted to social networks and loves to be the center of attention, and sometimes this brings him problems even with the law. I respect his business accomplishments, but we need to admit that like most rich people he is pretty weird in his behavior sometimes, which sometimes affects people close to him (his wife recently stated she wants to go to Mars and die there), and should I comment at all the name given to their child ::)



Beginners fall into traps every day, but EM is not the sole culprit for this - everyone should think for themselves and not listen to some famous and rich people playing on social networks.

Doge coin is the perfect candidate for Elon Musk to pump as it has no purpose aside from being a fun and meme project that is why it was so early for people to jump right in and bought it. I met a couple of people that were ready to buy immediately Elon Musk recommend ls or tweets about it. I consider those tweets to be very manipulative. People just blindly press those buy buttons once he tweets.

Things like this always happen within the Crypto Industry and some situations are not just seen just because an influencer is talking about it. Elon Musk is fine to talk about Cryptocurrencies because he is familiar with Financial Technology because of his creation of PayPal. His tweets and every words coming out from him is just his own opinion and tweeting about it is his freedom. It will be normal for us to feel sad if things like this happen and even though DogeCoin is just a meme coin, if it gets shilled by someone with great influence, things like this are expected to happen.

This is sad but I think that being mad that others are successful is not a characteristic of a good person, he should be happy that his bro got cheddar and also he should talk to his bro about his insecurities. To be honest, I am not annoyed with Elon doing this because you can actually use his shilling t your advantage, if he can move the market, follow the wave, the trendy ones are more successful.

We are in the same boat I guess because I used to like Elon Musk for his achievements and his growth from scratch.
But these days he has just become a shiller and pumping Doge. It's obvious that he is pumping Dogecoin since it is pumping in price after his tweet.
It would have made sense if Dogecoin was making development in their protocol but now it just looks like market manipulation.

Then the solution should be that, these market need a price to be paid before understanding the actual movement therein. Elon Musk's si growing his money around the cryptocurrency and Doge happen to be the shilling coin for that and people should understand him and never to follow their stupidity to fall into FOMO. There some other reputable public figure that do shill around with other coins, let the newbies learn from their mistakes about these tweets and never fall to them again, Elon Musk can't stop messing around with Dogecoin until we change our actions toward his FOMO.

Elon Musk will do this everywhere and always where there is at least some hint of the temporary popularity of the theme. He must maintain the image of a person who understands everything and is aware of all the latest trends and trends. If tomorrow tulip bulbs come into fashion again - believe Elon Musk will be there and start either selling them or somehow monetizing it. Get used if you are not used to it! :)

I am extremely annoyed by all the tweeting Elon has been doing about cryptocurrency.  Really I am annoyed most by the Doge coin tweets.  It amazes me how many people truly believe that he loves Doge coin.  I was arguing with someone yesterday telling them Doge has no utility and no future upside potential and they replied back something like "there's a reason Elon musk is such a Doge fan"... of course I responded letting them know that he is trolling and if he really loved Doge why didn't telson buy 1.5 billion of it and not bitcoin.  It's obnoxious but he gets a lot of attention for it ( which he loves ) so he's going to keep doing it.

Life is hard. Sometimes the thing will happen like that. If people are not greedy to follow every news to make money, they will not get into the trap and be wise to react. They will find out why that thing can happen and if they think that is manipulation, they will stay away or follow for their own benefits. Elon Musk has done his part, and the rest will be up to people, whether they will follow whatever Elon Musk say or people must analyze before they follow something.

Welcome to the crypto world. Pump and dump are normal in crypto. That is the the disadvantage of playing here in crypto. And that’s why many people also love crypto because there is no limit. We all have to learn how we will play in this case. I know it looks unfair, but let’s just go with the flow. Sell the news buy low sell high. In the end, we all want to take a profit. :)

Yes the market has changed course with the power of an ELON writing. If I look at the effect there are two sides. First, thank you for making more and more famous with you, so that more people will want to follow you and equal your wealth. Second, for beginners and even experienced traders it is a heavy temptation, fomo makes them take the wrong decision (maybe for some traders). Elon broke the technical tradition of the number of coins, the more the number of coins in circulation, the cheaper the price. Currently it does not apply to what Elon said or writing.

When you have the top coins in the market out of reach for a common man as the price is sitting at an all time high valuation, investors usually tend to look for coins that can be pumped in the short period and in the case of Doge Coin you cannot blame Elon Musk entirely as the big whales are behind the pump and if anyone fall for that then they are to be blamed and they will learn their experience and be careful next time  ;D.

