These sort of scams have been going on for several years now, and huge number of people have lost their life savings. If you check my threads, you can see that I had posted about a very similar scam more than a year ago:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5234450.msg54070831

This particular scam has used almost exactly the same methodology. And this is what we can do from our part, to prevent people from falling in to such scams. Check the post from btc_angela:

Right, there's a lot of scams going on that for a very long time.

@DroomieChikito maintains a thread about it [Warning] Phishing Cryptocurrency Website (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5197078.0)

Everyone can report it here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/?hl=en

This is a common thing if there are lots of greedy people wanna get fast money. It's not only that. I think that you are also familiar with the scam give away that always getting spammed into the various tweets created by the big names in crypto and there were lots of people falling into this shit scam old trick.
So many people just care with the profit and they didn't even think about what whether that's a scam or not.

It is very good to know that the OP already have alerted us about this scam. Very fishy way to get money if you are going to ask me. I mean how the hell these people weren't able to see what a scam that was. I mean they should have already seen that the scheme is too good to be true and also unrealistic really. They should have asked others for legitimacy and now the website no longer works and he is gone with their coins. Off to cash them out or something.

Where's the proof if those money come from other people? different address doesn't mean different people that use it, 1 person could generate and using 10 address or even 1000 if he want.

He can create new address and send money to his scam address to make people were think it's legit since the address has been received many big amount money there.

Until you ask each owner of the address, you can't know the truth.

This is really pathetic and I really feel for those and anyone foolish enough to fall for this type of scams, but again, this type of scam are meant for greedy people which means, it is only the greedy ones that fall for this type of scam.
Some one who is contented and patient would not fall for this because he or she already know that no form of investment in crypto brings in 100 percent profit under or within 24 hours except one is lucky to jam a very hard pump which will at the end dump.

But again, just like @jawhead999 said, we can't really be sure real people actually transfered those amount of dogecoins to that wallet, the transfers we see could actually be done by the scammer himself to make people think that other people are actually interested in what he(the scammer) has to offer, thereby making people think the stuff is legit, I've been a victim of this type of scam before though not in crypto but Forex trading.

Honestly these are the kind of scams that give crypto a bad name because people are promised riches and people are quick to put some money into these schemes not knowing its a scam, its unfortunate that people don't understand that there is no such a business that will pay you more than 100% in a short time for doing nothing.

Guys let's invest some time to do some research into such projects selling dreams.

Those people who get scammed like this are probably people who have a lot of money. Imagine depositing $5000 to an unknown service that nobody reviews about, and if there's a "too good to be true" type of thing, why not people are utilizing it? They are the ones gullible enough to think that there's some free money.

I hope they learn their ways and realize that it's better to check out what other sites are doing those things and probably do thorough research before doing anything else.

Scammers are getting way too creative in convincing people. Some are even creating fake websites to scam people out of their money. I mean, imagine letting someone deposit in an unknown exchange to get it out or something. That's just scammy.

The website is no longer online and I think that's already it. If that website is a doubler or cloud mining then he has already exited the scam and those victims will not be able to find the owner of that website anymore. But there's no proof to know that website is used for that until someone provides any detail about it and has the proof to say that website was used for scamming people. Just for the sake of the newbies, don't believe with quick money and profits on the internet because you'll never know if you're not aware of the scam schemes, you guys will be the next victim of these scammers if you don't take the notion of the warnings that the people of the forum are sending to you.

Scams exist everywhere and not just in cryptocurrency sector. The problem with cryptocurrency is that we have huge numbers of new users, who never listen to anyone. The scammers take advantage out of their inexperience and greed, and make them send their hard earned coins on various ponzis and fake projects. Anyone who is new to cryptocurrency should spend a few hours to learn the basic technology and how to avoid scams. A few basic precautions are all that is needed to keep your coins safe from the criminals.

The problem with cryptocurrency is that there are a lot of scam operations that are happening.

Most newcomers and gullible investors are willing to risk their money to trust these kinds of people.

I suggest that you always do your research and avoid jumping into the scam bandwagon.

What I can say? That scam has being going around for years and despite all of this people keep falling to it, look I could understand that someone fell into the scam and lost 10 or 20 dollars, I know this particular scam requires you to send way more money than that but you can find multipliers like the one you are describing which accept less, and in that case you will still get burned but your loss will be very small and you will have learned your lesson, but by participating in this scam and sending so much money I have no doubt that many people have ruined their lives chasing an opportunity they should have known was not true.

I can't open the site whether it's still working or not.
If there is anything suspicious, especially with the word "giveaway" with 2x returns then it can be said that scammers have even happened to Dogecoin and several other coins they want beginners to deposit money to the address provided even though clearly this is like a Ponzi scheme in return. that multiplies, so avoid it and notify other newbies.

So protect your funds from this kind of danger if other people don't know, then a giveaway like this for those who don't know might be tempting.

