Reason: my totally SOMA scenario is that 72k will be broken in late May/early June. The bearwhales are pushing down ATM, but they won't be able to go much below 50k for any significant length of time.

There will be consolidation and sideways until August. So my guess is that price will stay in the 72k neighborhood for about 3 months. In September there will be firework set up, and who knows where we will be by year's end?

Reason is because much more whales might not yet be involved, Tesla made people to sell, the price was below $47000, while the price rose back to $50000. The $50000 support is so strong while $60000 resistance is also so strong. The price will likely still remain between $50000 to $60000, but I guess $50000 will be the price at the time.

You know how it goes: happy wife, happy life :D So that's "my" pick :P Besides, I've said several times now that "I should have listened to my wife" when she mentioned buying or selling, so this year I'm following her suggestions.

Reason: I am just being optimistic here and like the look of this speficic number.

I will refrain from making forecasts based on support and resistance lines and will build on the main events. Firstly, I think we will not see a significant rise or correction in prices over the next two months due to the ongoing rainy season in China. Secondly, the end date of this cult event is quite far from the key dates associated with Taproot, (let's see how events unfold, and good luck to everyone!).

I won't use TA but rather the hype surrounding other altcoins currently. Most of the money are still being channeled through these altcoins as of late (ETH, Doge, etc.) and bitcoin is in kind of a stagnant position wherein volume isn't great but daily trading action is still there. I'm hoping for a huge bitcoin rise, though at the same time, things are not really looking too good for that to happen.

I'd say $56,700 is a good price to settle in, considering that most price changes are in between $58,000 and $55,000 in the last few weeks.

$43k, which apparently makes me super bearish looking at the other entries so far :)

Reason: I believe we are looking at a less dramatic version of the 2013 double bubble, where Bitcoin is going to retest lower support levels for a couple of months before breaching new ATHs later this year. My timing for that specific number is probably off, but I do believe we'll have to revisit the low 40s before (re)breaking the 60s. Additionally the low 40s would coincide with the price levels of when Elon's pumping begun, so it might be an indicator of what the market deemed a fair price level before the Tesla hype kicked in as catalyst.

It's been a while since I have played one of these. This is more of a "turbo" as we are talking about a very short timeframe.  Our current bull is in a stalled/consolidation phase.  This could EASILY continue and BTC could be at 0 change +/- 5% as some here are predicting.  But I am going to take a bet that the Elon pop is analagous to one of the moving average touchdowns from previous bull markets, and we should shortly see the price moving up again from here.  I am going to use this time frame from Sep-Oct 17 as am analog for May-June 21.

Using ~47k as a bottom that puts us at 88125

Now let us consider the previous touchdown from 17 in July...

Using ~47k as a bottom that puts us at 106830.

Now... Some models take into account that each bull market has a smaller raw increase than the last.  Using voodoo I can say 2 halvings ago might have shown a 36x rise (~30-1100), the last halving a 18x (1100-20k), so lets assume we halve the multiple again. 

We shall apply that scale difference by taking my two numbers above, average them and then divide the difference by half and adding that to the approximate touchdown price this time around, and voila there is our number:

Reason: We know that Bitcoin price has no infinite growth and it will always have a correction after it will be pumped.
I followed this Bitcoin Price Prediction (https://longforecast.com/bitcoin-price-predictions-2017-2018-2019-btc-to-usd) for years and it seems their forecast almost accurate and based on their prediction on this month of June this year, it's around $35k-53k range so I choose $49.5k for Bitcoin price.

My ability to predict the price isn't great at the best of times, but I've been especially uncertain lately. There are strong bearish forces:
 - Institutional money cares a lot about ESG virtue signalling, and I think that the "Bitcoin is not ESG" meme will grow, though I'm not sure to what extent.
 - Any regulatory news is much more likely to be bad than good, and could be very bad. Even just pressure on eg. Robinhood to reduce the "gamification" of investing could hurt BTC to some extent.
 - BTC tends to be correlated with high-risk things (eg. TSLA shares), and these have been falling for a variety of reasons.
 - Interest rates may rise, which makes BTC less attractive because there's less easy money floating around, the far-future prospect of "BTC takes over the world" gets discounted to a lower present value, safer returns are possible elsewhere, etc.
 - A lot of the recent FOMO in all markets may have been due to people being stuck inside, going a bit crazy, with more time and money than usual. This is ending.
 - There's a ton of money held by old hodlers. A lot of these will be tempted to at least incrementally sell as the price goes higher, and they may especially be tempted to panic sell if one day they're a multi-millionaire and the next they're worried that they're going to lose everything due to a sharp price drop (ie. panic selling could cause a small correction to turn into a bloodbath). On top of that, there is an absolutely huge amount of unrealized capital gains held by US Bitcoiners who will want to realize these gains before any significant capital gains tax increases. In fact, Bitcoin is probably the single traded asset that you'd expect to be most affected by Biden's proposed capital gains tax increase. (I predict that the capital gains tax will increase to 30% for $1M+, non-retroactive: less than Biden's proposal, but still enough of an increase to make realizing your gains this year very attractive.)
 - A lot of the money in BTC is pure speculation: the kind of people who see absolutely no difference between DOGE and BTC, for example, and would be happy to pile onto anything that will get them to the moon ASAP. This money is easy-come, easy-go.
 