It sums up perfectly, anyone who is hearing about the hype and then looking at the price of Doge which is not that huge and anyone who wants to try the market will purchase them seeing all the shilling and viola the market pumps 400% in a few short days and they are making a fortune and anyone calling these pumps and dump looks like fools as they make all the profit in the short term  :D.

He may not say it directly but he's obviously owning probably millions of Dogecoins that he has bought when it was ignored by most and there's attention drawn to it by the community. And being him as a very powerful and influential tech guy that we know.

Those tweets could be annoying because it leads newbie investors blindly. But that's it, this is the market, there will be a gainer and there will be a loser. I'm waiting for him to start to tweet bitcoin every day.

BTC will most definitely be affected for the better.
As the price of Doge rises, it means more bitcoin is required to offset it in the markets.
This cause BTC to be more scarce and increases it price verses fiat.

So a rising Tide will raise both Doge and BTC ships.

It is a win win for both , as the majority of the world can no longer afford BTC,
but they can afford Doge and that can lift both higher against fiat.  ;)

Remember Government Based Fiat is the enemy while mathematically derived crypto such as BTC and Doge are the salvation.

Well, I also believe that he had millions of doges that he owned when prices were low, but is now able to create extraordinary ones with Elon Musk's tweets.
Even many novice investors continue to blindly buy doges at high prices because they believe it will increase even further in the future, but there's no telling whether there is a big drop or it's not clear that much will trap when the price of the doge drops.
Elon Musk is one of the most influential people in crypto. I only notice when he talks about any coin that is sure to increase.

Ehhh, I do think Bitcoin is affected judging by how high the price is currently.

Of course, he chooses low coins, which are very easy to manipulate, as more than 10 billion dollars have been pumped into the dogecoin market in the past two days only, of course the whales are the first beneficiaries of this market manipulation, but to be honest there are many people who are happy with this manipulation because they have benefited. Significantly from this manipulation. I have seen this joy on many social media platforms talking about the Dogecoin infusion.

the influence is really too much but its much expected as i see it as preplanned. i see some people already leveraging on the influence to make good profits while majority are getting hurt especially newbies. this influencing is not actively done, its just like a sideline shilling and people take it up from there. i am sure there is still more come for doge through this influence.

I'm a BTC hodler since 2013. I also had my share of Doge and still own some today so no I'm not a newbie. I've seen a lot in my crypto journey can tell you that.

I honestly don't find anything wrong with Elon Musk's tweets supporting Dogecoin. But after reading this article I see where your concern comes from.
If those who buy Dogecoin are speculators, the terrible bubble could burst. Although Elon Musk is an intelligent man and he knows why he supports Dogecoin I do not think that he has any intention of producing something negative in the market.

This will be a scary investment for those who are really new in the crypto market. And those who will buy because Elon tweeted it. They should have other crypto fundamentals why they are doing it. Because once it collapses, they will curse Elon or the crypto market for no reason. And that will give them a big lesson when it comes to crypto. What Elon is doing is just making awareness about the existence of doge. For all we know, he doesn't have any big intentions at all. He is also just another person that believes in doge.

It is sad to see how his tweets cause ups and downs in the crypto sphere. And if you go through the replies that follows it, you see newbies complaning about how they lost their money. He is bringing more people into crypto but not properly and with the wrong mentality. This is why some people call out on crypto as ponzi scheme. Very Sadly.

Sad indeed but people should understand that this is how most Business people do, Even though I believe that if Elon Musk truly have invested in Dogecoin, it most have been well long before now and all this constant tweets about Dogecoin making this ups and downs in the market is just a way of taking out profits IMO and the problem is many will get reckt in the process but what do they care as long as they make their profits.

Elon Musk can't hurt Doge's reputation because there aren't a lot of people who take it serious. Doge is a meme pump-and-dump coin for most.

sometimes this kind of thing for some people makes them profit, but some people make them lose. because as we know, many beginners are trapped by the news of elon musk. so we have to think smart in the future, whether this has the potential for us or just temporary hype

Damn guys, you should look at his tweets as a long-term strategy and not short term gains. All of his projects fit together into a much bigger picture ...just look at the Tesla for instance.... he built the car and then backed it up with the massive electric battery factories and then the "Power wall" project and also the "SpaceX" project in the future, that would rely heavily on advanced batteries.

His space exploration are also linked to Starlink, that brought low latency, broadband internet system to consumers across the globe. So everything fits together....