First four comments are calling the victims greedy and nothing about the filthy scammers. I can avoid scammers others don't, and yes the people that got scammed were greedy, but we are all in this because we are greedy too.
To a beginner something that you know it is a scam, it looks like an opportunity. And nope, I wasn't ever scammed in crypto to have a reason to defend others.
The OP is write though, these people are not the most clever and this is obvious since they are in Doge at these kind of prices.

The site is no longer active and I would love to know how he tricked people into sending money into it. I really admire his ability to make money because many people have money and are still being scammed.
In a scam, there are two indispensable components, the scammer and the person being cheated. We should not blame this guy but should also blame the people who naively sent money to the site because of greed.
I believe he is arrested for his behavior one day because the money he earned is dirty and they must be exposed by the law.

A lot of them are actually after for the benefit of earning more money, however, that will not be the case, as they will be screwed. I guess, someone already reported the site, the reason why it is now down. But he may have had gotten some money from others before they realize that it is a scam. For those that are not familiar with scam or ponzi techniques, they are usually the victims of this strategy.

Like I always say, "a fool and his money soon parted" is a great sentence and it is a very true sentence as well. Think about it, there are so many people in the world who doesn't know the value of money and they end up doing nothing at all valuable with their money but to fall on scams. This is a very obvious scam and anyone who has even a double digit IQ would know that it is a scam, yet some people fall for it, this dude became very rich thanks to very idiot people.

I have to say I have been in the crypto world for over 8 years and only fell for a scam once in my life, and that was with a very very tiny amount of money (8 dollars) as well, so basically I never fall for scams, not because I am super smart, but because I am careful about these type of things, I just find the most secure and known place and only work with them without taking risks like these.

Many people specially on the part of the newbies have always been victimized by this kind of scams coming from those fake give aways that I mostly see on Telegram and even on Twitter that as soon enough leaving the social media platform after they have acquired their goal and that is to raise funds for their own. This just shows how people can easily be fooled by those too good to be true schemes coming from scam give aways expecting that once they do what they have been asked for is they will gain what exactly have been promised. Well, such sort of things are impossible to happen.

because scammers do make good plans to deceive anyone. Moreover, for every wallet ownership, we cannot know how many wallets everyone has. manipulation and scammers can happen in this market. we must remain careful and do not be influenced by others.

For someone new to crypto, someone who has no experience in crypto will send their Dogecoin expecting it to return. The worse time to have no money is when there is a crisis but people are still sending it to an obvious scam. Influenced by others as well because someone testifies the got their Doge doubled will make doge holder send.

^ many beginners are trapped by the influence of words like this, Dogecoin is on attracting many people. there is not much we can do to avoid this scam, my best advice is we should spread this scam site to all social media so that others know that this is just a scam.

we are in an era that is very easy to reach anything, if someone is trapped in this site it means that he is too greedy and easily fooled to lure double investment, a smart investor will not be easily affected by something like this.

The worst part is that it's never going to stop and there's no way to track this. He will probably just use a decentralized exchange to exchange all this Doge coin and get all the money clean with mixer. It's just another typical scam to be aware of though. There's literally hundreds of it spread out in the internet.

There are actually many clueless people investing to these kind of coin because of getting talked by their close friend into or even just hearing it from somewhere else if you see in twitter as well of those accounts who try to impersonate some popular people and saying
to have an airdrop event when you send some money, the address they have also have so much balance gained from these dumb clueless people it's amusing lol. Guess what, those people gonna learn it the hard way to not being greedy or involved into something that's too good to be true.

Wow that is insane, how can a scammer still make such kind of profit in 2021? We all need to be more aware about such scams. It is good that you linked his wallet here, so if anybody searches for it he will find it. It is a bit harsh to call people who fall for scams stupid. With hindsight we realise that a deal sounded to good to be true and was a scam. When I first started out I also fell for a scam because I just believed everything on the internet. It takes something like that to become more cautious. Maybe we can find the person behind the scam and get the money back.

I don't blame the scammer but people who think they can double money that easily, it's a shame that the world is full of people that are completely lazy because if you believe in struggles you won't event look for an easy way out, when it comes to money making the hard way is the only way

The new people who do not know about the crypto will send his Dogecoin to that address and wait for the reward later. But unfortunately, he will not get anything except losing his Dogecoin because that is a scam and they do not know the truth. If people can research before they decide, they will see that the site is just a scam and want to steal their Dogecoin without thinking that it is a fake website.

Karma has a better chance to get to him than the authorities, many of those same authorities are not going to bother to try to find a scammer like this which they know is probably using many methods to obfuscate his identity and the money they can recover is not going to be that significant compared to many other scams, it is sad but we must remember that the first line of defense and in many occasions the only line of defense are the measures we took to protect our coins, but all of that is for nothing if you are willing to send all your coins just for a stranger to supposedly double them.