But there are also strong bullish forces:
 - Institutional money really wants to get into BTC, viewing it as a unique new asset class. This is only one small bullet point in my list, but the interest from large piles of money to shift some of it into BTC is immense.
 - Huge companies are now holding BTC and even accepting it for goods/services. If companies actually started trading in BTC instead of USD, that'd be extremely bullish.
 - Crypto trading is a large, integral component of retail trading now, to an extent that I think has not been fully realized by the market. Many people would rather give up stock trading than crypto trading, if they had to choose. Paypal, Robinhood, and even traditional brokerage firms will expand their BTC offerings. The more accessible BTC buying gets, the higher the price is likely to go.
 - The "interest rates" offered by eg. BlockFi are extremely attractive, and I think that more companies such as Robinhood will soon offer similar things.
 - There's clearly strong "buy the dip" support from somewhere, since it's seemed several times that the price wanted to crash, but it was stopped.
 - Even though I listed it as a possible bearish factor, I don't actually think that interest rates will move substantially higher. In fact, I could see the US entering something of a recession in fall due to a "hangover" from the ridiculous fiscal and monetary stimulus. Low growth = low rates and a search for growth in more speculative areas like BTC. And there's still an unbelievable amount of fiat floating around, looking for somewhere to go.
 - In addition to being viewed as an aggressive speculative asset, BTC can also be viewed as defensive: similar to gold, it's a hedge against the fiat world falling apart. The money-printing over the last year has made it plain to more and more people that fiat is a joke, and it's likely IMO that before the year is over there will be some serious problems with the fiat economy.

By the end of the year, both $25k and $100k are about equally believable IMO...

BTC has seemed pretty comfy in the $50k-$60k range. It tends to get pushed up rapidly whenever there are big drops. However, over the next few months I'm a little more fundamentally bearish than bullish, and technically I also get the sense that there's more downward pressure than upward pressure. IMO, until ~fall we're most likely to be going up and down in a wide range with a slight negative slope. Something like this (I realize that this is not proper technical analysis: I'm drawing the lines where they feel right to me, not based on proven support/resistance or any math):

For now there is upward pressure whenever it goes below $50k, but this could be fully broken by Jun 21. I guess $48,777.

Interesting analysis, Theymos.  A lot rings true.  I still think we are looking at a very bullish last quarter this year, but I can't help nodding in agreement at the rough ride we'll have getting there.

I don't like giving Theymos a merit point for obvious reason he does not need them.  But it is very well thought out and reasonable set of numbers.

Especially doge = BTC and BTC = Doge concept as it is true to a lot of people.

If you are looking for a coin that is well backed by asics BTC is king but LTC/DOGE has a very solid power use base.

My partners develop solar fields in New Jersey and to act as a tool to make a larger solar array mining BTC is pretty much equal to LTC/DOGE.

Analysis:

Ok guys i have put all my calculus, geometry, trigonometry, economics and math's knowledge into it and I spent well over one hour to process all the data and come to this price (source code also available on request if someone want to enhance, by source code i mean the excel sheet and notepad++).

I tried to used Guess 2/3 of the average (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guess_2/3_of_the_average), any one guessing $0 or $1 million by 21 Jun 2021 that will be rational. I can suppose that all the players are rational so it's based on the "common knowledge of rationality of all players".

Finally in school my math teacher told me "The weighted arithmetic mean is similar to an ordinary arithmetic mean (the most common type of average), except that instead of each of the data points contributing equally to the final average, some data points contribute more than others. The notion of weighted mean plays a role in descriptive statistics and also occurs in a more general form in several other areas of mathematics."

Reason: Of course this is a SOMA prediction. Anything can happen, even continuation of the falling wedge down to 40K area in the next month. But I feel that the next scenario is what WILL happen:

The last crash caused by Elon's tweet removed most of the hidden liquidity in terms of BTC's (i.e. not placed in the books), which belonged to the trend followers - the weakest hands. This finished a pattern known as a falling wedge inside a bull run, so we can expect an upward breakout in the next month. This time Bitcoin will fly past the 60K "resistance" like a knife through butter. The average Joes will be encouraged by this and will join the ride. May be around 82K there will be some 25% pullback (whales cashing out for villas and yachts), hence the number I've chosen. I expect 100K to be broken this summer. Reason? Well, I have my own theory regarding this drama. Elon, being a good businessman, is doing everything possible to lower the price before buying another good chunk for himself. I see!  I am glad I asked as I did not anticipate that as a possible answer at all.

BUT...  I have 2 sats to pitch in on this discussion.

I think there should be NO RULE limiting ANYONE for picking any price at whatever granularity you choose for the game to employ.  Partly because this is actually a strategic aspect.  It puts strategic bits into the timing of your selection for example. Being the first to predict in a game has benefits/costs as does waiting until the last moment.  I think it makes it fun to see people either be aware of these issues, or not, or as in my case, not care.

If you ever DO try to limit close together guesses (if you keep doing these!)  I would suggest just making the granularity chunkier.  Like saying "to the nearest $10".

The only downside is the ability for players to collude to put another player at a disadvantage.  For example a miserable BSV shill can pick something like, say, 33,333, and two other players can pick 33,332 and 33,334 thereby limiting the chances he will win significantly.  But this is self limiting as you then need TWO people willing to basically throw their vote.

It's fun thinking about the theory behind a mic-game!