So in future, he will need a Crypto currency for interstellar commerce or he will use Crypto currencies to fund some more projects quickly. (So he is telling people what he is doing with tweets and they can benefit from that too)  ;)

This pump on DOGE may feel insane but there is no reason it cannot go up in value as a cheap coin which several of the newbies will buy as their first crypto. I like the reasoning that Elon's tweet have a lot more method to the madness than we like to believe.

This pattern of behavior is not new for Musk. He has a tendency to side with the underdog. He had pro-GME tweets when wallstreetbets was coordinating the Gamestop squeeze by asking people to buy small amounts. The DOGE reddit is going through something similar. At the end of the day, it is your money to bet. If you end up winning, you can thank yourself. If you end up losing then too you gotta just blame yourself.

Just remember that there is no way to predict this market. Nobody knows when BTC will go down due to a flash dump by whales who will get a whiff of some negative legislation by SEC or someone else. We, the retail investors are the last to know. So put only what you can afford to lose. Targets, targets.

Well, we can't blame him because as investors with a lot of followers he is just doing what he needs to do and that is to make a profit. However, of course, those people who can be easily tricked are the ones that are in disadvantages as they losing a sum of their money. Hype in this market is nothing new, that is why for you to cope with trend just ride with it but make sure to know your limits because once they made an exit everything will fall. Being aware and smart are the prerequisites in this kind of market. This hype is proof that the crypto market can be manipulated in some sort.

Yeah, it's very dangerous for the people who are new in this market. Because they usually don't have a lot of information about cryptocurrencies and they just want to believe in the opinions of this kind of influential people. I really don't like that cryptocurrencies can be easily manipulated with only the statements of people like Elon Musk.

It is not Elon Musk who is messing up the cryptocurrency market. Blame the current state on stupid investors, who make their decision based on a single tweet by someone who has hardly any knowledge about cryptocurrency. When a cryptocurrency such as Dogecoin moves up in percentage terms 10 times more than Bitcoin (which is the original cryptocurrency), then you know that there is something wrong in the market. My assumption is that too many stupid people have become rich as a result of the current bull run and many of them are pouring their money in to shitcoins.

This is what happens because of people trading, according to the words of this man. Cryptocurrencies have become very open to manipulation. This is dangerous.

Since there are frequent tweets from prominent people, especially Elon Musk, making cryptocurrency prices seem centralized by one particular party which can move and reverse the crypto price in the market easily. well, when the decline is almost impossible in all markets, only stable coins like USDT have survived the fall in price. look at the current price of USDT, look no further, it continues to give other altcoin jealousy.

I think Elon is someone knowledgeable enough to target with many well-planned plans.  If traveling with blindness should fasten seat belts.  Elon isn't the one responsible for the fomo from the tweets but for Doge alone it's the most ridiculous fiction I've ever known.  They have used it as a support based on its broad community.

Making money in DOGE's case is pretty easy. Just buy and average the spot price, away from derivatives like Margin or derivatives will give you enough basic security to win in this market.
DOGE has old technology but the community and Elon Musk's frequent shilling is great for DOGE holders.
I don't know how many DOGEs Elon Musk bought, but he's making people happy with profits.

I was a HUUGE Dogecoin supporter between 2013-2016 but not anymore because I don't like what this coin has become.

Yes, whenever he drops a tweet about Dogecoin then that will be a sure pump that everyone else is waiting for. It's like a waiting game for those investors for his tweets and there could be the thinking that it only has to take one tweet for him to pump the recent price.

Now because of him, there were predictions that they think will make Dogecoin at a higher price. But if you sum up its supply and possible future price, it needs a big amount market cap as an additional.

Obviously, DOGE is manipulated and if 12 people who own more than 50% of DOGE sell their coins, it will be a real disaster. A crypto meme that ranks No. 6 on the market cap is the crazy thing I've ever seen. It was like an insult to remaining serious development projects.
I believe DOGE will soon die as XVG did in 2018.

I was an avid Dogecoin supporter and I don't hate the coin, but I hate what it has become.

1 million BTC is not more than half according to math. Even if he sells those BTC will survive, but Dogecoin is a highly manipulative market.

And while it was affordable then, it has not really been affordable for normal people since 2017.

Saying you hate Doge because a few hundred users own a larger share,
do you hate stocks because others own more of it than you, your dislike is misplaced.

This is very dangerous if more traders will follow him blindly, without any DYOR it will harmed the entire industry as he can
simply say the magic words then the whole crowd will follow.

Manipulations are very common with this kind of setup, it's important to learn how to investigate and keep doing your assessment
before you follow whoever known personalities are there to support any project.

How could jokes and opinions be considered market manipulation? As far as I know Elon Musk isn't promising any returns to crypto investors, he just shares his views and actions inside crypto market in his social media. Any other person could do the same. Well, may be you're just one among the handful of people watching market movement who aren't happy with Elon tweeting about certain cryptos. The reason is simple and not far fetched — It's simply because you don't have the coins — Bitcoin and Dogecoin, that Elon Musk is promoting. Those who've those coins are pleased with him. By the way, Elon hasn't done anything wrong or could be termed manipulative by tweeting about those coins. Except someone is going to prove to me that it's now a crime being wealthy. I was reading John McAffee story related to XVG promotion and what Musk is doing now with Dogecoin doesn't seem to be very different, any thoughts on this? Sounds like market manipulation to me in both cases.

It is not juts Elon Musk. A lot of celebrities have tweeted about Dogecoin and this has resulted in pumps on several instances. Obviously many of these celebrities were owning DOGE and they gained form the pump that resulted from their tweets. Elon's case is different. He don't own any DOGE in his wallet and although he has tweeted about this coin, he hasn't recommended it to anyone or claimed that it is a good coin to invest in.

We can now see how powerful Elon Musk could be, he can really manipulate the market by simply making a tweet, a lot of followers of Elon Musk and most of them are beginners so they can easily trust what Elon Musk is saying, some people may consider him as a financial advisor as they are always waiting for his tweet and got hoped once he mentioned one currency. Even though he is just manipulating it for only a few days we can still earn as well from it as we can see how can he did those things from Dogecoin.

Because there are differences between these two people and I did remember someone from Tesla saying that their entry into cryptocurrency is to get funding for their science projects. On top of that, once the prices peak, it is not going to be easy to convert all that cryptocurrency back to fiat. That's the problem to many investors. They believe that celebrities doesn't do any crap that is wrong and they're driven by that kind of mindset.

What I see is that Elon actually supports the function of bitcoin as an alternative payment means. I wouldn't blame elon's tweets with their doge pump, but here we learn that as more and more crypto users increase, their knowledge is weak and only depends on the influencer's outlook.

The issue here is not with Elon Musk's tweets. The problem is with people or newbies as you mentioned, who blindly follow his tweets.
Elon Musk is just doing what any man who has influence will do. If I had that much influence as Musk, I'd make these tweets as well.
There's really not much one can do about these newbies who just follow any tweets blindly. They don't understand that it's just a pump and dump strategy and you're most likely to lose your money if you're not very careful.
If you really want to make the most of the market, don't wait for Musk's tweets, learn trading by yourself and you'd be make to make rational decisions by yourself.

Elon is definitely out of control and the power that money has brought him clearly went to his head. He is a very manipulative and erratic person. Why else would you name your kid "X Æ A-12" and destine them to a life of ridicule? He is the equivalent of a hyperactive toddler in charge of multi-billion dollar businesses, he just happened to strike it lucky by being part of Paypal during it's early days and the massive amount of transaction fees it generated. While I have some respect for him funding endeavors like Space X, he should show more respect for laws - it was bordering on insider trading and market manipulation when he pretended to have sold parts of Tesla to burn out the short sellers. Sadly the regulators are acting too weak and ineffective to punish him correctly, the only way he might learn now is large fines on his personal wealth.

Well, i'm not finding his tweets annoying though, in fact i'm quite grateful for him because he made bitcoin even more popular and spread it to common people who never knew about crypto before. However, it's true that many newbies are coming to this world because of elon musk, but it's not his responsibility of how they do here i guess. He's memeing but you have to keep in mind that he does this with some kind of motive. He bought bitcoin so he knows he has some semblance and reputation in the market. You are forgetting the fact that his tweets only had a limited impact on Bitcoin. When he tweeted that Bitcoin looks overpriced, the price went down for a short while, but it recovered very soon. On the other hand, the bull run was triggered by real market incidents, such as adoption of cryptocurrency by PayPal and the purchase of BTC by Tesla. We don't need to give too much importance to the tweets by Elon Musk on Bitcoin prices, because in reality they didn't had much of an impact. That said, his tweets succeeded in pumping some of the shitcoins, such as Doge.

If he does that on purpose and people find out he has a lot of Dogecoins this is a very risky business and I wouldn't like to be in his place. Market manipulation is forbidden by law he should already know that.

This is why I never wanted all these big guys to be part of the cryptocurrency market, I just wanted the market to be just small investors so that the coins will be shared properly and there wouldn’t be all these big guys that will come in and buy up half of the coins in the market and leave the small amount of the shares to the small investors! What you say only proved that his tweets has a huge impact on Bitcoin. You already showed two examples how few simple words influence on the whole market. I would add the case when he used a #bitcoin hashtag in his twitter profile and Bitcoin immediately gained few thousands. And this is just a tweet impression on the market. Imagine him making an article or talking on TV about Bitcoin. This could easily destroy Bitcoin or put it on the same level as top fiat currencies. But in this case worlds government will react immediately by banning or prohibiting holding it, to protect fiat from uncontrolled danger.

The appearance of elon musk in the space has caused loads of unbelievable activities. firstly, we have seen the likes of shitcoin making waves and people cahing out in the blink of an eye and then other projects have leveraged on the elon musk idea to create other shitcoins and its not a good one at all.

I think influenced people need to stop doing something that can make people fall into this. they somehow impact some coin in the market and if they doing it wrong it makes people suffer big losses because many people now do investment not from the project being offered. but from the influencers they like.

I'm too a close follower of Elon Musk and all of his projects. He have one of the most progressive vision and business strategy but many times he act just like a kid. Specially with his twitts. I'm glad he's into crypto and loves it but boasting his holding, talking about some specific coins and calling himself the kryptoking is not the best thing. Yes, just mentioning a certain cryptocurrency to them causes a significant demand among people for it. Apparently he is very amused by this. In general, it stimulates this market to grow. People themselves should think about what they are doing and be responsible for their actions.

There are also a lot of meme tokens that has been created and boom because of the tweets of Elon Musk. I have been including myself on such memetokens on binance smart chain which most of the tokens are created solely on the tweets created by Elon. But I don't consider what I'm doing as trading but rather as gambling since its a pump and dump scheme and it's rarely to see these tokens to go long term.

Don't you see that dogecoin is overvalued. MCobian can earn money from doge because he is one of the early investors. But when the correction occurs, doge will drop significantly due to being overvalued. And Elon Musk does not have any fault in this situation. People just use his words to manipulate the market. For Elon Musk, I also see no problem for him to choose Dogecoin. He looks doing it very well, buying Doge and spread positive news about it. Then the price goes up and he can take big profits. But for others who just follow the hype, may fall into the trap of pump-dump because of Elon's tweets. However, I agree if we cannot blame him, I am sure he doesn't invite others to follow him. I personally wouldn't want Elon to stop his cryptic tweets. This has already turned into a kind of game and indicator for stock players that when Elon Musk makes his tweet, the players back pay attention to the coin and the coin makes a pump. Well, we can't do anything about that actually, we cannot make him stop from doing such manipulations but it does really affect the price movement at some point. We can give advices to the newbies with regards to his tweets but we can't always guarantee that we are right or they will listen. His actions makes significant impact in the market considering how big of a person he is not only in the crypto industry. Manipulating doge maybe yes but I doubt he could be considered "manipulating" bitcoin market, he has influence but doesn't necessarily means he's manipulating it, the market itself could go up without even the help of elon musk but maybe not this high, even stocks are usually influenced by statements of some famous people as well but there's no one complaining of manipulation. Therefore if same thing happened to crypto more specifically bitcoin where the value keep increasing because of elon hype, it's simply because most of people are welcoming it.

Exactly and I say that manipulation is not a bad thing to have in this market because the more of it we have the more resilient the market participants are going to become against such manipulations.
For example a panic seller who sold their bitcoin because of some FUD and lost a lot of money on reversal is going to think twice when the next time they spread some FUD again. That diminishes the effects of FUD in general.

It should not be a shock if you check the number of coins in existence in Doge as well as in Ripple and when you have a rally that is beyond our imagination then you are bound to see crazy capital and moving up the rankings. No one would have thought Doge would be in the top 4 let alone in the top 10. The crash would be huge, anyone holding them will make a fortune.

As I said from the beginning, people like Elon have no benefits to the market, but harms. As long as people buy believing the word of such people, they will lose money in my opinion. They may win in the short term, but they will lose money in the long run.

This is also my sentiment. A lot of newbie learned crypto because of him shilling doge and most of these newbies don't know the background of dogecoin at all. They just jumped the hype train not knowing what they are going into. I can't understand why everyone is so up in arms against Elon Musk? This guy supported the market much more with his statements than the facts of buying and then selling 10% of the bought bitcoins. His twitter statements clearly show this. Thanks to his statements and position, the community of cryptocurrency users is expanding, which in my opinion is valuable in itself. in my opinion, the effect that makes the price of a coin can change quickly because the coin has a very useful function for everyone so that many people want to buy the coin.
Elon Musk has sent a message that the price of Dogecoin will go up much higher, on the other hand people think that only Elon Musk affects the price of Dogecoin, actually there are other factors that make the Dogecoin price go higher than before.
I got information that Dogecoin went up due to the debut of the Coinbase crypto wallet on the US stock exchange, Wall Street, where the US virtual currency exchange on Coinbase has reached a market capitalization of US $ 100 billion.

By the way, he kept going as he just tweeted whether Tesla should accept DOGE. The question is rhetorical because he will allow for payments in DOGE anyway. It would be fun to see him announcing that Tesla now also is holding DOGE.

No one is denying the fact that Elon Musk is at least partially responsible for the bull run. He was also behind the decision by Tesla to purchase Bitcoin worth $1.5 billion in January 2021. Also, he played his part in Telsa's decision to accept Bitcoin as a payment method for its EVs. So I would say that Elon Musk has done a lot of great things for Bitcoin. But during the last few weeks, his behavior has been disappointing. He has again and again propped up shitcoins such as Doge. He is free to do so, but I don't know whether this is very ethical.

I hate Elon Musk as much as anyone else here. What's all the complaining about Musk for? Crypto has been sky rocketing since the beginning of the year and it was long overdue for a correction. Look at the crypto market. They're all down. If you think Musk is responsible, you should be thanking him for making it more affordable. Good investors buy on the lows, not the highs.

Well, we hope so, --because as I can see here, he was triggered smallholders to become scared and continue of their FUD. Perhaps that is the reason why the bitcoin price until now did not recover from the dip loss. They prefer to buy top coins that have more value and supported by strong teams. While Doge has no strong team and seems not really promising to buy for a long-term holding. So, how can most investors prefer to buy a coin like Doge? It is not true.

See how the fortunes can change in a few days time. Till April, Elon Musk was widely regarded as a hero by many of the cryptocurrency users and everyone were talking about him in high regard. And everything changed upside down within a few days (or a few tweets). Now he has also realized the extent of damage done by him. Right from the first they Elon musk twitted about bitcoin i believe that's not really a good idea because I believe bitcoin will later be hijacked by billionaires which will later lead to manipulation of altcoins, I believe it will really affect altcoins because the price will just keep on dumping always and I believe must people it's going to affect are the newbies people that are new in Cryptocurrency and don't really know how things work might end up losing there money and getting discouraged which is very bad. Elon musk should just leave cryptocurrency for us so that bitcoin can really go back to the way it was before.

In my opinion, Elon Musk is desperate,  from a number of many very important businessmen with global influence he was the only who tried to make money by manipulating the cryptomarket  in public. Everybody else even if he did he did it from the shadows without risking his business reputation.

The fact that Musk did it in public and he involved Tesla on this, in my opinion is a proof that his business is in desperate financial position. The models show his business is going to bankrupt within the next 1-2 years unless something changes very dramatically and this is why he involved Tesla on this, in order to produce this change!

Agreed, investors are only attracted to top coins and if they follow the hype just for short term take profit, then leave them and never hold that coin. The top coins are the right choice and are more guaranteed to last in the long run because they have a strong team to build better projects in the future.

what you are saying is the undeniable truth, but the main fault is with his followers and who still believe the tweets he did. if they don't take any action that makes the crypto market so volatile it would be very wise, but this they are following the directions that are said to make the crypto market really go down. where instead he receives the benefits derived from what is said.

Honestly speaking, Elon's remarks about bitcoin wouldn't affect the market that much if only newbies will learn to ignore his tweets and do real technical analysis. Elon is obviously trying to put the market wrapped around his fingers. He wanted to gain wealth by using his popularity.

One of the mistakes usually beginners do is that they tend to value others opinion rather than working on their own. Hence, a lot are losing than gaining because they mostly follow the gossips and hype. As an investor/trader, we shall not rely our decision making to other people's financial advice most especially if it involves large amount of money. Unless of course that certain person you'll follow is a professional and you've done your part researching what would happen if things don't go the way you planned it.
